Much as he tried, the King could not decipher what his son truly felt either. He kept it on the pessimistic side; after all, that would have been much too easy to influence him. When Osic spoke, the king thought for but a moment as Cocaine jumped in, before quickly adding in as he stared at the young one.
"No." His voice was low; calm. "No, it will not die. But others may have a harder time gaining such mercy." His teeth shone for a moment before glancing toward Osic again. "We will talk about this more," He turned to Cocaine. "come the morning. See to it that Osic gets a cozy little cave for him. I'm sure we have spare individuals who can guard it- I want four in the very least. Do you think you can take care of that?" He left the conversation open for disagreement or agreement - whatever Cocaine had to say on the idea. "If no one is able, I'll take up the position myself."

Jericho The male simply tilted his head to one side, eyeing the male for a moment before dipping his head briefly. "Jericho." One quick small statement of his name, and then another nod as Morphine left. He could tell the male was troubled, and part of him wanted to ask what was wrong, but he refrained from doing so. He was not close to this male. He had no business asking to be a part of anything from it. So instead, he merely turned his gaze away from the walking creature - Morphine, he now knew - and gazed around at his newest companions. His jaw clenched briefly. He wondered how he would go about this. He knew no one, no one knew him. His eyes fell on Carnal. Well. She knew him. But he didn't know if it was best to approach her right now, especially as she was placed in the medic's den along with that red male - Jericho had to force down a growl and instead he flicked his tail tip in irritation. To anyone else, it would seem as if he was merely bored. Inside, he was imagining piercing his fangs in that males throat. He killed Krankheit. And Jericho felt nothing but guilt for not having been able to save him as slipped away from the battle. But the male would have surely given him away. Jericho sighed, tail tip flicking faster in impatience. He needed to do something.

Iarri Kannon | Osic Donovan
The little red 'ess seemed to flutter from one spot to the next. She did her best to do, well, everything she could in what little time she could. For the most part she did a fairly decent job. Iarri paused as she listened intently to her instructor. "Um.." She began tilting her head this way and that, brows furrowed as she began to think. "Chervi- Nono! Wait.. It's.. Uh.." It sat on the tip of her tongue but refused to budge. She gave a small stomp of her paw in frustration before her head shot up. "Marigold?" Her voice was a bit hesitant, afraid her answer was wrong.
Gaze went back to linger on the cub. She was so small. So helpless. He didn't want to believe that Najisi would or even attempt to replace him and Carnal. He had seen her on the battlefield. She did love her two oldest. She had to of. But this cub and Funeral's sly words were making him want to re-guess himself. Audits rose as Funeral spoke with Cocaine. So what they were going to do with him was still undecided. The thought he was going to be guarded all night sent shame rushing through him. It made him feel like less of a pride member and more like a prisoner. Ears lowered back down then. Thoughts moved to Circa and his sister. He half hoped that one or both of them were his guards for the night. He wanted, needed, to talk to them. Though he was more wary about Carnal. She seemed to despise him now. She had practically disowned him. But Circa... To him it was still unclear how she felt. But he knew how he felt, and he desperately wanted to tell her. What did he have to lose now, if she hated him.

Circa Da'ei
"Lord Funeral-"
The voice addressed from around the corner, before the slender red lioness sauntered into view. Her ears folded back subtle submission, knowing that walking into a private meeting between the father, son, and commander was not the greatest of ideas, but she felt the need to report. Not to mention, she was the Captain- it was her duty. "I'm sorry to bother you sir, but- I believe all the more-than-minorly-injured have been seen by Viciado, and no injuries are too awful drastic from what I've observed... Our warriors are still strong." She started, pausing as her eyes caught the small cub in her peripherals; grey, no doubt Najisi's. The thought of it being Ceon's made her shudder internally.
Are they going to kill it? She wondered, flicking an ear in thought as her baby blues temporarily settled on the little frightened thing. No, they would have done it already... Osic was also there in her views, and though it was very hard not to, she was a bit afraid to meet his pupils. She didn't yet know the ruling of what would happen to him, and was afraid to know. "Is there anything else you'd like me to do?"

Carnal tried to keep herself up to date on names and faces. Sometimes she asked Cocaine for help, and he was more than happy to help her. "How're you taking it? I mean, the kill. It's your first, right?"Cocaine nodded to Funeral and listened as the king spoke. His gaze flickered to Osic from time to time as if to make sure he was still there. Once Funeral finished, the commander nodded and immediately began to think of different felines to help guard Osic. Then as if on cue, Circa appeared with a report on the injured. He gave the captain a nod. "Thank you Circa," Though paused as he realized he may have answered for Funeral, and dipped his head slightly in apologies to the king. "Actually, yes. We'll need guards for Osic here in the morning, for his own personal den. I want you to be on of the guards. I'll find three more before morning." He turned to look at the cub. Funeral would decide what to do with it. His gaze turned up to the king. "I'd also like to discuss a few things with you private -- you too, Circa." He gave them both a nod. "For now, I think we could send Osic to Viciado's den. She built some sort of tunnel beneath her healers den last I checked. He could be placed there until we have all of the guards ready."Viciado nodded to Iarri. "Yes. Marigold. It helps stop infections. It can also stop bleeding and issues with stiff joints. Don't forget oak leaf as well. That stops infection from setting in. And sweet-sedge eases infection and wild garlic prevents infection. Though it's also, as you've seen me use, a good cover for a bile mix. To mask that nasty smell. Now then," She turned to look at the herbs they had. "Take the last of this horsetail and go down to use it on the wound on Kazbek's belly. You remember how to apply it, right?" Viciado asked, just to make sure. [/ul][/blockquote]

The King's eyes had themselves intently watching his son; he stifled a wry smile before Circa rounded the corner. Had she been listening in this whole time?
He figured it didn't matter too much, she was the Captain. It still seemed to weigh a bit on his mind - but not for long. He was about to respond when Cocaine's words mimicked his own that he was to say. He caught the apology, but simply dipped his own head. You're fine.
The Quetzalcoatl listened, glancing between the two as well as Osic, before nodding in Cocaine's direction once more. "That will do for the time being. Circa...," He glanced between them for but a moment, a bit of hesitation. "...please escort Osic to Viciado's den."
A nod was given in Cocaine's direction, rising with some amount of effort before awaiting for them to file out.

Circa Da'ei
The order came as a surprise, and a slight look was given to Osic. So I guess that means you're staying? Relief was prominent, but the forest wasn't escaped from yet. What he said in the battle... She felt as if she needed an explanation. Dipping her head in respect towards the commander and dominant, she turned towards the direction of Viciado's den, barely giving a glance to the male as she passed him, and ticked her tail in command. "Come" Paws automatically began forward, expecting him to follow close behind. She had a good feeling that he was far from defecting at this point, but would he want to? Did he want to? So many questioned buzzed in her head as they walked, and even slipped into her maw as if she were going to speak. What could she even say? Perhaps he would say something, and spare her the breath, but as they trudged away from the throne, and out of earshot of the dominants, she muttered. "So I suppose you're staying?"

Osic Donovan | Iarri Kannon
Perhaps his great-grandfather had been listening in on his wish. He would gladly follow Circa, but he hid that willingness behind a mask of submission. He offered Funeral a nod and Cocaine a final glance before picking up his pace until he was behind the Captain; semi beside her. They walked in silence for what seemed like an eternity. But he didn't mind. He cared not about what tension lingered between them, he was just glad to be alone with her.
"So I suppose you're staying?"
Ears pricked as she finally spoke. It was hard to tell what she was feeling through those words. Osic craned his head some, trying to see her face, but pulled back before slowly looking skyward. "Not by my own accord." His head tilted was he spotted a lonely star. Where had the day gone? "I guess Funeral is too exhausted to deal with me right now. Officially anyway." He paused again, his wings twitching to spread, but knew someone might get the wrong idea and possibly pounce. There was still so much more he wanted to say but nothing seemed to settle. So he remained silent, his head still angled up but his purple's lowered to watch the red 'ess.
Iarri gave the healer a curt nod, "Yes, Ma'am.", before taking the herb and setting off to find her brother. It had been awhile since the siblings had exchanged many words. The little red apprentice was still quite sour towards Caylis. Her blue's found Kaz and Carnal in little time. She gave the other female a smile before looking to her brother. "I'm going to need to see that wound of yours." She said matter-of-factly, a bit of horsetail already in her mouth and being chewed.

Circa Da'ei & Kazbek
"It's honestly... A good feeling, to make a success for my pride. Of course I know others won't feel the same." He trailed, observing the other 'ess as he said that. How did she feel? A sigh escaped him as he thought about the conflicting views the ones around him had. Most were proud, but others... He saw it on their faces, they were more concerned. He prepared to speak his feelings, yet stopped as his sister entered the room, carrying herbs. A purr lifted from his throat, and he smiled soft encouragement to his once shyer sibling. "Can do. I see you're fitting in perfectly as a healer!"
Baby blues looked back at him, and finally her head craned slightly to look at him directly. Her pace slowed to a eased walk, they might as well take some time at least... Who knows when they were going to be able to talk alone again? As he spoke, she tried her best to formulate a response, but it took her quite a moment. "It's been a long day. Maybe tomorrow everyone will simmer down." She started, gaze looking a bit softer as opposed to her commanding Captain face that she had worn through most of the battle. Her head turned around to look forward once again though, ears folding slightly as she muttered a small apology, "I'm sorry I snapped at you... Perhaps that was unnecessary of me."

Iarri Kannon | Osic Donovan
"It has it's moments." She offered up with a small smile. When her gaze fell to the male's wound she tried not to panic, perhaps from the sheer fact that it was her brother who was so badly wounded. "This might sting a little. And once I apply this don't go messing with it." Iarri gave him a pointed look, imagining him to be the one to pick at things he shouldn't. Placing a paw on his shoulder to both gently push him down and steady herself so as not to hurt him, she gave the herb a few finishing chews before applying it as gently but a firmly as she could. Once finished Iarri gathered a bit more horsetail in her mouth and began working more onto the wound, until it was completely covered.
Osic nodded to the statement. "Yeah, maybe." Hopefully. He caught a small glimpse of the Circa he knew. He had always worried that her new position would harden her, change her. A smile tugged at one corner of his mouth, but faded as she spoke again. "Don't be. You felt betrayed. I get it. I think I would have been more concerned if you had not reacted at all." Her outbursts and aggression had meant she cared, so of course there were no hard feelings on his part. "If anyone should be apologizing it's me." Osic paused and stared at the ground beneath him in silence before starting up again. "I don't want to ever make you feel like that again.." He whispered.

Circa & Kazbek
A purr of amusement rumbled in his throat as she applied the medicine, and commanded him not to pick at it. "I just might now that you told me not to." He teased, poking fun at her as she drew away to recover more herbs, but he quickly corrected before she turned to scold him again. "I won't touch it, I promise... Hurts too much anyway." Rarely did he cringe from the stinging, but the slight change on his face told that it was having some effect on him, as his claws dug into the ground slightly at it's application.
A slight, soft smile surfaced, though mostly a hidden one. "I appreciate that." She muttered, brushing his pelt very briefly. Apology accepted. Yet there were still things left to question. Apparently now was not the appropriate time to do so, as they soon arrived in front of Viciado's den. Most of the members by now had been treated and dispersed to rest, Circa looked to Osic one more time, this time, fully facing him rather than looking from the side. A different view came to mind as she looked at him, he was... Different, somehow.
Gulping down the feeling, she sighed under her breath; there was no way she could outright ask him about what he said, he had to do that on his own. "Wait here, no flying off ok?." She stated, ending the sentence in a subtly playful manor, desperately trying to ease some of the previous tension. Her seriousness regained as she stepped inside the medic's den, looking around and softly calling out. "Viciado? I'm sorry to bother you, but I have orders from the Dominant."

Osic Donovan | Iarri Kannon
A heavy purr settled at the base of the dark male's throat. Yet, it did not stick around long. As the two approached the den, Osic began to recoil a bit. He was a creature of the sky, not of earth. Just looking into the dark hole was beginning to cause some claustrophobia to take hold. His attention's were drawn away from the awful feeling as the red 'ess faced him. He'd be lying if he said her presence didn't ease the anxiety. Osic grinned some and nodded, only to start shuffling his paws and flicking his tail in agitation once she turned toward the den.
The apprentice gave her brother a small playful shove, her own light purr mixing with his. Once she had finished with his wound she pulled back to examine her work. Viciado would surely have to take a look to make sure Kazbek didn't need anymore. Her head snapped up when a call echoed through the entrance. "Excuse me for a moment." Iarri gave a dip of her head and exited the small space to jog as silently as she could to the entrance. "Captain, I would kindly ask that in the future you keep your voice low. I mean no disrespect but those that have obtained the worst wounds are still in the dens; most of which sleeping." She offered Circa a smile before beckoning her in if she wished. "Viciado is in the back. She might not of heard you. If you'd wait here I'll go fetch her for you." With that she made her way further under ground, peaking into den after den until she came across the healer. Iarri cleared her throat before speaking. "Ma'am, the captain is here. I had her wait up front for you."

Circa
A soft smile was offered to the younger 'ess, and she nodded respectfully, ears folding down in apology. "I'm terribly sorry, I tried to be as soft as I could, but the matter is of minor urgency." She mewed, casting a brief glance towards the entrance of the den, satisfied that Osic's shadow was still in place. She didn't want to rush the apprentice, but she knew that the lord and commander would get soon impatient if she took too long to escort him to his den. As Ilarri invited her further in, she sat and weaved her tail around her paws as the red adolescent padded to fetch her mentor. "I would greatly appreciate that." She muttered, waiting patiently.

Cocaine said. Viciado was proud of Iarri. The young girl was learning quickly how to heal. Nerante knew plenty as well, but to teach someone not of blood, someone who had no magic to aid them, was a good feeling. She thought on this as the herbs were organized as she counted up what they had and realized all of what they needed. A healers job was never truly done. Once finished with the herbs, she headed back to check on Iarri's work. Carnal had moved out and away, back to her own den, when Iarri made her way down to handle Kazbek. She leaned to her side and rested. Once everyone had gone, then she'd go back to talking with Kazbek. They had new-found battle stories to share! Maybe they could pretend they're older, telling these tales to young. That'd be fun, and funny. Viciado only needed to look over Kazbek quickly to know Iarri had done a good job. She turned to leave and found Iarri there. "Hm, alright." Viciado said and then made her way up front. Indeed, the captain and Osic were there. "Captain Circa, what's the matter? I do hope it's important." Viciado said. She had no time to spare on the crazy antics of superiors. [/ul][/blockquote]

"Yes." He answered almost immediately. Dark emeralds stared at the child, contemplative but otherwise no emotion shot through. "I've plans for you, little one." He murmured just barely above a whisper before glancing back to Cocaine. "Through future wins and losses, we will be ready all the same." He nodded curtly.
"I will speak to you tomorrow about Osic's fate. I've some ideas for him just as well." He rolled his shoulders, muscles tensing at the wound upon his back that stung. "Shall we look for those able to guard, then?" He offered, rising and very much wanting to walk off the pain.
