Pathetic. Absolutely unbelievable!!
When she agreed -- clearly lying through her teeth to win Kay's favor -- to be returned, she hadn't expected to be thrown in with the masses of them. With those D'animaux...! She nearly gagged at the thought.
So as soon as Sieben, Reggie and his cub Antebellum were coherent enough to get up and walk, they disappeared that night into the darkness to start a separate trek, not necessarily heading for the same destination, considering all of their "pride" was already present. No, there was no need to find family, when thankfully everyone was accounted for. No, their goal was to regroup. Find a new territory, and then get back to he rmain focus.
She already had her next step planned, when the time is right, seeing that damned Sickle with another female, unknown to her, her daughter Gallows, and one of Diabetic's orphaned cubs that she left to Sieben's choice of fate. Interesting that he let them live, but she couldn't fault him for that small hiccup. If anything, he probably figured that without a mother, they wouldn't last long anyways even after the body was found. And who knows? Maybe the little brat was the only survivor.
Too bad they didn't count on so many willing mothers within their pride to nurse them and keep them strong.
A cruel grin made her whiskers twitch, and Reggie quirked a brow over at her, the Quixito carrying his young one on his back so she could rest. With her little body, it was taking a bit longer to fully come to her senses, so he figured a bit more actual rest might do her some good. "What is it?" He hrm'd, rather not liking that glint in her eye. Such a peaceful soul, she wondered if he knew exactly what he was in for yet.
She knew Sieben did, flicking her tail, and she watched him trot ahead with a stiff nod and a grunt. If there was any food to be had to lend them their strength back, then he'd be the one to find it.
"Nothing, Reggie. Just thinking, that's all." She purred, leading onward through the barren wastes. Surely there was someplace out there for them left untouched....
