(This takes place right after Adelaide's given birth, out in the Veldt!)
HAGAN
[/i] He pondered out loud. Areta and he had congratulated Adelaide before, but Hagan wondered what truly rested in the mind of mummy dearest. Maybe she really did mean the congratulations.. Hagan didn't. He doubted his sister did, either. [/ul][/blockquote]

(Oh ho ho ho)
MERLETTE
Merlette made a point to stay away from the tigress and her little rats, she would not grace the newborns with her presence. While she felt nothing but loathing for Adelaide and her new half siblings, deep down she knew neither had done anything to truly warrant her distaste...but it did not matter. She had no voice to spit her animosity, and even if she did, she would grin and bear it.
A familiar voice caused her to perk her ears, her brother seemed to be talking to himself again. Giving her head a shake to clear away the red hot thoughts that clawed at her brain, she padded over to the pale male with a nod in greeting.

Merlette
What...wat. Hagan was her brother and she loved him as only a sister could, but she didn't want to sound traitorous. She kept her head at an even level, neither up nor down and lifted a brow at him. She kept her ears pricked for the sounds of others nearby, was there anyone close enough to hear him? No sounds other than the two siblings, but still. A nearly imperceptible lowering of the head.
It felt wrong...the idea of taking orders from some female that she barely knew, that was not even a demonic...leading a clan of demonics. It grated at her nerves.

HAGAN
[/i] He lowered his voice, cautious, realizing that was probably why she seemed hesitant. "I.. I just wish mother was dominant. She's been around for ages hasn't she..? So why doesn't she lead.." Hagan mumbled.[/ul][/blockquote]

Renita
"Who is fit?" A voice prodded in from the background, ignoring the obvious tension that filled the air between her mute sister and white brother. Of course, the question was coy, she already knew what they were speaking about. It was no secret by now that her siblings were distraught with the choices that their father made, in accepting a non-demonic as his mate, and the leader of Jaaku. To Renita, it was a disgrace, but she did a swell job at hiding it. Who was she to speak out against Reagan's decision, Adelaide was his mate, and their mother was not. But she knew how her siblings felt, and knew that whatever their views were, she would follow them. "I see the knew arrivals aren't greeted with much enthusiasm huh?"

MERLETTE
Wait...what. She lifted a paw to the side of her head as if massaging a headache. Renita's voice caused her to flinch, dark fur puffing out in surprise. The snapped her head over to her caramel colored sibling, staring for a few minutes with a glare before slowly nodding.
She had nothing to fear from her sister, but still felt hesitant letting her in on her feelings.

HAGAN
[/i] He winked sheepishly, teasing his sister, but lovingly. "Can't say I'm happy.. ma' should be dominant.. or something.. right?" He asked, head tilted at Renita.[/ul][/blockquote]

Renita
She smirked at her brother's greeting, but looked away and gave a heavy sigh as he mentioned their mother's leadership- or, lack there of. "Trust me, I would be happy for our mother if she got that position over Adelaide... But ultimately brother, it's our father's choice." She said, but didn't look too happy about saying it. As she came to sit close to her siblings, she flopped down to a sit and shook her head. "To me, mom is the stronger choice by far... But I don't control who his heart falls for or who his chooses as mate. How it ended up that way, I'm not sure, but I hope to at least try and trust his judgement. At least, until it goes wrong."

Both siblings had a point, she listened without adding anything herself, as usual. She would try and be civil, even if the thought of the tigress and her cubs made her want to shudder with rage.
What had the tigress done to deserve her rank? Just being a favorite fucktoy of her fathers? She was not sure what to think of her father right now, it hurt her head less to just not think of him.

Aidan had been listening and watching from not far off. Each word and motion said and spoken pissed her off. How dare they? How dare they question her father? She leapt forward towards the teens, towards her other half siblings, a snarl erupting from her maw. "You have no right to question my fathers decision. OUR fathers decision you little brats." She hissed at them. "You should be happy that he is happy, that he has found happiness. And you've no reason to be angry at all! At least you lot HAVE your siblings! At least you HAVE your mother. I don't even approve of Adelaide and I never will, but damn, at least I'll allow Dad to be happy, even when I'm losing him as a dad..." She trailed off at the end, her voice soft, nearly breaking. Because it was true. What did she have now? Her building relationship with her dad was dying now. She knew it would go no further. Her head turned to the side, and she clenched her jaw. She had no mother. No siblings. And now no dad. And yet these brats stood there complaining. She sighed then sat down begrudgingly. "But I understand your point perhaps more than any other." She murmured.

MERLETTE
The older female was in a rage it seemed, Merlette bared her fangs and leapt infront of her two siblings on instinct. Her ears flattened back in anger as she listened to Aiden spout her rant. Luckily her brother spoke her thoughts for her, maybe less elegantly put, but the overall same message. She relaxed some, but kept her body between her siblings and Aiden.
She flicked Hagan's shoulder with her tail, that was enough, if they hadn't attracted the eyes of the whole clan yet then it wouldn't be too far off if the yelling continued.

Renita
Aiden's sudden appearance startled the caramel sister, especially considering it was met with immediate snarls. Renita leaped to her paws, teeth gleaming and preparing to lunge at the attacker to protect her siblings. When words came through though, and she realized who she was talking to, she still felt the need to keep up the warning snarl. "Calm down, Aidan." She hissed, stepping between her and her brother. However, her threatening demeanor faded as the female trailed out, admitting their points. The 'ess let her fut lie flat, and she took a slow step towards her half sister, speaking a bit softer. "I'm sorry you feel especially wronged... And we do appreciate our dad's happiness... It's just that we don't understand his actions, we have a damn right to speak our opinions. But as I said, I respect his judgement until it goes wrong, which it hasn't so far." She said simply, ears folding back.

Aidan's hackles raised again at Hagar, fangs bared once more and as Merlette jumped between then she scoffed. She could easily defeat her younger sibling. Renita's words only ticked her off more but she didn't stand from when she sat down. Merely snarled out her next words. "Its like you heard nothing I said. At least you have each other. At least you have your mother. You should focus on that, and not his decision. We don't have to approve. I already said that. We also don't have to make sense of it - why? Because /your/ mother isn't dominant?" Aidan scoffed again. "Be grateful you still have her. Be grateful she is still around and very much loving. Shame she doesn't make dad happy. But Adelaide does. And we again we all have reasons to disapprove, Adelaide certainly doesn't have my vote /and/ she knows it too. But regardless of if she does wrong or not, it is not our place to question it. And I cannot believe you lot are raging over this when you still have your family." Once more her words finished softly. She had no intention of attacking them. But.. she looked at Renita. "Don't tell me to calm down either. I have every right to be upset." Hagar, "Stand up. I won't hurt you." Merlette. "And don't try and fight me little one."
