Funeral watched as Cocaine spoke, agreeing with his Commander wholeheartedly. He didn't doubt his loyalty nor what he spoke - that was why he was at such a high position, after all. One if not his only fully trusted companion and comrade. His ears twitched at the outcome of the battle - who had fought loyally.
Most, indeed.
He watched the warriors, spies - members and children of Meurtrier unite and begin to celebrate, so it seemed. As some.. perhaps grieved, was that?
He took the lead, stepping forward again as he let his gaze stretch across the gathered members once more. "Keep on your toes, and remember to come to us should there be any strange behavior in, near, or out of Meurtrier that you see, hear, or even feel." He gave a low dip of his head, straining his back injury, before stepping back and turning to Cocaine.
"Let's get Osic. I've some words to share with him." And with that, would begin his climb down to where his son was through the crowd, giving him a simple curt tilt of his head for him to follow. He didn't mind the members around him, in fact he went to respect them and their space, trying to make it quick.
He said nothing, and instead would begin to lead him along the path that lead around the mountains behind the Throne.

Rose Donovan | Caylis | Evangeline Caliver
Rose smirked back at her uncle and shrugged. "I was there anyway, uncle. It's all over, and I'm glad you're fine," she called back to him before turning her blues to look at Jasper Crimson and Asesino, a flicker of uneasiness was in her blues before turning back to Kodiac with a chuckle, waiting for his response.
Caylis couldn't help but purr at her son's amusing words, her tail touching Kazbek's shoulder with a smile, she nodded to him. "I'll leave you to it, if you wish, son. If you want to go see your father, you may do so. Or you can hunt with me. It's all your choice, young Kazbek." she smiled to him before heading to the mountains to hunt. If anyone would hunt with her, they would be most welcomed.
The child squeaked and tumbled out of the den where everyone was.. she held a little smirk at the edge of her lips, she was rather large for a newborn, she couldn't see just yet but she was trying to focus on her gaze. With that, the child tried to get to her paws, she grinned as she was successing. All fours were now properly placed, though she was a bit wobbly, but who could blame her? She was a cub, learning while she could. With that, she walked over -somewhat- to Iarri and Corona.. she squeaked, her turquoises looking with concern and with that, she collapsed on her rump. Ah well, at least it was worth a try! She would practice more.. oh wait, where was everyone? She attempted to poke at Iarri with a grin before wobbling towards Corona and collapsed at her paws, she squeaked as if to say, 'Sorry!' with an innocent look.
{If i'm doing anything unrealistic with Evangeline, just lemme know! I'm horrible at playing newborn cubs xD}

EVERYONE
Cocaine tossed in at last as he glanced at Funeral. They were headed to take care of Osic. Cocaine didn't watch the others that arrived. The Commander headed with Funeral to Osic, and then together they headed with Funeral's son down the path behind the throne. No doubt it may have drawn attention, but that was good. Let them speak. Let Osic feel their confusion, shame. Once they were up and around the throne with Osic, he stood to the side and waited for Funeral to speak. Viciado had called Iarri over and as soon as Cocaine, Funeral, and Osic -- much to her surprise -- were out of sight she raised her head. "There's freshly caught hares here, as caught by Caine and I. If anyone needs healing, please see Nerante, Iarri, or myself. In order of most urgent to least. I expect you are all capable of organizing that." She let the hares flop into the pile with her mates and turned to call to Nerante so they could head toward their den. It had recently been expanded into the ground; so it was rather large beneath the surface and fit plenty of hurt and injured. Static and the prisoner cub had been moved to a den far back. Nerante was in the den with Ry when he realized one of the cubs were missing. He scrunched up his nose and then followed the scent over to Iarri and Corona. "Iarri, Viciado'll want us both in the den." He said then leaned down to pick up Evangeline and carried her back to Ryssor. Once the cub was safely nestled by her mother, he turned and headed out. There was a lot to do, and if he ditched on his duties, Viciado would be crapping horns. He glanced toward where Iarri was last, curious if she'd already gone into the healers den. Balthier II moved away to let his family do what they did best. Healing and the sort. He looked back over to Sepheral and Shinku, and then to the pile of hares. "I suppose only those who fought can eat first, hm?" He asked them both. Balthier II wanted to strike up conversation. "What do you think the Osic thing's about?"Kodiac remained quiet but offered his son a smile as Caylis also praised him for his first kill in his first battle. Once the mother finished with her praise, Kodiac stepped forward as if to say enough and leaned down to lick the top of Kazbek's head. "Maybe more battles lay ahead, no doubt. But how about you go get a hare and check in with the healers?" He nodded toward the den that Viciado and Nerante had headed for. He glanced at Caylis, whom had begun to go and hunt. "HEY!" He snapped, eyes narrow. "You're no special snowflake. Go check in with the healers as well." Kodiac cared that the pride could fight; Caylis was involved in the battle and needed to be checked on. Casper scooted closer to his biological brother, Caspian, and stood there with him as their other father made his appearance and talked with their mother. He looked to his brother and grinned. "Do you think we'll ever get to fight in a battle?" Casper asked. Asesino hadn't heard their exchange as she was concentrated on what Jasper had said. She nuzzled him in return and smiled, though it faltered slightly as he mentioned secrets and followed his gaze to Rose. Asesino held her tongue, but gave Jasper a firm nod and then crouched beside her children. Caspian and Casper weren't hers, not biologically, but she would call them her own. Odysseia watched as Funeral and Cocaine lead Osic away. Was it to his death? She thought. It was clearly not the time to strike up conversation with Funeral. She turned and nearly bumped into Geminor, whom had woken up from her slumber. The hermaphrodite snapped grumpily at Odysseia, but she ignored it and continued on her way toward the healers den. Others would arrive there too. Who was more badly injured though? Carnal had slipped away from the escort when Funeral and Cocaine had taken over, and she moved to sit beside Odysseia. "Carnal, if you want to ta-""No." Carnal snapped and then remained quiet. Odysseia sighed and nodded. There would be time for talk later. Geminor glanced around. "The fuck did I miss." Snapped the female as she looked for someone to talk to. Her eyes fell upon Corona. "What I miss?"[/ul][/blockquote]

Zephyr & Estavan
Zephyr had returned from battle without a moment's thought, just wishing to be away from all the violence for a bit. It was strange how quick and fast he acted, how loyally he took commands in stride.. and how much he had disobeyed his parents.
He should have stayed and been a healer like Viciado, Nerante and Iarri. They knew their stuff. They knew to stay at the sidelines and help those who did more than he ever did. Well, aside from helping the commander with a big problem during the whole chaos. It was funny how he acted impulsively, just leaping to help him out to restrain the traitor he had heard so much about.
Seeing her in person, it was funny how weak she was. But those actions were not without consequence; he had been pulled away and fought at pretty hard by one of La Morte. It sustained him pretty large injuries, and he had limped his way back home, hoping to god that Nerante or anyone else wouldn't see him and freak out. At least he was still standing. Heavily breathing, but still standing.
Meanwhile, eyes gazed at the group down below talking and resting up from the sudden battle. Estavan had never been one for social outings, and fights with prides he didn't care about were one of them. When the call to arms was called, he promptly turned tail and fled. And now he watched his sister go about being all altruisitic and caring.
He gave a small 'puh' at her, before his eyes moved over to his family; his mother and father congratulating his brother on.. murdering someone. He could hear them clear as day and for some reason.. that infuriated him. But then again, Kazbek and Iarri had always been the apple of Kodiac and Caylis' eye.
Seeing as how his absence had drawn on long enough, the young male took flight to guide down to the group, no words spoken, just looking at his family for some sort of recognition.

Caylis turned her head and nodded to him, at least grateful that the BloodBeast didn't give her the evil look, she was going to see Vicadio to get healed, but before she did, she saw one of her sons, Estavan. She smiled at him and purred. "Greetings, Estavan. I'm just going to get healed and then perhaps, we could all spend time with each other as a family, you like the idea?" she called calmly before nuzzling him and going up to check with the seasoned healer.
Blood was on Cay's sides and one at her cheek, and an eye scar given from Influence.. oh how she hated him... didn't he understand? She sighed and curled her tail neatly around her paws. Iarri would be busy enough, she guessed, but not as busy as Vicadio or Nerante.. most likely anyway.
Rose looked at her shoulder, the wound from Slaughter hurt like hell, she winced as she limped over to Nerante. "If you're not busy with your cubs, sir Nerante, would you mind healing me? If you're busy I won't disturb you." she said calmly before wincing at the pain.
The cub had just been picked up and to her mother, shrugging, she snuggled by her mother and purred, safe and secure in the Veldt.

Osic Donovan | Corona Sulliveri | Iarri Kannon
Brows furrowed a tad. Osic didn't need to look up to know that some of the commanders words were meant for him. Gaze did lift somewhat when a pair of red dipped paws came to stand opposite his tan ones. His father's paws were still so much larger. Thoughts wondered to the weapons that hid underneath and his stomach twisted again. Purple's looked fully up then to meet with deep greens. Sudden memories of when he was young danced in the back of his mind. When he had only been months old his eyes had also been that deep forested green. But then the green flecked and gradually became Najisi's eyes. Osic wondered then if his father would have more lenient feelings if he didn't have to stare into a gaze that mirrored that female's own defiant purples. Osic's face twisted briefly into that of pain but he nodded and followed his father. A glance was shot to Carnal as she departed. He wanted to say something to her, but what could he say? Giving a sigh he faced back around.
Corona stared between her brother and her 'aunt'. A few times she had looked for Edmund but couldn't seem to spot him. Did he know of what Alfwin had did? Gaze swept downward when something touched her paw. Corra stared at the cub in confusion but pulled back a little when Nerante appeared and picked the little female up.
The red female watched her parents and her own brother. She wondered if Kaz would ever kill their mother. He had been so happy when she had returned but if she had never come back, would he? If what Cocaine said was true then Kazbek has already killed and he looked so proud. Iarri had never been the violent type. It was why she chose to heal. She couldn't picture herself taking someone's life. Iarri gave a shake of her head as her eyes were drawn down to one of Ryssor's daughters. The little ones mother would most likely be worried sick about the cub. Before Iarri could pick the cub up it's father was already there. She gave a nod. She had been right about his mother calling her soon. She snuck a look to Corona. Would her friend be alright alone? Corona returned the look and gave a silent nod before standing and wondering off elsewhere. She would have to find the demonic later and check up on her. "Alright. I'm coming." She replied to Nerante in that soft way of hers as she followed behind him.

Kazbek Kannon & Edmund Helios & Circa Da'ei
Circa stepped away from Osic as well, knowing that she was not the one called along with the other higher ups- if they wanted her, they'd call for her, but she really hoped they wouldn't. As she finally took a look around, she spotted Corona with tears running down her face; and Circa leaped into alert. Ears folding down, she quickly made her way towards the young girl to comfort her. Which reminded her- she also needed to find Edmund... He had a horrible breakdown, he needed someone as well. She hadnt yet processed what Alwin had done until now, she hadn't seen the killing really until Funeral mentioned it. It was shocking, and bittersweet. She was Circa's friend, even though she betrayed her pride, Circa didn't think her cubs deserved the complete death of the last member of their family... No matter, they would always have her, she would make sure of that.
"Corona... I'm so sorry sweety..." She mewed as she came up to the younger adolescent, going to nuzzle her head softly. "I didn't think it would turn out this way."
Edmund stayed hidden, turning his attentions to his sister and aunt. He wanted to join them, but couldn't bring himself to move yet. He felt guilty, and no less. Kazbek on the other hand, let his pride simmer as his brother appeared. His blue eyes wanted to roll; he wasn't even In the fight, what right did he have to look all sour all the damn time? Passing it off his broad shoulders, he walked up to him to greet him anyway. "Why so down looking brother? We won this round! This is a time for celebration!"

[style=float:left;margin:0px 15px 0px 0px;border:5px solid #3d0002;] Crowther considered himself very lucky to have gotten away from the battle with very few injuries. He was glad for this not only for selfish reasons, but also because he knew he could serve his friends and pride in the future if they needed help and most others were still injured. He arrived on the scene quietly and stood near a few others. He looked up to Cocaine and Funeral as they spoke of the battle, but he didn't feel like celebrating. A more sober look fell across his features as he looked around. Many of the members rejoiced from the victory or perhaps had revenge simmering within them. This was indeed war, Crowther supposed. But he had seen this before and it did not enthuse nor amuse him. He knew what could happen when hate and a taste for blood mixed dangerously. For a moment, he was glad he didn't have any particularly close family in the pride. There was always a chance that he would see them die. Sometimes war was necessary, he supposed, but it would not bring good to everyone. The battle was won, but he was sure that the path they all followed was shrouded in despair. Though, perhaps Crowther had simply been on the "right" side of the fight this time. La Morte was surely determined, but they seemed to be outnumbered. Meurtrier had taken lives as well as prisoners, and Crowther knew they wouldn't be the last. He lowered his head. His new pride was strong, and he had few doubts that they would not win this war. How many more would fall for their victory? Crowther was glad he had come to the pride of his roots, and not its opponents. [/style]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,30,true][atrb=width,470,true][bg=3D0002] » CASSIUS « |
[style=float:left;margin:0px 15px 0px 0px;border:5px solid #3d0002;] Cassius had retreated from battle when called and drug his paws home after the fight. His wounds throbbed, but it wasn't anything too severe. It was plenty for him to complain about though. Cassius felt unfulfilled. Had they really won the battle? No.. more like: Had he really won the battle? He hadn't made his adversaries suffer as much as he would have liked, but he supposed that would have put him at risk as well. A sigh escaped him as he half-heartedly limped into the clearing and sat down a little ways away. He ducked his head to lick at the scratches on his chest while his ears remained rigid to listen to what his father had to say. He felt a sudden sense of fidelity to his birth pride at the words spoken. He stopped licking for just a moment to sweep a glare around the crowd, looking for whoever the leaders were referring to. Cassius wasn't particularly eager to fight more, but he did enjoy winning for once, even if it was sort of secondhand. He didn't know the members of La Morte very well, but they were his enemies by default. Cassius almost dreaded the thought of the next battle, but at the same time he felt as if it gave him more purpose. This was what he was born and bred for, after all. Training with his family was one thing, but fighting the enemy was certainly different. Another sigh as he slumped his shoulders and ran his tongue over his lightly bloodied paw. VICIADO, NERANTE, CAINE, KODIAC, CARNAL, ODYSSEIA, GEMINOR
Nerante was relieved that his mother didn't ask him to do it. Was it possible that she saw him as a full blown healer at last? It would mean that Iarri was the one to do all apprentice tasks. "And Nerante, go out there and find us some of the hurt and injured. Those who need a den to rest until they're well." She gave a nod and Nerante returned it. "Come on Iarri, help me find some of the weak and injured."' He said and left the den. Immediately his eyes fell on Carnal and Odysseia. "How are you both?" Carnal lifted her head slowly and Odysseia was already to her paws. "I'm fine." Carnal mumbled. Nerante narrowed his eyes and looked her over carefully. Wounds on the side of her face. And then her wings; they appeared torn and tattered. No doubt very sore. Carnal huffed and got to her paws. "FINE! I'll get checked." Nerante gave an approved nod and she headed into the den. Viciado greeted her and began to treat the wounds immediately before she sent Carnal down into a den to rest. Those wings would need to be stretched often once Carnal had recovered fully. Viciado dipped her head out of the den. "Sorry Ner' but I'll need Iarri in here. Just send the injured in one by one. I'm sure you can do that." Viciado said and Nerante sighed, but nodded. Iarri would help his mother and he would send in those hurt. Iarri probably needed the practice anyway. "I'm fine, honest. Just a few scratches. I got off lucky." Odysseia said as she stood up and Nerante looked back to her. He nodded. "M'kay, go on then. We need room for those who are injured." His attention turned away from her as she walked off. Then Rose and Caylis made an appearance and he gave them both a quick look-over. "Head into the den. Viciado and Iarri are in there and you'll need to give my mother a full report on what hurts and what's been harmed, even if it's obvious." He said to them both and then turned his attention elsewhere. A certain figure caught his eyes. "Zephyr!" His call caught Caine's attention. Father and son raced over to brother and son. "Thank Dante you're alright. How was it? Need anything fixed? You should head over to our den, mother will be--" "Woah there Ner', it's good to have Zephyr back but let's give him space. Zephyr, Ner's right though. Head over to have yourself checked out and to say hi to your mother. And good job out there." Caine noted the lack of gashed and wounds. Zephyr must have done really well or didn't get too dreadfully involved. Nerante bowed his head and returned to his duties before anyone -- specifically Viciado or Iarri -- noticed. It would take forever if Nerante went from one to another just to see if they were involved, so he raised his head "ATTENTION! Anyone who was in battle needs to come and get checked by myself or Viciado. Please come over at once. We don't want to be tracking down the hurt and injured by blood trails, now do we?" He yelled out and then waited patiently for others to come over. Kodiac stretched as Estavan showed up and Kazbek began to ask his brother why he looked down. The father acted quickly. "Hey Kaz, why don't you go and check in with Viciado, Iarri, and Nerante, okay? You need to get checked out. You and your mother both." Though Caylis had already moved over to the den to be taken care of. His gaze fell on Estavan then. "Hello son, how are you?" Kodiac laid down and invited his son over to him. Geminor turned away from Corona. Maybe Circa would hold answers. "Circa dear," He said. "What did I miss? Are we truly at war? A battle?"[/ul][/blockquote]

Circa & Kazbek
Circa turned from the upset demonic mix at the sound of Geminor's voice, surprisingly not as grumpy as she usually would expect from the older 'ess. With the tip of her tail still resting on Corona in comfort she answered the other 'ess softly, not failing to show confidence in their succession today. "Yes, I'm afraid we are very well at war- with he traitors that once lived in our pride. They formed their own... Luckily though, we are strong, and we lost no warriors today in relativity to the others; who lost two." She said, but trailed off as she began to think about it. Baby blues looked worried once again as they flicked toward the throne, "Hopefully."
Kazbek looked a bit confused as his father shoo'd him before he could talk to his brother. But of course, he wasn't that much of an idiot. Yes, please, help the crybaby. He hissed inwardly, yet sighed it off. He's still my brother, no matter how difficult. Brushing against his mother's shoulder, he pointed his snout in the direction of Viciado's den; a small gathering was forming there, many had cuts and wounds that needed to be attended to. Including Kazbek... The pride that he experianced took the pain away from the laceration on his belly, but he couldn't mask it forever. "Come on mom, let's make sure we're ship shape."

He furthered the journey so they were just around the bend - the Throne just barely in sight. He stepped where the path turned into and around the mountain that loomed over the clearing. Funeral allowed Osic to settle. His gaze would glance to Cocaine briefly before his attention went back to his son. It didn't seem to phase him that his eyes were that of his traitor mother's. In fact - he was already so lenient so as to not kill him where he stood in that very moment.
But it wasn't just for the fact that this was his son.
His dark olives would flick to the crowd, keeping his voice low - not that it was needed. He gave a long, simple stretch. Although the pain bore down upon his back, he concluded he indeed had endured worse, and seemed to shake it off for the time being. Business.
"Let us start with.. your thoughts." His voice was low and slick. No longer laced with venom and rage.
Not yet.
"What were you thinking back there, hm? What made you choose to do what you did?"

Zephyr & Estavan
The young blue haired male gave a small smile to his father and older brother as they rushed up to him; obviously they were concerned, but he wanted to brush them off. He was fine. Just feeling incredibly sore and perhaps there were something he hadn't caught an eye on.
"Dad, brother, I'm fine," He reassured them, stretching and rolling his shoulders and looking around at the crowd formed near them. It seemed that Meurtrier were celebrating something fierce, a worthy victory if Zephyr could say so himself. As much as he wasn't for violence, he had to admit he was still proud of himself. "Yeah, good idea. And thanks." He agreed with his father's thoughts; he needed to head out and checked out by his mother. No doubt she'd be in a huff over him but that was the consequences of his actions he supposed.
Bidding his family goodbye, the young male left them all to attend to duties and victory and went to visit his mother, whom he could smell in one of the dens nearby. Well, at least until Nerante had called out where to go. Shaking his head, Zephyr walked his way slowly into the den, flanking Carnal who had just finished being tended to and Kazbek with his mother Caylis.
"Hey Mother.." He greeted her sheepishly, before nodding to the arrivals and noting how hurt everyone else was.
Estavan, even in his normally sour state of mood, took into consideration how lively the Veldt was. It hadn't been like this in years; pride members usually kept to themselves and everything was nice and normal and then suddenly.. victory. Everyone's happy and socalising and being thankful it wasn't as bad as it could have been.
Iarri was happy doing her healing duties, and Kazbek was actually useful to the pride for once. That just left the black sheep of the small litter. His mother greeted him in tow, licking his head affectionately, as if that was going to make what she did right. But not wanting to spoil the mood.. what was wrong with him? Perhaps he was proud of his dysfunctional family?
"Hey." He murmured, inwardly happy to see his brother alive and well and wanted to say so much to him. Talk about how grateful he is for being skilled in the art of war and that he was strong and alive and did a great service.. but then Kodiac shooed them away. Eyes narrowed at his father for a split second before walking over and joining him.
He'd talk to Kazbek later. He deserved that at least if he was going to go to war again.
Estavan shook his head and rested his dark body down next to his father. "Fine." He murmured.

Alfwin grew a bit agitated by the adulation. They had won due to numbers in his eyes. It was not a strategic victory, nor one of skill. Thus the joy bothered him. He did his best to disguise his limp, though it was still quite noticeable. Always strange, Alfwin avoided the others, planning to stalk off toward the den. He avoided looking for his siblings. He did look for Circa, however. For some reason, he felt as if he owed her an explanation. He was in no mood to talk, however.
