A rather large, strange creature was submerged in the pool by the dens. It had not yet lifted itself from the water, and had remained there for the better part of an hour. The tip of his dorsal fin poked out of the water, indicating something was there. A long, finned tail occasional moved wildly, forcing water over the gills on both his neck and ribs so he could breathe more easily. The creature resembled a shark that had been bred with feline somehow. There were quite a few mysteries surrounding this beast, and attempts to pry answers from him usually only further confused those who tried.
Finally, the creature stood, blinking bright azure eyes. The strange tail sway behind him and he drew in air through the nostrils at the end of his pointed snout. The only hair to be found on him was the ebony mane that hung in eyes and formed a crest on his neck. His long ears were pierced many times, and if he were to open his mouth, one would also realize his tongue had a bar in it as well. He strode from the water and his hand-like front paws tore at the grass. The claws at the end of each digit did not retract very well. Ear turned as he heard the soft scuttling of rat feet. It went down the land shark’s maw right away, rows of pointed teeth killing it swiftly. Corvette then looked about curiously, feeling watched.
(If you haven't looked at the art thread, I drew Corvette. He looks like this. I'll have better image later.)

When anyone is faced with something new and almost unreal, they have one of three reactions. They either run from it, attack it, or take the curious approach which is to investigate it. Heroin, never being one to run from a situation even if her life was on the line, and not being stupid enough to run head first into battle with something whose teeth she just caught sight of, took the curious approach.
Slowly, she moved closer and closer, eventually planting herself on the ground with her tail flicking behind her. Her tail's flicking was almost automatic now - a natural here i am to any pride members who were looking for her. It was an evolutionary tool to be used when in the long grasses, so she could remain hidden but still be a beacon of a beast to anyone who spotted her.
"What are you?" The question was not one you would ask most animals you had just met, especially ones so large, but Heroin was as confident as she was cocky and she was sure she could take this male on. "I've never seen a fucker like you before. You new here? Aint been around when I have, thats for sure."

Corvette’s pierced ears flicked back as he heard the footsteps of another creature. It appeared that he had lifted an eyebrow and he turned to face the red female. Her demeanor intrigued him and a sly grin appeared on his gray lips. He rolled his broad shoulders experimentally, his muscles loose as per usual. He was always ready for action. Of course, what kind of action that was depended entirely on her. He took no offense to her rude words, as he was not a very polite individual himself. “Well, what do ya think I am? Ain’t a cat, am I?” he retorted. “I wouldn’t feel very special if you had seen someone like me before. Let’s just say I’m a land shark.” His grin became very coy as he got closer to her. His talons raked across the turf as he dragged his feet. “I’m new, babe. Of course, you probably don’t pay attention to much, do ya?” The four pairs of gills on his neck flared a bit before closing again. “I’d go into more detail with what I am, but the lot of you don’t seem to sharp, you least of all,” he laughed, hoping to get a rise out of her. He enjoyed antagonizing individuals like herself. “I’m Corvette. Got a lotta nicknames, but most of ‘em are rude, so I’ll spare ya. Who might you be?”

For every insult thrown her way, Heroin's response was physical and immediate. Her tail would flick, she would tilt her head, and her claws constantly retracted and sheathed, but she didn't rise to it. She had a temper, sure, but the male in front of her offered her an opportunity to do something she never usually did: play.
She turned her body so that her side was facing him, the white tuft of her tail flicking against her flank as she pulled her lips back in a smile and rose her head slightly in a subtle challenge. "I think," She began, walking around him with her ears fanned forward in curiosity. "Yer an idiot or somethin'. A lean, mean, twat machine." She chuckled and turned to the side, walking a few feet away from him.
"Y'see, motherfucker, I get mah looks from m'daddyo, so we can blame 'im for tha'. Don't let tha' fool ya though, sweetie," She sat down and raised her back leg, scratching behind her ear. "I aint as dumb as I make out. S'just funner this way." She lifted and dropped her shoulders in a shrug, then put her leg back on the ground and looked him up and down. "Corvette? S'a bit posh for ya, mate. I'm Heroin."

Despite the fact that Corvette’s skill was mostly involved water, he was not able to back down from a fight, even the possibility of one. Though, this one was just verbal, and he doubted it would come to blows. While shark and feline seemed most prevalent in his DNA, he also shared the blood of dolphins and thus was incredibly intelligent, though he did not flaunt it. He was not very fond of dolphins. They really annoyed him. And thanks to those segments on his genes, he could not breathe underwater indefinitely, a weakness he would keep secret. “If I knew what twat was, I might be inclined ta take offense,” he laughed. He swiped his tail through the water and his caudal fin splashed quite a bit of water at her, possibly soaking her.
“Yer dad’s red too? Guess that can’t be of much use hunting, eh? Course, most prey is colorblind… Won’ go into too much detail, lest I go over your head. Anyways, it’s a kinda ship. Something you land lovers need ta get across the larger bodies of water.” He tilted his head and chuckled at her name. “Yer parents name ya after a drug?” He rolled his eyes a bit before he noticed something was swooping down upon them. “Oh shit,” he grunted, about to go for the water before he realized he was not aggressive. Blood flushed his face, making his gray features have a warmer hue. “Krankheit? That German?” He tilted his head to the side. “I’m of a rare breed, babe. Seems like the lot of you dye yer fur or something. Red a common theme here?” He shrugged his shoulder. “Ask away. I’d be offended if ya weren’t at least a little curious.” The fact that he was so unique had save him a few times. People often approached him with curiosity first when he accidentally trespassed. He was not terribly strong, or really fast, but he was smart and he could swim. He had a few advantages, but he knew that the day he grew too cocky would be his last. But he had the image of something of a jerk to maintain. He could not let everyone know he was still trying to train up. They could not know how much learning he still had ahead of him.

Kururu
The brown male was bounding along the Vedlt, searching for something interesting to do. Maybe harass someone else, it was different now with Method gone.He usually annoyed him, but whatever he'd find another sibling to replace him with. And speaking of sibling, there was one now! Heroin! She was much older then him and would probably shun him away but that didn't matter because it would only give him more of a reason to annoy her! "kukukuku!" he waltzed in with no shame in his game, and stopped abruptly as Heroin had water flying in her direction. He moved to the side avoiding it. "Well aren't you a sight to behold! I'm sure these two have already told you that." he walked around the side, taking a good look at him to examine the sleek skin on him, still wet from the water and that tassel of a mane. Yes, yes. He looked quite delicious. "Since were asking questions, I gotta ask. Do you taste the way you look? By that I mean like a fish." his tongue came out, overlapping around his mouth to moisten it with a hungry look in his eyes. There was nothing Kururu wouldn't at least try, including this guy.

Though she was less than impressed by the amount of water now caught in her fur, Heroin only responded by shaking as much of it out as she could, then turning her head to look at her brother. "Oi," She flicked her head, her wet mane spiking up in different directions. "Kururu, y'wanna back ya little ass up 'fore sharkboy over here eats ya?" He was going to be taking the brunt of her frustration if her temper flared, poor sod.
She turned to the winged beast and scowled, the tuft of fur on her tail flicking with irritation. "Aint nobody askin' you, man." Finally her attention was back on the landshark, and she began to walk around him again, ears fanned forward and her tail flicking behind her whenever she made a complete circle. "Special lil' snowflake, aren'tcha?"

KRANKHEIT DONOVAN
[/s] The red-winged male fluffed his wings at his side closely and tilted his head. German. He recalled it a few times. Though it never really occurred to him that his name, in itself, was actually another language. This stranger seemed a little too comfortable with how he spoke and this put an odd strain on Krankheit. “I’m of a rare breed, babe. Seems like the lot of you dye yer fur or something. Red a common theme here?”"It's in our genetics. It has been for a very long time." He stated. Then his attention turned to Kururu and Heroin, amused by the siblings. Although Heroin was the older one, from a litter before if his memory served him right. "Since were asking questions, I gotta ask. Do you taste the way you look? By that I mean like a fish.""What're you gonna' do, eat him?" He asked with a chuckle. Though the idea itself seemed.. tempting? Krankheit admitted to himself that he was curious as well. Taste like fish.. or cat? He turned to Heroin and rolled his eyes. "I know. Wasn't answering a question, was making a statement about your speech." [/ul][/blockquote]

“Wait, so what is a twat?” he asked. Corvette was quite serious. It was not a word he’d heard before in his region. This brown, spotted male amused him, though. He strode up to the younger individual with a crazed grin on his face simply for effect. “You can try to take a bite, kid,” he said, azure eyes focused on him, pupils constricted to pin pricks, as the sun was in his eyes, “But I do bite back. And I’ve got a few more teeth than you. ‘S why I sound a lil’ weird when I talk. Sharks ain’t got mouths fer talkin’. They got mouths fer eatin’ and killin’ things.” He then stepped back and laughed. It was apparent that he was just messing with the teen. He did not take him all that seriously. “I’m curious how a lotta things taste, but that’s because I have a real bad appetite. I also got a problem with the smell o’ blood. It’s a shark thing, but I’d like it if you spread the word. Sorta makes me go a bit crazy…” The male was a bit ashamed of that fact, but others had to know for both their own safety and his. “Ya see, real sharks tend to go a bit crazy at the scent of blood. They go into a sorta feeding frenzy and attack everything, though necessarily eat it… Or so I was told. But when I’m hungry and I smell blood, or there is a lotta blood around me, I do something similar.” He did not want to go into more detail on that. It was a dark subject. It was not as if he would turn into some super powered monster, but he knew that he always pushed his limits when he did so because when he came to, he would always feel incredibly sore. He had a feeling it cause an extended adrenaline rush and nullified most negative feedback in his nervous system. He’d found boulders shifted and half eaten carcasses of more creatures than he thought he could take on. Usually, he would wake up in some source of water, maybe at the bottom of a river.
Corvette suddenly realized he had totally zoned out. “Oh! Sorry, was just thinkin’ about… Stuff.” If they had asked him a question in that period of time, it would have to be repeated.

Kururu
His mouth watered as the water demon approached him closer, he could taste the fish already and was so tempted to just spread his jaws and take a snap. He licked around his mouth, the spit dripping from his tongue, the hunger obvious in his eyes. And at the offer, how could he resist? His mouth began to open, exposing his teeth. He snapped at him, but by then he had already moved backwards and was laughing. Going on about so and so. It annoyed Kururu and he wanted to rush back in for another bite. He went against it though, not wanting to ruin the others fun. He couldn't care much, but it'd be much more fun to wait it out and see where he could get a good bite from.
