Equinox "Nox" Donovan-Faire
The sky was gray, little bits of sun leaking through wisps of clouds that dappled the grey terrain around him. Nox was a bright red and orange spot on such an ugly plot of land, and that made him feel a little smug to know that he was more beautiful than what he walked upon. But whoever lived here was clearly insane. He wasn't stupid enough to be ignorant of what caused the warmth beneath his paws. No matter how far it truly was, it was not far enough for his tastes.
He had been walking for quite a while, so much so that his coral paws were sullied with ash. It stunk of sulfur here too, the hot, billowing plumes of gas that emit from bubbling pools of stagnant water made him feel a bit sick. But it was familiar, somehow this land felt familiar to him in all of it's unpleasantness. Nox couldn't remember much of his past, only that there had been an argument, bloodshed, and he was running away in pure terror. Over the years since that moment, that day had slipped from his mind completely save for a few snippets that reminded him nightly that something terrible happened and that it was likely his fault.
Since then, he had been alone. Females did not catch his eyes though he did try his hardest to swoon them, and the males he fancied never gave him so much of a glance. Being solitary wasn't all that bad if that was your sort of thing. But Nox was a family kind of guy, a guy who needed some kind of interaction; solitude was most certainly not his thing.
And that was why he was currently on this journey, to find his family. He had almost thought out a complete apology for his disappearance, but the most important issue was still missing from his mind; what had he done? He knew he had problems with anger, when prey managed to escape him, he hunted it down and completely shredded it, sometimes refusing to eat it at all. Afterwards, he was haunted by his actions. It scared him. Had he done something that atrocious to his family? Was he walking back to be potentially killed by those he wished to remember?
Even with the nagging thoughts, he did not stop walking. He was glad he had drank a lot of water before coming here, none of the water here was drinkable, as far as he could tell anyway. Maybe he was wrong, maybe no one lived here. With the sulfur smell, he couldn't smell any pride scents. Not even rogue scents. Huffing, he decided to pause and do something dangerous. He had wings, if shit hit the fan, he'd just fly the hell out of there.
"Hello? Does anyone live here?" He called out and winced to himself, almost saying 'this dump'. Well it was a dump. It wasn't beautiful enough for him, but perhaps he would appear more desirable here.

Anyone in Sicarius is welcome to join Blair and Catalyst on patrol~ Patrolling Blair Fearless-Rampant; Catalyst Faire-PetrenkoWithin the Territory Morphine Krow-Fearheart; Muse Choiseul; Teagan Choiseul-Mercer; Vick CrimsonOther Kismet Donovan-FaireKismet had wondered into the Ashlands, partially because she had caught wind of a familiar scent, though the scent had become quite muddled ever since entering the area. She had been exploring for a long time, but now that she thought she had seen everything there is to see, she thought of settling down. What luck, too, that she had stumbled upon her brother's scent. Honestly, she wasn't sure why her brother had decided to wander into such a crude place. It smelled terrible and the grey clouds blotted out the sun. It was no wonder why they called this place Volcanic Ashlands. Why had her brother left in the first place, though? There had been an argument..right? Kismet's memories from that time were quite vague. Her approach was silent, even a bit cautious, but she saw the vibrant colors that belonged to her brother Equinox. Her own pelt was bright red, but her belly was dark grey, her eyes a light lime-green color. Her mane had grown quite a bit since she last saw her brother, and it started out red- just like their father's- but then turned darker and darker as it reached her back. Her marking was also multicolored, going from a deeper red than her pelt, to a vibrant yellow near her rump. " Nox?" She called out, her tone hopeful. - - - Catalyst had set out on a patrol, Blair joined him once she saw that he had been leaving the camp. He had not asked for assistance, simply let others join him as he walked through the camp. He made small talk with any that joined him, asking things like how they were and so on. Blair responded with pleasantries of her own, but was otherwise occupied with keeping her eyes peeled on the horizon. Catalyst also kept his eyes open for any movement in the distance, but it wasn't until a few minutes later that they spotted a somewhat vibrant creature. " Catalyst," " I see him..or her," He assured the black and red female. He then caught sight of another coming up behind the stranger in question. However, his attention was on the first one as it spoke, and Catalyst confirmed that the voice was male. Catalyst started over to the two strangers, Blair followed after him almost immediately. " Hello, hello, what brings you out to this lovely place on this fine day?" Sarcasm aside, he did want to know their intentions.

I know I said it in Meur chat but just to be clear here too - this is days before the journey to Volcyne and more than that, before Catalyst was promoted to Legato c:
Mahya II, Kurai, Toir, Adhemar, Aresis, Camille, Ellek, Jacquelyn, Karissa, Menacia II, Riddick, Tension, Virus
Nikita
Menacia II had join the patrol out of curiosity. She'd kept pleasantries low as she hadn't had much to add - nor was she all too much of a talker, but having Aresis - the other female whom joined - and Blair more than made up for that it seemed. The two females saw it the same time Catalyst and Blair had but they'd said nothing as it was immediately addressed. When they approached and Catalyst spoke - Menacia couldn't help but snort, however unladylike it was. "Professional." She quipped quietly in a playful jest towards Catalyst. She wasn't stupid - she'd seen how often he hung around their leaders nor how easily Mahya had accepted him within her trust circle. It was quite astounding really - and amusing. Toir and her uncle truthfully hadn't taken too well to it. Yet.
Aresis snickered under her breath but said nothing herself. They awaited the reply from the male - not noticing another red being that approached from a different direction.
Nikita had been upon one of the higher mountain tops for quite sometime - curiosity haven brought her here but she'd done nothing but watch - and catch the unfortunate prey that had flown to close to her. She'd done without water, for now, but knew it wouldn't be much longer before she was forced down from her perch. However, seeing two familiar beings approaching, the ess decided now couldn't be a more better time. For now, however, she waited from high above - not catching the conversation but clearly seeing her two siblings.

Equinox "Nox" Donovan-Faire
At first, Nox thought he was completely insane for even coming out here. He was so certain no one in their right mind would even be trekking this far into the volcano, well, aside from his crazy ass. But low and behold, his call was answered, and the voice was familiar. Turning, multicolored eyes gazed onto the form that he knew immediately was his sister Kismet. All of his siblings were kaleidoscopic in their own right, but Kismet was nothing less of a rainbow to him. With her red and yellow markings on her back, to her monochromatic red hair and bright green eyes. He was ever so slightly jealous of her beauty. He merely stared at her for a moment, then turned to face her and begun to speak.
"Kismet...it's been so long." His eyes softened, nearly welling up as he was so enthralled to see someone who he knew, but his head snapped to the side when he saw others, others he did not know. He instinctively moved closer to her, his orange and red stripped wings lifting from his sides protectively.
"Greetings." While there were no signs of submission in his posture, there was no hint of aggression either. He did however, smirk at the sarcasm, he appreciate it to be honest. "I was looking for my family, and I recalled this place from long ago." He turned to look to his sister out of the corner of his eye. "And I am happy to say I found one." His eyes flicked back to the male, and it was hard for him not to mention how handsome the other was. His yellow mane and eyes popped off his dark red and black pelt nicely. His other red-winged sister, Niki, went unnoticed for now.

When Menacia spoke, he couldn't help but smirk, "Why thank you, I do try." It was quite obvious by his tone that he knew the female had been joking. Since his attention was on the two strangers in front of him, he did not catch sight of the other who was at a higher elevation.
Kismet smiled as her brother spoke, glad that it truly was him. It had been so long, just as he said. She opened her mouth to speak, but was halted by the voice of another. She moved slightly closer to her brother on instinct, glad that she was not alone. She decided to stay silent for now, but she did give her brother an encouraging smile when he turned to her.
Catalyst raised a brow at the males words, though he had not introduced himself. "The pride called Sicarius resides here." Though Catalyst believed it to be a temporary hell. "Perhaps if there was a name of some sort to go off of we could determine if your family is here or not?" The male looked rather colorful, especially against the dull grey of their surroundings. "My name is Catalyst Faire-Petrenko, a humble servant of Queen Mahya II." The female was colorful in her own way too, she had a rather striking marking if he did say so himself. Blair simply observed their surroundings, making sure no one else was nearby.
Although, when she took note of the males wings, a thought struck her. So, her gaze started to go higher and higher until eventually her eyes found a lone red figure. She kept her eyes on target, but her tail gently brushed against Aresis to grab her attention. She hoped the female would understand without words.
Kismet perked up slightly when the male introduced himself. The fact that they were related in some way was not lost on her. "My name is Kismet Donovan-Faire, and this is my brother Equinox Donovan-Faire." She told them politely, although she knew Sicarius had not been the first pride that resided here. She wondered at the likelihood that the family they were looking for would even be here. "Perhaps anyone with that surname?" She doubted her parents were here, and both the Donovan and Faire family names were carried by many so there was no guarantee for that.

Mahya II, Kurai, Toir, Adhemar, Aresis, Camille, Ellek, Jacquelyn, Karissa, Menacia II, Riddick, Tension, Virus
Nikita
Menacia snorted softly again, shaking her head slightly before the two whom were now known as Equinox and Kisment finished speaking. Her brow drew inwards and she tilted her head slightly. "Plenty here with the name Donovan and Faire." She spoke as she stepped closer to Catalyst to stand beside him. "Whom are your parents?"
And as Menacia spoke, Aresis felt Blair's gentle touch and immediately followed her gaze. Her fur bristled - she already wasn't sure about the two before them - Donovan-Faires... She wondered whom their parents were like Menacia asked but this one above them... Would they attack?
Nikita's eyes watched them eagerly but it wasn't much longer before they began to look up - and she sighed. Curse the thoughts of looking up these days. She made her way down slowly and carefully, disrupting ash and rocks as she did so very obviously, her eyes on her siblings more so than the patrol. "Nikita Donovan-Faire." She said before anyone could question her. And as if some sixth sense told her to go on - she answered a question she wasn't even aware had been asked. "Daughter of Nemesis Donovan and Arcana Faire. It's good to see you two up and about, Kismet, Equinox." Her smile was as gentle as ever.
And Aresis bristled further. They were her siblings?!

Equinox "Nox" Donovan-Faire
Sicarius, hm.... That name didn't ring much of a bell to Nox, but he took note of the name. It was comforting to have his sister there, especially after all these years. She didn't seem too put off at his absense, which was relieving in and of itself. When the male spoke, he rose a brow. Faire? Was this one some distant family? He did not say anything however, for Kismet was already quick to cover up his mistake in not having manners. Oops. he briefly bit his tongue as a sorta mental kick, before nodding. "We would appreciate to know." He added gently with a dip of his head. Unlike his sister, he was sort of confident, considering Catalyst's surname. He had found her, who's to say they couldn't be here?
And once more, he felt elated when Menacia spoke. He couldn't help his eyes widen at the prospect. Opening his maw to speak however, he noted the females looked and followed them skyward. The figure was hard to see in the light, just a silhouette in the sky. He ever so slightly bristled, his tail moving in a sort of protective gesture around his sister. His wings were ready to take flight should he need it.
But he was more than surprised when the figure landed, taking no pause to state her name. He knew her before she moved her lips. Nikita. Another smile graced his maw, and he visible relaxed. "Niki." He gesture for her to stand with them, then looked to the others, not even noticing Aresis' look for the time being.
"There you have it." He almost laughed. "Any information...we would appreciate it." He looked over the faces of the others, now falling on Aresis. "Are you alright, Miss?"

Patrolling Blair Fearless-Rampant; Catalyst Faire-PetrenkoWithin the Territory Morphine Krow-Fearheart; Muse Choiseul; Teagan Choiseul-Mercer; Vick CrimsonOther Kismet Donovan-FaireCatalyst was a bit surprised that the two carried both the Donovan and Faire surnames, and it seemed they were related in some way. He did not outwardly express his surprise or intrigue, carefully remaining neutral on the matter. Thinking to himself, he knew that his mother had been Trojan Faire, and her mother had been Narcis Faire.. who's parents were Freesia and Amenthus. Sometimes he wondered how he could remember all of that. Now, all he needed to know where their parents and so he could determine their relationship. In all likelihood, he guessed cousins. He glanced at Menacia as she asked the question he had just been wondering about. Blair's fur had raised slightly, but was otherwise rather calm about the matter. Perhaps it was simply her experience? Movement is what Catalyst to finally lay eyes on the female, slightly frowning at himself for not noticing sooner. Ah. Another Donovan-Faire. He glanced back at Aresis- she sure as hell didn't seem happy about any of this. Ah, wait. Wasn't Aresis' mother Arcana? He grinned, " Oh, you have a half-sibling or two here." He didn't mention it was Aresis and Illirra- who was back at camp. " Cousins, maybe even aunts and uncles, but Nemesis nor Arcana are here. I believe I would be counted as your Nephew..You three are the first Donovan-Faire's we've met, though." Well, as a pride anyways. He wasn't necessarily speaking for any of the members and their past encounters. Kismet had turned to look at Nikita, wary at first but when recognition hit her, she instantly brightened up. " Niki!" Her excitement and happiness from reuniting with her siblings was starting to overflow. However, she stopped short of saying her greetings as Catalyst spoke. Her brows raised slightly at the news of him being a nephew. Half-siblings? She had never met them before, so curiosity instantly struck her. When Nox asked if one of the females was okay, she looked at her. She seemed..agitated.. at the very least. Kismet shifted slightly, edging closer to her brother.

Nikita turned to her siblings and completed the final leap down to their sides eagerly enough, pressing her nose into both of their furs as she greeted them before turning back to the others as Catalyst spoke. So they did have family here after all. Excitement bubbled within her and she looked between her siblings breifly. "I think I'd like to join then." She murmured, loud enough to be heard by all.
Aresis merely turned away and began the trek back to camp, ignoring the question about her well being. She'd already had to deal Sith half siblings from.her father's side. Now she had to deal from her mother's side. This was soo not okay! Her parents were together and always would be. Nemesis was their fathers name. Not Tamesis. If she ever got her paws on him...
Menacia sighed and gave a soft shake of her head. "Well, let's head back to camp, shall we?" She asked Catalyst softly.

Equinox "Nox" Donovan-Faire
Half-siblings! Nox had to fight himself from gaping at the group before him. He was even more shocked to find out that the male was somehow his nephew. It was weird how that worked out. He decided not to comment on it, but he did feel more relaxed around everyone. Being relaxed was good, it meant he was far from getting any sort of angry.
Nox saw his sister Kismet move closer to him, and he was quick to reassure her with a brush of his tail. He was surely confident that while his parents weren't there, perhaps his other family that resided here might know something. His eyes turned to Nikita as she suddenly proclaimed that she wanted to join Sicarus. Being rogue for so long, the thought of joining a pride was a little terrifying. But if his sister was to join, he might as well too. He looked to Kismet, his gaze soft.
"I think it would be a good idea to join. We might be able to find the rest of our family that way." He offered her a smile. "Let's join with Nikita, and be a family once again." He moved to follow after the others slowly, but still looking to Kismet, hoping she would follow.
