Body leaned against a cold wall of the blackened mountain. Red gaze stared up at a starless sky. Darkness. Everywhere there was darkness. But it was the price one paid for turning against the light. Nearly two thousand years it had been since The Dividing. Since the first war between the light and the darkness. Since the first evils uprooted to plaque the world. Lestat stared upon the sky's void before he finally turned away. Though he felt he had paid his dues many years ago, still here he was. Wrongly exiled was he. Lestat had not joined the forces of the shadows. No, he had tainted his own soul by killing another over petty emotions. He was not evil. He was just emotionally weak. At least, he had been all those years ago. But even so, his actions reddened the iris and blackened the hair. A hand traveled up to be examined. How long had it been since that skin had felt the warmth of the sun? Lestat yearned to bask, but not even the moon's light penetrated here. His flesh was now pale and oh so cold. And.. Oh how disgusting.. Lestat began the process of picking the dirt out from under his nails. Footsteps were soon heard. Straightening up Lestat witnessed a very scrawny male shuffle in approach. A bundle held tightly in his arms. "Lestat." Was his cackle-voiced greeting. Lestat himself did not know this demon's name, only that they were meet here and that he would be receiving a very special delivery. "Is this it?" He simply asked the scrawny one. To which the smaller snorted rather obscenely. "This is not an it. This is a who and this who is the one." Came the little demon's snarky wailish of a reply. But Lestat had no reaction for the words. He had heard it many times before. All had ended up the same. Dead. "Well lets have it then." Lestat sighed, arms outstretched for the slumbering infant. It was always the same. Mortal woman had their children with demons, or some other inhuman creature, for the child to be prophesized as the savior of this forsaken place only for it to be false and the infant dying within days. But what could one expect. For the child to become this "special one" they had to go through a most horrific ritual. Lestat looked upon the baby with no emotion. Thousands of times he had done this. Countless infants he had killed in the sake of a savior. With the sharp nail of his thumb he cut the child, causing him to bleed profusely. To which the baby immediately began to cry in discomfort as he slowly bled out. Lestat gave his scrawny companion a side long glance. The smaller's bright yellow eyes only looked upon the child and the blood with utter glee and excitement. Lestat inwardly rolled his eyes. What a shmuck. The tiny being was then placed into a tomb on the side of the dark dead mountain. There is where he shall be left. If Lestat returned to the child breathing in slumber then they had indeed found their one. But again.. Lestat had done this thousands of times. This will be no different... He thought skeptically. To him they were all here for what they had done. Their punishment was eternal. They had become not only their own breed, but their own species. And this, he knew, they could not be saved of.

Deep golden glared back into dark caramel. Both eyes never wavering from the others gaze. “I refuse such a bonding! It is an outrage a disgusting thing! Very few females may birth a babe that alone is rare enough but for a royal to be the sire of the such off spring? Its preposterous. They will be monsters! Abominations!” the elder male screeched. His pointed ears tinged red on the tips and his normally pale face flushed in rage. His silken and white robes trembled with each gasping breath he took. His long silvery gray hair tied loosely to the base of his neck The younger male eyed his father in amusement. “well father it’s a shame but what’s done is done! All I know is that my dear brother is out there now fleeing this very mountain with that half blood woman. If I where you I’d stop this while you have the chance.” Emmin looked t his youngest born and frowned before setting softly into his throne, his pale hand seemed to glow with its own magic as he brought it to his forehead and sighed in exhaustion. “Yes, please Namu, take four of your best and retrieve your brother for me.” Namu nodded and turned away from his father.

“Please Scen let us rest! I can not take much more of such exertion!” the watery blue haired female called to her lover. Her pale almost white eyes watered with frustration. She had fled with her lover many moons ago and now that they were so far away from the pure mountain the darkness had weakened their light magic. The cold had begun to nip at their sandaled feet. Her toes a shade of red. Slowly she lowered herself to the fallen log nearby. Her huffs and puffs of breaths filling the mostly silent forest around them. Her hand landed longingly over her belly and she gently stroked small circles. She looked up to ‘Scen’ and smiled fondly. “well Scen? Don’t you wish to fell your little ones kick inside me? It was you who put the little ones there, the least you could do is soothe their restlessness.” She cocked her head to the side almost mockingly. Scen looked eyed Momo carefully. He was looking for any signs of major fatigue though she was sweaty she looked normal for their kind. Slowly his eyes landed on the slightly rounded belly. “are you scared? about their becoming?” his golden gaze glanced at the others belly. he whispered as he slowly approached his lover, and his soul bound. Momo eyed her soul carefully. “why ever would I be scared? Just cause they are not full does not make them monsters. Look at me? I am an Elvenium though the blood is greatly diluted I am very little different from you.” Scen eyed the younger female. True but she was different. Her ears though pointed where not as prominent as his, her magic though gave her its own glow and aura did not do much to protect her. His literally was so prominent that it cut off it’s own shadow. All Elvenium Royalty did not poses a shadow their magic so pure it banished all shade of darkness from them. Momo’s and other lower class Elvenium didn’t have that luxury most had a very faint shadow, even Momo had a darkness that fallowed her every where. The woman’s life span was already at its peak when he had still several hundred years left on him. But it wasn’t their differences that worried him. His father had wormed his way into his mind. The thought of his young turning into ghoulish monsters was just so thick he couldn’t help but second guess himself. Momo eyed Scen before slowly out stretching her hand and grasping his. The gold eyes fallowed her actions with a practiced ease. And he tensed slowly as she brought the palm to rest gently over her abdomen. Even at such a young age he could feel strong Elvenium magic from within the others womb. And not just that but there was three very powerful fetuses within her. He smiled slowly and looked Momo in the eyes as he lowered himself to her stomach and leaned his forehead against the bump smiling slowly. His golden eyes closed and his long golden locks fell around his face as for just once in his life he tried to listen to the beat of another’s heart.

Voices rang out from deep with the mountain. The dead land had seemingly done the impossible, it had come alive; though not literally. It was alive with activity. Many dark creatures stood crammed into the main chamber of the mountain. All spoke overtop others, creating an almost ear splitting volume of buzz that had Lestat looking quite irritated. He didn't want to be here. He didn't care for this. But it involved the boy he had taken under his wing. And so he lingered in the back. Lestat lifted a hand to pinch the bridge of his nose, brows furrowing. All of this was pointless. The child was far too young yet to lead anything. These morons wanted him to lead an attack on Muue Tain. Impatient bastards.. "Why not ask the child what he plans to do?!" The anonymous voice boomed through out the chamber. No one fell completely silent. The roar only dimmed. Lestat looked up then, searching the crowd for the youth. No signs. A heavy sigh expelled from the demon as he wormed his way through the crowd to the exit. Calmly he made his way through the winding corridors. If the boy wasn't there, then there was only one true place Lestat was sure he'd find him.
A smile rested upon the child's face as he watched the sun slowly sink into nothingness. Deep blue's travelled to one of this arms as it supported his torso upright. The light gradually slipped down his skin until he was covered in shadow. A deep voice startled Qwarin as someone cleared their throat. Jumping to his feet, the youth turned to give his guardian a sheepish smile. "You had other obligations." Lestat said dryly. Qwarin's hand shot up to rub the back of his neck, a nervous habit of his. "I know I know.. I just.. It was too crowded and really really loud." Lestat looked up to watch the last of the sun sink out of sight. As it vanished he stepped from the shadows, gaze on the boy returned. Qwarin had been born with sandy brown hair and naturally tanner skin. Though only, physically, ten years of age the kid's skin was already starting to pale, black creeping into his locks and a small tinge of red lined his pupils. Lestat couldn't help but feel sorry for him. Still so young.. It was unfair in the tainted Elvenium's eyes. Qwarin was robbed the chance of a normal childhood. He had survived when countless other infants had not. But to Lestat that was only happenstance. Turning the poor boy into a creature of darkness did not make him a savior. This dark place was inhabited by hopeful ignorant jackasses. "Live with the decisions you made and leave him out of this!" But those words had fallen upon deaf ears. To all of them Qwarin was a great thing. He would be a most powerful demon. Granted Lestat didn't doubt that. The longer one slept into transition the stronger their powers. The infant had bled, survived and slumbered for nearly two hundred years. He would be powerful indeed. But was it enough for what all those idiots wanted? Lestat absolutely did not think so. Finally the older nodded in understanding. He himself was grateful for getting out of there. "Alright." Lestat placed a palm on his charges head. To which earned him a wide grin. "We don't have to return.. Yet." Qwarin tilted his head for a moment before pivoting on his heel. "Good. How about some exploring?" Deep blue's pleaded into Lestat's red. How could he say no to that look... Well, he hadn't been able to thus far. "Couldn't hurt. Might as well be looking busy for whoever they decide to send after us." Qwarin's face lit up with glee. "I'll lead the way!" He called excitedly as he dashed off. Lestat walked leisurely in suit. "You always do kiddo." He murmured softly, eyes travelling back over his shoulder momentarily.

Chiri looked at her father eyes pleading as tears welled in the deep silver pools. Light sparkled around in her eyes giving a glittery effect. The child was so pure and light shined at it’s fullest around the girl. Scen looked away from his daughter unable to meet the gaze knowing if he did he would crack and allowed her to do anything her heart desired.
The five year old was mature for her age as a matter of fact all three of the young Elvenium were, but Chiri was the most powerful and her father knew this and that was the reason for his over protective behavior. Though he had been try to teach the three young Elvenium to conceal their light, as it attracted tainted and worse yet demon of the shadows. Nightly Scen went out hunting the very bastards that wish to kill and claim the light of his small family. Still after training day in and day out the small Elvenium’s were unable to conceal their light still leaving the family exposed to the elements of darkness.
Looking at his daughter he sighed. “no, I have said so countless times you may not! What if someone found you? I would be unable to make it to you in time and they will kill you child- Knight put your sister down I have told you that the woods are not your play ground now drop her!” Scen turned away from his youngest born to his oldest and middle child, one having the other pinned by her ankles by vines. Always the two to fight Knight remained still glaring at his sister. Stomping away Scen snarled in rage at his two older children ready to lecture them to the ends of eternity. His long golden silk like hair wisped behind him as he stomped very ungracefully over to their sides.
Chiri grinned and looked into the small hutch they called home to see that her heavily pregnant mother was too busy cooking to pay any heed to the obnoxious group of four out side. Turning on her sandaled heels and skittered away from the larger group the small stream and oasis Chiri's destination.
Chiri reached said destination in a mere 10 minutes and without a thought knelt to the ground to play in the water as her waist long silver curls bounced over her shoulder; her pointed ears on alert for danger but her glittery eyes fascinated by the small waves in the water. Gently Chiri lifted her hand out of the water hoping to get the water to fallow her small finger tips but the water merely bubbled up before falling back into the stream. Chiri growled slightly but tried again, and again, and again. 30 minutes had passed and Chiri was exhausted tears welling in her eyes, as she thought back to her brother and sister. The blonde, and Alabaster haired two had been able to move Aelo, but yet Chiri was still unable to bend the water for much more than a few inches. The small silver glow enhanced around her in her anger but dimmed as she took a deep breath in and let it out in defeat. Aelo the liquid of life, covering nearly 70% of this world and one of the easiest elements to contort with Elvenium’s magic and yet even though most Elvenium’s her age would have mastered not only water but air too. she had yet to do so, here she sat toes in the cool water and the only part of Aisty she had mastered was breathing.
Flopping onto her back Chiri closed her eyes her silver strains splayed out behind her in a halo as she very easily fell asleep in a very much so darkening world. It would be moon rise when her eyes opened up again.

Lestat had left midway through their "adventuring". The older male had other things he needed to do. What those things were exactly Qwarin may perhaps never know. He was grateful that his mentor trusted him enough to be left on his own. It was just so bothersome having an escort every damn step of the way. They thought he was so great and could do all these amazing things yet they didn't think he could handle himself? Puh! At least he had Lestat. He always understood.
Qwarin now wandered through a forest with no clear destination. In his head he made up his own world, where he controlled his own fate. It was also always nice to get away from that dead and blackened land. It would be many more years until Qwarin could no longer withstand the light of anything. Lestat encouraged the boy to enjoy and experience the day for as long as he could; to which he did full heartedly. The Halfling now found himself beside a small stream. Adventure still pumping through his veins, Qwarin dashed down alongside the water; excited at where it would lead him. Several minutes passed before he came to a stop. A figure from across the water had caught his attention. Leaping back into the trees for cover he examined his surroundings. The being was tiny, much smaller than himself. Qwarin's eyes were not yet as advanced as the Dark Elvenium, but even still he could plainly see that the figure was not mortal. It was not human. With care he stepped from the trees and silently picked his way across the water, using the few exposed stones to step upon. One the last step to land he paused, crouched as low as he could and sniffed the air like an animal. Still rounded ears honed in for any danger. When he deemed the all clear Qwarin leapt to the bank soundlessly. Again he crouched, this time beside the now identified female. Blue gaze swept over the girl in confusion. Lestat taught him all about the Elvenium. He had learned a lot about their powers and their skills. All the demons talked about the Light Elvenium as if they were the monsters that prowled the shadows. That they were too cunning for their own good and how they could never be trusted. Lestat never described them that way. But regardless of what he was told, Qwarin had yet to ever meet one. Had yet to make his own decision on the Light beings. Standing Qwarin lightly kicked at the girl with his boot. There was no intent on harm on his part. "Hey.. Fairy.. You'll catch cold laying there like that.." Not knowing if she was in fact an Elvenium he decided that until he did know, she was going to be a fairy.

Chiri yelped and winced lightly as she slowly rolled onto her hands and knees, blearily looking at the figure that had rudely awoken her. Slowly she let her eyes fallow the being in front of her. She whimpered as her fathers voice came hauntingly back to her. “Never let any one that isn’t family near you when darkness has fallen. Never! They will only bring you harm.”
Chiri looked up at the sky and a soft whimper escaped when she saw the dark sky before her. Looking at the taller boy once more she whimpered and before she could help herself her eyes filled with tears. Her small first came up to her eyes and fisted in front of her damp eyes “please i- I’m not a Fairy! I’m a-” the light around her began to go unbalanced once more. Her natural glow picked up and she whimpered.
If only she had better control of her light, right now she knew she was making herself a beacon for all dark creatures but they where not her problem or fear at the immediate moment, it was the being before her that had her riled up. Slowly she stood still whimpering in fear as she eyed the being before. “please don’t eat me…” she begged her ‘Sundassa’ her light picking up as it flickered brighter then darker. As she backed away waiting for this being to make his move.
If need be she could try to defend herself with her elements but right now she even doubted that as a possibility with her ‘skills’. Then again she could scream for her father. Suddenly she stopped crying. Her daddy probably wouldn’t be able to hear her, but if she could run as fast as possible she might be able to reach an area close enough for her father to reach her. Before she could help herself her legs had tensed her tears dried and she tried to make a made dash to the general direction she was ‘sure’ her family resided.
