Kinyaa Xeada Kinyaa had just finished settling into her old home. So much had to be done. The dens cleaned out and leaves moved. Old bones and discarded food stores were cleared away and buried. The medicine stores were wiped clean and would need restocking. Just so much to do, but for now it was time to relax. The heat was nearly unbearable here. The waters were very low and even the waterfall seemed to nearly cease. Kinyaa only hoped that new life would be breathed back into this once beautiful home. You should be careful what you wish for. The ground suddenly quaked. A violent tremor that brought down trees and broke apart some of the cliff. But the devastation was mild compared to what nearby lands were getting. At least, from the quake. Kinyaa stood there as the quake died down and an eerie silence took hold. There were no birds singing. No crickets chirping.. It was just silent. The kind of silence that would drive you insane. Then, suddenly, a low rumble began to wash over the land, followed close by a loud bang in the distance. Confused, Kinyaa moved from one of the dens to the mouth of the falls. The river that supplied it was nearly dried up.. ...Until that low rumbling became very loud. A rush of water surged into the river so suddenly. The fall exploded into a gushing torrent and the parched land couldn't handle the sudden water. The rush did not stop and soon Kin felt water at her paws. The land was quickly flooding. The Waters couldn't handle the Tsunami's massive water surge. Kinyaa backed off of the river and moved to a nearby den. She was on the high ground but for how long?

Adonis, Callows, Flare, Gemba, Kinei, Kyleus, Vinyaa
It had not taken long for the six of them to have found each other. It was as if fate had brought them together, one by one. If not for some of their similarities - or those tell tale signs of their mother's mixed among them - the mane, wings, eyes - they probably never would have bothered. But as it was, one by one, they came across each other, learned of each other, and realized they were connected. Half siblings - all but Flare, Kinei, and Gemba. It was odd for some of them. Adonis and Callows in particular who'd never really interacted with any others - not even each other until they stumbled upon the lot of them.
But it hadn't taken long at all for them to realize that half siblings or not - they weren't treating each other like it. Gemba more often that not found herself draping over Adonis or Callows, nomming on their ears in playful jest. Flare had taken up after Gemba, battering them around whenever she'd felt they'd needed a stern talking to. Kinei had pulled Kyleus and Vinyaa into more than one hug and had often pinned them down with his weight alone. But it wasn't long before they'd heard rumors floating around. Of a woman named Kinyaa Xeada returning to Emerald Waters. Their old home. Their only home.
But it was just as they'd entered it that hell seemingly broke loose. Knocked off their paws, stumbling, and attempting to get back up - it was all for naught until it calmed down. They glanced around at each other, startled, before Kinei tilted his head. "We need to get to mother. Now." With nods all around, the seven of them took off with Kinei at the head. But even they recalled the silence that took over the place and fear slowly trickled within them. Nothing was this quiet. Nothing was ever so silent that the thundering of their own paws roared through their own ears. And yet, they all skidded to a halt at the sight before them. Flare and Gemba ruffled their feathers and Kinei took in a sharp breath.
And there, in the distance after a thorough looking, Vinyaa nodded. "Mom." It was the only word that was said but it had all seven of them taking off once more, rushing up the sides of the hills. She'd probably seen them already - that much was obvious, but they had to get to her. When Vinyaa slipped at the gush of water that reached them, Kinei was the one to pull her up. When Kinei nearly fell from his pause, Kyleus grasped him and jerked him back to his paws. When Flare and Gemba nearly lost their footing, Adonis and Callows pushed them forward. They called for her, as they raced forward.

Haijulikani Xaeda • Bahati Xaeda-Imani
It had been a long time since he had seen this part of the world, and the way the world split and rocked, it had never been by his eyes before. He started to wonder if his mother was even here to begin with. If he couldn't find her, his cub would surely die, and his promise to the dead lioness would be in vain. Not that it had mattered before, he simply went on his merry way exploring the world, while females who humored him or whom he humored were sure to have his cubs. He wasn't sure just how many were out there, but considering recent events, he couldn't help but hope his distant offspring were alright.
At the moment, his highest priority was keeping little Bahati alive. The male soared over the broken land, the cub having stopped squirming and squealing, instead dangling quietly, perhaps having been rocked to sleep. Nothing caught his eye outside of his mothers realm, so he ventured inward. The disaster wrecked this place as well, and he was feeling less and less confident until he saw a small band of lions. He barely recognized his brother Adonis, and did not recognize the others. Feeling a sense of relief, he watched their path and followed it until he saw exactly who he was looking for, his mother. Relief turned into a small ache as he realized it had been years since he had seen her, and he was going to push this new cub onto her. But who else could he trust. Gliding down behind the other lions, he bounded after them, his loping gate awkward with the cub in his jaws.
