Rae was always cautious when she came across scent markers. She was under three feet tall, making her smaller than most any creature she encountered. For a female puma, she was huge, due to growing up under the best of circumstances, but she still passed under and demonic lion without even having to duck. Big eyes and huge paws made her seem somewhat cubbish by comparison. Proportionately, her hind legs were the longest of any cat. This gave her an edge over the many beasts here. She could leap just over sixteen feet straight into the air. She used this to escape those that may wish her harm. But perhaps the most remarkable thing about her was her tail and general overall degree of fluff. She had incredibly long, thick fur. She was soft to the touch, and well suited for Artic temperatures and high altitude where the snow never stopped. In her home she was an apex predator. Here, she was just another "big" cat. Albeit, with some odd talents. She had a few necklaces and a satchel strapped around her belly to hold things.
Her tail flicked nervously as she got deeper in. She was thankful for the cold, but it had quietly the forest. While she made next to no sound, she could pick up on the sounds of those nearby. She bristled as the pawsteps of something huge reached her ears. So long as she seemed... Herself, she would be fine. She knew this was not the nicest of prides, as it was originally a splinter of Meurtrier.
A dark beast well over twice her height stepped out. Something seemed familiar about him, though his heavily scarred appearance was frightening, not to mention the sabers, fiery red eyes she had heard of, and the aura of cold that seemed to surround him. "Um... Hiiii.... I'm looking for a guy named Cyber Donovan? I heard he lived here..." The big brute nodded and frosted words appeared over his head.
Can you read?
"Of course I can," she replied. "Hard to live among giants when you don't have a few tricks in your claws. So you manipulate ice? I see your tail. It's super cool." She watched a smile appear on his face.
I'll take you to him. Since the owl who usually speaks for me is absent, you would be an incredible help if you could speak for me.
She nodded enthusiastically. She reared up onto her hind legs and put her paws on his face. With her long legs, standing like this, she was taller than him. She could see his surprise as she licked him on the nose. "I'd love to help you out. I'm getting this sense of déjà vu." He nodded to her. He then inspected one of her paws.
Your paws are almost the same size as mine.
She shrugged and returned to all fours. "Pretty typical of a cougar. Must have been a while since you've seen one. I have not encounter any while I've been in these lands. Mostly lion... Things." Victor chuckled as he lead the female back to camp. He was surprised by how well she kept up. He let out a loud chuff then to draw the attention of anyone around.
