A black and white paw stepped into her old home, blues gleaming as she arrived once again. She didn't care what anybody thought of her, Meurtrier needed her and she knew it. She sensed it, walking in slowly, she expected rage comments thrown at her, she didn't care. She needed to protect her old pride.. she quit on Malice Clan, her recent clan, it was going to fade away anyway. The residents that lived here should be thankful. Hehe. Bacardi and Draco were going to get their ass kicked soon. Her scars proved it.. she still had their scent on her.. even if the rain had washed most of it away earlier. She roared gently not to disturb anyone but to let the Meurtrians know that she had come back.
"Home." she whispered as her blues blazed determination. She wouldn't let anyone make her back down.. even her children.. though she would still treat them with respect they might hate her, she assumed. It was her fault, she deserved it. She should've never left her pride in the first place. She wouldn't take the same fate as Brynneth. Hell no. That wouldn't happen. My ass. she thought with a silent chuckle.
And so, Caylis awaited anyone who would approach, no matter who it was. If it wasn't for Cassius, she would've died and never found. She was thankful of that and he deserved praise. Standing quietly, she looked about with her gaze.

Kazbek Kannon
The young teen had been doing just fine without his mother, and he had grown quite a bit since she had left. He was a teenager now, still young and growing every day. As the rain sprinkled onto his broad head, and a rabbit hang limp in his jaws from one of his successful hunts, a roar hit his ears through the wetness. The rabbit dropped from his jaws partially on accident, but he let it be for the time being; the roar sounded too familiar... Immediately he shuffled, leaving the rabbit for a moment to soak on the ground, and climbed to the top of the hill he was on to peer around. What he saw, made his heart thump in cubbish excitement. "Mom?" He meowed, cocking his head at the black shape not too far from him. It sure looked like her, hell she hadn't been gone that long. No matter how much his siblings and father loathed her for leaving them, Kazbek couldn't keep himself mad at her. No, she was mother, and she was home again! Without further questioning he leaped off the hill and bounded towards her happily, forgetting about the rabbit altogether as he readied to tackle her. "Aw ma you're home, I thought you'd never come back!"

Cassius had lingered, but he hadn't wanted to arrive with the female. He stood on a ledge a ways away from the Throne under the shade of one of those flowery trees. He gave his paws a few licks and then looked over at Caylis when she let out a roar. At the same time, he let out a sigh. He was glad to have helped Caylis, as he knew she would have done the same for him, but he feared getting too close. Their lives were complicated enough. Pale blue eyes drifted away from her as another figure ran to embrace the female. I knew it. he thought, referring to Caylis's previous concerns that her children would hate her. Worried for nothing. He rolled his eyes. At the same time, he felt a burning jealousy. He ground his teeth for a moment before looking away. They were so.. happy. Why couldn't he be happy like that? What was stopping him? He snorted at himself. His thoughts were getting away from him. It was hypocritical of him to be angry, as it wasn't like he was doing anything to put light in his life. He had his chance and he brushed it away. He should be glad for them and himself, if anything, but he wasn't. Cassius was just grateful that nobody else could hear his thoughts. They even disgusted himself. He turned back to the scene and started making his way down the slope, trying to be subtle. He didn't especially want to be known on the scene, but he didn't want to seem like a creep either. These were not on his pity party's itinerary. His paw slipped when he tried to go down the grass, so he opted for an easier route. By the time he was on flat ground, he was standing in the shadow of the Throne, watching from there to see who else would go to greet Caylis.

Caylis sighed and chuckled, nudging Kazbek playfully. "I promised I would come back, didn't I?" For once, someone didn't want her dead or anything until Kodiac arrived.. she knew he wouldn't be pleased. She nodded, not caring if he trusted her or not. "Indeed.. Kodiac.. in fact. I quit it. Believe me or not, I speak the truth. I know that you took better care than I ever did.. I was indeed a fool to leave Meurtrier for such a foolish reason. Thank you." she said, rather awkwardly at the last part of her sentence, looking into his blues. "How are Estavan and Iarri? I hope they are well," she said with a nod. "I must have missed a lot, haven't I?" she said with a sigh. Flicking her ears, she sensed Cassius watching. Remembering his words when they were in the Forest. 'Who cares what they think about you?' made her confidence boost. Kodiac would just have to deal with it for all she cared.

Kazbek Kannon
He knew his father was there for him much more than Caylis was, but he loved her no less than his father, poor Kaz was no side chooser, especially parent wise. Once again, mother was mother. But now, as his father arrived, he saw the anger well up in his face at the sight. He backed up from his mother a bit, ears folding back guiltily as he looked towards his father, trying to look happier through a face of worry. "She's home dad, like she promised... Isn't that great?" He said, giving the larger male a nudge, but he went straight towards Caylis, and Kazbek feared the outcome... He simply listened to his mother speak, and hoped his father wouldn't hurt her for what she did.

Cassius continued with his observations. He held a paw up to his mouth as he watched Kodiac enter the scene. Ooh. It was about to get interesting. This much he knew, despite his feelings towards the Bloodbeast. Cass didn't hate him, but for a while, he and their children had been in the way. But now it was like they were in the same boat. Both lured in by Caylis, and both abandoned. Though, they were still involved to a certain depth. Or, at least that's what Cassius assumed. He guess he didn't know the whole story. Story.. probably more like an entire romance novel. Again, he rolled his eyes at his thoughts. Damn. Who's side was he even on? Cassius was inwardly startled at the approach of another male. He looked at his paws, wondering if he had jumped and knowing he shouldn't be able to allow others to sneak up on him. He turned his head, looking over a dark male, one he hadn't seen before. "Pardon me?" He looked down at the small gathering, and then back up. "Ah. Which part? Hmhm. The joy of being welcomed back, or the joy of knowing your mother hasn't abandoned you?" He said rather sarcastically. "Perhaps joy in general." Calm down, Cass. The guy had barely said a word to him. Ah, whatever. He was in too deep. It was time for a first-name basis. "Oh. How impolite of me. I was immersed in our collective disgust. My name is Cassius."

Iarri Kannon
Ears flipped forward to a familiar sound. All kinds of emotions crept up the young female's spine. Hesitation was certainly among those feelings. Though one would never be able to tell, Iarri was timid by nature; something everyone knew by now she figured. It wasn't like she hid her weaknesses. Steps were taken lightly, silently. A product of her small frame and delicate paws. It just so happened the red 'ess came from the direction in which two males sat, watching. She paused for a moment, head tilted. One was Cassius. The other she had no clue. A new member perhaps. Iarri changed her course toward them instead. Anything to prolong her arrival to Caylis. "It's not all that disgusting... More... Disappointing?" As per usual her voice was soft. Hardly louder than a whisper. Yet being the creatures they were, most everyone's hearing was sharp enough to hear her. Though "sweet", her tone also held indifference as she looked down at what the two males witnessed. She really didn't care as what they thought.

KODIAC KANNON

He murmured to Kazbek, then lifted his head to Caylis, eyes narrowed. "You and I are to have a talk later, alone." Snapped Kodiac quietly. He turned and walked away, not granting the female a chance to reply. On his way away, he spotted Iarri with Cassius and some other dude. He eyed the two adults then leaned down to his daughter. "Caylis is home. Though I can fully understand if you don't want to get near her. I'd advise against it anyway." Murmured the bloodbeast as he headed on his way. A long hunt would help clear his mind and vent his anger. [/ul][/blockquote][/div] Table Coding © Warrah Editing - Kahara "I'm Speaking!" | I'm thinking. FRACTURE DAKASA
|
Fracture said with a nod. "The name's Fracture. And I'd say collectively, it's all disgusting. Look at them, happy as could be.. though.." He paused as the bloodbeast made his way onto the scene and then left. Words were quietly passed between father and son, so it appeared. "It's good to see they're getting torn apart, hm?" Fracture grumbled with a snort. Then a small voice surprised him and he turned his head down to look at a young one. She looked a bit like the other cub in the distant, the one of Caylis and Kodiac. Perhaps she was? He remained silent as the bloodbeast father came over, glancing at Fracture and Cassius, before whispering something to his daughter. When the bloodbeast adult was gone, Fracture returned his attention to the young female. "A bit of both."[/ul][/blockquote][/div] Table Coding © Warrah Editing - Kahara "I'm Speaking!" | I'm thinking.

Estavan Kannon
Never had he thought he'd seen the day when Caylis would arrive back.
In his mind, that was what she deserved. A first name basis. Ever since she abandoned them, she had ceased to be 'mother' to him; certainly, they were bound by blood. She was the one who gave him life and raised him well. She had raised him to be strong. But all of those memories were locked away in a distant corner of his mind, as he remembered the heartbreak he had felt.
When she left, she abandoned her family, her kin. Kodiac was the only one to move on with his legacy and take care of them. On no part of Caylis did she be a bad mother to him in person. Estavan knew better than that. He was decent enough, but when he came back from his daily walks, all he was confronted with was the sight of the family back together again. Kodiac, Caylis, Kazbek and Iarri. He wanted to be a part of it, to interrogate her, ask her why she was back, why she had left, why he was too young and stupid to pursue.
But the fact of the matter was, he just stood there. Staring. Perhaps it was shock, perhaps it was fear, perhaps it was anger. But there was no denying that he had no idea how to go about it without causing a huge fuss. That would be out of character for him.
Instead, he just padded closer unblinkingly. Approaching the group with a cold stare.

Kazbek & Edmund & Circa
Once his father stalked off, he stood higher again, yet his ears folded back. "Sorry, mom... You should probably talk to dad." She said, looking to his mother apologetically as he followed his father, further back because frankly, he felt his father wasn't happy with him. Was he doing something wrong loving his mother? Why was the rest of his family holding tight grudges? Even Iarri refused to go near their mother. Frankly, he was almost disgusted at the distance he was feeling between his siblings, in fact his family. Instead of going to interact with his sister, he made a turn to the right, and went past them.
Edmund was somewhere else hanging out with his siblings, and for a rare moment; Circa on her downtime. They were simply lazing, and Kazbek felt more accepted in that aura then the one behind him, he went to sit by them. Edmund turned and gave a slight smile as Kazbek appeared, "Hey! What's up?" he suddenly sounded a bit concerned as he realized Kazbek didn't look as happy as he usually did. "Caylis is home." The red male had to say no more, Edmund pieced it together, but before he could respond, Circa rose next to them, and turned in the direction which Kazbek came. "I think I'll go greet her then, might as well."
Kazbek felt pleasant that Circa didn't sound mad either. She already had one friend leave and never return, but Caylis did return, and even though she was wary of her first; she had become a loyal ally. She had talked to Funeral before she left, and as promised, she returned. She didn't feel the need to have any qualms with that, least not immediately. As she made her way towards the black 'ess, her tail ticked in greeting and she offered a slight smile. "Caylis! I see you've made it home in one piece."

Caylis nodded to Kodiac and rolled her eyes. Sure, she had made mistakes in the past but that didn't mean she could change it, it was all part of the past and being in the past forever was a foolish thing. She purred as she watched Circa come up to her. "Good to be back, Captain Circa." she said with a grin. If only you knew Circa.. she thought sadly as she remembered when before she left, Bacardi and Draco had beaten her to a pulp and Cassius, Cocaine's son had saved her. Despite Cassius and she's quarrels.. hopefully they would become friends again. She nodded to Kazbek, referring that she understood and saw one of her sons, Estavan staring at her, was he furious or was he in shock?
She nodded to him with a casual smirk, "Hello, son." she said simply as her gaze was relaxed yet slightly troubled at the thought of the red BloodBeast did not approve of her departure.. she rolled her eyes. He would just have to deal with it. She now turned to the captain. "So, my friend. What have I missed? Nothing bad, I hope?" she said with a slightly concerned gaze, looking around to see Edmund and their siblings. "Hey.. where's Brynneth?" she said with a concerned gaze.

Cassius had leaned forward in an attempt to listen in on the conversation. His ear was keen to the sounds of voices below, but they weren't talking very loud. He flinched when Iarri joined them and looked at her suspiciously. What gave her reason to think that? That was their mother down there. He expected her cubs' reactions to be more like that of Kazbek's. He hadn't expected any of them to join him. Though.. he supposed it was sort of the same idea. Left behind by Caylis. He relaxed, more accepting of the females presence. He tensed up again as Kodiac came and went, but soon turned his attention back to Fracture. He nodded in agreement to the being he had become acquainted with through mutual dislike for joyful situations. A cold chuckle escaped him as he looked over, then back down at the scene. "A pleasing sight indeed. Glad I was a witness." Perhaps it brought him a little bit of satisfaction due to personal hostilities, but at least he wasn't alone in the feeling. He sat down and observed as a few more friends and relatives gathered.

Iarri Kannon
The red 'ess offered her father a smile but he didn't seem much in the mood for happiness. Instead she watched him go and then turned back to the scene and paying attention to the males. Eyes watched as Kaz moved away from Caylis. He looked her way but instead of coming over he went elsewhere, a look of.. was that disgust? Anger suddenly filled her. What the hell did he expect. He and their brother had Kodiac. She did as well but a girl needed a mother. And Caylis had neglected Iarri that right. There were things a girl just couldn't talk to her brothers or father about. No, Caylis had left Iarri for something else. Had broken the cub's heart and now here were others, greeting the Hollow. Did none of them care? But Iarri didn't make a big deal about it. She wasn't completely left in the dark. Viciado was not only her teacher but she also fell into the roll of female role model for the Kannon daughter. Iarri respected that the healer had her own family so she never made it known how she felt about the older female. Viciado had taught Iarri that life was short and cruel but could also be beautiful. So perhaps in time Iarri would find the heart to forgive Caylis, but for now she only watched silently. Enjoying, in a small way, the fact that her two temporary companions held the same basic feelings she did.
