Evangeline Caliver & Severus 'Sherlock' Alkaev
Evangeline lay down near Severus, one of her cubhood friends. Eva had grown, and so did Severus. The demonic liger looked towards the Commander's daughter, and tilted his head where she had looked at him at the corner of her navy eyes, a copy of Cocaine's eyes. "What is it, Evangeline?"
"Nothing, Severus." said the girl, taken aback by Severus's questioning tone, raising a brow, "Aren't I not allowed to look at you?" she challenged, smirking playfully at him. The apprentice just grumbled, then he huffed, laying his head on his paws. Evangeline giggled, looking at him again, "That's what I thought." she said before she lay down on her side lazily. Then, that was when she realized that it was freezing cold in the snow, she shuddered. Without thinking, she shivered again, "C-c-cold.." she muttered, brushing her black and pinkish-red pelt against Severus's soft, sleek, striped dark golden-orange fur. Severus grunted in bewilderment as she murmured, "O-oh! Sorry.." she murmured and Severus let out a long sigh, "It's fine." he said after a moment of silence and Evangeline blushed ever so slightly.
Severus didn't notice it, he was off into his own world.. who knew what that boy was thinking of? But it was certainly not love, or romance. Nothing of the sort would happen like that, as far as he was concerned, for now, anyway.

Romulus Alkaev
The young demonic liger trotted easily through the snow, his large paws and thick coat gave him the advantage of the season. Romulus did not suffer from the cold as many might, he was in his element. Nothing was particularly driving the path he was taking, he was simply wandering about the veldtlands with his nose pointed up.
Ears stood up as far as they could when Rom noticed his brother and the younger female he had met a while ago. They almost looked like they were cuddling, how disgusting. How could brother let that female touch him like that? Maybe he could find out, while at the same time dominating his clearly clueless little brother. Romulus made his way over and stood in front of the pair, his emerald gaze staring down on them. He promptly contorted his face into one of exaggerated disgust while making a 'bleh' noise, "What are you two lovebirds doing?" He shook his head and returned his expression to his regular eyes narrowed one. Romulus thought of his mother, who would have said something along the lines of 'One day your face is going to get stuck like that if you're not careful Romulus.' He snorted at the thought.
Bright emeralds flickered to Evangeline who was shivering profusely "If you're cold go back to your den, maybe there you wont freeze to death. How unfortunate that would be." He rolled his eyes, anyone who couldn't handle the cold should stay inside more often than those who could. They could leave the hunting to himself and such capable creatures. Anyways, "Brother, don't tell me you 'like like' this female, or any female for that matter. They are icky I don't understand it." Maybe later he would, but right now all he knew was girls had cooties and he didn't want to be infected. The young one held no desire to get too 'friendly' with a female, unlike his brother it seemed. "Try not to lower yourself more than you already have." he scoffed.

Severus frowned and let out a sigh, "No. I don't adore anyone in that sort of way, nor do I desire myself to be.. 'liked liked' by anybody. Love only gets in the way.. and sooner or later, who knows what'll happen to them? Besides, what's the point if I can't sense emotions anymore.. they're fading away slowly. I cannot let emotions get over me." he bristled, and Evangeline eventually rose to her paws, and walked off, her expression was hidden by her mane as she wandered away, into the dens.
Severus shuddered at the thought of loving another, "How is your training going with grandfather? I bet you're doing quite well." he said, giving his brother a respectful nod. Romulus was the more dominant one, Severus had finally came to realize after a while. But, despite this, he was still a bit irritated with his narcism, but he would grow on it after a while, in the future.

Romulus Alkaev
Romulus raised a brow at his brother's response, "An interesting concept. One that I can almost agree with. But I am glad to hear we have similar feelings." His tongue rolled out of his open mouth in the direction of Evangeline although she was leaving with her back to them. Severus was right, if and when Rom ever got into the opposite sex he would be faced with the chance of losing them to battle or to sickness. However, Romulus held pride in the fact that when that ever happened, the female he chose won't go down so easily. He was confident he would pick the right female to stand by his side, just as father did. Despite some member's lashing of their tongue against his mother. In his opinion Adelaide was the absolute correct choice for the dominant female position, he respected his father for choosing such an admirable and capable female. It was indeed a bonus that he could call her mother, and she could call him son. He did not consider that bias much in his analysis of the females in the clan, everyone had their place and everyone was meant for something.
Speaking of..."My training is going well, but of course grandfather tires. So it affects my training to a small degree; however, I find my ways of compensation for what is lost." It was an incredible feeling to be complimented, and something he didn't expect from Severus, but he supposed they were both growing up. "And what about you? How has your apprenticeship been playing out for you?" As much as Romulus usually loved looking down on his peers, looking eye to eye wasn't so bad if the other was appreciative of him. So he took a seat in front of Severus and slid down in the snow to lay comfortably on his side. While awaiting a response his emerald gaze bore into his brother's as his tail moved side to side through the snow, creating a tail-angel.

Severus chuckled, "Well. It's fine now. I took a doe down by myself, and it didn't even notice me. Other than that, it's going well. But of course, we all have our own paths to follow.. and I believe that you'll become a great leader, Romulus. I can see it in your soul. But for now, we have to work hard in order to achieve our goals. After all, if we want to make sure Jaaku and Meurtrier are feared once again, like father and Master Sevastyn told us, we have to do our best. And I think we can all achieve our goals. Perhaps you can be on the front lines, beating down everyone in your path." he suggested, shrugging.

Adalynn
Her light weight mixed with her inherited large paws had Lynn almost walking on top of the snow. In the softer places she fell through. Sea foam green's brightened to spot her brothers when she looked up from her play. Though getting older and finally able to join the ranks of her parent's pride, Lynn was still as playful as ever. And being her first time experiencing snow on the lower levels of the Veldt, she just couldn't stop playing in the cold wonderful substance. But now her attentions were drawn away from the sloppy designs she was trailing around. As Adalynn approached Evangeline was leaving. The Demonic hybrid tilted her head as she had caught the last bit of what her brothers were saying and the clear depression on the other female's features. Rage began to boil at the surface. No way was she going to let her siblings get away with being so heartless. Adalynn scooped up a mouthful of snow on her final few steps. Standing overtop of the laying Romulus the smaller sibling proceeded to dump, the now half melted, snow on top of his head. She knew he would be angry so she began her rant before giving him a chance to say anything. "Neither one of you is going to be a Great leader with this kind of attitude. Strength and fearlessness only gets you so far!" She spat at the two of them, brows furrowed. "Compassion and understanding also have to be in the equation. There's a difference between a cruel uncaring tyrant and a great leader." Her gaze swept to where Evangeline had gone, as if to emphasize.

Evangeline pricked her ears, looking toward Adalynn, blinking, then she just looked down to her paws. She just looked at the other female, fur prickling.
Severus brushed the back of his head awkwardly, he was still confused about his emotions. The demonic liger just simply looked at Romulus then to Adalynn, rather.. clueless. He then looked to his paws, then Sevastyn's voice rang through his ears, 'Always respect your higher-ups.' However, if Romulus threatened Adalynn, Severus would no doubt protect Adalynn. To him, Adalynn was the more.. fair sibling of the litter. He just looked to his paws, "Adalynn does have a point. Master Sevastyn told me to be respectful of the higher ups, and Evangeline is Commander Cocaine's daughter. But despite this, I never said I loathed her." he said simply, shrugging, "Honestly.. what do I know at becoming a leader?" After this, he stayed as silent as stars, unless someone called for him.

Romulus Alkaev
Romulus looked at his brother with a bit of surprise, "A doe? I wouldn't expect someone of your current physical stature to be able to do such a thing." He gave Severus an approving look before nodding, "Thank you, and so we will, brother." Romulus almost smiled but before he could really express himself a pile of half melted snow came down on his head. He remained still for a moment, his fur beginning to prickle and stand on end and the snow on his head began to melt as if his body heat had just rapidly increased. A piece of snow ran down his nose as he turned his head to look at the culprit, his sister. His face was scrunched up angrily and his bright green eyes looked up at her through the melted snow dripping down his brow. He was fuming, but she was lucky he was in a decent mood previously otherwise he might have swiped at her. Instead he took a deep breath before rising to his paws and shaking his head to rid of the mess Adalynn made.
Romulus said nothing, he didn't get much chance as Adalynn and Severus both talked his ear off. When he could finally get a few words in he retorted, "Hey! I will not be a tyrant Adalynn." He stared her down before motioning to where Evangeline had left to, "I only gave her a suggestion that was the solution to a problem she obviously did not know how to fix. She didn't have to take my advice. Don't look at me like that, I had nothing to do with whatever mood she is in, I have no idea what had her fur in a knot." His sister had just arrived to the scene and not seen it all, she was just making false accusations, he thought. "Yes I agree, the higher-ups should be respected. But you have it wrong Severus, Evangeline is not a higher-up just because of her father. Neither are we; however the way that we stand above her is in strength, she is weak and no where near our level. That being said I don't think myself higher than those that are clearly above me, Evangeline is not one of those felines." He nodded to himself, satisfied with his answer.

Adalynn
She continued to frown at her brother, even as he stood and towered over her. Ears lowered and tail lightly flicked but she did calm a little; perhaps a smile breaking the surface. He did look ridiculous after all with the snow on his head. "It wasn't just that Rommie. It was the tone you used. Even from back there you sounded too mean and perhaps she wasn't taking your advice but simply leaving because she thought you were being mean too." She slightly huffed, now taking a seat. Lynn listened on as Romulus began speaking of respect in response to their brother. But her gaze stared off to where Evangeline had gone. "Yeah, she's not a higher up but her father is. Which means she's trained by a Commander, so it's unfair of you to call her weak when you really have no idea of her strengths. Besides, being our ally there may come a day when the two of you will have to work together to fight an enemy. And if this is the way she'll remember your attitude toward her.. Well, I wouldn't blame her if she didn't help you and you end up hurt by the enemy." Slowly her sea foam's returned to Romulus and her brow raised.

Severus gave Adalynn an approving look, "Perhaps but either way.. we are all growing up. It's probably something to do with hormones or something. We will never know." He then looked to Romulus, then to Adalynn, he started to wipe off the snow of Romulus's head, that is.. if Romulus didn't attempt to kick his ass or something.

ARETA, ISAER, COCAINE
Cocaine didn't often walk with Jaaku members, but an elder was an elder, and she had a wisdom to offer that, in his recent days, Cocaine found particularly inviting. They strolled through the cold snow, ears perked. Voices seemed to carry farther these days. Areta seemed amused at what she had heard, and Cocaine? Indifferent, perhaps a bit confused. He glanced at Areta, but she smiled as they walked on.
Enter Isaer. He crept up on the scene, taking note of his siblings and all. Rom was there. After Adalynn finished talking, he leaped in, chest puffed out. "Hey! Romulus would be a great king!" It was clear that, among his siblings, he had a favorite. He scurried lowly toward Romulus and pulled back his lips, revealing little sharp teeth. "He's more wise than any of you will ever be - clearly!" Be it asskissing or a genuine gesture, no one could be certain, but he spoke loud and clear.
Loud and clear enough for Areta and Cocaine to hear. Areta began to head their direction, the conversation between the both of them having been put on pause, and stopped short to look at the younger crowd. She didn't say anything, though Isaer straightened out as he noticed them both. Cocaine appeared to be mulling something over in his head; and just as he was about to speak, decided against it. Curiosity prickled and poked at Isaer's mind. The commander and Areta gave them all a last glance before they headed the away.
And for the curious readers, the only thing that kept Cocaine from speaking out was that they weren't his responsibility, and Areta's previous un-narrated words reasoned with him.

Romulus Alkaev
Romulus twitched and gritted his teeth when the word 'Rommie' hit his ears. He despised the nickname and knew that was exactly why his sister used it. "It is plain to see she is at least weak minded, for her sake I hope she grows out of it. And that she eventually realizes I was only trying to help her. Then yes I would gladly fight with her in battle, if she proves she will not be just a rag doll thrown in to be torn apart." He snorted before repeating what his brother said, "We are still growing up, just as she is, I have plenty of time to improve and make allies. But thank you for outlining what you believe are my weaknesses." Romulus ignored Severus' grooming. Even though he sounded a bit harsh, Romulus knew he would mull over Adalynn's words later in the day. The liger was a bit stubborn on the outside when taking criticism, but that didn't mean her words weren't able to sink into his skin, even if only a little.
The sound of crunching snow coming from behind him had his attention drawn away from Adalynn as he craned his neck to see who it was. His fur prickled with satisfaction when Isaer suddenly spoke up about him being a great king. Romulus smirked, "Thank you, Isaer." More pawsteps could be heard approaching, who was it now? Bright emeralds flickered to look past Isaer. Great, Areta and Cocaine, were they going to lecture him too? Even if they were, he turned his back to his sister to address them with a dip of his head. Romulus knew his place when it came to the adults, it was just as he said before 'I don't think myself higher than those who are clearly above me.' They both had his respect, but that didn't mean he couldn't wish to be stronger than them one day. He had his goals, his ambitions, and they would carry him forward and make him strong.

Adalynn
Lynn finally had nothing else to say. She knew how hard headed just about all her brothers were. And when Isaer seemingly popped out of nowhere, it had the sister rolling her eyes and looking away with a shake of her head. But her mood lifted when Areta arrived. The smaller 'ess stood, rubbing her forehead against the white female in welcome, adding in a soft purr. When her greeting was finished she turned to the male that companied the elder. Adalynn gave a small smile and a dip of her head. How badly she wanted to follow Areta as the two left but she remained with her littermates, taking back her seat.

Severus noticed Adalynn's look, and he noticed Cocaine and Areta departing, he dipped his head in respect, they were his superiors, and he respected them greatly. In his head, he internally scoffed to himself quietly about Isaer's comment.. oh god no. Isaer was so.. ugh, even thinking of him made him irritated. But, he wouldn't lose his head over an individual, even how annoying he was. If he was to become intact, he would need to try his best to control himself. Nobody was perfect, after all.
