HAGAN
[/i] He spat in returned. His heart began to beat faster and faster, pumped up and angry with Aidan.. how could she act like this? "So don't.. don't tell /me/ or my siblings to be grateful. Don't assume we're not. Maybe you should go and mind your business els--" He caught his breath, throat tightened, eyes wide and she shrunk back behind his siblings. Behind Aidan stood Areta, tail twitching subtly as she looked down on them. Her approach had been deathly quietly, and now she stood beside Aidan. Once glance to her was all she granted, then to her young. As if to say, watch which waters you tread, the ice is thinning. Areta continued straight on past Hagan, Renita, and Merlette. She glanced over her shoulder, but then went on. It was clear that she hadn't heard much, but she knew something had been going on.. yet she had no desire to be involved. The youth had their problems, and the youth needed to figure it out among themselves. Areta had merely been patrolling. As soon as their mother passed, Hagan exhaled and collapsed in a bubbly mess of fear.[/ul][/blockquote]

Merlette felt herself become deathly calm, silent rage bubbling in her gut. Whatever anyone said, their older half sister would have none of it, there was no point in arguing with a wall. She spat in Aiden's direction, even if they fought, it would be the older female that would most likely be punished worse. Attacking one much younger than herself would look very bad. The pale form of her mother caused her to tense up slightly, but she did not remove her eyes from Aiden.
As Hagan fell to the ground she backed up next to him and nuzzled his head in comfort, eyes flicking back up to glare at Aiden. Renita, poor thing, was trying to be civil. She would have snorted if she could.

Aidan lashed her tail in annoyance, then blinked when Hagar fell to the ground. Her head turned to look at what he feared so to see Areta looking at them, warning them. Aidan's lip curled. Areta was not her mother to give her any kind of warning or treat her like so. Instead Aidan ignored her, and Merlette as she spat at her. She waited for Areta to be gone, then sat down, sighing heavily. "I would not be so angry if you would understand where I am coming from. In this, would not my own mother be wronged? No. Why? Because she is gone. All I am saying is that at least you have your mother - whether she be wronged or not. At least she is still around. At least you have your siblings. We are all upset by this, in that we are alike." Another sigh. "What I am trying to say is that I would honestly rather be in your place, with a mother and siblings, while facing this then I would as I am now. Alone." With that she stood and began pacing.
"Adelaide has no right to have stormed in here and taken our father away from us, and she certainly has not earned the dominant title. But Renita is right too - what's done is done. Trust me when I say though the moment Adelaide screws up, I'll be the first to make her and Father aware of it." As she said this last part she snarled at the ground, digging her claws into the dirt beneath her before calming and looking back at the three with calm clear eyes.

Renita
The bluky 'ess curled her lip in annoyance as the female continued to complain. I tried to be nice, she hissed inwardly, ears flattening. She wanted to say something so bad, but her mother's presence made her keep her tongue idle... If she could read her mute sister's thoughts, they would be on the same page. It was obvious all this female wanted to do was complain on her woes. Sure, she was alone, but she could have their support if she weren't snapping at them at the moment. Renita would be perfectly willing to be friends, but at the moment, that was apparently out of the question.
Renita didn't like complaining, nagging, or anything of the sort. The repetitiveness of the situation was seeming that way- and though the snarling on her maw had ceased, the look of annoyance didn't. As the female seemed to calm down, Renita sighed and tried to speak, before anyone else got to spitting again. "We get it... You feel alone. And you don't think we appreciate what we have. Trust me honey, we do, we appreciate our mother and our siblings... Even our half-ones. At least, I do." She started, pausing as if to gesture towards the half sibling in front of her, and looking to her brother and sister. "You don't have to be so alone, I mean we could just all get along, hell we're all dad's kids here. I think us arguing about everything, when we're all thinking the same thing on the situation, is getting to be pretty pointless right about now."

Aidan looked at Renita for a semi-long moment before flicking her tail and speaking, intentionally not giving Hagan a chance to speak. "Look, I don't mean to sound like a pity party. that's not what I'm asking for and I don't mean to be rude when you're trying to be nice, but honestly? Until just now, we haven't even spoken. And that was with me going off on you because in the beginning I thought you were insulting dad. We may have the same opinions on Adelaide but I don't see either side running to support the other either." Her voice was much softer this time. She shrugged, because what she said was the truth. "And what else is there to be said about a choice we loathe. If I were going by what Hagan said, then Lyrah - my own mother - should be with Dad. But there are things as one night stands. Wronged or not, why look in the past? I won't lie and say I'm not jealous of what you guys have. Cause I am. Dad was all I've ever know." Another shrug. "And until this moment we had not one thing in common. Kind of says a lot about your appreciation for half sibs, no?" Aidan kept her tone light, not condescending at all, not even the slightest hiss as she finished speaking. She was done fighting because she had nothing to fight for. But she wasn't an idiot, and she had just been making herself out to be one just then.
Not an intentional skip but one if those posts where if I didn't do it now I would have forgotten it. x:

Alfwin was up to his usual business of lurking. He was quite good at it to boot. He observed all the siblings fighting and snorted softly. While he idolized Raegan, his children had not earned the same respect. It was one thing to complain, it was another to chat about others behind their backs. He slipped.down and bore teeth, though more casual. "Why don't you chat about the dominants with the dominants? All this closed den secrecy is bull shit. Just be glad you have parents. Both my mother and father are dead."

Merlette looked up from comforting Hagan, her lip curling at Alfwin. Standing, she padded over to him, leaning in so that they were eye to eye. She could not speak, but she did her best to convey her message of dislike to her with her icy gaze. This was none of his concern, just because he had some schoolboy crush on her father did not give him a right to butt into this conversation. She would have snarled if she could.
She jerked her head to the side in a motion that clearly said "Leave".

HAGAN
[/i] It was clear that Alfwin and Aidan were going to only continue to rain on the childrens' parade as far as Hagan was concerned, and he was terribly upset that they were, essentially, being told not to have an opinion on the matter. He refused look at Aidan or Alfwin, but he added, "Alone. You know, just us three siblings so we don't have to worry about being bothered over a discussion that we didn't invite no one else too.."[/ul][/blockquote]

Renita
An obvious frown crawled upon her face at the response. The female's ending words may not have been meant to sound condescending, but to her, they really did, and she hopped to defend herself. "I do appreciate it, but you made about the same effort to know us too, you know." She muttered, noting her brother's want to be alone. She quite liked that idea now, seeing that even her trying to be nice wasn't really getting through the way she was wanting it to. She tried to sympathize, but it was clear that no matter what she said; Aidan wanted to be a debby downer. Her eyes stayed a bit longer upon the female, before turning to Hagan. "Yeah, why don't we do that?"
A slight snort was given to Alfwin, to whom she had never had trouble with before, but she felt the need to at least comment nonchalantly. "It's none of your concern what our opinions are, if we want you to hear 'em we'll speak out, same with the Dominants. It's not like we're planning an overthrow, just talking among ourselves, is that a crime?"
