Meur can join as well ♥ I just couldn't think of a name. Aidan, Cheri, Nixen
Aidan sat near the middle of Shadow Veldt, watching the sun rise for a moment. She was bored out of her mind, and her thoughts going back to what her father and her had discussed. Jaaku had not had a lot of time together recently, nor had they had much training together either. Therefore the newest members were not getting to know their Clanmates - nor where they getting any training. Her and her father both shared concerns about the teenagers of the Clan born from Dax and Kegan's final litters. Especially Dax's three, and she intended to do just as her father had subtly requested, and take on the role that she asked if it was okay for her to do so.
So here she stood, heart hammering in the slightest, and let out a roaring call for the Jaaku members. Meurtrier were more than welcome to show up of course - a call was a call and it could easily attract Meurtrian attention as to what it's about. She sat there, waiting however, claws grinding into the dirt beneath her paws, and while outwardly she looked calm as she waited seemingly impatiently, inwardly she was a nervous wreck.
Cheri's head shot up at the sound of a Demonic Lion's roar. She tilted her head curiously - it was not Raegan that was calling. Still she stood and crossed over the green grass, and was instead met with Raegan's daughter - Aidan. She blinked in surprise. "Aidan, what's this about?"
Nixen's ears flicked in agitation. Who on earth would be roaring this morning? Yawning, stretching, and standing, Nixen trotted over, meeting Cheri along the way. He ignored the beige prairie, and instead looked at Aidan - his niece, as odd as that was. Her being older than him. As Cheri beat him to asking the main question, he tilted his head and waited, eyes narrowed into nearly a glare. [/blockquote]

Merlette
The silent female flicked an ear as a call went out across the veldt, it was familiar, one of Jaaku. Narrowing her eyes, she mulled over whether to go see what was going on. Finally, she shrugged and trotted towards the source. So far three of Jaaku had already gathered.
Pricking her ears, she looked at Aiden, who seemed to be the origin of the noise.
OOC: Short. :D

FARRAH, HAGAN, PAROX, ARETA, TEAR
[/i] He asked his sister. A quick glance over his should informed him that Areta had met up with Tear and both mothers were headed their way. Farrah tailed Tear. Mother and daughter thing, he guessed. Then again he had just woken up from a nap with his own ma'.. did that make him a mommy's boy? Whatever. Parox had been on a hunt. In fact, he'd just returned unsuccessful when he heard a call. He frowned deeply and walked toward it, then found himself surprised when it was Aidan up there, getting Jaaku's attention -- and possibly even Meurtrier's. "This had better be good!" He shouted.[/ul][/blockquote]

Adelaide silently approached from afar, a pair of nutria in her jaws as she walked toward the call. She had recognized the owner of the voice from their earlier encounter. She dropped one off in the pile near the dens, but held onto the other as she approached, her stomach hungering for the fresh meat. She laid down not too far from where Aidan was, but away from the rest of the group. She started to rip up the over-sized rodent and swallow pieces as others arrived, grumbling and appearing less than pleased. As always, she stood out like a sore thumb in present company, but it did not bother her. She almost felt proud to be the only tiger in the Veldt.
As Adelaide was most active at dawn and dusk, the call had caught her at a good time. Her favorite time to nap was in the heat of the day. Mornings were for hunting. She yawned once she finished her meal and tilted her head at the more irritable arrivals. "Isn't it obvious?" she inquired, not willing to let Aidan be harassed. She was young and she doubted the female was used to being the subject of other's anger. "We're in the midst of a war. It is time to start honing our skills." Yet Adelaide remained laying. This may have made her seem lazy, but she always had caught a fair amount of animals before most of the clan awoke. Often, she hunted a bit outside of the Veldt. She did not mind that most of the others preferred to spend their days playing or relaxing. She like to to keep her skills at a razor edge, as she knew she could go from hunting deer to hunting lions with no effort at all and no loss of accuracy.

Aidan, Cheri, Nixen
Aidan opened her mouth to speak when a familiar voice beat her to it, and she was successfully able to hide the glower that threatened to appear on her face. Instead, Aidan merely nodded in Adelaide's direction, and then turned back to the others. She couldn't deny that Adelaide had given her a slight confidence boost, but she would never admit it aloud to others. "That is exactly why I have called you together. I have spoken with my father, Raegan, and with his permission, we have decided to start training. We need it, as Adelaide said, we are in the midst of a war. While Meurtrier may very well be able to deal with La Morte on their own - we do not know of the aide they will bring in future battles to come." She paused briefly, looking around at those that have gathered. "And let's be honest. We have not trained together as a Clan in quite sometime. Our claws are not sharp for two or even three against one, and we must be prepared for all possibilities." Her tail tip flicked at her side, her heartbeat raced in her chest, but somehow, she had managed to remain calm.
Cheri narrowed her eyes at Aidan, at Adelaide, in curiousity. Something was off there, she noticed, in the way that Aidan didn't turn to look at her. "So in this, we would also be forming closer bonds as well, I suppose?" She shrugged and sat down. "I'm all for it. It has been a while, you are correct in that."
Nixen glanced at his cousin, Parox. Someone was grumpy, and part of him wanted to ask why, but he paused when Adelaide, then Aidan, spoke again. Eyes widened, and he bounced upwards on his toes. Excitement bubbled off of his pelt, "We haven't done any real training yet." Was his only input as he added onto what others were saying.

[/style][/td] [td][atrb=width,500,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign,top][bg=3D0002] » TOBERON & BACARDI Rounded ears had flicked at the call of someone near the middle of the Veldt, but Toberon hadn't gone to see what it was until he noticed his mother and sister. Upon noting their intentions to gather, he bounded after them until he caught up. He arrived just after the females, but still was able to catch what Aidan had said. Toberon hadn't ever seen her before, but he wasn't surprised. As well, he wondered what was going on. The war hadn't affected him much, and he didn't really think that he would have to fight in it or anything. He just assumed that his use would lie elsewhere, such as gathering herbs or scouting out the enemy. Oh well, Toby was always eager to gain knowledge and he doubted that anything he might learn here would go to waste. It was a respectable cause and Toberon would gladly work to protect his family and friends. Perhaps they would let him scout. That way he could venture beyond the Shadow Veldt and see what there was to see besides cherry blossoms and caves of lava. What an exciting idea that was to Toberon. If learning to fight was a prerequisite, then so be it! "I'm ready!"
The call to assembly would not go unnoticed by the young demonic lioness. Bacardi approached the group, narrowed salmon-red eyes flickering from one Jaaku member to the other. She immediately singled out Nixen and Parox, and gave each of them a smirk. Everyone else was mostly ignored, except for the tan mother she had spat with before and her halfbred brats. They were avoided, but she glowered anyway. "What's all this crap?" Bacardi hissed under his breath as she got closer to her brother and cousin. Training? "Pffft." Bec liked to play rough, but somehow when she did it, it was an act of violence. Anyone else and it would have just been juvenile fun. War? Hmph, she didn't know why she was obligated to defend the clan that would mostly rather see her die in battle anyway. Well.. there were a few she thought would be worth fighting for. If they were to be part of the war, she couldn't let her siblings and close cousins go have all the fun without her. A little sparring was always amusing anyway. "Honey, them Bloodbeasts ain't got nothin' on us." A wicked grin spread as she prowled into the group and stood there with her head low and ears erect. Bacardi chuckled darkly as she thought about her clanmates ripping into each other for the sake of improvement. She wondered how thin the line was between training and treachery. Bec couldn't decide if she was glad that something bloody and interesting was going on, or if she was annoyed that they had to fight for something they didn't even start. Still, Bacardi continued to grin that devilish grin and figured that she might as well participate.

Merlette
She listened as her pridemates babbled amongst themselves, silently taking in the situation. Battle training would be useful indeed, as much as she'd hated to admit it, she wasn't all that good of a fighter. But there was always room for improvement. Ignoring the mumbling and growls of the others talking around her, Merlette fixed her sight on Aiden, she had called the meeting so she supposed it was up to her to explain what was to happen.
Her brother had padded up to her and it took the dark female a moment to get to him, whats going on eh? She flicked an ear towards Aiden, if it wasn't obvious already. She wondered how Hagan would do in a fight.

FARRAH, HAGAN, PAROX, ARETA, TEAR
[/i] Farrah teased. She knew they were both well matched. They had to be! Being the same age meant the same abilities, right? Farrah tilted her head to Toberon, as if asking him. Areta let Hagan and Merlette stay near, but she did move aside to discuss things with Tear. Both mothers were, in fact, quietly talking. Though it didn't last long. Areta finished and Tear walked back over to her children as her daughter bounced around her brother. Areta looked down to Merlette and Hagan. "Training, as I'm sure you've both heard.." She trailed on and raised her head to look at Bacardi, Nixen, and Parox, then she looked at Aidan. Areta had no personal quarrels with Bacardi. Her children would learn to defend themselves from others, as would Bacardi and her friends. Tear had expressed worry that Bacardi may take the chance to pair up with Toberon or Farrah to beat them up -- to which Areta tried to reassure her training wasn't mean to be killing, and Bacardi would get in trouble if she went too far. Nevertheless, Areta would keep an eye out, seeing as she felt no need to train. She did so every other week by herself. Parox was still moody and really not up to the idea of training. He'd failed a hunt, hadn't eaten, and really hadn't slept much lately. Every little noise was deemed annoying and unnecessary. Nixen's excitement even seemed to irritate Parox to the point he unsheathed his claws and dug them into the dirt. Then Bacardi came over. "It isn't even out fuckin' war." He muttered beneath his breath. "Why should we have to put up with training when we're not the ones who bred traitors." He shot a glance towards Meurtrier members who lingered near, but too far to actually hear him. [/ul][/blockquote]

(Not the most important thing right now, but might as well keep it going too :3) Aidan, Cheri, Nixen
Aidan took a glance around, standing to her paws. Adelaide was the only one who hadn't said anything, but she couldn't wait any longer less everyone get bored and walk off. Tail tip flicking back and forth, she straightened herself. She couldn't show uncertainty in front of them. "Some of you may be thinking, why train? We don't have to fight, Meurtrier can handle their own... But that means you've forgotten that La Morte are not the only ones against Meurtrier at the moment. There is the Guild, and possibly even Gespenster. And there can easily be others that rise to go against us." She hadn't heard any negative comments of course - but she too knew this. As a matter of fact, she had thought of all possibilities when the idea came up with the conversation with her father. And then she grew stern at the thought. "I hope those of you who are thinking of up and leaving re-think that. You wouldn't turn your back on my father, Raegan, if he were here telling us to get together and train." She spoke these words clearly - making sure to keep the words calm, merely questioning, non-threatening.
Then she glanced around again. "You may choose who you wish to pair up with." Her eyes glanced at Areta and Cheri, they were both some of the older Demonics of the pride, having been around for a long time. "If you two would please supervise? Give out tips and pointers?" Part of her still didn't trust Adelaide, but her eyes cast to her too... Aidan clenched her jaw, swallowed her daughterly pride, and then opened her maw, "You too, Adelaide? And Tear?" There. The four oldest creatures at this moment. She waited for their approval or disagreement.
Then Aidan stepped forward. "I, myself will be joining the training. We can easily pick a partner and pair up, or you can choose a group if you'd like." She flicked her tail again, offering a bit of a smile towards the others.
Cheri blinked in surprise, then dipped her head. "Will do, unless there's an uneven number and someone chooses not to group up." And she dipped her head in respect towards the little feline. Aidan was thinking smart, and it was truly a good thing in this kind of moment.
Nixen nodded towards Aidan and then flicked his tail first against Bec, then Parox. "Come on, mister grumps." He directed at his cousin, "You can take out those frustrations on us, right Bec?" He hoped Bacardi would agree to spar with them. [/font]

Adelaïde was not in her best state for sparring, given her recent rounds with Raegan. They would let others know soon, but for now, she was not showing. She was a bit hesitant. A hit to the wrong area could destroy her unborns. She offered a smile to Aidan and stretched as she stood. Her tail curled at the tip and she looked around. While not as tall as the others, she was very well muscled for a female and had considerable weight. Golden eyes scanned the others wondering if they would be willing fight against her. Soon she would need to prove herself to all as the dominant female. She would not evre be able to hesitate. She was awake and had just eaten. She was ready to go. She would nap in the afternoon. "Try to make sure their are different sizes and builds in your group. La Morte is as diverse as Meurtrier."

[/style][/td] [td][atrb=width,500,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign,top][bg=3D0002] » TOBERON & BACARDI Toberon eagerly greeted his family as he approached. He turned to listen to Aidan again, and then nodded stiffly. "I hope we don't have to fight and get hurt.. but it wouldn't hurt to learn right?" He looked around almost uncomfortably, unsure of who would want to fight him, but he was almost relived when Farrah suggested a spar between them. It saved him from being stuck with someone who might crush him, or someone he might accidentally hurt. He nodded eagerly, his eyes flickering to his mother and then back to his sister. "Sounds like fun. Yeah.. let's do it!" He crouched down and lashed his tail eagerly.
Fiery eyes shifted from her cousin to brother and back again. A curt nod was given as she agreed with Parox. A glare swept the crowd for any of their neighbor's ranks, but then returned to the throne. "You said it, cuz'. " She flexed her claws, taking a moment to select her opponents. Upon seeing the two demonic mothers and their little brood, she took a challenging step forward, her eyes locked onto their young. At Nixen's words, however, she tore away turned back towards them with a snort and raised her head. "Ey, why not? I been waitin' on a chance to beat you boys up." She teased, throwing a playful swat at her brother.
