NERANTE, NERRY
[/i] He trailed off and then looked away. Would she really be proud? The healer looked back at the family den wall, where he had hung up some rock decorations, carved with magic to hang as ornament. Viciado always did love making silly trinkets as a hobby. That was a pretty bittersweet memory for Nerante. He turned around and headed through the vine entrance that marked the separation between healing den and family den. From within the family den there was less of a breeze, one had to enter the healing den to get to the family den. Upon entrance, it was to the left, and to the right far enough back was the underground tunnel dens; for those too sick to do anything useful. "Dad!" Nerry's tone rang quiet with great urgency as he raced up to Nerante. "The queen came in with a cub, her nephew, Slither. She said he's had a really bad cough all morning. I sent them into the tunnel dens, where it's warmer." Nerante frowned and gave his son a nod. "Good thinking. I'll head down and find out what's wrong, why don't you try to find Iarri?" He brushed past Nerry and didn't give him a chance to protest. This timing was perfect. Check on the cub and ask Odysseia about Iarri's position. Maybe even attempt making friends with the queen. It would certainly lift him in the social hierarchy of things. Nerry didn't waste any time. He began to search for Iarri; though coming back empty handed wasn't entirely out of the question. She could be busy![/ul][/blockquote] [Iarri doesn't need to come into the roleplay, entirely optional, all welcomed.]

She had not been too busy but nor was she in the dens. Because Nerante and his son had decided to go gathering and all was quite within the Pride, Iarri had chosen to take a small break to be with family. She wanted to spend time to get to know her "nieces and nephews". So she was helping either Carnal or her brother cub-sit their rowdy little children.

Evangeline slithered through the grass, her ears pricked as she observed the scene before her.
Severus stood, observing, as if they were pieces of prey, and he just stood there, he lay, hidden in the grass, his scent hidden.

Rachel had been following one of her brothers around, Severus. Unlike Severus, Rachel was a social butterfly and enjoyed spending time with others. Lately, she had been trying to spend more time with Remus, though only when there were others nearby in case things got out of control. She loved him, but she did not trust him. She felt so bad for Remus. She was positive she could do something to make him feel better and not be stuck alone all the time. Her eyes flitted to the head of healers in Meurtrier and she trotted over to him, faintly striped brown fur groomed to an impeccable sheen. "Nerante," she called, before realizing he was descending into the dens. Her eyes turn to Nerry then. "Hi! I was wondering if you could teach me some things about healing. There are few in Jaaku with any skill, and like my mother, what they know is minor compared to your knowledge. Or maybe you could ask Nerante if I could watch? I promise I wouldn't get in the way!" She looked to Nerry and grinned, hoping that he would help her to learn more, or perhaps direct her to Nerante. It was well known that Jaaku had few healers. Rachel wanted to remedy that. Their sick and wounded should not constantly become a burden upon their allies.

NERANTE, NERRY, ODYSSEIA, SLITHER
A queen was only a queen before her subjects within her own eyes. Before her brother's son she was no more than an aunt, maybe a mother, worried about his cough. Even to a healer surrounded in a fog of questions, she was nothing more nor less a worried 'ess ready to do all within her power to make sure the health and well being of family was put forward. Slither coughed and his body shook, impatient queenly paws prodded the ground as Nerante made his way down.
"Nerante!"
Her tone was sharp and laced with urgency. The medic didn't appear to go any faster. He stopped to look over them both. Odysseia was putting up quite the fuss, it would prove difficult to get an answer out of her regarding Iarri's position until Slither was dealt with. The cub coughed again, the queen impatiently tapped her paws.
"Well?" Her tone was urgent and impatient.
Nerante's gaze lifted, stern, to the worried queen, and found her gaze just as stern.
"It's just a cough. I've the cure. Hold on here." He murmured, masking his annoyance with a kind smile as he turned to go and get some catmint.
He was in a rush, but now someone had his attention. She was from Jaaku, though he didn't know her name. Lessons to become a healer for Jaaku sounded cool, but Nerry was hardly a healer himself. Still.. it was good to have someone interested! Maybe he'd have someone to hang out with more often. He gave a nod. "My dad just went down to help with the queen and her nephew, but when he's out, ask him! I gotta go though, I'll be back! And good luck!" He smiled at her and then raced out of the den.
Attempts at picking up Iarri's scent all in vain. It was the visual that ultimately brought him running for Iarri, found by Carnal and Kazbek. "Iarri!" He halted and nodded to Carnal and Kazbek, feeling bad for intruding, but knowing his father would be pleased he'd found the healer. "Nerante wants to talk to you, do you have the time?" Nerry didn't appear to be looking at Iarri as he asked, glancing between the two lovers, worry that they may attempt to push him away in favor of family time alone.
Nerante exited the under-dens and found a stranger within the main den area. "What's the problem?" He did his best to sound inviting and yet serious, assuming she was there because of illness or soreness. Nerante gathered catmint in preparation for Slither.

Iarri Kannon
It was nice being with the family. It felt wonderful to hold meaningless light conversation and occasionally give into childish behavior to appease the playful nature of the cubs. When Nerry found the red 'ess she had caught one of the cubs and was currently bathing them, whether they consented or not. She paused in her rasping, looking up and giving the young trainee a kind smile. "Hello, Nerry." She greeted warmly, releasing whichever cub had fallen into her grasp. She stood midway through his explanation, her thick tail flicking to brush the youth's flank to calm him. "Duty calls." She sighed patiently to the Donovan-Kannons. Bidding them all farewell she headed with Nerry back to the healer's den.
"Yes?" Her eyes flicked to a young Demonic. The faint stripes she held were a clear indication of who she belonged to. Giving Rachel a smile of greeting her attentions swept to Nerante. "Is it Remus?" She asked steadily. Assuming on such since his sister was here and she appeared fine.
