[/b][/color] After much consideration had Kimiko decided it was time for her cubs to explore the big outdoor. Although she'd keep an eye on them, just in case and Hajime had agreed to do the same if the cubs strayed off too far from the den. It was raining lightly outside, but still a beautiful dawn when Koma had gotten an okay from his mother to step outside. Red optics eagerly surveyed the den area. So much to explore! The young cub sprinted across the dens with a cheery grin on her face, she stopped to a halt to see an unfamiliar cub, she smiled. The girl was just trying to be social and making new friends, she called. "Hello! My name is Evangeline, Evangeline Caliver. What's your name?" she greeted the other cub with a casual playful smirk, examining the other child curiously.

[/b][/color] Koma's reds landed on the approaching cub. "Hey! I am a Calliver too! Sounds like we're related then. Who are your parents" he replied and tilted his head; " I almost forgot!;The name is Koma Crimson-Calliver. Nice to meet you, Evangline."

Evangeline tilted her head, "Well.. uh.. my mother's name is Ryssor, and my father seems to be Nerante, a healer but to be honest.. I don't feel like he's my father.. or even look like him." She looked down at her markings, she sighed, "This is the same marking as Cocaine, the commander.. so it is a possibility that i'm related to him somehow. But I still accept Nerante for who he is." she said with a smile before shrugging. "Don't mean to be rude but.. who are yours?" she asked, trying to be as polite as possible.

Evangeline put a paw up as to say, 'Wait a minute.' before scenting the commander's scent, whipping around and walking up to him. "Heyo! Hey Koma! You can come and sit with us if you want." she said with a purr before looking up to the second in command with a playful smirk.

Sure she looked a little like Koma's grandfather, but the little grey man had yet to meet Nerante so he was unable to compare Evangeline to the two males. He didn't get much time to ponder about it. Evangeline purred. "That's so cool! The Crimsons' are so awesome! One time I saw Jasper Crimson turn into a small cat and Jasper is usually so big! And Funeral, oh yeah! He's the coolest! He led Meurtrier into battle with La Morte all by himself against Reno and Najisi! Hey, Cocaine! You were there, right? Could you tell us the story on how you fought? Please?!" she said with a grin before looking up to Cocaine's navy gaze before murmuring in his ear innocently. "Your eyes are just like mine, Commander." she said with a curious gaze, tilting her head. "I.. I really don't mean to sound like a weirdo but.. I don't seem to look like Nerante... and the looks he gives me.. it makes me uncomfortable. It feels so wrong! Atryn seems to feel like it too. But.. Caesar.. i'm not too sure about him. But.. I know i'm related to you, Cocaine.. I just wanted to ask you.." she paused before swallowing her throat, her gaze serious and kind.
"Are you my father?"

Evangeline felt a surge of pride overwhelm her.. so Cocaine was her father! She purred before looking up to him in awe, shrugging. "I heard about La Morte and the Chitor Organization in stories and stuff. Why is Meurtrier going against a pride that doesn't want anything to do with them? Are they trying to hurt us, father? If they are, they're making a big mistake." she said, obviously wanting to know more. She went over to sat by her new family member with a smile.

[/i][/color] Cocaine started. It was a small introduction to the big image. Explaining this all to the cubs was a big deal. They were young, easily influenced. The time to learn was at its best. "This was during the brief war with Chitor. Chitor Organization, as it was called, run by Ceon Suldan. He was a gray bloodbeast who wasn't right in the head. As he had claimed our home, Shadow Veldt, and we were on the return from Volcyne, we demanded the land back. They would not give, so war was initiated. Back to Najisi now... Although I didn't like her at the time, I didn't expect out-right traitorous behavior.. she and Reno, without notifying Funeral or I, took it into their own paws to spy on and get close to Ceon and Chitor. Najisi got.. very close."A small pause. "This did lead us to an attack, and the successful reclaim, of our beloved home. Little did we know then.. Najisi had fallen pregnant with Ceon's young. We weren't aware of this until the first battle between La Morte and Meurtrier.. we weren't even aware of La Morte until word was sent of the battle. Brynneth, a traitor to Meurtrier and ally turned traitor of La Morte, gave them away. During the battle, Kazbek stole the life of traitor Krankheit, and Carnal cub-napped Zenith. Zenith, as you may have heard of, is the one who rests in the den with the Donovan-Idens, guarded. She is daughter of Ceon and Najisi.."Cocaine took small breaks between the long explanation and gave the cubs time to think on and truly hear the story as it was told. After he was certain they had absorbed it, he continued. "Najisi betrayed Meurtrier. She betrayed us all. Reno and Najisi dragged others down with them, and for that, we must never forget nor forgive their acts. Now.. about being scared.." He turned his attention to Koma. "Let me tell you a secret, both of you." Cocaine said, and with his paws out, brought both cubs closer. "Everyone gets scared. Scared of death, losing a loved one, of losing, of forgetting, and of many other things. No one is immune to being scared. Even me. But don't tell anyone, they may think I'm not so tough." He winked at Koma and Eva'. "Fear is a great motivator, as is love and loyalty. But to answer you directly, Koma, have I been scared in battle? No. Not.. not yet. I do not fear dying in battle, as I would die honorable, having protected the pride."[/i] He said.[/ul][/blockquote] |

Evangeline giggled at Cocaine's words of him being afraid. She purred before looking over and snuggling beside her new friend and family member, she smirked. "Don't worry, father. I'm sure your name will be kept safe." she said reassuringly before chuckling with a grin. "I'm just a bit curious on when we can get to training. I'm so excited for that!" she said with a smile before laying down, her head on her paws.
