The King was sitting in solitude (just to the side of the Throne) and only the arrival of Odysseia would keep him placed in his seat. He gave her a dip of his head in greeting, perhaps a glow of beginning adoration trickling into dark emerald flecks, and watching her as she came over.
He made no sound, blinking once or twice, as he awaited for her to greet him or move over to sit or whatever she desired.

ODYSSEIA
[/i] She asked. The subject of the meat would pop up sooner or later; but first she wanted to see how he was doing. Being with him brought her a certain.. undescribed joy.[/ul][/blockquote]

The male gave a nod. "Better." He grunted softly, leaning over to bump her shoulder with his head, taking care to avoid prodding her with his horns. As he readjusted himself, the King's ribs rose and fell once. "You?"

[/i] She said and brought her tail over her paws. "To be honest, I'm worried." She said.[/ul][/blockquote]

His head lifted slightly, ears perked in her direction as he turned to face her. "Worried? About what?" Though he felt like he knew the answer - perhaps the war had effectively made it's way into everyone some way or another.

ODYSSEIA
[/i] She began and hoped it wouldn't sound too strange. "We have someone to heal the physical wounds, but sometimes, wounds cut deeper than flesh allows. What's left in the mind deserves to be healed as much as what lays on the skin. I don't know of many prides that practice healing of the mind, but I think it would greatly benefit Meurtrier if at least one of the healers was capable of such a thing.. which shouldn't be too hard. Talking things out and giving everyone a chance to vent and rant without worrying that their words may meet another's ears. Trust in a healer that won't spill secrets, to anyone." Odysseia said. She wasn't personally experienced in such matters, but knew of one, in her lifetime, who had been. Her mother. Lana. Skilled at easing the pain within. Surely, out of everyone in Meurtrier, there was someone capable of such a task.[/ul][/blockquote]

"Meurtrier has been through years of both suffering and enlightenment. By now, we should be used to mental wounds." His eyes were unconcerned. "But I suppose this generation needs help. Could do them good." He shrugged. "Though, what you speak of, sounds like simple consolation of a friend or close one. And then, who would you suggest be up to such a task?" He quirked a brow in interest.

[/i] She said. But Odysseia didn't want to seem too pressing, so her tone was somewhat light. "While it does seem like work that may work best with friends or family, sometimes, friends and family aren't whom someone may want to go to. Sometimes it's easier to trust in a stranger with dark secrets. My mother helped heal many minds. And she taught me a good deal of what I know. While I wouldn't be up to the task permanently, I would help teach mind healing to anyone who wants to know, while temporarily helping others." Odysseia's gaze moved out to other parts of the Veldt. There were broken minds in the pride, and she didn't doubt that, but it would take quite a bit of encouragement to get them to come forward, for their own sake. She turned back to Funeral. "At the very least, think about it. I can name several who are broken in the mind and, with time, could heal." Ody said.[/ul][/blockquote]

He listened to her, gaze met her own as she explained. On several points, he seemed to contemplate her words. After she explained, he would nod slowly. "I suppose so. I trust you to do a well enough job should the task be up to you.." He thought for a few more moments before adding. "If you really want it." He offered, a small smile showing stretching his inky lips.

ODYSSEIA
[/i] Odysseia said. Trust was a big thing for her, being given or giving it. To have Funeral say he trusted her was a great honour. It strengthened what they had, too. She and he had spent a lot of time together. "Well, I'll look into setting that up then. Thank you, Funeral. But let's speak of something else? Have you met my brother, Fracture? He's been allied, and lurks for my sake. Good spirit, just a bit grumpy." She said.[/ul][/blockquote]

The King gave her a small dip of his head as she spoke. When she mentioned her brother, he thought for just a few beats before opening his maw to speak. "I can't say that I have. It's good that he is allied, however. We need both allies and members for the pride these days." He thoughtfully replied. "I assume I'll be able to trust him as well. He has a phenomenal sister."

ODYSSEIA
[/i] She said with a smirk. If Fracture were there he would have had a fit. "I trust him a great deal, so I'm positive you'll be able to, too." Odysseia added on. She wasn't quite sure how to respond to Funeral's compliment however. Not entirely unexpected, as it was, just a nice thing to hear. How many could say that Funeral had called them phenomenal? Then again how many flirted with death? "Thank you, and he should do himself well by meeting the phenomenal king Funeral." At last she replied. [/ul] then they fucked.[/blockquote]

As she explained more of her brother, an approving grunt could be heard. "We're lucky to have him as an ally, then." He would remark, before his audit caught her compliment pushed back towards him. A short chuckle, inky lips barely withholding a smile. "I'm not so certain you'd call him phenomenal," He began. "After all, I used that for you." His gaze moved toward the lands, perhaps to occupy himself elsewhere as he spoke next. "Stress-ridden, more like. But then, alongside you, he may come off to be a bit brighter than he usually is. The moon always seems sought after beside the sun."

ODYSSEIA
[/i] She replied with a nod. Odysseia loved Fracture dearly. He was all she had left of their broken family. A deceased, psychotic fathered; and a mother in their homeland, so far from it. At least she had Funeral. The king brought Odysseia comfort, he made her smile, and they held the most enjoyable conversations. "You are quite the charmer." Odysseia purred and flicked her tail against him playfully as she laughed. "Mother said in the dark, we shine the brightest. That even the sun may be jealous of us. I believe her, of course. Everyone has good in them; not everyone is all 'rough and tough', Funeral." Odysseia said, her tone light as she nudged him softly. A deep sigh and she leaned to her side. "I like you a lot, Funeral. But I worry.." She said, eyes avoiding his.[/ul][/blockquote]
