Renita
The stress around Jaaku was strong lately- from the tension surrounding Adelaide's new position and her troublesome step-sister, to the recent tragedy and unease set around one of the queen's new sons... It was all a big headache to Renita. None of this involved her directly, but she had at first chosen to get involved with her newest step siblings, to try and be accepting.
But after the incident, she realized she had no want to be near them. There was unease about them, and she wanted no less than to avoid them all together... As if things couldn't get any more stressful lately, she soon learned rather quickly that she was in heat, her first. It made her even less a happy camper, and the urges that filled her made her rather irritable as well. She didn't feel she needed to be around the general populace, so she distanced herself to a corner of the Grotto.
It was quite hot of course, but for the moment it was a pleasant contrast to the cold outside air of night. Out of boredom and frustration, she began to roll and rub on the walls and floors of the cave, trying to get the itch out of her system. Even in the Grotto, though, someone was bound to find her...

Issues. Alfwin knew he had them. As much as he denied it, no matter how smug he was, he knew he was different, and perhaps even handicapped. He had spent some time arguing yet again with his mother's skull, imagining she talked back to him. It was so real that he was unsure what to believe. As time had progressed, he had taken to staying up in the evenings and sleeping in the heat of the day, hoping to distance himself from those he found most annoying. With the bit of tundra demonic he had in his blood, he preferred the cooler weather. But right now, he sought the grotto.
This evening, he had gathered plenty of dry material to toss into the molten rock. However, as he entered, he found himself not alone. He glanced to Renita, giving her a questioning look. The smell of brimstone overwhelmed the scent of her heat, thus he remained unaware of her condition. He walked to the lava and tossed a twig into it, watching a brief flame catch. "Haven't you heard, Renita? Nothing good comes after midnight. So what are you doing out?" He turned his head slightly and peered at her from the corner of his eye.

Renita
The 'ess ceased her rolling quickly, automatically having a low growl rumbling in her throat. It was over-powered by the sound of the crackling lava, though, and her deep blue's simply narrowed at the young male as he tossed a stick into the lava. "Not when you make it sound creepy like that... I'm just out enjoying myself." What a croc, if she were enjoying herself she wouldn't be trying to hide her scent in the Grotto. "You?"
