Adalynn | Delirious Faire | Iarri Kannon
Lynn pulled back from Remus and nodded at Severus. He was right. It was always best to give their mentally troubled brother his space. As their half sister began yelling and claimed Adam dead, Lynn's ears immediately drop. Not only did she say he was dead, but that Remus had killed him. Tears began to cloud her vision. Her mind wondered to the moment when they had all been younger and she had been attacked by Remus. Granted back then he was too small to do any sort of damage but that didn't mean it wasn't terrifying. Remus then became a threat. Instinct forced out a hiss, fur prickling. Vision caught sight of Areta as she moved others away. Being pinned between the den and her parents with Remus so close had her in a panic. Adam is dead. He killed him. He killed his own brother. He killed my brother! Adalynn pushed between Raegan's legs and dashed from the den. Her destination being the white Demoness.
Shouts, screams... death. Delirious walked slowly toward the commotion in time to see the two females herding youth away from the scene. With a raised brow he paused to make sense of everything, but both dominants were there. It was for them. If it was for the Clan then they would call it to them. He did however catch Aidan's rant about fetching a healer. Del hadn't seen the Jaaku medic for awhile so he turned and made his way to the Meurtrian healers den.
Iarri returned from gathering some last minute things. As she rounded the corner she spotted someone looking into the den. "May I help you?" She asked around her mouthful of various herbs. "Jaaku has a cub with a burn. We were wondering if you could assist." Came the tan males reply. Ah, so he was of Jaaku. That explained her unfamiliarity with him. "Of course. Let me grab a few things." Once she had what she needed Delirious escorted her back to the dramatic scene. There they paused and he cleared his throat. "Perhaps she can help Remus." His head nodding toward the small red 'ess.

[/style][/td] [td][atrb=width,500,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign,top][bg=3D0002] » TOBERON & BACARDI Toberon watched and listened with huge eyes. When his mother stepped in the way, he jumped to his paws and craned his neck in an attempt to continue with his gawking. "M-mother!" he protested. "It could be clan business too." He looked to Farrah with a mutually confused look. He backed up a few steps, but ears were still craned to listen in. A cub from the royal litter.. dead? Killed by the other cub? Brutality! He shuddered at the thought of the child's body consumed by the lava. In his opinion, Aidan was breaking this news to the dominants rather harshly. Had she no consideration? He was sure that they would not take it well. Perhaps his mother was right. As curious as he was, this was something he could go without witnessing. He twisted around as he noticed the presence of his father, and then watched as he returned with a healer. Such troubling events in the Veldt..
Bacardi remained where she was. She wasn't about to miss a second of this dramatic occasion. Oh, her poor half nieces, nephews.. something like that. As Parox approached, she lowered her head and grinned crookedly. She reached out a paw to punch him as a greeting. "There he is.." she muttered quietly as her expression faded. She turned back towards the commotion and her ears stood rigid with interest as she listened in. They were sure fired up about this whole thing. For Bacardi, it was just survival of the fittest. Picking off the weak at that age was much easier than later. They would have to fight over who was the heir eventually anyways. Her eyes scanned the scene for Remus, the culprit himself, but she didn't spot him. Maybe he would shoulder his way into the next dominant position. He had less competition now anyway. "And I missed it?" she muttered darkly to herself as she picked up bits of the story. "Damn, kid. S'gotta hurt."

Adelaide groomed Remus a bit obsessively. She was trying to calm herself and she hoped it would help him as well. She gazed on his paw, desperately wanting to take him to the water. She had some healing skill, but she did not have much access to the herbs she was used to from her homeland. Her golden gaze focused on Aidan with an intensity that was more common for her to use when she was about to attack. She had never had to deal with so much pressure. To keep her composure under such dire circumstances, with a child who was more than unstable, a step daughter that detested her, and six other cubs to worry for, not to mention an entire clan.
Her lips relaxed and her jaw parted slightly.
Dead.
Tears started pouring from her eyes, though her expression was frozen and vague. She listened, but seemed not all there. She knew what happened the second she said Adam was dead. It was her worst fear come true. While she could not quite understand why Remus did things, she understood how he would react to situations, given his previous behavior. The tigress stared, but did not see. She could have burned, but she would not have felt it. Not when she was like this. Aidan had finished speaking and Adelaide let it sink in.
Suddenly Adelaide was in her stepdaughter's face, her face twisted with unbridled emotion. "Why?! Why didn't you save Adam? HE'S YOUR BROTHER! I WOULD RATHER BURN MYSELF THAN WATCH ANY CUB DIE!" She looked like she would attack Aidan at this point, but really, it was anger at her self. She was broken inside. She swayed and slumped to the ground, vision flickering a bit. So much to handle... She stood, slowly gaining her balance, walking over and picking up Remus, eyes watching as Adalynn ran to Areta. A new wave of tears started. But unfortunately, Remus needed her attention. She took him into the pond and would deposit him in the cool water so he could soak his burnt paw. She saw Iarri and felt the slightest bit of comfort. Though really what she needed was Raegan, her cubs, seclusion.
"Remus, we are going to have to touch your paw. It's going to hurt, sweetie, but you need to be good, okay?" Her voice was gentle and steady with her children, no matter the occasion. They were too young to understand. The tigress wondered if Remus would ever understand. She would explain to her children what they needed to know when Remus's paw was treated, they were alone and she could stop crying.
Alfwin was fully awake at this point and stood on the very edge, in the moonlit darkness. He wondered what might happen and stared at Adelaide. At this point, he desperately wished she were his mother. How fierce she was... He moved in behind Bacardi and Parox for a moment. "I don't think Raegan or Adelaide want watched, and Adelaide seems pretty unstable right now."
Rachel was watching from within the den, but she remained there, curled up, all alone, terrified from what she heard. She loved her entire family, but she was no longer sure she loved Remus now.

With Pani's permission, I'm posting before her. Aidan
Aidan had been watching Adelaide coldly, but her own jaw dropped in response to her response to her. Eyes widened, her chest constricted tightly. Aidan had tried. She had so desperately tried to get Remus off of Adam and save Adam. She had rushed the two of them, but it had been far too late when she got there... How dare she. How dare she. "HOW DARE YOU!" Aidan tossed her paw out, claws unsheathed, at Adelaide's tail as the mother walked away. "I tried, you fucking bitch!" She lashed out, hissing dangerously, her hackles raised greatly. "I would rather burn than watch any cub die, and I nearly did! Don't you dare fucking blame me!" She snarled out. Now she was itching for a fight. Itching to put this bratty tigeress in her place, waltzing into her life, and Areta's cubs life, and messing it all up. "And correction, they're HALF SIBLINGS! And I refuse to acknowledge them as siblings at all after tonight. You are NOTHING to me! So don't go pointing your paw at me when I was the one who tried anything at all while you were sleeping your ass off! Her rant continued, ending on that note as she glared at Adelaide's back, fully prepared for the tigeress to turn around and strike back at her as she had walked away. In lieu of Adelaide having thoroughly pissing her off, she'd forgotten her father's silent presence right there. [/blockquote]

ARETA, TEAR, PAROX, HAGAN, FARRAH, ISAER
[/i] Areta was disappointed with both of them, Aidan especially for her behavior. Adelaide just lost a cub and she needed time to mourn. No doubt much of what Adelaide said was fueled by a numbing pain. Tear returned to her children, or rather, to herding them. Farrah finally turned to leave for other lands, while Tear insisted Toberon go as well. Tea would also leave once they had gone. Parox punched Bacardi back, but did little to move his gaze off of the drama below. Push came to shove and soon Aidan and Adelaide were yelling at each other. He wouldn't miss it for the world. Which is why when Alfwin came up behind him and Bacardi, he did little to move or acknowledge the half-bred demonic. He merely said, "No one can move me from this spot. I have a right to be here." He snorted, eyes still on those nearby. Isaer got scared and ran to the back of the den.[/ul][/blockquote]

Severus couldn't help but sigh in disapproval. He rose a brow at Aidan, someone wasn't too fond. At least think of father, sheesh. he thought before rolling his eyes. And how dare she call his mother such a name? He just wanted to get Aidan a good slap with a hand but he knew it wasn't right. He looked up to Areta and nodded; she was a smart lady, and he respected her, and his half siblings. They were family, wether they liked it or not. And that's what mattered.

Aidan growled as she looked back at Areta. "Then continue getting them out of here and leave yourself. This is Nome of your business." She was hurt. Not by the disappointed look Areya gave - she didn't care for that. But she was hurt because she was being blamed. Because what she saw was finally kicking in after Adelaide had yelled at her, yet she knew Adelaide was getting far more consideration by Areta's look alone. She didn't know a mothers pain, she didn't know how Adelaide was feeling, but she knew what she was feeling. And that was just as bad as anything. Her body trembled slightly, her mind replaying the events over and over again as she awaited either females response now, but her mouth was ready to fire off more.

REMUS Trigger warning: Self-harm, Intensity. Someone please give Adelaide some major TLC.His mothers grooming did wonders to the youngster. In short time it saw his state of shock ease up, which lead to Remus becoming more aware about the world around him.
Unfortunately, it was ill-timed. With Aidan shouting, followed by his mothers. The cub suddenly became aware of just how upset his mother was, and this female - his sister apparently - wasn't helping. Remus began to tremble, looking to Aidan with wide eyes. If he made his brother be gone forever, maybe he could make her be gone forever too... The Demonic Liger wanted that. He was about to shout out, but his mother came over and grasped the scruff of his neck, which by reflex had Remus go limp for travelling.
Still, he heard and saw everything Aidan had said and done, especially notable that this female lashed out at his beloved mother. How dare she...
Adelaide's words fell on deaf ears, and the shock of cold water did little to deter Remus from his next outbreak. His head was buzzing, tears streaming down his face as he struggled out of the water towards Aidan (he's a good swimmer, but this was clumsily executed), but he did not go too close on account of how much pain every step brought. "Shut UP. SHUT. UP!" He screamed. He cried, his expression was that of grief and hurt, but he started to giggle as he trembled completely out of control. "PUT YOURSELF IN THE FIRE! GO AWAY!" He yelled, followed by another wail: "YOU'RE STUPID AND I HATE YOU. I WILL KILLED YOU."
He then whined, looking down at the floor which he slumped down onto. He started muttering between sobs and giggles. "I was savinghim I-I could t-take his head and he'dbehere. Brother wasn't supposedtoburn-..." The trembling now came in waves, the youngster looked to his burnt paw. "AaAAH!" He screamed again, then practically threw his head down to clamp his young jaws around the injury, burying his teeth into his own paw, effectively making it worse, especially when he tore his grasp away with a highly distressed and almost unnatural sounding squeal. He had just damaged himself horribly. CADEN The albino demonic mix had heard all the commotion but only recently arrived from the further side of the Veldt. Caden still had barely made any friends but he could identify some individuals now. Here in this group were the dominant pair, their cubs, and a bunch of other faces. He could recognize Parox and Bacardi, but none of the other adults just yet. He hid in the upper bushes to watch, however poorly camouflaged he was. A white coat against dark greens was not easily hidden... He watched as Adelaide lowered her son into the water, and was about to emerge to get closer, maybe he could help somehow. But then... What could he do? Aidan was being particularly loud and mouthy and clearly there was a lot of distress in the air... Then Remus had his out-break, and Caden decided he didn't want to get into this. He remained in the bushes, watching.

Iarri Kannon
Aidan's outburst had the healer taking a step back. A cub had died? Iarri looked around the scene then and at the cub with the burnt paw. What in the hell had happened? But she didn't ask. The Jaaku did not bring her here to meddle in this affair, he had brought her here to tend to the burned youth. As the tigress took the boy to the water, Iarri was hesitant to follow. This was a stressed out angry mother with an injured cub. Even a fool would have known the dangers of approaching that scenario. But Adelaide had in the end waved the red 'ess over, and she made her approach. Yet Iarri only got a little over halfway there when the cub dashed from his mother. Iarri stepped to the side to let him pass. Determination was all over his face. The words he shouted put the missing pieces together. Iarri's eyes misted a bit from the sere horror of what had happened. She didn't even want to imagine it. Such an awful way to end such a young life.. A loud gasp came from her then as Remus sank fang into his own wound. The herbs she had in her mouth she dropped. "Nononono! Please! Young one that's not good!" She moved toward him just as he ripped the paw from his own mouth. She looked at the cub dumbfoundedly for a moment but shook her self off in the end. "May I request that you bring him to the Meurtrier Healer's Den? What I brought is only for burns and pain... He's going to need a few other things now." Her words were directed toward the tigress, but her blue's remained on Remus. This was surely one troubled cub. Her heart went out to his mother and to him... and to the poor soul that Remus had unintentionally killed. Atleast, Iarri liked to think of it as unintentional.

(I'd like to point out, Aidan isn't actually being as loud as people think she is except for certain parts. Other capitalized words are merely for emphasis ^^ She's growling and being a /little/ loud, but she's not roaring/yelling. And I promise I won't post again till everyone else does once more)

Trigger Warning: Self Harm.
Raegan Alkaev & Romulus Alkaev [/size] Raegan just stood there, the wave of so many strong emotions held him captive. His jaws parted slightly and his breathing began to pick up and become heavy. His stance was in such a way that if gravity suddenly disappeared he would remain grounded. Emerald eyes became wide and flickered around in their sockets. Raegan raised a paw to the right side of his face and gripped his flesh with his extended claws. His jaws were now clenched, teeth bared. Too much, too much. Yelling, stop yelling. My family, family. Why. Raegan's claws scraped slowly down from the top of his brow as his thoughts went crazy. He could feel himself slipping, he wouldn't allow it. The pain he received from his own doing was an attempt to distract and snap himself out of it. It was beginning to work, he reached the bottom of his jaw and blood trickled down his face and paw from the gashes he had created. Raegan was still gone, but not as far gone as he could be and that was a good thing. "I see.." He said as he breathed out, quiet. He whipped around and blood flew from his wounds. His eyes were wide with so many emotions behind them, Raegan finally took in just how much of a group they had gathered. "Any one not directly involved, LEAVE." He didn't roar, but his voice was loud and stern and followed with a thin snarl. This was no clan affair, only his and his family's. He and Adelaide would deal with Remus, he was sure any and all who had heard what happened would be concerned about Remus and possibly his being in the clan from this point on. He then turned his back to the crowd and walked over to the watering hole. Both Adelaide's and Aidan's intensity kept him on edge, but he proceeded to take a step forward to put himself nearly in between them. "Right now Remus needs to calm down and be treated. He may go to the Meurtrierian den, thank you, Iarri." Raegan kept his gaze forward as he spoke, but flicked his tail to dismiss Iarri, Adelaide and Remus. As he waited for them to pick up and go with Iarri the dominant just stood there for a moment in silence. Romulus' fur prickled as he watched his father be so cruel to himself, what did that kind of pain feel like? He shook his head and thought about the matter at hand, it was ridiculous. Survival of the fittest right? At least that was partially how Rom justified it to himself. He remained where he was and watched the actions of those around him as his father demanded they leave the scene. Until he could think of something to do or contribute, Romulus sat and observed. He watched as his father, Raegan tortured himself. His eyes widened. Father.. please.. he thought desperately before turning to his mother. Don't you dare break.. Severus sat down beside Rom and looked to his brother. "You did a good job, you know. On how you handled things." he said, dipping his head before observing the scene. He nodded to Romulus before padding over to Adalynn and nuzzled his sister. "It's okay, dear sister. Please don't break." he said, offering.. a soft smile. It seemed that Severus had a soft side to him. He nodded to Areta. "Thank you for taking care of my sister." he said before looking to Remus. Poor brother..
He lowered his gaze.. Adam.. slaughtered. Just like that. He looked over to Rachel and padded over to her. "Rachel. Are you alright?" he said, dipping his head before laying down by her, curling up beside her, hopeful that she wouldn't lash out. He raised his head to Rom, he was alright. He now turned to Adalynn, he chuffed to call her. "Lynn?" he said, his eyes full of concern. His true colors were showing but it was unlikely for him to show these feelings unless something as big as this happened again. Deep down, Severus loved his family despite his distance from the family and the rest of Meurtrier and Jaaku.

Iarri Kannon | Adalynn | Delirious Faire - Xeiroz
Iarri winced to witness the mutilation Raegan put onto himself. Her eyes lowered, not wanting to start gawking. "You're more than welcome." She managed to squeak out to him. Her gaze lifted to Adelaide then. "I'm going to go ahead and return to the healer's den. Get things prepared. Bring him when you're ready." Iarri turned back to retrieve the herbs she had dropped. Before she picked them up she looked to Raegan. "Sir, I advice you accompany your mate and cub. I can fix your... cut.. before it has a chance to get infected." With one last kind smile she turned and left. "Nerante?! Are you here?" She called out as she entered the den, immediately cleaning out one of the rooms, running around hastily to find and gather the things she needed.
Adalynn stared at Severus with frightened look. When he walked away and proceeded to call her over she simply buried her face in Areta's white fur. Lynn wasn't ready to go back. No, not yet. Luckily she missed the part where her daddy hurt himself. The little liger would have freaked out even further to the sight of that.
Raegan didn't have to tell Delirious twice. He was in the middle of leaving when the Dominant shoed everyone off. The assassin trailed after Tear and the cubs.

NERANTE, ARETA, TEAR, PAROX
[/i] She spoke softly, yet loud enough so that Adelaide or Raegan could be aware that Adalynn would be with her. No need to freak the parents out anymore than they were. Parox didn't budge, being a stubborn twat. Nerante was inside of the den. His ear twitched at the sound of Iarri's voice and turned to her almost immediately. He'd been lost in thought, and had Iarri walked in a moment sooner, may have heard him talking to himself. Insanity did these things to felines. Nerante tilted his head. "Am I ever anywhere else? What is it?" He asked, still a bit out of it, so he had yet to smell the burnt flesh and had not heard the cries or yelling.[/ul][/blockquote]

Adelaide was falling apart at the seams. It was more than a lot for one sane mind to take. She did not feel when Aidan's outstretched claws caught her tail. Rather, she was tuning everyone out except for her dear children. She watched as Adalynn left with Areta, looking sad, but happy that she would be safe. She would not forget Aidan's outlash, the words said, the small blow received, but she as beyond processing that now. Slowly, she went in to grab Remus, pulling him away from Aidan, use a huge paw to pull him in. Tears continued to stream down her face, but her expression was serene. She examined his paw that he had bitten and shook her head. "Shhh," she murmured. "Don't worry, love. Mother will take care of everything. But don't hurt yourself. It makes Momma sad when you do that." She put her jaws onto his scruff and gently lifted him away. There was no doubt that she was broken right now, beyond rational thought. Given time, she would heal, but for now... Not so much.
A sideways glance was given to her mate as she strode past him, flicking his tail, disapproving of his behavior. It was far from what her normal reaction would have been. The tigress was a gentle soul, but she was still stern. Her tail wrapped onto his chest and tugged him slightly to follow. She walked over to the healer's den of Meurtrier looked at Nerante. Some rational thought was occurring again as she looked at the healer, remembering what he had been accused of. Her ears went flat and her pupils dilated, showing a certain degree of fear, something that could quickly turn into aggression. She did not trust him, and right now, the tales Stella had spoken of seemed real. A vision of a blood soaked, cackling Nerante super imposed itself on what was at hand.
Everything returned to normal and she squeezed her eyes shut. She opened them and looked much more calm, though her whisker flared out and her ears were still a bit back. She gently deposited Remus on the ground and looked at the healer. "My son's burnt paw has been cut. Can you help him?" She was not terribly truthful right now. Her child did not need so many knowing about his condition. She did not want such looks and fear for her son, even if it was justified. Her cheeks were still wet, but the crying had at least slowed now.
Alfwin watched the ongoings with some interest, flattening his ears at the females yell at one another. He felt bad for Adelaide. She seemed to have the cards stacked against her in this clan. He did not seem irked by Raegan's behavior, but considering the issues Alfwin had, it was unsurprising. "Seems like your right was revoked, Parox," he stated coolly, rearing up and trying to slam his paws down on the other's tail.
Rachel shivered in the den, relieved when Isaer cam back into the den, dashing up to him and nuzzling him, starting to cry. She wanted her family.
