Najisi Kain Somewhere in the dead and rocky landscape paced a lone creature. Grey fur blended nicely into the ashen scenery and the white underbelly helped to break up her form as smoke sputtered from the land itself. The beast was a very round Najisi. Stressed and worried the ess paced. This new homeland held no safe places for her. But she didn't have a choice. She dragged herself pretty far from camp, as most lions would do. There, she found a smooth surface to lay on. A small victory but a welcome one. Najisi settled down, her hind turned onto her side and her front upright. Waiting as pains crashed through her. Her first set of contractions. ------------------------------- Time passed and the birth held little complications. Despite all her stress and worry, all her cubs were healthy it seemed. She had cleaned them and made sure they sat at her belly. Finally she could rest. Though paranoia nagged at her. She could almost feel Meurtrier's eyes upon her and her cubs. Perhaps it was simply because she was alone and away from the safety of Reno and La Morte. But things had been bothering her. That deal with the demon... Grenade's approach.. There was still way too many things left in the open for her to feel secure.

Zenith
Her first minutes into the world were a natural, confusing spiral of movement and instinct, warmth and hunger. Both of these things were sated by her mother's milk and presence, and so soon she felt the first claws of sleep skittering along her mind, dragging it down to a quiet darkness. So young, so very blind to her fate, much less the world around her. The very tethers of her soul were unlike her parents though her shell could easily be seen as relative, and soon enough it would become quite apparent. Stealin' kah's layout until I make Zen her own template, because it looks nice and simple.

Sinna Kain
The little ball of fluff sneezed in the wake of her first breath, oh what a horrible feeling that was! Her whole body flung with it, and she let out a loud after mew of high distaste. There was warmth, yes, her mother, and food. But there was dust, so much of it, that it made her cough slightly. She shoved her little face into the fur of her mother's belly to rid of it, though it didn't help much. Still, the food was what covered her mind most, and she sought to suckle every last drop, at least- in a cub's mind.

Vaska Suldan-Kain
A little grey ball of fur moved for the first time, as he began to breathe and realise that he wasn't with the safety of his mother anymore. He was outside. In a brand new world. Full of noise. Weird sensations. After one of his siblings gave out a loud mew, he did too, to signal that he still wanted to be close and still feel safe and most importantly, be nourished with food. Whether or not he realised it, he was hungry. Following suit of his sister, the little cub moved alongside his sister, little mews still calling out softly, before he found his mother's belly.

Najisi Kain The ess was exhausted. The heat of this place hadn't helped to calm her either. She panted softly, slowly coming out of the birth trance. All cubs were either at her belly or worming about. She kept an eye on the little movers, not letting them wiggle too far from her. She was so overly protective and paranoid, she barely noticed Reno's approach. At first she growled, only hearing pad falls on the stone. Her threat ceased when his form came to view. It was just Reno. A relief. Even though he was not these cubs' father, and they were sired by an enemy of his, she trusted him to not hurt them. This was partly why they left. One of the many reasons they branched off of Meurtrier. Gently, she dipped her head in respect and motioned him forward.

RENO DONOVAN
[/i] He glanced around.. Volcano. No place to welcome cubs into the world. And yet for a while Meurtrier had done just that. If they could do it, so could La Morte. But this only seemed to make him more eager to find them a better home.. he would discuss it with Najisi later. For now, she had cubs. But another matter that soon came to mind was.. were these cubs true royalty for La Morte? They were Ceon's, not Reno's. But they were Najisi's.. they would be treated as loyalty. It was.. only fair.[/ul][/blockquote]

Najisi Kain The ess looked over her young. Six in total. Large litter. They all appeared healthy but how long would that last? Each breath was like being in a room full of lit cigarettes. For now the ash itself wasn't so bad. She was well enough away from the volcano. "Six healthy cubs. For now at least." She sighed and looked back to Reno. Guilt plagued her. Almost she regretted bedding Ceon. It all seemed so stupid now. So weak.. How could she let herself become so vulnerable? Let a male push her into such pain and desperation as Funeral had? Her father would shun her if he knew. "Reno? Are you alright? You seem as though something is bothering you." Najisi asked. She had caught a slight hint of his feelings. Normally she'd have let it go but.. They needed each other. There had to be trust between them. No secrets. OOC: YAY I CAN REPLY AGAIN.
