Critically Endangered Species!
The dragons didn't go extinct. They evolved, merged and breed into different animals to avoid there inevitable extinction. Through trial and error many species like lions, wolves and deer were tested to see which species was best suited to the magical behemoths, some species reacted poorly to there dragon blood, organs and meet a very painful demise. Yet through these trials some very unlikely suitors showed incredible compatibility results. The Lynx, though not the biggest or toughest of animals proved to be the most physically and mentally able species for the dragons of old to merge with. The dragons deemed these Lynxes The Pyraisari, a name that has initially no meaning but great purpose.
Though many thousands of years have passed by since these trials and the Dragons have all but died and disappeared there power and blood still live on in the small number of Pyraisari that live today though there numbers dwindle less than the common normal lynx which do not share there great bloodline, these hardly menacing looking felines are sure to surprise anyone.
Behaviours:
Pyraisari make up for there small size with there big hearts and big personality's, also there incredibly magical abilities which are tied to the natural elements Air,Earth, fire ect. A Pyraisari can only be born with one element of power, remember they descend from ancient magical beasts who are hailed for there devastating abilities.
There are no limits to how your Pyraisari can behave they are mostly solitary and like to form prides with other bigger species or there own.
Reproduction:
Female's usually come into heat once a year and stays in heat for 1 week. They will give birth to a large litter of up to 6. However the cub's will suffer a high morality rate of course.
Everything elese regarding breeding is fairly similar to every other species except for one simple fact regarding a mother and her newborns.
For every cub a female has a part of her elemental power goes to the cub/s in there early development of being in her womb, this does not weaken the mother as she can regain her lost power through rest but it can be dangerous to the newborns as depending to how susceptible the father species is depends on not only the cubs survival but also how much power that cub will have inherited through there life. It is highly possible for a cub to be born with no power of the mothers at all, the cub may not have reacted at all to the mothers element and remained completely healthy.
If a male and female Pyraisari breed the cubs will always inherit the mother's element of power and not the fathers. This will in turn also affect the cubs eye color as they are linked to the element they are born with.
Appearance:
[Example of a random Male Pyraisari, with long tale dorsal marking and spots]
Pyraisari are often described as looking very much like a Lynx but slightly bigger. They are a smaller sized species in comparison to some for example female can only reach the maximum in-game size of 1.1 where as males are always smaller and only get to the max size of 1. Half-breed's do not count of course.
They range in mostly browns,creams,golds,tans,oranges,blacks,whites and greys with the underbelly alwasy beign lighter than the pelt color. There eye colors link back to the type of element they are linked to. The more Vibrant the eye color, the more powerful the Pyraisari is.
Examples:
Fire = red or orange
Water or Ice = blue or turquoise
Earth = green or brown
Air or Lightning = purple/yellow or white
ect.ect.
The upper eye in the species are perhaps the best thing that help disguised themselves from others, as the upper eye of a Pyraisari is actually the only part of the body that have small snake like scales. Because of this the upper eye color can be essentially any color including bright neons. Scales only appear otherwise on a Pyraisari if they have inherited wings, which are extremely rare. In this case the wings will match a dragon's in designs and the wing bone will be coated in the scales matching there upper eye.
Leucism, Melanism and Albinism are very rare but can happen.

The only difference between a Male & Female Pyraisari via appearance besides the females being taller is that Males grow very long tufts, causing them to look bulkier or fluffier in appearance.
