VERDAMMT, SESSIAN
[/i] He asked, nudging the children toward the okapi. Verdammt shrugged as he sat down. "The usual.. saw a cave entrance. Zehn and I are going to head back shortly to see if it's in decent living conditions."[/ul][/blockquote]

Zehn FermentThe male smiled at Sessian and looked at the cubs, winking. "If it all checks out, we might have a new place to explore." Had to make sure it was cub-proof first and foremost, and he didn't mention where it could be in the off chance the cubs got a little bit of wanderlust going on and slipped from Sessian's hawk-like gaze. "It's fairly covered in growth so it seems to be pretty discreet. Can't say what it looks like inside because of it, though." He rolled his shoulders and stretched, glad to be rid of the weight of their hunt. Alright, ready to go! "I'll eat when we come back so save some for me." And just like that he was bounding away, pausing to be sure not to get too far ahead of Verdammt.

VERDAMMT, SESSIAN
[/i] He said, then returned to watching his children and eating. Verdammt nodded to Sessian, got to his paws, and followed hastily after Zehn. At his side they walked back to where they had seen the entrance. "Hopefully this is a good catch. I'm tired of changing the bedding so often."[/ul][/blockquote]

Ama'asi
The little cub decided to stay with the mother. No more bugs for her. No siirrrie! Instead she watched Maylin clean their den. Ama was probably getting more in the way than being of much help. The damp leaves and bedding that came flying out she would pounce with triumphant mews. As Zehn and Verd returned with a meal, Ama'asi paused in her playing to approach. The cub rubbed between Sessian's legs before seating herself on his paw. "Really!? When can we go see!!?" She asked excitedly, looking between all three males. When she couldn't go at the very moment, she huffed dramatically but the pout was soon replaced with hunger.

Zehn FermentSilly cub, asking when, not if. Their naivete was adorable, and it'd been fortunate that as of yet, they'd seen no real hardships. "We'll let you know when we return." He gave the little one a kind smile, and was off, following Verdammt back.
He flicked his ear at the entrance, nothing of note being heard. The overgrowth wasn't too hard to deal with, a little bit of pulling at the roots that fell over the entrance and the vines could be ignored, and he crept in, squinting as his eyes adjusted to the extreme darkness.
What he saw honestly surprised him.
Some of the walls had little drawings, and in the corner, a pile of bones looking like they belonged to a gorilla. This cave had been used before and abandoned though for what reason wasn't readily apparent. The flooring was in a fair state--smooth stone but layers of dirt caked it. The ceiling was fair too, water only dripping from isolated patches of stalactites which meant they could avoid such places, large enough for more members than they had currently, and had a branching depth that piqued his interest more than anything so far. He could hear running water--an underground river? He minded his steps carefully as he advanced, sparing a glance at Verdammt to make sure of where he was.
And, to his glee, he was correct--there was a flowing stream, not too fast so as to cause concern, and to the side, the stone formed an adequate walkway. Further in had more remnants of life, old tools and some paintings, and small crystals that seemed to react to movement, or water, he wasn't sure which. A stalagmite dripped onto one causing it to faintly flutter between shining and darkness, whereas the stream had a few under the surface that permanently shone bright.
He loved this place already.
As for where the stream came and went, it seemed to flow up and back down to some source of water, coming from cracks in the cave wall and he couldn't see nor did he want to venture in the tiny exit. "We could place sticks over this as a grating so none of the cubs try a free ride." The first thing he'd said so far about all this, but as if his expressions weren't telltale enough, this sealed the fact he was all for moving here. He looked to Verdammt, smiling widely.

VERDAMMT, SESSIAN
[/i] Verdammt said, but he smiled back at Zehn. "I think this'll make a great new home, no?" He tilted his head as he looked around. "A bit of cleaning up is in order, but otherwise, very nice. Should we rid of the skeleton and then head back and bring the gang here?" He asked, wanting Zehn's input. Back at the current camp. After Zehn and Verdammt left, Sessian stretched and stood. "Hopefully they'll be back with good news and we can move into a new, dry home. Doesn't that sound like fun?" He asked with a smile.[/ul][/blockquote]

Zehn FermentHe nodded and began to shuffle the bones out the entrance--a little slow-going seeing that there were so many and no ligaments were there to hold any of it together. A little eerie and once he did get it out of the cave he passed it a questioning look, but old bones weren't going to respond. He merely covered it with some leaves then and looked to Verdammt. "Ready to spread the good news?"

VERDAMMT, SESSIAN
[/i] He turned and headed back for their current camp, their soon to be old camp. They would need to rustle it up and make it seem like no one had lived there before. It was just a precaution, should anyone, or anything, go that way and think it a good idea to try and track them. "We'll take what supplies we can to the new den." Verdammt said as they walked back into the camp. Sessian looked up and nodded to them both. "So, got us a new home yet?" He asked with a grin. Verdammt nodded. "That's great! Hear that, kids? We're gonna go to a new, better home. Better get ready, huh?" Said the father to his children. There wasn't much to prepare. He stood up and readied himself to take the children to this cave-den of sorts, which Verdammt took a moment to explain to Sessian before turning back to Zehn. "So we'll lead them back to the new camp, get it cozy and set up, then head out and look for some small kill just to stock up. Maybe we'll get lucky, come across someone else willing to join our little family, huh?" He said, half jokingly. It was unlikely to happen. Jungle was huge and their home was deep in the terrain. Safe, but isolated. At least they could boast being experienced jungle hunters. He wondered how long it would be until Sessian's young ones would be old enough to hunt. Shouldn't be too long, right?[/ul][/blockquote]
