(srsly it is a very beautiful and readable font) sambaches sabaache over the following weeks i'll update and fix up the grammar and wording of this thread, it probably will trigger my interest for this forum a bit more, so be patient :B but the thread is open as it is. WISDOM BE WITH HER, WE LIVE FOR THE HUNT
Nine moons shine upon the heavenly temples. Gods who's names are unknown to us sing their songs of good spirit, and the huntress; our beloved with her pursuers await their award. For many years they worked like slaves, for many years they hunted well, for many years they fulfilled their deed to them; the very ones who created them, the now forgotten gods of our world. This was the night they would claim their reward, their gift for uncountable ages of work.
No gold or silver would they gain, treasure had no meaning to such a humble beast. The huntress wished for a far more meaningful gift. This gift was freedom for her pursuers; her children and loyal followers, they had to be free. It was a gift the gods gladly gave to their creation that served them so well over the many years. So it was granted.
The emerald pursuers left their heavenly homeland for the soft soil of the land below. They had no use for wings, they left them with the gods like their immortality. Only wisdom, dexterity, vigor and longlivity did they bring with themselves. They now worked for their own, and only themselves, no duty to be done to another, they would do so only to their silver huntress in the sky. It was now their time to grow big as a race with a fruitful future ahead. |

| THE BEAUTIFUL EMERALDS
They are a type of Guardian feline; Panther: strong, muscular and colourful. The Emeralds come in various vibrant hues of greens, patterned with ornamental markings while their eyes are of a striking violet colour. Their tails and eyes come in various shapes and down their neck runs a mane that tends to be trimmed in various styles. Their small paws tend to have longer, flexible fingers, one of which works as a thumb.
THE WISE EMERALDS
One of their strongest studies are those of math, astrology and medicine. Other minor courses which were not as well looked upon were: philosophy, metallurgy and literature. With those studies they produced accurate calendars, brilliant architects, renowned crafters and two different types of writing systems. Males tend to meddle with studies far more often than females.
THE SOCIAL EMERALDS They are highly social and tend to live in either smaller hamlets, poor communities, big towns or around rich temples. None are ever truly alone, despite there being vagabonds and loners within those communities. The leader of a single group is called the head Matriarch who is always an elder or adult female. Males and females have different roles in society and tend to live separated. This rule does not follow commoners of the low rank.
THE RELIGIOUS EMERALDS
The Emerald panthers worship the Huntress, the female goddess of the wild hunt and moon. Males tend to worship Jer'tarabitu, the essence of the hunted and nature. Some other minor forest deities are worshipped by the more simple living Emerald panthers; local ghost spirits, demigods, saints, ancient forest gods. But they are not part of the main, worshiped pantheon. For worship and sacrality they raised many shrines, temples, moon-pools and monuments.
THE HEALTHY EMERALD PANTHER
Emerald panthers tend to live for thousands of years, usually 10 or 20 thousand, some were known to reach a venerable age of cca 89.000 years. Average shoulder height for females is 170cm while for males it is 190cm. They usually mate for life and on average raise from 5,6 to 7, 11 cubs in their long lifetime, usually due poor sex drive, small litters, cub mortality and poor fertility. A litter is usually 1 to 2 cubs big. Due the more petite hind the females have, bearing more than three cubs is usually fatal. Emeralds tend to have better resistance to diseases, but tend to be affected more commonly with deformities and maladies on bones and skin.

THE CROWN CLASS THE ROYAL
The royals are on the tip of society. The position is sometimes inherited, but tends to belong to the Highest priestess and her consort. The ruler is always a female and she is called an Empress, sometimes Grand Matriarch
THE HOLY CLASS-followers of the light HIGH PRIESTESS
The high priestesses are the governing body of all the sacral emeralds that live under them. They tend to have their own hierarchy with the highest being usually the Empress. High priestesses led important ceremonies, national sacraments and sometimes also governed the fate of their Empire. They were well schooled in the art of (arcane) magic and war. Power strife with the huntresses was not uncommon.
THE COUNCIL OF NINE
A council of nine wise males of the druids and priests. Usually they decided on the future matters of the Empire and helped the Empress with her decisions.
THE HIGH PRIEST
The high priest is the male that was chosen to be the head of all priests, he usually resides in the grand temple of the current capital city. He is usually looked down upon by the High priestesses.
THE PRIESTESS
Spiritual servants to the Huntress. They lead prayers and ceremonies all over the country. They have their own hierarchy and act according to it.
THE PRIESTS
The male counterparts of the priestesses. Highly looked down upon. They tend to be stationed in local temples and shrines to help wanderers or helping and tending to the wound and needy that come to them. Priests are usually only assistants to priestesses. Most commonly also used as scholars, scribes and teachers. FOLLOWERS OF THE HUNTRESS HUNTRESS
Elite warriors and (self proclaimed) only true followers of the huntress. Only the best, wisest and most renowned of the soldiers may join their ranks. They are warlords and always female.
PURSUERS
Pursuers are the right claw of the Huntressess. Only the elite of the fighting stock, male and female is gathered.
SENTRY
Sentries form the bulk of the Emerald guarding forces. Nearly always female. Their job is to watch over, guard and protect their land from foes that come from outside and within their sacred forests that they live in. A warden usually oversees and guides their patrols.
SENTINELS
Trained in the same light as sentries, these are the bulk of the fighting forces. Soldiers to be called in for war, hunt or to track down the wanted. They are the main force used by the Pursuers and Huntresses.
WARDENS
A warden is a highly respected individual, despite their rank having little weight in the hierarchy. They work as the head of sentries where ever protection is needed; prisons, patrols, guard stations.
RANGERS
Rangers are well respected (or hated) warriors that fight in the name of the Huntress. Normally known for being benevolent and peaceful to their forests and at the same time fierce and skilled opponents in battle. Sometimes they are called to the ranks of a band led by a Huntress. THE HEARTH CLASS ARCHDRUIDS
The head druids, always male and usually only a few to only one. They are the protectors of the forests, teachers of (natural) magic.
DRUIDS
A sect of nature praising male Emerald lions. They do not live within cities, nature is where they belong
HEALERS
Healers or also known as menders tend to be stationary doctors in lone hamlets, town and communities that do not have their own temples with priests. They hail from the ranks of the benevolent druids.
WANDERING MAGI
Wandering magi are weird male or sometimes female Emeralds that indulged too much with the spirits living in the forests. Like a vagabond they move from town to town, mend the sickness or perform thaumaturgy. THE LOW CLASS
The low class, or also known as the commoners are all the panthers one would need to properly run a society. Crafters, masons, builders, architects, traders, fishers, farmers and so on.
THE SCUM
The scum for the Emeralds are other species and the ones of their own; rule breakers and renegades, they have to be locked up for their bad-doings forever or sentenced to execution. Emeralds do not hold slaves or prisoners of war. They are to be locked up forever or executed on the spot.

THE FIRST AGE
THE GLORIOUS AGE
IN THE BEGINNINGIn the beginning Emeralds lived a rather simple life, small towns with local, humble temples were scattered around the whole continent that was known to them. Town states were a common sight back then. However strange magical creatures littered the forest, many of which were highly dangerous, and due them over the ages those villages bound together and formed alliances. This was the rule for many thousand years before Matriarch Veyniev bound all those alliances and states under which her kin lived together in one big empire, this was the beginning of the great rise.THE GREAT RISEThe great queen Vayeniev started building bigger cities that overshadowed those small hamlets and villages. She had a great plan for her Empire. Great temples were built to praise the Huntress, and more moon-shrines for the local forest deities. Massive underground complexes, beautiful shrines were all over the place.Vayeiev ordered to build many seaside cities, one of which Azazhantas, the first great capital of the Emerald Empire. The temples were fortified and the order of the high priestesses was called. So they grew for many thousand years.THE WISE QUEENAfter the death of Vayeniev the order of the high priestesses chose one of her daughters to continue her rule. It only felt right to have the wisest choose for the perfect ruler. The chosen one was a wise, peaceful queen by the name Fearin Wydenhide. Her rule was not important in the sense of growth and power, she created the council of nine to help her rule. This was also quite a war-torn age. Many other species sought for the treasures they had, some feline, others not, it only felt as a good idea to secure their territory with many sentries and sentinels, as there was no wall to protect, their enemies came from within their land. As Fearin Wydenhide retired, the queen left her rule to her daughter, Oderisa Wydenhide, who was a high priestess at that time.THE HUNTRESS' CHOSEN ONEThe Emeralds established their culture quite well in the past thousand ages, this was the longest period in their history. Not many good queens ruled over these years. This age began when Oderisa Wydenhide died. The high priestesses decided for a reform, from now on they will choose from their own who would rule, the chosen ones of the Huntress. Many unimportant queens ruled in this age. Teorial Ranin. Mirivel Fatherrun, the one who won many wars. Ayshantas Mizivel, she relocated the capital to Syndirel, the cape of the world. Tanyshaa Irwind. Nyadirin Shaduntas, she relocated the capital to Azrasheena Vanali. And others like Zentis Learindas the brave, Lorenain Azstoras the wise, Kaninil Torintil, Déra Erzhatrum under whose rule they harnessed demons for their use, Heles Vangir the blue and many more. The capital stayed in Azrasheena Vanali for the following ages, and grew in prosperity.
THE WICKED QUEENThe last good queen of the great age, Thar'kan Van'dai passed out at an unfortunate time. Azzhanthas Utrin'morgas assassinated all high priestesses of that time that could hinder her way to the throne, thus she claimed the rule. Her rule was a tyranny, she however didn't rule in a cruel manner. Azzhanthas wanted to reassure her rule to her bloodline and dismissed the High priestesses. All who followed the Huntress called her the forsaken queen.Azzhanthas had a spoiled daughter, she wanted to rule soon, so the three thousand year aged daughter assassinated her mother and claimed the throne. The now called queen was the spoiled daughter Kazha'derias Utrin'morgas. She ruled in a selfish manner, harsh rules and even harsher punishments. The Emeralds suffered under those harsh conditions.Kazha'derias was wedded to a powerful warlock, and with his help she summoned masses of demons to tame and harness the rebelling people. She was too confident however, as demons broke loose from her command and shattered their world. She was not the one that could ever harness a power like this, nor would her spouse. This was their downfall.EXILEThe demons shattered the land, towns were burned, residents were corrupted and slaughtered. A massive wave shattered the cities on the coast and long into the mainland, Azrasheena-Vanali, the once beautiful city lay sunken under the sea with all of its residents. And after weeks of carnage the demons faded away, leaving behind destruction in all the four corners of the world; forests burned, cities collapsed and ruined, many of them sunken, land collapsed and gone, fallen ancient trees... THE SECOND AGE
THE RECOVERY
THE HARDSHIP The Emerald panthers had nothing left, only sadness and grief, all that they knew was gone, their souls have darkened as the war with the demons that shattered them corrupted their souls. The Emeralds from now on grew slightly vile. THE SECOND RISE Under the rubble rose Onire, The old huntress with her twelve remaining pursuant was one of the first that started to recollect the survivors. Separated they could never continue to thrive. Sentries helped to regroup larger masses of emeralds over the whole shattered and lost land. Slowly they started to rebuild their old towns and cities under the leadership of Onire. Their numbers grew slowly, and the Emeralds slowly started to regain their power. Their souls were however forever shattered. Their fur pale and eyes dark green from the vile. Green blood that infested Kazha'Derias and Kani'dee the warlock. After a thousand years many cities were rebuilt, a new capital Theozhana Ohnas, the orders were set again and new high priestesses were chosen and the trusted huntress Onire joined their ranks. And Zeshanai Waterin was picked as the new trusted queen. They continued to recover over the next years before they lived in total peace for the next thousand years. Many other queens ruled the following generations; Rothernis, Tofazha, Azheas, she rebuilt a new capital, a wounded frotress on the tip of the worls, Toduras Morg-uhn. After her many more ruled. The last of all queens was Vanderis El-mona. THE FELL HUNTER & THE DIVINE HUNTRESSThings have settled down, there was still lots of trouble in the forests, the other species that also suffered under the demons have recovered much faster than the Emeralds could ever have. However the sentries and sentinels scattered all over the land held their post well under the many ruins of old temples that were never rebuild.Rezian, also known as Ogir had a lineage of past rulers of the Emerald society, he should've been pure by heart, but no one knew what led him to opening the gates to the demonic planes that set loose the demons again.Odira was but a pursuant at that time, with her right hand Velesteria and a small party of sentinels in her party, she was sent by the order of nine to track Rezian in whatever dimensions he went and stop his madness. She chased him over many months, over many lands, but to no avail as one ever heard of her party again, nor of her success or fail.DEMONIC GREETINGSAs the gates opened and the demonic hoard ran over the now recovered lands, they left nothing untouched behind. The Emerald forces were overburdened, they were even less prepared than they were before. The loss was great, their numbers fell to such numbers from which they could never recover. After the attack was done the demons were pulled back into their planes, what was left was only sorrow and destruction.THE GREAT PURGEThe remaining Emeralds gathered together, there were now few of them, scattered all over the shattered continent that was slowly getting flooded. Ancient forests were in ruin. This was the end of their reignTHE DARK AGETHE BOTTOMLESS ABYSS
A DARK FUTUREEmerald numbers fell ad fell, their society was broken and ruined. All the work they put into it in the second rise was for nothing, they were desperate, some went mad and started to reek havoc under their own, injuring their own even more. And their chance of the future slowly diminished.THE FALLWhatever remaining emeralds started to mix with the local species, passing on their genes to the commoners. Those hybrids formed small 'pure mix' groups and sustained their purity over time, but even those started to get watered down by the other species. Emeralds were never purists, they just never preffered to breed with other species, mostly because they were another species and Emeralds tought of it impossible, which was not true apparently.DESOLATIONThe time of now, pure Emeralds were long gone but their blood resides with mixing in the new generations. Some with a higher percentage, others with a lower, the Emerald blood is still there and always will be, even if it gets strongly watered down, on other cases some mixes resemble their ancient counterparts really well, however maybe not in their pure spirit.
It is still possible to backbreed an emerald in looks.

| THE CULTURE OF THE
EMERALD PANTHER
ARCHITECTURE
Emerald lions modified the land around them to help them travel and build; they made terraces and paved roads and paths. Most Emerald buildings are made out of wood and coated with white loam or mortar and houses are roofed with hay. Some of the most iconic elements of simple Emerald architecture are: carved wooden pillars and beams, carved elements in loam walls, at least two resting rooms and one heath and fireplace. Despite made out of wood, the houses rarely went ablaze... Mostly due the fact that emerald panthers took great care in cleaning their heart. While in more complex architecture of the towns and temples they tend to use the native cold-white and cream stone. The rarer green and violet stones are reserved for great, monumental sacral temples and cities. Complex architecture had the most common elements of: Pillars, arcades, arches, hanging gardens, coffered ceilings, platforms, altars, vaults, sculptures, idols... Due the long time-span of the Emerald reign, it was uncommon to see ruins in-between flourishing towns. In rarer cases coral has been used as a building material.
ART AND LITERATURE
At first their art was iconic and geometric, later as the town-states united they started to add more and more detail in their static sculptures. At the peak of culture dynamic poses arose, even later emotion to those graceful monumental idols and reliefs. Emerald panthers were great with paintings, frescos, and brilliant and colourful mosaics, however most if not all were lost due decay. In literature they were always fond of epic tales of great proportions, heroes and adventures... Some are still preserved today, as verbal stories...
CLOTHING AND CRAFTING Cloth is produced and weaved out of linen, silk and other such materials. With it they tend to produce, shawls, veils, simple garments, cloaks , cowls, dressed and capes which are often worn. Emerald panthers are also master metallurgists; their black, copper, gold and silversmiths were know all around the world. ON other cases they were also well skilled wood-workers DIET AND FARMING
Emerald panthers are omnivore. Their diet mostly consists of the local fauna such as deer, birds, fish but at the same time they eat different kinds of plant food like: berries, nuts. Mushrooms are also eaten. A specialty is the fermented berries and grains for alcoholic brews. Still emeralds cultivate leafy greens, with it to feed the local fauna in times of hardships, however eating those plants causes bad stomach aches and vomiting. Sometimes used as medication for 'purification'.

Emeralds that shave their mane usually end up with tuft 6. In age male emeralds grow a longer fluffier mane and 'beards' , head 10 gets useful for a small beard. • Emeralds can develop various shapes of ears. •They develop tufts depending how cold the area is they used to live in. Tufts develop independent of the ones parents have. The listed tufts are in order from low cold protection to high cold protection. Tuft 6 11 9 belong to mane addons. • Tails also develop different fluffiness depending on terrain. The tails in brackets are not recommended or only come in special cases.
• Manes are not inherited, but stylized by the individual to their heart's content.COLOUR RULES:• Emerald panthers have pink, dark gray skin or both combined in a mottled manner. • Underfur is the same colour as fur, slightly lighter or sometimes normally lighter, or same as fur. Markings can be darker and/or lighter • Noses are usually a similar shade and darker than the fur, or the colour of the skin! • Inner ear may be coated with fur lighter/darker than the coat or if furless it is the same colour as the skin. • Tail tip, above and under eye may be lighter, darker or the same colour as pelt/markings. (each of the three can have its own hue and shade, even by a drastical shade) • The contrast in between all the colours should not be too big! (one or two colours may be bright!)

| THE LEGACY BY BLOOD
There are two kinds of emerald mixes. One kind are true halfies the others are mixes.
You can make or adopt out mixes, however they most likely don't know about their heritage, unless they seek out Sava Domino at the savannah sanctuary. Do contact me and discuss with me before you make one, that way if you have questions, we can clear them up asap... Emerald panthers as a species are unknown to most other races, and no, your character is not an exception. They were usually known only as some weird mix that was assimilated into the other species. Therefore they act and smell like the other species' members.
Halfies have one Emerald panther as a parent. They have a long life span but even that couldn't save them from dying out, which was about 7000 years ago when the last emerald died. Some halfies could survive that long due magical alteration and blood cults (See Sava) -please please contact me urgently if you wish to have one of these, they are special and rare and cannot be just some character.
Mixes have emerald blood in them but do not have a pure emerald parent. Mixes usually have 'emerald blood of +/- 50%' and lower. They were capable of keeping that percentage of emerald blood in them due them preferring the company of similar mixes instead of others and breeding in between themselves for many generations. Weaker mixes exist too, some only have at about 5% in them, but that is enough to show some minor triats in them. Mixes may be very bright and eager to explore and learn more about the world around them (not really in the manner of exploring like traveling!)
All living descendants of the Emeralds come from the second age Emeralds Therefore they may inherit a pale green colour, and deep emeald eyes, these were somewhat unique to the second age emeralds compared to the lush green markings of the ones from the first age. All markings, colours and other triats of emeralds fade away over many generations of watering down
Lifespan
Halfies may live for additional 3000 years. Mostly due the fact that secondary emeralds had a much shorter lifespan. 50% mixes may live for extra 60 years or not. 25% can life for extra 30-10 years. Less than 25% may live for extra 10 years in great vigor. Inteligence The Emerald knowledge has degraded greatly in the dark age, very little has been passed on but tales and stories of a glorious past and a few well preserved knowledges or old wilves' tales. This only works for halfies. For mixes however, they know nothing as over many, many generations all that they knew has been forgotten or lost. They have been assimilated into the other race so to say.
Species mix permission The only rule I have set for emerald mixing is that ralistically no mixes can exsist that are more than 50% Emerald and mixed with a recent species, especially without a single trace of a third species. (recent hybrid species or species younger than panthers, tigers etc.) They may exsist IF they are 25% or less emerald 25% or more of another species and 50% desired species breed.
