COCAINE, NERANTE, NERRY, NOVOCAIN
He asked. Nerante held his wings close to his sides as well. Would he be the one to teach his children to fly? Cocaine wasn't too far off either. He had his cubs from Stella to look over and now Ryssor's. Novocain, his son from Stella, had grown quite a bit as well. The young lad often stuck to his father's side, though questioned nothing. Not even Cocaine's silent vigil over the newborns of Ryssor. [/ul][/blockquote]

Kururu
Kururu had taken to following Cocaine around, he was bored of Cassius and was curious to know what the now, Second in Comman did throughout the day. He trailed behind them, only to watch his father and little Novo stop. Curiously he approached them, looking at Cocaine before turning his head to see what they laid on. Right, more cubs. Kuru grew tired of this quickly and turned to Novo, pressing his paw against his newer brother's side. "New friends for you, huh?"

Evangeline Caliver
The youth had walked elegantly, her eyes were like Cocaine's, she was quite curious about that male who held the marking as she did. With that, she made her way boldly up to the commander, she looked as if she was about to shoot lazer beams out of her eyes or something, she started to look up to the massive black and red male with awe. She looked to the other male who looked somewhat like her, she grinned. "You.. wanna play?" she said with a grin, she liked having fun, though she wouldn't get angry if the male declined.

[style=float:left;margin:0px 15px 0px 0px;border:5px solid #3d0002;] Cassius had been passing through on his way to take a nap in the shade, but the sight of his father and his new siblings caught his attention. He watched at a distance, observing the many cubs on the scene. So this was the next batch of killing machines? Figured. He snorted, but remained where he was for a few more moments. Somehow, he felt he owed a little visit. Just one. Maybe if he was nice, one of his younger siblings would look up to him or something. Haha. There was hope for them yet. Cassius started towards them slowly, feeling 'generous' enough to visit. Still, the sight of Kururu was enough to set his fur ablaze. He hung back a little bit, but watched the cubs enough to try and remember what they looked like and which names belonged to each one. Cass couldn't really tell them apart either. Whatever. They were probably all related anyway. [/style]

Atryn Caliver
The young male who lay with his paws tucked nearby, looking a bit bored of his siblings, was obviously the son of Cocaine out of the mixed litter; his brown hair and the X on his shoulder told a clear story... And he himself got some sort of hushed feeling, though he was unsure of how to analyze it any further at his age, or why it mattered to him somewhere in his mind. Nerente was claimed to be his father, but... The word didn't feel completely sound, even in his little brain that knew nothing of who his real father was. For all he knew, his father was Nerente, and no one else; but why did he feel so distanced? Why did he feel his father's eyes scan his pelt as if to question him? It made the cub feel uncomfortable and.. Wrong. The uneasy feeling made him stay nearer his mother, Ryssor.
His ears perked as his sister Evangeline approached the commander... A brave move, though one he looked like he wanted to make as well. Rising from his spot nearby his mother, he stalked until he was behind his sister, also looking up to the male curiously, as if adding in to his sister's question.

Kururu & Essence
Kururu shook his head to answer his siblings question. "No, we did not play. We trained....every single day." he smirked, "Isn't that right, Cassius?" he said, his eyes still on Novocain. He tortured his brother so much that when his scent was in the air he spotted it in moments. "Why not come join your siblings?" he laughed. He turned towards the direction a small mew was heard from. Cubs, these cubs from that female were coming up to Cocaine. Kururu narrowed his eyes. His tail slapping against his side, wait a minute. Those markings, he looked at Cocaine's shoulder, then his own. Something wasn't right. Neither parents held their marking, and he'd seen the grandparents enough to know neither did they.
He nudged Novocain. "Let's say hello." his paws moved towards the cubs, slowly as to not appear he was a threat. He looked at them scanning their bodies. Taking in their scents. No, he wasn't one that could track. He looked at Cocaine, with questioning eyes. Although, his higher up held the same gaze for every event. Still, he tried to pick something up. Would he do that to Stella? No, he had to much loyalty. To his pride, to his mate...well, he'd never seen them exchange kind words and very little contact.
Essence's eyes followed his siblings who were moving away. They weren't leaving him behind! He followed quickly, and pushed his chest out staring the other large creatures in the eye. This male looked like his siblings, even smelled like them! It was probably because they all smelled like the flowers in the trees. But theirs had a little more to them. It was pushed aside in seconds, as someone caught his eye. A little figure popped out, he was larger then himself. But closer to his size then the rest. He walked up to him, cocking his head to the side causing his long mane to fall along his face. "Hi." he simply said, there was nothing more he could add. His speech was still limited.

Jaenil Iden
Slowly but surely Ryssor was beginning to wean her cubs. Yet one in particular was having none of it. The tiny female had tried meat the first time her parents had offered it to her and her siblings, but she immediately spat it out and ran for a milk giving teat. Now Jaenil was beginning to slowly chew more frequently on grass and any kind of berries she happened upon. More often than not she would also cry to Ryssor whenever someone brought back any kind of meat. That's so meeaan, she would always whine. Grasses were what she munched on now, tossing her head to the occasional bitterness. Her soft yet deep blues lifted as three of her siblings moved a bit away from the den. Jaenil spat out the blade of grass and stood. A couple of small steps were taken but the group of males in front of her litter mates wandered were too intimidating for a closer approach.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,30,true][atrb=width,470,true][bg=3D0002] RYSSOR & FIRENZE |
If the female was showing signs of recovery, she wasn't exactly displaying it outwardly yet; despite the few weeks ago, Ryssor was still hit with the overwhelming and intense need to sleep. Being a new mother of eight hyperactive and curious cubs was now a full time job. She would be lying if she said she felt worthless.
It had felt like only a few months ago that she was strong, able bodied and ready to hunt for the survival of the pride. Now it was just sitting in the den, day in, day out and waiting on Nerante. Even if the cubs were amazingly cute and she also admitted that she adored them to hell and back, she tried not to seem annoyed as they harassed her with an oncoming barrage of questions.
"Perhaps your father can, Nerry," She answered to her son, whom was definitely Nerante's. "I have no wings, I'm not that blessed."
Her answers were interrupted by the arrival of Cocaine and his cubs. Some of her own, namely Evangeline and Essence, ran off to greet them. She shrugged - she'd just have to trust them. Too tired and sore to get up.
Meanwhile, Firenze had been following close behind, having watching Kururu and then Cassius leave and felt the curiosity build up inside him - soon the black pelted, brown haired cub was in hot pursuit, and bought up the rear until he neared his two older brothers. Eventually he made it and saw a whole mess of cubs - finally, something interesting might happen!
He gave a small laugh and moved his way to the group, eager to meet the new arrivals.

The young cub's navy gaze looked to Cassius and smiled to him with a grin, "C-Cass-ee-us? Be happeh!" she said with a smile, trying to match his name and cheering him to be happy despite his ever-gloomy look, before turning to Kururu with a giggle, squeaking as she accidently fell on her rump. Looking to her siblings with a playful smirk and attempted to roar but it turned out to be a loud squeak. She was still curious.. she felt so alone when she realized Nerante's scanning gaze over her.. it felt so uncomforting.. so wrong.. With that, she made her way up to the Commander and attempted to sit by him, her navy gaze trying to meet his. She now looked over to her siblings and grinned. "I did eet!" before her navy gaze caught her mother and zoomed over to her like a rocket. "Momma! Momma!" she squeaked and purred, curling around her legs with a smile. She loved her family and she knew that she would do her best to be a proud Meurtrieran! She stood proud and looked up to her mother. "I w-want to be a good Meu-Meurtri-Meurtrier-Meurtrierian!" she vowed, grinning.

[/style] [atrb=width,550,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign,top][bg=3D0002] » CASSIUS Cassius continued to observe silently, watching as even more cubs appeared. His ears laid back and he went to lie down, but the sound of his name made him freeze. He looked up to see Kururu, his eye giving a slight twitch. He let out an exaggerated sigh as he steeled himself and got back onto his paws, dragging them over to where his siblings were. "If I must.." He walked with Kururu, and then looked back down at Firenze and Evangeline with a quirk of the eyebrow. "Ah.. yes. Close enough." His head was lowered, shoulders slumped and tail dragged. "Happy? About what?" He spoke rather dryly, but then remembered he was trying to make a good impression on these young ones. Most of them didn't seem interested in him, and he liked to think the feeling was mutual. But.. there was some reason he was there. Even upon observation of all the cubs, Cassius hadn't quite picked up on their differences. Not enough attention was paid to their looks for him to see that some looked a little different. Well, they were probably Nerante's litter or something. It was difficult to tell them apart with a low caring level. He knew of his direct siblings' scents, but still the smells were a bit muddled. Cassius didn't think much of it. He watched as they moved around quickly, bouncing from place to place. He felt like some elder, wishing they would slow down. Kururu was right, he never played or ran around. The only time he moved that fast was during training, and even then he was a bit sluggish.

COCAINE & NOVOCAIN
He moved forward with his siblings to look at the younger ones. Just as Nerante arrived too. The male sat nearby. Nerry nodded at his mother and looked over to see his father -- and just as he was about to run over, someone else beat him to it. The Commander had approached Nerante swiftly. Both males sat side by side as they looked on. At their mistake, at their chosen love, their cubs. Their families. Cocaine tilted his head toward Nerante, and Nerante did the same to Cocaine. "I know." Nerante murmured quietly. Cocaine turned his full attention on the healer. "I'm not stupid. Some of them aren't mind. I can see it. And I'm sure your elder children can too." He paused and looked at the commander as Cocaine looked back at the cubs. There was a faint twinkle.. something.. there. Like emotion buried deep beneath the surface of his higher ranked superior. Nerante got to his paws and moved past everyone and leaned down to lick the top of Ryssor's head, and brought his muzzle down to her ear so that he could whisper to her. "I'll always love you," He glanced over his shoulder and made sure no one was listening in. "But I know some of them aren't mine. And the others can surely tell as well. But this will never change how I feel about you, or how I've felt about you.." Nerante could feel his chest being torn to shreds. An internal pain that would never heal. "You've something good with the captain, and I can see that. I see how he looks at you and the cubs. How he watches vigil over them, and has, since the birth" Nerante hadn't missed a beat. "You can't have both of us though. And as much as I'd like to be yours forever, I don't think I will be." He gave a lick to the top of Ryssor's head and nuzzled her. Nerry squirmed between them and looked up with a big smile. "Dad!" Nerry squealed and began to climb on his fathers paws. It held Nerante in place, and it kept him from shaking. He had intended to leave, but instead rested and flicked Cocaine over with his tail. Half of these cubs were Cocaine's, and Ryssor deserved to be happy. Even if it tore Nerante apart. The commander hesitated but figured that there was no better time than the present. Slowly he approached and rested on the opposite side of Ryssor, some distance away, and placed his head on the ground as he watched his newborns play.[/ul][/blockquote]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,30,true][atrb=width,470,true][bg=3D0002] RYSSOR |
The more Nerante said, those fatal words rolling from his broken tongue and her hearing it, but wanting to deny it fully, Ryssor felt herself get closer to the precipice of despair.
No. No. No, no, no no.
All she could do was stare up at mate as he admitted the whole truth to her. She couldn't even give him the dignity to deny it, it wasn't true, she hadn't cheated at all. But it was too obvious. Atryn was one of the pieces of evidence that Nerante could see, plain as day. Behind those confident eyes her now defunct mate was showing, she could see how much he was crumbling apart from the inside.
To him, he was worthless, powerless and didn't have a shred of dignity left within him.
To her, she still loved him. She fell in love with him. He was the first male to ever show kindness in her life, and he blessed her with love, support and beautiful children.
But now she had torn him apart. Cheated on him. Made him feel like nothing was good for him anymore. She had months to confess, but she didn't. She didn't offer him that kind of pleasure. He deserved the truth.
And she didn't give it to him.
I'm sorry, Nerante..
They'd spent a full year talking about how shit life was and how people always treated them like dirt under a paw. It was at that moment that it dawned onto Ryssor, and she was powerless to do anything. She couldn't move
She had become the people that she had despised in the past.
She was the enemy.
Nerante would never forgive her.
I'm sorry.
...
A tempest loomed on the horizon. And it was her fault entirely.

Kururu watched Cocaine, taking his mind off of everything else around him. Where was he.....what were they talking about...wait, no. He seen him lay beside Ryssor, opposite of Nerante. He felt like a boulder smashed him across the face. I knew it he thought, frozen in his place as he stared at Cocaine. His orbs directly on him, with confusion, he was the Captain, and now Second in Command. He was the face of loyalty and strength to Kururu. Yet, here he laid before him, showing that in fact, he'd betrayed his status. At least, to Kururu. He was no longer loyal. He'd betrayed Stella. How long before he betrayed his own cubs? The litter that seemed to be messed up.
His eyes looked down at Novo, gazing at his half-siblings. He was oblivious. What would happen to them? No, they would live. They're fresh blood, but to his mother. He doubted she would stand for this, and what would she do? She was unpredictable. His parents never had any tight connections, but they did hold on together for a good amount of time. Was her time over? He looked at Cassius, "Can you believe this bullshit...." he said, before turning his eyes back to Cocaine, as if to say, now what?

NERANTE & COCAINE & NOVOCAIN & NERRY
The was a fiery passion behind his words; but he wasn't as violent as usual. The threat, while not meaningless nor empty, wasn't in his usual tone. The commander was trying to enjoy time with his newborns and his older children in one area. He wouldn't stand for Kururu causing shit. Novocain, completely oblivious, narrowed his eyes walked over to his father. "Kururu didn't do anything wrong. Don't hurt his tongue. I like talking to him." He said. Cocaine looked down at Novocain and sighed. His face softened. "Fine. Go play with Kururu and Cassius, but if any of you have nothing nice to say, then say nothing at all. And I mean it."[/ul][/blockquote]
