CANNIVAL DONOVAN [/size][/font] Despite the insistence of not coming along, Cannival decided that it would be good to get involved into pride affairs again. She'd been a shut in for too long since her arrival back to Meurtrier, and who else could she trust than Asesino? So, she invited herself along to go and question Alighieri. She had a little bit of an idea about what was going on, but for the most part the old feline stood tall and alongside Casper. She kept her mouth shut, at least for now, as Asesino took the reigns of interrogation.

The Ash Leopard had many thoughts regarding what was said at the meeting, but for now until he could seek solitude, he pushed them aside. The dark male was just about to depart when Asesino called him out, and he stopped to address her in return. "Asesino."
This wasn't unexpected, really. Considering their last chat. Alighieri only hoped that whatever came of this encounter would be okay, good even.
He didn't expect another of his remembered daughters to turn up, however... Hm.

CANNIVAL DONOVAN [/size][/font] Cannival gave that relative sort of smile, a warm one, to Casper as they all sat down formally, save Geminor. She looked at him with a raised eyebrow - when was she going to fall off the cliff soon? Poor thing was in and out of it constantly. Either way, she just looked back and forth between Asesino and Alighieri. Although her tail lashed occasionally at Geminor making a ruckus.

"I don't doubt you." The Ash Leopard replied, crimson eyes switched their attention between the four here, particularly Geminor - poor thing - before settling on Asesino again.
It was then Alighieri sat down with his side exposed, pondering his story. He recalled that he'll have Jasper's backup if necessary, which is a great convenience, moreso with the two being mated.
"I did hope that there would be fewer of you before this happened, but I can see this is not a luxury I shall have." He paused, maw parted ever so slightly, "perhaps you should ask again on their account."

Asesino tilted her head. Which was exactly what Casper did. Which was funny looking, seeing as Casper, although very young, was almost the same size of his adopted mother. Alighieri shifted around so that he'd face them, laying down as he did. The Ash Leopard was the smallest creature here, but as a fighter he was equally as capable. Not that this information is relevant presently. He cast a glance to the throne where some of the superiors were, then back to Asesino, Cannival, Casper and Geminor. He was not too worried about the Herm, considering the state they were in, but he still spoke with a hushed voice to the other three.
"Do you recall a while back, your mate Jasper Crimson returned from an outing exhausted?" He started, pausing again, how does he explain such a complicated event? He shivered, remembering the moment he was killed. "He summoned Dante Donovan - your father, for questions. In doing so, he ripped the same soul from somebody else." Hey, this proves that death can go many ways. Now confirmed was hell, and reincarnation.
Alighieri sat up.
"When he tore my soul away from me, I was Dante before him. We spoke, and I got to meet some of your sisters. I remembered so much of his life... And I still do. I remember living as your father." He stopped, this would be so much to take in, and he hoped it wouldn't turn violent.

Jasper laid in the background, having been watching for some time, well hidden, despite his size. He was present for Aligheri's protection. He trusted his family to do what was right, but everyone else? Not at all. To most, this would be shocking. He expected to be under the gun after this, but it was nothing new to him. He expected there were others listening, but he did not expect poor behavior out of those he could see.

The male had been passing by - on his way to go out and hunt out of boredom when he heard Asesino's question. His bright blue eyes landed on the group - Asesino, Cannival, Alighieri, Casper, Geminor, and he paused, assessing the situation. He hadn't known what had gone exactly - but he had heard from Shinku something had happened that was inexplicable. It had peeked his interest about Dante, his grandfather, and he wondered about it now... His thoughts were confirmed when he heard Alighieri's reply and his lip curled upwards slightly before he shook his head. There was no need to get hostile - yet.
His eyes flicked forward again then landed back on the group. Hunting could wait, he was curious. Walking over, he joined the five of them, but kept his distance from being too close to any one person. He had no care for those here - maybe one day he could reacquaint himself with his two aunts that sat there but as of yet, he just didn't care for them. The only reason he was back to begin with was because of his daughter. |

CANNIVAL DONOVAN [/size][/font] She bristled at the mention of their father.. Dante. She.. she wasn't even there when he died. And now this.. this.. stranger was saying.. no. Like Asesino, she was stunned into silence. She couldn't think of anything.. no. Weird things happened in Meurtrier, that was for sure.. but she tried to keep her temper in check. How dare this.. this leopard had the gall to say what he said. That he remembered being Dante, that he was him at some point.
She didn't even react to her sister calling for her mate. She just wanted to leave, feeling offended at the whole thing.

Jasper winced at the mention of his name, rather the roar of it. He rose from his spot and growled as tree branches cracked, horns caught. With a grunt, he pulled free, littering the ground with broken branches, flattening a sapling as well. He walked to stand behind Aligheri and looked at his mate, a bit sheepishly. "I meant to tell you, but things got so hectic, and I was tired... It slipped my mind. And when he arrived, I figured I would let him adjust first." His single ear lowered a bit, looking submissive, though it was only for Asesino... Occasionally Neo.

Alighieri anticipated this reaction, and in a way was glad for it. But the looks on their faces... Well, it was saddening to see this grief reawaken, but the Ash Leopard was glad he wasn't forgotten, and still held in high esteem by his previous lives children.
Alighieri remained sat down, almost expecting a more hostile reaction, but tension faded when he felt the ground rumbling from Jasper joining behind him. This was the backup the Leopard needed, just incase. They could trust Jasper more than an unfamiliar face. Alighieri said nothing more, even though he wanted to say more, just waiting to be addressed first on account of their feelings.

DarkStar merely narrowed his eyes further before pushing up onto his paws and stepping back a bit. It was... Odd to hear that Dante was alive once more - within another's body. That magic of the Crimson's were startling - and he didn't consider it all well and done in this case. It was wrong to bring back someone that obviously pained others with his return - especially after he'd been gone for so long.... He saw no reason to honor his secrecy. "Do Funeral and Cocaine know?" He eyed them for a moment - but his thoughts were carefully masked - his face blank and devoid of any emotion. |
