[/i] She cleared her throat loudly. "Thanks, 'dear', and that's what I want to talk to you about Kazbek... alone." She flashed Dhalia a look before her gaze traveled back to Kaz's. "I'm pregnant. It's what she's congratulating me on. But I'd like to talk to you, again, privately before anything else." Carnal said. She tried to make her tone.. flat. Despite this, however, she was fuming and shaking on the inside.[/ul][/blockquote]

DHALIA

Dhalia's mouth formed an 'o' as her brows slowly rose, as if genuinely interested and surprised by the news. The look Carnal gave her was nothing short of hilarious, she had no reason to lash out at her, Dhalia had been the perfect lady to her. "Well now, I suppose I should congratulate you both then?" She tilted her head, which was still beneath Kazbek's own, but that was just details.

"While this is certainly great news, I did get here first~" she stuck her tongue out playfully, the words could have had multiple meanings. "And I myself wanted to catch up with Kazbek, it's been awhile indeed"

Kazbek

The sudden news made Kazbek feel a bit numb all of the sudden, feeling hot as he started to really think. Had they mated? No no, he would remember, he would be excited if he even thought he would have the possibility of being a father, or a mate for that matter. Did she say they were his? What? No they can't be. He looked back to Carnal, looking quite lost for a moment. "I... Yeah, we should talk." He mumbled, turning back to Dhalia. "I've got to go... I'll talk to you later." He said somewhat lowly in tone, not in any sort of set emotion, as he was really unsure of how to take the issue along with Dhalia's 'playfulness'.

The bulky male turned and began to walk off, motioning that Carnal follow. He hoped Dhalia wouldn't be offended, but this really did seem important- now that the pregnancy bomb was dropped on him. But if they weren't his, why did she want to talk?... For once, Kazbek actually thought, deeply.

Kazbek

A quick glance over his shoulder fortified that Dhalia had stayed behind, and the tension could be over for now... Well, at least between her and Carnal. An odd feeling was in Kazbek's stomach, one that was very questionable. But despite the fact they weren't being followed, he at least went a few more paces, to assure that they were in fact alone. Stopping, he turned to Carnal, face both curious and worried. "I think we shook her for the moment... What did you want to talk about?" He mewed in a quieter voice, very different from his usual deep and loud tone.

[/i] She frowned. Carnal was upset, with herself and with the males who would most likely father her first litter. Maybe.. maybe she could kill them, say they were still born? First time mother issues.. maybe.

"It's.. it's hard to explain, Kaz, but I we.. it's.. it's likely that some may be your fathers." She said at last. How awkward. Carnal, with an interest in Kazbek, may mother his half siblings. Talk about some legit family drama. Carnal couldn't bring herself to look at him.[/ul][/blockquote]

Kazbek

His ears folded down as he listened, really trying to find a way to word his response. Kazbek was going through it in his mind; he liked Carnal... Was maybe even hoping, in his wildest dreams, that they could be more then good friends made in the healers den. But he had never thought, nor pushed to know if Carnal felt the same. He had hoped... But the fact she was apologizing to him now told him more than anything ever did. "You don't have to say sorry." He mewed, trying to prop up a half smile, "I'm not gonna condemn you for something that was hard to control at the time, I understand, but..."

The smile faded slightly, and he gulped. Kaz was a brave guy, yet confessing to Carnal was taking quite a bit more then he had ever faced in battle. "I... may be a bit disappointed... Because I... kind of have feelings for you." He muttered softly, feeling a bit hot under his pelt. Despite wondering what she would say to that, he moved on. "But, I'm not angry... Cubs are wonderful things, and they'll be my brothers and sisters... How can I be mad?"

Carnal turned into him, nuzzling Kazbek. Though she couldn't find it in herself to purr. "I.. have feelings for you too. And it makes me feel all the worse for this. My first litter should've been with.." Her voice trailed. She doubted that she needed to finished that sentence. It hung in the air. You. Carnal sat down with a heavy sigh. "Vitali and Kodiac.. they're the fathers, most likely. This is so fucked.. I have feelings for you, but I may carry your half siblings.. oh man.. oh man." She mumbled, sounding a tad miserable and frustrated.

All of this stress was incredibly unhealthy.. there was a chance it would effect her and the unborn.[/ul][/blockquote]

He let out a sigh as her muzzle touched him, and he gently brought a paw up to wrap around her, pulling her ever so closer. "Carnal... I don't know much about... Pregnancy, but I don't think you need to be worrying this much." He mumbled, laying his large muzzle onto her head. "What happens, happens, and if you need me; I'll be there. Mine or not, I still care." He mewed, still inwardly shook by all of this. But after that was happiness, so much when Carnal said she had feelings for him too. He wanted to be with her, pregnant or not pregnant, he had surely found someone he loved, hadn't he? And besides, he loved cubs... He could adapt to anything, of course he could... If only he could get Carnal to calm down.

Nuzzling her head, he let it be quiet for many moments to let things cool a bit, hoping that Carnal would at least calm herself. Inwardly, he was fighting with the thought of one last thing he wanted to ask... He wasn't really sure if it was the right time to ask, but they had already gotten so close, and confessed their feelings, would it be much sense not to ask? There was a possibility of her saying no, and he would accept that fully, be he was and always wanted to be an optimist. Sighing, he opened his maw nervously. "Even with the cubs, would you still... Want to be mates, with me? I could care for them, I don't mind one bit..."

Kazbek

He smiled and nuzzled back, a soft rumbling coming from his throat. He had her acceptance, and that felt great. "Of course I'll be there. I won't let you get overrun with cubs." He mused gently, suddenly wanting to tell his family about their new addition-

And then it hit him, what would his father think? These cubs were his, not Kazbek's. Wonder bit at him, but he quickly let it fly over his head. That was a discussion for later, for now; he was content simply being happy with his new mate.
