I'm just curious about your characters, that's all. What's your tallest one? How much do they weigh? Smallest?
I like looking at well developed characters. Though I've a strong pet peeve for way OP / over powered / characters. I, myself, would like to develop a character that's rather large but within reason; or has an excuse. Perhaps a growing disability; I'm not sure.
I guess I'm just interested in how you guys decide information/size/personality/weight/etc on your characters.
Are they from the old IT days, so their information is limited because we were all noobs from IT and never bothered to look up information on actual species? |D

Are you kidding me, I do so much research for my characters! ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) Hepsut was inspired by a statue of the Egyptian goddess Bastet (her name is taken from Hathepsut, an unusual female pharoah and one of the most successful rulers in ancient egyptian history) She never really resembled a lion, she is based on Maus and little big cats although more recently I think she suits cougars. Apparently a lot of the cats on this site are six foot at the shoulder? Or are they six foot nose to base of the tail? Hepsut's itty bitty in comparison ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Her small stature is a result of small parents and possibly some inbreeding (why do you think she's white?). Her children are slightly bigger because of their fathers. Not sure if that was of any interest to anyone but that's my reasoning and I'm sticking to it! Some things to remember are: large characters are not as agile, if they grow too quickly when they're young they can really suffer from joint problems.

Well, I'll be damned, a lot more to Hepsut than I had imagined! I really like the information on her and I think that's a damn creative way to develop a character.
It really wasn't until I started playing TEF did I start to do more research on all of my characters, species, etc. Things that interested me, that fit with them, etc.
As for size, well, can't speak for anyone else but Cocaine's a giant. 7.5 / 8 Feet at the shoulder. Now I'm not sure about from nose to tail tip because that's apart of his structure I really have gone and figured out yet, or done more research on. Same for his weight. I don't want him being disproportional. But he is a rather large beast. Contribution to that likely comes from what I figure is the vampire blood in him, from his mother.
Not sure if he's my biggest character, though. Definitely one of them.

She's probably one of the oldest characters I've kept. Four years old, five this summer, like Sins. Do you feel old, Kah? I met you four years ago, darlin'. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) I've always enjoyed reading, and more nerdily, I like research. I put a hell of a lot of effort into my characters these days. I'm not 100% happy with Hepsut but I keep her more or less the way she was because of sentiment. I only ask about height because in body length (excluding the tail), eight feet would be about right for a realistic lion or tiger. Eight feet at the shoulder however is elephantine. You can see my confusion! xD To be proportionate to the Meurtrier giants, Hepsut's probably twice the size of an african lion. She's much smaller than that in my head though. -Zoology student apparently knows shit for once-

Haha, you betcha. xD I turn 19 this year, so hard to believe. Four years is so much longer than it sounds.
You know sometimes I find myself looking back on BONE and Scourge and considering bringing them back under some new alias and redeveloping their characters completely -- but in a way I almost want to leave them as they were. Funny how things go.
.. Right. WOOPS. I think I need to reconsider fathead's size then. Maybe bring him down t 6 at the most. Seems more reasonable. Ahah. Still places him as a giant. Er, maybe 5 feet. Something I need to reconsider now. ROFL. Soo much to considerrr.

I usually find a human-comparison chart for mine, like the one in TEF (that is very very useful by the way) to chart all my characters in comparison to a human male and other characters. That's how I get a good visual for their size.
My largest character is by far Walter Sullivan (whom is described as abnormally large in comparison to some others, but exact measurements I've never calculated completely) though he doesn't flaunt around his size anyway nor is he aggressive, and it is not something that will be likely passed down to his children.
I like to add realism to it, but I also like to think that this is a fantasy world, and we don't necessarily have to completely bound to strict logic at all times, but only wander so far out of the boundaries- at least until it gets just plain silly.
but dayum Cocaine is one big mutha

I also like to do size comparisons. Of late, I've had a tendency towards average sizes. I have to keep certain ones as they were... Bleh... Crazy eleven foot characters. But they was magical... so yeah... But except for dragon, I don't go over seven feet. But weight is important too. Looking into evolution should help, and don't be afraid to dabble in dinosaurs. Just be careful with the DBA. Don't use frog DNA... Or problems.
