Erin Imbier, Bryce Harlett- ChoiseulHe shouldn't be here. Well, not on his own, at least, that much he knew for sure. Sickle would have have his tail for that nursery full of cubs playtoy if she found out!
Ha. Who was he kidding? It wasn't a matter of if, it was a matter of when. The second he arrived home, with or without prey, with or without any useful information, she'd find out. She'd smell the strange land on him and start asking questions. Questions he didn't even really know the answers to himself. What was he after? He wasn't sure. Curiosity was always his downfall, and this time was no different, traveling quite aways before coming across a scentmarker of all things. Out here! Who knew?
Another pride. Possibly one not much bigger or smaller than theirs. A new pride full of potential. Possibilities that Edel certainly couldn't give them. Not with the dark path their Queen was forcing them to go down. So he paced for the longest time, at war with himself, before he finally decided -- He was already here, he was already considering it, so why not go ahead and take that chance. At least this place wasn't like that marshy swamp they had first come across, where that odd group Sygian Fierte resided. He'd have to ask Sickle if she's had any contact with them again as of late. Or even with that Dhalia woman she told him she once heard through a bird. What other strange beasts and things alike were to be discovered in this place now?
And besides, whoever resided here could always say no, turn him away. Either way, there were worse options for him on either side in the end if they actually turned out to be hostile. So he crossed his toes, his tail, anything he could, letting out a call to signal his position. Then, lucky (or unlucky) enough, someone was already out and about, ready to meet him head-on. A crimson male, looked and smelled like a Hellion. Hooboy, not what he was expecting. He'd heard about these types before, how...Extreme they could be. Better be careful. "Who are you. Name yourself." They ordered and he exhaled, offering a bit of a smile.
"I am Erin Imbier. An ambassador of sorts to the D'animaux pride." He introduced. "And I am here to speak with your King and Queen, if they'll have me."
"Well, Ambassador Erin. That is for them to decide. I am Bryce Harlett-Choiseul, a member of Avanguardia Della Notte." The other revealed as much information as he cared to a total stranger like this, holding his ground, fully expecting more of his pridemates to come to his assisstance at any moment. It wasn't as if this Caeruleus male was being quiet about his arrival in their lands. With any luck, it could even be the dominants themselves! Cut out the middleman. But, he wouldn't get his hopes up on such, and so here they stood, red and blue, caught in a silent waiting game. Blair, LAD i got a little mini-idea we all need to catch eachother on skype here p soon :D))

gamble & peroxide Grimoire had heard the roar, but remained inside the oasis, tending to her chores. There was no need for a healer to greet an outsider. Though, that didn't subtract from her curiosity. Gamble had been lazing around at the edge of the oasis when he heard the call. Jumping into action, he headed straight for it. However, it seemed he was not the first to arrive. Gamble did not speak, he simply eyed the stranger, hoping to find some sort of clue in the way he carried himself. Hearing "Ambassador Erin" from Bryce peaked his curiosity. What could another pride want with them? They were small still, not much could be offered- especially if the pride in question is much larger.
Peroxide had been watching Peroxine and Rancid play fight and rough house with each other when the call came. He glanced over at his mate, Mora, and he was sure she shared the same look as he. Suspicion was clear in his eyes, even before he met the stranger. Their home was quite small, and one would have to trek through a whole desert to find- and even then it seemed more unlikely. He found the group relatively easy, Bryce and Gamble seemed to be here already. " And who is this? " He questioned upon seeing the blue and white feline. " Bryce addressed him as 'ambassador Erin', I did not catch for what pride. " Gamble gave a respectful dip, informing as to what he knew, then looked to Bryce. He figured the other Choiseul would fill their Emperor in on the rest.

Moracine Tempest, Srinie Tempest
Srinie hadn't been near her mother this time around. She'd been wandering the borders when the call went out and curious, she made her way over remaining within the confines of the tree lines, green eyes narrowed. Her 'mother' had taught her well as she listened to the exchange of words. But it wasn't long before paw steps at her side drew her attention.
Moracine had heard the call but felt no inclination to get up as she watched her little gems. Still... A shared look with Peroxide and a heavy sigh escaped her and she moved to his side, giving the soft order to 'stay here' to her babies before she turned away. She knew they'd listen, because she had taught them well. When mama had to go, she needed them to listen to her and do as she said. Srinie wasn't around to watch them, but that made no difference to her - not when she found her peering out of the borderline of the trees. Flicking her tail against Pero's side, she moved toward Srinie - still out of sight of whomever their visitor was and spoke softly with her. One brow raise, "an ambassador of sorts"? What the hell was an ambassador "of sorts"?
Still she gave Srinie a lick atop of her head and the teenager returned back to the den just as Moracine joined Peroxide out in the open alongside Bryce and Gamble. She had no patience however for waiting for Bryce or even Gamble to fill them in for that matter as she merely looked straight at their new comer. "Let him re-introduce himself and tell us why he is here, hmm?" Her voice was soft as it always was, but commanding - maybe even a tad demanding - as it generally was when she wanted something done. Still, her tail brushed gently against Bryce's flank in silent gratitude for being here the moment the feline showed and in silent apology should he have taken offence. Moracine was just vexed to be away from her children.

Erin Imbier, Bryce Harlett- ChoiseulA few more showed up, two more males, perhaps the same age, or one older and one younger? And then yet another, a female this time. Excellent, excellent. He kept his trap shut for a good long while yet still though, letting them all catch up on what was going on before he jumped right into it, dipping his head in greeting to each of them, being sure to mind his manners as he was now well in full 'custody' of their territory. Time to pour on the charm that his Dominante loved so much... The Bryce fellow who first met him a few moments ago stood up a bit straighter at the two larger beasts in particular when they started speaking, and it didn't exactly take rocket science to come to the educated guess that these were the King and Queen in question he was looking for.
"Yes, of course m'lady." The Hellion reiterated for them as his pridemate Gamble also put in his two cents. And now that they seemed to be caught up enough for him to continue, for them to know enough of what was going on, the Caeruleus cleared his throat. "Ah, first off let me offer my apologies and my sincerest greetings. I didn't mean to stir up any trouble, but I've traveled quite a long way, and I would be grateful if you'd take the time to listen to what I have to say." He started. "I am Erin Imbier, an ambassador coming all the way from the forest territory of D'animaux, under the leadership of her majesty Sickle Meccariello." He repeated, and again here he dipped his head. "I was requesting the presence of this Avanguardia Della Notte's rulers in her place, and I can only hope that the beasts standing before me are them?" He offered, brows raised curiously.
"I know she would much rather be here with me, but lately there has been some unfortunate troubles in our home that she has had to deal with first. We have many new young cubs in the camp, and their safety is her top priority. I'm sure you understand." He explained, knowing full well how shady this whole business sounded without his Queen at his side.

peroxide Peroxide didn't see any point in trying to deceive the visitor- to lead him to believe that he wasn't speaking to the dominants- both of the Choiseuls had given enough signs wether they meant to or not. However, it wasn't necessary for a crowd to remain. "Gamble, Bryce, both of you are dismissed. Stay on lookout, however, should any more... guests show up." Though he was sure Erin meant no harm, there was no way he could trust the word of a stranger. It was odd for an ambassador to travel alone, he could have friends lying in wait or scouting out the area for all Peroxide knew. Gamble immediately took his leave at the Emperor's behest, deciding to go on a quick patrol.
Peroxide indulged the fellow and listened, but his ears flicked when Erin mentioned the cubs back in his own territory and that he was sure that complete strangers would understand. This did not sit well in Peroxide's mind. How could he possibly know we have cubs? A mere guess? Coincidence? Just because a male and female stand before him? Whatever it was, Pero didn't like the sound of this male coming from the forest just to find a pride he shouldn't know exists.
"You have our attention, Erin Imbier of D'animaux. What is it you want?" Peroxide got straight to the point, his voice was commanding and face plain, not even a trace of emotion. Though, that did not mean he would just accept whatever the ambassador had to say. Having never traveled through the forest before, he was not too informed about D'animaux.

Hey Katty, can you read posts a little more carefully? Srinie wasn't ever in sight of Erin. ♥
Moracine Tempest
Moracine's ears flicked when her mate spoke, her eyes narrowed dangerously on the male before her. But even still, nothing passed through her gaze to let male before them suspect anything about her nature. She waited, however, for both Gamble and Bryce to leave beyond their sights - waiting even a little more to make sure they were gone before she spoke up to this Erin male before her. "Riddle me this Erin Imbier: your queen from a pride we've never heard of, sent you from a lovely forest, through a desert to find something you weren't even sure was going to be here - which I know for a fact as we have not made a name for ourselves - and sent you alone on top of this, not knowing if we were a hostile bunch? For what reason is this?" Moracine left her mate's side, slowly beginning to circle around the male. She kept her distance of course, but years of being Peroxide's second and now his mate with her own family had made her beyond wary of others. Erin was no different.
"It doesn't make sense if you ask me. And how do we even know your pride truly exists? As I said, we haven't made a name for ourselves. We haven't been wandering around, searching for other prides to get acquainted with. Sounds to me as if you've been spying a bit. Or purposefully seeking prides out and just hoping to stumble across one. How did you even know we were a pride and what could you possibly want with us?" She asked, coming to a stop at Peroxide's other side now. She'd finished sizing him up. Fear would make him run faster and would be the only way he'd get away. She hoped she instilled some of that fear within him. It was far too suspicious.

Erin Imbier, Bryce Harlett- ChoiseulAs he figured, they weren't at all reassured by him. Which was fine, it was easy to let their stiff, calloused words roll off of him. They didn't have to listen, that was their choice, and if they wanted him to leave, then so be it. He gave a nod of farewell to Gamble and Bryce when they vanished to finish whatever it was they were doing before, patrols or hunting or what have you, and he shifted on his paws, making himself a bit more comfortable. His brows raised, giving a little half-smile when the still-unnamed male decided he would here him out. Good, he just might have a paw in the door. This was his only chance, he needed to make it count. Then, the female started talking, and he gave her his full attention, nodding slowly as he absorbed her words. She was a smart, insightful female. Clearly Queen material, much more calmer than his own, it seemed. Sickle had a temper about her, but he supposed leaders varied from pride to pride. "Of course." He spoke when she was finished, prepared to answer anything they might need of him. This was different than meeting with some outsider stranger, he figured he could show them a bit more trust than that, give them a tad more information than he usually would. After all, you get what you give. "My Queen does not know I am here, actually. I am out scouting alone. To find help." He admitted, brows knit as he recalled first finding Mok's body out on his territory.
"My Lady would not openly accept help, she's far too proud. It's unfortunate that I have to go behind her back like this. But I am her righthand, the father of her heirs, so I can council her when it comes to what's best for our pride." He explained, careful not to label himself as King. No way, not by a longshot, but he was always the calm to Sickle's storm. "D'animaux is still small, but we're growing quickly. Almost thirty members strong, so I suppose this is my way of spreading our name, as you have said. To let places beyond the forest know we are here." Even if most of them were helpless newborns...They didn't need to know any more about the cubs than the fact that they had them, he'd never put their future at stake like that so freely. "If you would like, when I make it back home and alert my Queen of our meeting, she can send another member with us upon our return here, should this go well?" He offered, unsure what this Lady was proposing for him to prove their existence other than smelling multiple scents on his pelt. "But spying? There's been nothing of the sort, I promise. At first, I didn't even know if you were here for sure, the whispers on the wind were so quiet and new I was going on a whim. I was only making my way along when I came across a scentmarker, and your Bryce alerted me, and that confirmed my hopes." And that was the truth. The world was big yes, but not so big anymore with so many groups popping up lately that people were deaf and ignorant to what was going on beyond their own doorstep. No one could afford to be so stupid and in the dark.
"You both have asked why I am here, and it's nothing more than this; Brotherhood. Allies. Mutual friendship and assistance should something rear it's ugly head that is far too much for only one group to conquer."

peroxide He loved the way his mate voiced her opinion, very similar to his own thoughts. If anything, it made him love Mora more than he already did. When Mora was by his side once again, he gave her a look only she would understand: a thank you of sorts. Though, Peroxide was more inclined to sit, listen and then judge- Mora would be the one to question everything outright. In this way, they made the perfect team.
However, Erin's next words sealed Peroxides opinion of the male. Clear distaste filled Peroxide's gaze, a visible frown had formed upon his maw the more Erin spoke. When the male was finally done, he couldn't hold back the snarl, "Do you take me for a fool, boy? First, you claim to be sent by Sickle Meccariello herself and now you say that was a lie! You claim to be her second- the father to her children- and yet you go behind her back simply because she won't openly accept help. How arrogant are you to think that she would be all right with any of this?! If my second went out to another land without my knowledge- regardless of the favor I hold for him- he would be demoted at the least if not banished for treason." His voice was cold as claws sank into the ground if only to keep himself from swiping at the "ambassador".
As he was speaking, he took one step at the start of each sentence until he was finally directly in front of Erin. He looked down at the blue male, "There is no way we can trust you after openly lying to our faces and thinking you could get away with it. Your claims mean nothing to me when it's not on the honor of the leader and I can assure you there will be no alliance." Peroxide had made his decision and it would be final. His tail flicked furiously, he waited for Mora to give her own words- as she likely would- or the male to run back home.

Moracine Tempest
The words that dropped from this males maw had her lips twitching back, wanting to curl into a snarl, but she refrained from doing so. Even if it took a lot of effort. This male was foolish to think that going behind his leaders' back was okay - even if he was a council to the lass, it didn't make it right. What if this gal didn't think anything of it and what if she had not wished to make an alliance with them because of something she'd 'heard'.
And that hearing whispers on the wind thing? Bullshit. They were a tiny group of felines, no where near enough to make an impression on anyone and the members that had joined them had not yet left their lands - their family included. They didn't even have scent markers truth be told because the Oasis was so far into the desert it didn't matter. How was it this male hadn't been spying on them? But before she could even voice this, Peroxide was speaking after the male had and she found herself wanting to nod to every word that was stated - but she refrained.
Instead she took a step past Peroxide, her face carefully neutral. "Wait." No doubt they would have intimidated the boy and he would very much like to run right now, but she had something else in mind, her tail gently laying upon Peroxide's flank. "I wish to return to your lands with you. Even if you do not give me your permission - you have already told me where you live. It is either with your consent, or without." Her voice was cold, her gaze emotionless and her eyes hard as she gaze upon this feline. Foolish, foolish boy.
