» CASSIUS
Cassius looked distant, as if he wasn't entirely paying attention to the situation. It startled him when his father snapped at them. He shuddered, looking at Kururu, who he hoped wouldn't do anything too stupid. He shuddered and looked away towards his father, his head tilted slightly. What was Ku referring to?
The young Caliver looked from Cocaine, then Nerante, then Ryssor, then back at Cocaine. He had a bit of a spacey expression on his face, as if he was trying to figure this out. He swallowed, finally seeming to catch onto what was happening. All three of them were.. conspiring. They were in cahoots. That was it! They had both selected the strongest female in the pride to bear their cubs and then.. compete with each other for the next open high rank? The next healer? Oh, he had to be right.
Huh.. Cassius wondered how Kururu had figure all of this out before him. How barbaric, but Cass wouldn't put it past them. Barbaric but.. interesting.. Family drama that didn't involve him, but this Ryssor lady. Scandalous! The male's face lit up very briefly. It was none of his business, but he suddenly wanted to discover more.
It was clear he didn't know any of them very well at all.
"Oooh, make him eat it." The petty reaction to the tongue threat was barely audible. He smirked rather deviously, then put a paw to his mouth as if the words had accidentally slipped from him. He was probably going to get beat up later. It wasn't long until his expression returned to its characteristic sulk; his posture - the usual slouch.
Looking at his father made him shiver again. Everybody held such cold yet emotional looks. An interesting sight, but he didn't want any of those looks directed towards him. He averted his eyes and stared at Novocain. So what if his half siblings were bastards? It had happened before, and it was bound to happen again. He didn't think it was that uncommon, but Cassius didn't much realize the significance and sentiment of this complicated web of relationships. Still, he didn't really think it was a big deal, and he surely didn't look down on his father for it. Cassius raised a paw to rub at the cuts on his chest from the battle. Perhaps things would be different if he knew the whole story.
