VIKTORIA CRIMSON-DONOVAN She drummed her paw fingers mindlessly on the rock she was resting on. From the Flame Grotto to the dens, then throughout all the Veldt, Viktoria could not keep still. She was anxious, to be precise. It was something fierce in her chest and she couldn't explain it. At least.. not until she stopped kidding herself.
Zalui.
She knocked her head gently against the stony textures, growling inwardly to herself. What was she thinking? Tossing her head, she wondered where Estevan was. She wanted to talk to him, confess what she had done, regret it immensely at least to someone who wouldn't judge her. And to think that she was expecting.. she jolted up and rolled off the rock. No! Don't even think like that!
Sure, they'd both fallen for each other but whether Viktoria liked him was up in the air. But to be having kids was something she wasn't in the mood for. So with a huff, she fell back to the ground, wondering how she was going to have to explain to her parents what she had done.

ASESINO, GEMINOR
and 'Geminor. Your name is Geminor.' Along with many other conversations Asesino didn't care to recall quite yet. The old hermaphrodite's brain, for unknown reasons, appeared to be deteriorating at an unnervingly fast rate. It wouldn't be long before Geminor either died, or deserved a mercy killing. Such a killing that Asesino would do herself, as she'd taken care of Geminor for so long at that point. Unfortunately, tending to the elderly, her children, and her adopted twin boys put a lot of stress on her shoulders. Asesino was tired in mind and body. So much so that she'd lost track of one of her daughters in the chaos of her mind; Dhalia. Her daughter had left without so much as a goodbye. Asesino would take notice when the air had cleared, but until then, she was unfortunately oblivious to the loss. She was also oblivious to Viktoria's troubles. If Asesino knew how much she was missing out on, it'd break her heart. Well, luck was in store of Asesino was she wandered, guiding Geminor along, and happened upon Viktoria. She paused to smile at her daughter, briefly wondered where Jasper was, and then decided to sit down. At first Geminor wouldn't sit with her, but after a bit of persuasion (or in other word, after Asesino spent a moment of forcing her to sit down by placing pressure on Geminor's rear), Geminor was seated. "Hello sweetheart, how're you doing today?" Asesino wondered if her daughter was alright. It was harder to tell these days lately, and the crimson 'ess blamed Geminor.[/ul][/blockquote]

VIKTORIA CRIMSON-DONOVAN
She'd heard her mother and Geminor in the distance - Geminor was making a right fuss, talking about random things, being incoherant. Viktoria had heard about Geminor losing her poor mind.. well that was old age. Not even he could stop himself from falling for it. The young female wondered if he'd make a fuss, not remembering who she was, but she seemed comfortable once her mother had gotten the old hermaphrodite to behave.
Viktoria smiled, and moved to give her mother a nuzzle greet. "Hey Mother, doing all right.. I suppose." She was reluctant to say anything about her encounter.. or how she hadn't told Zalui of the impending news yet. But it was her own mother.. and Asesino was an amazing mother. She could trust her.. couldn't she?
Her hesitance was also partly due to Geminor being present, but Viktoria doubted even if he would be able to remember the conversation.

ASESINO, GEMINOR
She looked back at her daughter with a confused smile. "Something on your mind, dear? You can talk to me, whatever it is." Asesino always sounded reassuring when talking to her children, especially if something may be up and bothering them.[/ul][/blockquote]

Viktoria sucked in some breath through clenched teeth, obviously uneasy about whatever was on her mind. Eyes flitted to the ground, closing them, shaking her head. Trying to get herself together and figure out what the hell to do.. or say. How could you say such a thing to your parents anyway? That you mated out of wedlock? Christ, it was all too overwhelming.
But despite all that, she finally began to speak. "I.. hm.. you.. Mum, you know Zalui, right? Zalui Xemvoi? Father of the Captain?"

ASESINO, GEMINOR
She would kill him. Asesino would spit fire and piss acid on his corpse if he harmed her precious daughter. Hell wouldn't be enough for him. But despite her angered thoughts, she would not too soon leap to conclusions, and waited patiently for Viktoria to explain the situation.[/ul][/blockquote]

The female was taken back at her mother's sudden jump to conclusions, and she shook her head promptly, wanting her mother to be calm as can be before she broke the news. Typical Asesino though, always being protective of her children. But no.. he didn't hurt her.
She sighed and explained dutifully. "Well.. I was out in the Veldt, alone, considering I hadn't seen Estevan in however long, just minding my own business when I came across Zalui. He wanted to nap but we began talking.. and he caught my interest.. and I think I caught his too because.." She trailed off, leaving mother dearest to fill in the gaps. "And.. yeah, that happened a while ago. I just.. I just found out now. And he doesn't know."

ASESINO, GEMINOR
Asesino said after a moment of thought, winking at her daughter. But seriously.. Zalui! She couldn't baby her children, they were growing up, but she'll be damned if she doesn't have a firm talking to that male. Or better yet, send in Jasper, that'd do him good. Yes, that'd do perfectly. Asesino could practically rub her paws together deviously, but she didn't. "Sweety, you take your time telling him. In fact, you don't need to if you don't want to. If you aren't mates then he doesn't deserve your time of the day." [/ul][/blockquote]

The red female was about to protest, at least until Asesino gave the wink. And then she was even more confused. "Uh.. wha-" She tried to wrap her head around the fact that her mother was very nonchalant about her young daughter being pregnant with Zalui's kids.. but then again, her family was always weird in some way. She shook his head and looked up to her.
Her voice went low. "But.. maybe.. I kind of like him, Mother." She admitted. "He's the only male that paid attention to me.. especially after I got sick of Estevan. I think he does deserve the truth."

ASESINO, GEMINOR
Asesino couldn't let any of her children fall heartbroken. Little did she know, Dhalia had already, but Asesino was so troubled with everything else lately that it was of little surprise to know that Dhalia was MIA.[/ul][/blockquote]

Jasper woke up after training Dante more. His son looked as if he had been beaten severely, with the number of bruises and welts he had accumulated from training with his father. Despite the fact his son was a young adult now, Jasper was not entirely unsurprised to find his son nestled into his thick fur. Dante may have been mischievous, devious, and wily, but he was a very loving son and a protective brother. As Jasper shifted, Dante roused and adjusted his head so it was on his father's leg, looking up at him lazily. "Would you like to go for a hunt? Catch something for the family?"
Dante stood slowly, stretching and yawning, wincing a few times from the new soreness. "Yeeeeeaaaaaaahhhhh," he yawned. "You never eat it, though." A soft smirk appeared and Jasper ruffled his son's mane as he stood.
Shortly after exiting the dens, father and son happened upon mother and daughter. Jasper tilted his head and Dante nodded and they approached, Jasper giving his mate a lick and Dante rubbing up against his sister. "What did us lazy boys miss?" Jasper inquired with a purr.

VIKTORIA CRIMSON-DONOVAN
Like a gazelle watching as a lion beared down on them for the kill, Viktoria stared at the arrival of her father and brother, about to answer her mother but was cut off. Suddenly she clamped down her muzzle - she didn't want her father to know.. as much as she loved and adored him, his power was godlike when it come to making him angry. For him to find out.. she shuddered to think what he would do to Zalui.
She was nudged out of her fear and surprise by Dante, and gave a small smile to him. With Dhalia gone, Dante was the only sibling that she saw nowadays, although he was rode hard most days by their father. Training.. for whatever. Viktoria didn't really have any interest in it. At least she had an excuse now.
She bristled uncomfortably and answered before anyone else could. "N-Nothin' much - just catching up with Geminor before he.. she.. loses their mind." She gave a look to the old feline, still caught up in whatever. Stuck with a failing brain. It was a sad sight to see.

ASESINO & GEMINOR
Asesino said, somewhat backing Viktoria's story. It wasn't an outright lie -- Asesino couldn't do that to her loving mate and handsome son. They had been talking, just not directly to Geminor. The hermaphrodite, thankfully, didn't seem to disagree. Shi seemed a bit blank honestly, but that was the norm' lately. "What're you boys up to besides being lazy?" She asked.[/ul][/blockquote]

Viktoria just nodded, not making eye contact with her father or brother. She was embarassed in front them, to be honest. She felt stupid and worthless, flinging herself into something that she hadn't taken for importance until it was too late. Her feelings about Zalui were being doubted too. She really didn't want to talk about it.
Her ears pricked up at Asesino's commitment to backing up her lie - for that, she was immensely grateful for. She could always rely on her mother to look out for her.
