The King's body motions were swift and strong as he scaled the area, and as he went he called out specific names and an order along with it.
"I NEED ASESINO, JAY, GRENADE, AND ZALUI TO ME, NOW!" Called out in a bellow, within the camp before he exited further into the Veldt, somewhere somewhat secluded, waiting for those specific members to arrive.
He sat firm and strong, staring hard at the camp's direction. Though there was hardly a tinge of malice in his expression, he was serious. He had come to the conclusion on what to do with Osic, and those mentioned would ultimately be those to determine his son's fate.
A trial was in order.

ASESINO
[/i] Asesino mumbled as she headed for where Funeral was at. Upon arrival, she paused and looked around. Then all eyes on Funeral. "Yes?"[/ul][/blockquote]

Zalui Xemvoi
Zalui lifted himself from his usual Grotto location. With a sigh he stretched, clearly in no hurry. But he was rather curious as to what Funeral could possible need of him. Tail lashed in very slight irritation, the flame flickering softly. He approached, offering the red female that made it there before him a nod before looking to Funeral for an answer.

(hope you meant my Jay, if not please inform me ewe ) Gatsby
Jay jolted as his name, the one he was less commonly called, boomed through the Veldt. The dominant, no doubt, and it made him feel uneasy. He was so close to leaving with his family, what could he want from him and these others? Getting up from his place in front of his nieces' den, he made a quick lope to where the leader had called from, and came to a hasty stop in front of him. Looking around, he calculated that he was about the third one there, and didn't feel the need to ask the question that Asesino had already covered. He simply stood and waited for orders.

Grenade DonovanHaving been resting with his head on his paws, the male's head rose when he heard his name called in a quick succession of other's. Whatever this was, for Funeral to call this quick succession of names, it had to be important and so without dallying he lurched to his paws and made his way to the meeting. Once there he appraised the other's present or just now showing up with a nod of his head in greeting, and then turned his attention toward their Lord.

As the four arrived, his gaze turning to each of them in turn, his lips parted and it was immediately to the point. "You four are going to decide Osic Donovan's fate." He walked a line in front of them, staring at them in turn. "You hold my son's demise or freedom in your paws." There was hardly a hint of emotion besides the absolute seriousness that was clearly there. Deeper within, if it was able to be reached, contradictions and questions above all lapped at the surface of his facade, but it was easy for the Lord, so his expression stayed the same. "I am going to get him, along with someone else who was there during the fight. You will listen to Osic, we will hear what the other has to say, and you will decide what happens." With a pause, he huffed gently. "Stay here."
With that, he would trudge firmly and perhaps too stiffly past them and head in the direction of where the camp was. His muzzle would wrinkle and called out for: "KAZBEK!" And then instantly headed to where Osic was held. Once at the entrance, he would call his son's name, followed by a stressed yet mildly demanding voice. "Come with me." He would expect Kazbek near or by him soon, and once ready he would take the two males back to the judges.
[ Can either go ahead and skip to Funeral taking them to the judges after they come over/notice Fune/whatevva to make things a bit faster or not, I'm fine with either. B) ]

Gatsby & Kazbek
Gatsby felt a knot in his gullet as he was informed of what he was to do. Decide someone's fate? It sounded like such a burden, yet Gatsby sat tall. If there was anyone who could judge accordingly, it was him. He would listen to the boys, and give his honest answer.
Kazbek nearly leaped from his pelt as Funeral boomed his name, and he was on his paws in no time. His broad head held high as he hastily made his way to his leader, and now father in law, hardly wondering enough to assess the reason why he was called. If there was a duty to be done, he was going to do it without question. "Yes my lord?" He announced as he arrived in front of the medic's den, where Funeral was poised. He was taken aback by the sight of Osic being brought out though, and cocked his head in obvious wonder. What was this about? Oh well, his question would surely be answered shortly... Obediently, he waited patiently and followed Funeral to wherever he wanted to take him.

Zalui Xemvoi | Osic Donovan
Golden eyes widened a tad, his tail lashing behind him as he took a calm, though admittedly surprised, seat. Zalui did not know Osic personally, but his closeness to his daughter caused the beast to hold a small distaste for the boy.
Osic nearly hit the roof as Funeral's voice echoed throughout the dens. But he didn't hesitate as his head popped out from his "cell". Confusion filled him as he made his way into the light. Purple's landed momentarily on Kazbek before turning to his father. Osic said nothing as Funeral began walking. Whatever this was it was important. There was some hesitation now. The thought of now being his day of execution clouding his mind, but he followed soundlessly.

NERANTE & ASESINO
[/i] She said with a snort as she turned back. However Asesino was actually very excited to be judging someone for once. Not that she didn't on a private daily basis, but this time it was official and it decided the fate of Osic Donovan, son of Funeral Donovan and Najisi Kain, prisoner of Meurtrier. Nerante had been in the healers den where, for the longest time, Osic had been held. When Funeral came in and demanded Osic go with him, Nerante couldn't help but to be curious. The trial had finally come, no doubt. He dashed into the dens and urged Osic out to follow Funeral, but did nothing more. Trial or not trial, the inventory didn't stock itself. [/ul][/blockquote]

As they made their way back to the judges, the King gave them all a last look before instructing his son to sit before the four judges, motioning for Kazbek to be beside him. He would sit off to the side somewhat, a firm nod to the air in the direction of the four - if Osic looked back to him, he would have instructed without a word to face the judges before him. And from there he would explain. "Osic, tell them your experience in the battle. Your thoughts, your feelings, anything that comes to mind. And be truthful." He paused for a moment. "You four know what to do. Listen and when this is over, discuss - and then come to a conclusion."
He turned to Kazbek, then. "Listen closely to what Osic has to say, and when he is finished I want you to either disagree or agree with it, and what you saw and felt in regards to what happened." His voice was somewhat softer but still low, and with that he looked back up to give his attention toward Osic.
"Go on."

Osic Donovan
As they came upon the group Osic grew more confused. It wasn't until Funeral instructed him to explain himself and instructed the others to listen and analyze did he realize what was going on. So it had come.
Nervousness seized him. Oh God.. Wha- what do I tell them... They won't believe me! They aren't going to side with me! Why would they!? Why would they want to take pity on a traitor!?
His mind wheeled with so many negative thoughts. He had told Nerante exactly how he had felt and explained his motives when he hadn't needed to but he did, and without hesitation. Yet this was different. Extremely different.
"Um.. Well I.." His gaze slipped to Funeral. It was only natural. He wanted his parent for some sort of support but the Dominant only directed back toward the four judges. So he swallowed hard and continued. Might as well get this over with. "When Edmund came into camp and sounded the alarm, I went to investigate... When I got there I didn't jump right in. I guess my mind hadn't caught up to what I had been watching. When I finally came to the decision to attack was when I saw Cocaine and my mo.. Cocaine and Najisi. When she had left the pride with Reno I told myself I hated her. That she was a traitor. That she was the enemy. But seeing her in trouble.. Seeing her being attacked.. I couldn't.. I just couldn't let her get hurt. Couldn't let her die. She's my mother and no matter how angry and neglected by her I felt I still loved her. A love I guess I tried to ignore but just couldn't when I finally saw her... I had no intentions of attacking Cocaine.. No intentions of attacking Carnal when she pinned Najisi. I just wanted it to stop." Eyes closed momentarily as he tried to compose himself. Osic couldn't afford to lose control here. "I willingly came back as a prisoner. I refused my mother to return with her to La Morte. Going there would have solved nothing. Being there would only mean I would then be pinned against my father and siblings. I came back without complaint and I willingly stayed locked away underground because I'm no traitor..." After that there was nothing else for him to say. However, he still felt it was not enough.
Zalui watched Funeral and the other two take their positions. His eyes settled on Osic sharply, listening closely to what he had to say.

Grenade DonovanA jury to watch the proceedings of a trial, holding the fate of Osic within their throats. He bore the weight with indifference, mind already fluttering to the recalling of the things he'd heard, categorizing them and filing them away so that he could listen without prejudice. He'd sit on his haunches and await the arrival of the defendant and the witness. Eyes were on them when they entered, reading their body language, scanning their faces, taking note of all their emotions.
As Osic began speaking, he couldn't say he didn't understand him. Perhaps he wouldn't have done the same thing in the given situation but it didn't take away the understandable nature of it, but Osic was at an unfortunate place. Even if he was exiled from Meurtrier he likely would either end up in La Morte against his father, and if he was acquitted he would still find himself against his mother. Perhaps given a role that did not place him at odds with his mother?
That would only be delaying the ticking time bomb of true treason. Still, was it worth death? He could be given a permanent role as a prisoner... but there was no use in such for now. There was no benefit to it, for any of them. Dead weight is what he'd become.
He chewed on the inside of his lip as he quieted his mind and listened to the proceedings.

Kazbek
Kazbek gulped, ears folding down as Osic spoke. It was going to become his chance to talk soon, what should he say? He didn't want to appear nervous, but it was getting to that point. As it came to his turn, he stood a bit taller, and cleared his throat.
"When Edmund ran into camp, I was on my paws in seconds, running into battle. I rarely stopped, only to briefly scan the field I guess... And I saw that large red male attacking my mother. That was the only incentive I needed to throw myself upon him, to get him away from her... So I can understand where he comes from in wanting to protect his mother." He said with a pause, sighing. "I'm a loyal male, and I'm in no situation that he's in, but I just can't imagine my mother being my enemy... I care about my family, I don't ever wish to lay a claw on them unless I really had to."
He spent a moment looking in Osic's direction, calculating before turning back to the jury, and the dominant. "I don't know La Morte's leaders, I only know them as the scum that betrayed our pride and then attacked us... But I at least understand the connection of family, and how it may make things difficult... After I killed the male that pestered my mother, I saw the scene that was going on, but from a distance. At the time I thought that what Osic did was very foolish, but we still won, so I guess I didn't think much of it until now."

Caylis
The Hallowess had stood to watch the trial carry on, however; she stayed on the side of the crowd, her eyes softening at her son, Kazbek's words. He was a true sweetheart indeed.. hopefully the others wouldn't dare change him to a bloodthirsty monster. She shuddered, remembering Alfwin from the battle.. just slaughtering his mother brutally. She nodded to Kazbek as if to say 'Good job, i'm proud of you.' Her blue optics now landed on Osic, he reminded her of Isca, her sister.. that she slaughtered with her own claws.
It was only recent that she had revived Isca and set her free from her cage of tragedy and despair. Caylis had learned that family always came first, thanks to Kodiac and the Kannons, and she would never, ever; not in an eternity lay a claw on any Meurtran unless she had to. A part of her felt horrible for Osic, she could relate to such, back in her teen days when she was simply protecting her niece, Jane from a rogue Hallow who she found out.. was her father, Vain who had a mental disorder.. whom had threatened to kill her and Jane.
Luckily her beloved niece was still alive, but where; she did not know; all focus was now on Funeral and on the jury.. surely they would understand his problems? Surely Funeral wouldn't dare exterminate his own son?
