ARETA, TEAR, FARRAH, HAGAN
--
This takes place when the cubs can walk and talk. They're still in the Veldt, hidden from the world but soon they'll go the camp and meet everyone. Timeline is wonky, I know, just.. play pretend. eue

Merlette
The dark cub shifted under the dry grass of the den, it was dusty, the dry earth disturbed during her movement floated past her nose. Rearing up quickly, her head tilted back, further..further and then flew forwards with an odd wheezing sound. The sneeze left her feeling a bit light headed from it's ferocity.
After a few moments had past, Merlette rose and stretched. All familiar faces, all seeming more or less some degree of excited or bored. She herself was somewhere in between, content...but it was wearing thin. The same day after day activities in the den were dull and monotonous. From the outside, she caught a glimpse of movement and crouched, stalking towards the mouth of the den, the colorful wings of a butterfly greeted her. Waggling her haunches, the cub stuck her ears back as she observed the odd creature.

The first months of the young male's life had been spent in a secluded den in the Shadow Veldt. It had began like anyone else's; his birth- free of complications, his cubhood- a routine of staying close to his birthplace. His cubhood, however, was far from over. So began the adventure. Anything besides staying in the den qualified as adventure to Toberon. The adventure, really, was anything outside of the routine. Interactions were limited to siblings, mothers, and "cousins." Sometimes one of them would leave, but where would they go? The outside world seemed to hold infinite possibilities. Mother would go out.. and come back with things he had never seen before? The only things he had ever known were gathered from Areta, Tear, and whatever scents or objects came back with them when they left. The young cub sat at the end of the entrance of the den, looking out into the world in search for Areta. The breeze picked up, and the den opening created a slight tunnel of wind. Dark blue hair was blown back and a shiver shook Toberon's sandy fur. He was quick to be on his paws, as he was now chilly and staring out the den was no longer sufficient entertainment. He bounded to his mother and siblings. "When can we go?" he chirped, sounding as if he was almost demanding some answers. "Where is Miss Whitey! Will she bring us? It's time, right?" He stretched out his small paws to kneed at his mother's shoulder. Toberon wouldn't have known any difference between his siblings and Areta's litter. They all seemed the same in his eyes. They sounded the same, they acted the same, they almost looked the same.. They were all cubs! The titles of "aunt" and "cousin" were probably things he would refer them as through his life. It seemed natural. In fact, Toberon had lived his first few weeks with the idea that he had two mothers.. and many siblings. This understanding wouldn't come until later, but later was now. Now he was equipped with the ability to think logically and socially, plus walk, and talk; Toberon rarely let these new skills of his go to waste. He was an active cub with the idea that he had much to share with the creatures of the world, as they did with him. Today was the day.

Clowd will have Callimine posted when she can.
Delirious Faire-Xeiroz
Where there was once grass was now only dirt; a small line packed down firmly from the daily pacing of an anxious male. Ever since Tear had become heavy with cubs the beast was sure that they were his. Though the two parents had no real connections there was now a feeling of protectiveness over the 'ess. Ears twitched and eyes flickered up to spot the white one, Areta. It would seem that she and Tear had had their litters together. It was not a strange thing. In fact it was an excellent idea to Delirious. He stopped pacing and waited. Never had he approached the den, he stayed a safe distance back. It was from that distance that he waited. Waiting for the day when the cubs would be old enough to finally be introduced to others. Delirious occasionally went out of his way to try and help which ever mother decided to exit the secluded "nursery" and hunt. In the beginning he had offered to do all the hunting, but was understandably denied. The females needed to stretch their legs. Yellowed orbs followed the pale 'ess expectedly. If she wanted his help she would let him know. If the cubs were ready she would let him know. If not, then she would leave him to his continuous pacing. He would not leave unless called upon by his superiors. One of his children now lived without him. These cubs never would. Delirious was going to make damn sure of it.

Renita Alkaev
The little brown cub woke to the sound of Toberon's pleading to his mother, and she gave a quick yawn before becoming mobile almost instantly at the curious thought; so quick a rise it even made her dizzy momentarily and she wavered a bit in going. It never took her long to wake up anyway, yet today and a few days preceding the cubs had become restless in the cave, talk of being shown the world sparked it- and Toberon's mention of getting out was what made her little legs kick start this particular morning. Giving a brief look to her siblings, all quiet, she hopped past them and into the other litter, wedging herself in as if she belonged; right beside Toberon and his siblings, ready to ask the obvious question. "Is it really the day? Is it? I wanna explore!" She chirped excitedly, climbing up onto the little male as she said it, as if she were pretending he was a very small, mewing mountain.

Raegan Alkaev
Having just finished up a small patrol and check of the borders and some subordinates, the dark male began to walk head over to where he expected to see his and Delirious' cubs. It had been a little while since they had been born, but the male had not been able to find the time to have a meet and greet with his new family until now. His shoulders carried no worries and no stress with his time apart from them. Areta had been a mother before, she was a tough female, both of them were. Walking at a calm, smooth pace, coming up on the area emerald eyes set on Delirious first and he stopped few tail lengths away. He said nothing and only watched for a moment before shaking his head, the young male had made a trail of dirt with his obviously constant pacing. Just how long had he been out here? Walking forwards once more the demonic gave a small sigh followed by an inaudible chuckle before he would step right in the tan male's way and stop. "Delirious, quit your pacing and fretting, you're making me nervous." He gave him a small nudge "Congratulations, now stop worrying. Both Tear and Areta are more than capable of handling themselves right now. They're two of the strongest females I know." He assumed that was what the young male had got himself so worked up over. "I myself have not actually met the cubs yet. Lets go take a peek shall we? Granted I don't get some claws to the nose." The lord walked over and lowered his head before sticking it into the den to get down to more the cub's eye level and not seem so big. "Hello, how is everyone in here?" He probably wouldn't be recognized as their father unless told, so he kept his approach slow and calm. [/blockquote]

TEAR, ARETA, FARRAH, HAGAN
[/i] She said. Hagan was listening.. though only partially. Merlette had found something interesting and he wanted to see too! He crept forward and was prepared to pounce when a figure he'd never seen before in his life appeared. And as slowly as he crept forward, he crept back toward his mother, Areta. Though she didn't seem too worried. The cubs were older and she didn't believe that Raegan was about to eat any of the cubs. "Good. We'll be right out." She said and then added on, "Alright, everyone stay around us, Tear and I will lead you out and you can explore. Just stay within our sights. The first two males you'll meet are your fathers, they'll keep you safe." Or they better, she thought to herself and nodded to Tear whom nodded back. Farrah and Hagan both got up and ready for the big reveal into the world.[/ul][/blockquote]

Toberon became even more restless at Renita's own excitement as well as the confirmation of his mother. His head whipped around and eyes momentarily flashed to Areta and then down at the hare, but his enthusiasm overpowered his hunger. "Yay! When we go, I want to see it like how you see it!" The small male anchored his paws in Tear's fur and tried to push himself upwards onto her back, but Renita's scrambling proved to increase the difficulty of this simple task, and Toberon found that he couldn't lift both of them. "Up! Up..!" The cub was very determined, but it didn't take long for him to tire of this energy-consuming activity. He slumped to the ground. As everyone else prepared to leave the den, Toby's energy was quick to replenish. He was on his paws once again. "Renita will be my exploring buddy!" He mewed. She was as good as a sibling, plus she seemed equally excited to meet their fathers and the outside world. "Okay, I'm ready," he then declared, turning to the entrance. At the sight of Raegan, the cub leapt backwards and let out a surprised gasp. He hadn't been paying attention, and certainly hadn't expected to see someone there. Was that him, their father?

Delirious Faire-Xeiroz
A soft snarl of surprise slipped from the lighter male's maw, he hadn't expected to see anyone to block his way;especially his dominant. Standing a bit straighter, Delirious flattened his ears briefly in apology. "Forgive me.. I suppose I allowed my newness at fatherhood to get the better of me." Though he was not a new father exactly, this was his first time actually fathering, and it was a bit embarrassing being caught with his guards down. A more relaxed smirk was offered to Raegan as Del proceeded to follow the Demonic to the dens. The Quix mutt stood a few paw steps back, if Raegan wanted to risk a claw to the eye so be it. But the sandy pelted beast couldn't help but lash his tail and flick his ears with clear excitement.

Renita Alkaev
The little ball of brown fluff giggled in anticipation at the words, jumping off Toberon and hopping around him as Tear and her mother spoke. "How exciting!" She chirped and gave Toby a happy cuff as they claimed eachother exploration buddies, but her paws skidded to a halt as a much deeper tone entered her little home and droned within it, making Toby leap in surprise as well. Immediately her pelt fluffed up as she faced the culprit- what a deep voice! She exclaimed within her mind, never hearing an older male's voice within earshot before. Though Renita was perplexed for a moment to stare at the male, Areta's words made her even more curious. As the two stood in close proximity, she wondered, Is that father? I kinda look like them! Then she passed a look to Toby, or is that his daddy?
The wide-eyed, brown cub cocked her head, looking from demonic to demonic, wondering- before she decided to break away from her exploration buddy for a moment to investigate. She cautiously walked up to the male and puffed up for effect, but looked more eager than aggressive. "Who're you?" She squeaked, giving a meek attempt at a growl.

Merlette
The small brown cub froze at the sight of the two approaching males, hurrying back into the den through her mother's legs and diving under some of the dry grass of the den. Peering out, it seemed no one was afraid. Even so, she hunkered down.
So one of these males was her father? She narrowed her eyes in thought, why were they just now seeing them?

Toberon's wide eyes flickered from his newly proclaimed exploring buddy to the dark figure that towered before them both. His fur prickled as he puffed out his chest, showing his dauntlessness when it came to protecting his denmates. He didn't entirely entirely feel the need to fend off this stranger from them, but he would at least show his bravery and curiosity in the form of his unyielding actions. The only thing to draw him away from this scene was another male lingering in the background. He turned his head to look, his fur lying a little flatter as he strode in that direction. He breathed in deeply, taking in the scents. It was a scent that smelled almost similar to himself and perhaps he could at times pick out on his mother. This was instinct, an untold awareness of his origins that drew him to the lighter colored male. He continued to sniff curiously before tipping his head back enough to look up at Delirious. "Do we know you?" His heart pounded in his chest as he had to step back in order to see up that far. "Are you it?" Toby thought about what kind of things he could see if he was that tall.. He couldn't wait to grow that big! He shuffled his paws in excitement and then stood on the tips of his paws.

Clowd sent this to me via Skype and asked if I'd post it on here. She just got a new job and will be starting college soon so she's a bit busy.
[6/15/2013 4:26:40 PM] Clowd Lite: When Callimine first opened her eyes she was terrified, but that fear was nothing to the fear she felt now. Her siblings and her "mothers" were all she knew, all she wanted to know. Her little mind just couldn't comprehend the idea of parents other than Areta and Tear. Both were her mothers and her fathers. They fit the roll well enough. Absent mindedly she had followed Merlette into the pile of leaves that lingered in the corners of the den. Wide eyes peered out at Raegan's large face. Ears perked to her brother as he dared to exit the safety of their home.
Delirious Faire-Xeiroz A step backward was taken as a small body emerged to plant itself in front of the larger male. In all truthfulness this little cub made Delirious even more nervous and anxious than he ever was while pacing. What would this boy think of him? It was obvious this little male was his son. The similarities were undeniable. Would he be disappointed if the big mutt confirmed the cub's question? In the end Del gave a nod while a smirk crept over his face. Warmth flooded his features as he lowered himself to the ground, putting his face more level with his son. "Indeed I am." Words were spoken softly, so as not to startle the youth.

(I'm gonna go ahead and say the cubs are all a little older now and that they've met their prides and what not.)
