(Sorry to OOCly interject, but I've read a few times that there were outbursts/disorder. Can someone point this out to me? The only actual disorder/outburst that I noticed was Vitanali running off and then Carnal running after her after speaking out of line. s: That's hardly an outburst. Everyone else is just making faces or actually nodding in agreement?? Can someone clarify to me what's going on b/c I don't think posts are being read clearly? I'll delete my post when someone side chats me/PM's or clarifies.)

Orpheus remained silent as he watched the various reactions of the pride - but none stood out the way Carnal's did. Yet Orpheus could barely bring himself to acknowledge her as she yelled at them, roaring before seeming as if she were going to attack him, much like her own daughter had. And yet, Orpheus couldn't bring himself to see her as a threat. He did not react. Seconds after this thought passed through his mind, she took off. He blinked. Odysseia was speaking, low and soft in their ears. His ears flicked and his head tilted to her voice, her words clearing the small haze in his mind as he nodded to her. And then his brother was speaking, backing him up as he spoke to the younger generations - the ones whom have not had hardships. Not yet at least.
He was minutely surprised that Walter showed such composure after what had been shown by his own sister, but pride overrode it in moments. Orpheus found himself nodding to their words nearly immediately. Good ideas, all of them. Iarri's words made him blink, thoughts racing in his mind as he narrowed his gaze. His brother spoke before him, addressing the few statements that were made and making his thoughts clear. "A few cubs is an understatement." Orpheus stated softly, his gaze flicking over the lot of the young ones that were hanging around the meeting. Then he raised his tone higher, "We also have plenty of young that are ready to be involved further than scouts. Depending on their standing, Iarri, you may have more medics to personally train. What Walter and Nerry say goes, and we will implement it immediately for training purposes." He paused here, his eyes flashing as they landed upon Zalui and he jerked his head for the older male to join them.
"We also have to take into consideration of a plan that was being put in place before our time. Zalui will also be starting the extension of Meurtrier pride. And a select few of you are welcome to join him in the new lands to help him start the House of Xemvoi's or stay here. However, the same things that we put here will be put in place by Zalui - he will hold what we call a 'house' of the Meurtrier Pride. So what we say here, goes for him where ever he may choose to hold his lands." His gaze fell upon Iarri. "And yes, he will need medics there too. You young ones that are still scouts now will need to decide where to go - and those cubs old enough to be scouts and search for where they want their place to be, need to step up in a moment - but first, Rin, do tell us what is on your mind."
Such crappy post indeed idk what happened here.

The 'ess spoke up after the Lords have finished. "There are only a few of us medics, so perhaps we, apprentices can learn how to defend ourselves. We, the healers of Meurtrier, stubbornly refuse to perish. We're no use to anybody dead. So, as a result, I suggest these laws for medics only." A moment of silence. A serious expression made it's way upon her features, staring into the eyes of the Lords, not showing any sign of faltering, but of serenity. "We are always at war. Peace is only a break between wars, and Dante forbid should an ambush come upon us, we will be unprepared and grim. We must be prepared for anything," Pause, she spoke again. "Rule number one. No medic shall ever stop treatment until their party members have fallen. Rule number two. No medic shall ever stand on the front lines and battle. Rule number three. No medic shall ever die until they are the last of their party."
"The first one who needs your protection is yourself. You cannot hope to save another if you cannot protect yourself. Dying to save another is a warrior's fate; to die in the heat of battle. I, for one, do not seek to be remembered, to be forgotten, so that my loved ones can continue to live. Only by living can you continue to protect."
Her crimson gaze shone with a fiery determination and she continued to speak, though her voice held no arrogance. "I believe we, medics and warriors, should train together, learn one another's skills. This way, we can know our strong points and our weak points. Borders must be cautiously watched, as we all know. I suggest someone who is skilled in magic to build barriers around the Veldt, so we know whom enters and exits the Veldt, thus plucking out spies who wish to slip past our nets and diamonds under the rough, so to speak. There should be guard shifts to those who know how to defend borders. Members of Meurtrier could be sorted into teams where their strongpoint is. A few examples are as follows: Those whom are aerial experts can patrol the skies and attack from the sky. Those who are experts with elemental magic can serve in the middle. Those who are big and strong and have muscle can attack the enemy at full burst. Those whom are experts at spying and assassination can linger in shadow and finish their targets off while the enemy is distracted. Medics should be at the back of the battlefield or at least isolated, along with trusted, personal guards at their sides. All children, elders and those unable to fight could be perhaps kept within underground tunnels, or something of the sort. Our enemy knows the Veldt, she would know where and when to attack. Failure is not an option; Meurtrier knows this all too well." she stopped for a long time before bowing her head.
"I thank you for your consideration, my lords."
Icarus watched Rin speak, his eyes widening. She really wasn't the little girl he knew anymore... Impressive, he thought with a smile.
Evangeline smirked, looking at Project for a moment. You've one hell of a daughter, brother!
Caylis suddenly spoke up. "I apologize for interrupting, but should all of the previous suggestions follow suit, I would like to volunteer for the task involving magic, my lords." It was clear that Caylis made her choice. The past was in the past, she would toss aside her personal feelings and make sure that her children were safe. If any Demonic Hallow knew anything about magic, it was no other than Caylis. She remembered being a prisoner of war in La Morte and having to give birth to beautiful children; children she would never see grow up... She wouldn't ever make that mistake ever again.

Iarri Kannon | Osic Donovan | Zalui Xemvoi
The healer cocked a smile and slightly shook her head to Orpheus's comment regarding cubs. As she looked away, one of her healers quickly caught her attention. Iarri listened to what her godchild had to say; heck, Mirth might as well have been Iarri's own niece. "That is a marvelous idea, hun. It might take time to formulate something like that but yes, in the end it will save us many troubles." Rin spoke next and Iarri looked up from Mirth. Pride was swelling in the Medic's heart. This was the first time she had seen so much involvement from Meurtrier's healers in a meeting such as this. When the young female was finished, Iarri looked up to the Donovan brothers for their response to that.
Osic flexed his wing and shifted a bit where he sat. He watched his sister take off after her daughter but couldn't at all help but think about what she had yelled out. And in that moment as his eyes followed Carnal, all he could see was Najisi. Perhaps Osic had been right when he had said those words to Carnal's face. The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree... Maybe know his sister would see. Maybe now as she lost her children that she would know that Najisi had only been a mother wanting to protect her cubs. To protect her cubs from harm. Harm done to them by Meurtrier. Osic blinked away those thoughts and looked down at his own daughter who was seated by his side. His tail moved to wrap around her and he smile down on her before once again looking back up with a sigh.
All of his mental planning was interrupted as his gaze connected with Orpheus. Zalui quickly stood and began moving through the crowd. He paused at the throne's base, allowing Iarri time to move out of the way so he could pass. He moved up silently and took a comfortable seat next to Odysseia, offering her a respected nod before looking away.

Circa blinked in surprise at the usual quiet cub's long request, well voiced for that matter. Despite the recent happenings and tense aura around the king, she flashed a warm look to Orpheus. Surely it would make him happy that the youth of Meurtrier were taking initiative, whether they be practical ideas or not. She, for one, was impressed by the little girl's thought out plan, obviously something she had been cooking up for quite a while. As Caylis spoke up, Circa listened keenly. If the leaders should move forward, she would surely second that motion. She recalled being intimidated and wary of the dark 'ess when she was younger, for her magic abilities...
Kazbek remained where he was, not racing after Vitanali or even his mate. He sighed and went off on his own instead, back to the family den where his children were. There was nothing he could do at the moment, Carnal and his step daughter would need their space... Cross remained where he was as well, wanting desperately to follow, but knowing it would do no good at the moment. He had shifted awkwardly as Vitanali was called up and practically used as a poster child for what would happen if anyone defected the leader's commands... In his mind he felt that it wasn't right to be so harsh, and it struck a bad chord in him, but that was something he dare not say. Feeling pain seep into his head again, he brought his paw up to his head again and sighed.
(That's all for Kazbek, and Cross wont be mentioned again until the meeting officially concludes)

Daemon Donovan, Arc ' Apocalypse' Crimson- Donovan, Emerson Donovan, Iodine Dahill, Memoria Whittaker- Donovan, Rayn Donovan, Titus Hulick, Yui Gurnako- Donovan, Fragment Gurnako- Donovan, Cyprus Sulliveri, Dakota Donovan- Kannon, Paris Crimson- Caliver, Blanca Donovan- VanArkle, Polyphemus ' Ka'ein' Xemvoi- Donovan, Wrench Dahill- KrowOrpheus hit all of the high and low points alike, beating him to the punch once more -- Not that he was complaining. Dae was long-winded, liked to draw things out to drive things home, while Orph was the more technical side of this, sharp, right to the point. There were many things that had been covered already, and many more still that needed to be discussed it seemed.Project's daughter brought some new things to consider to the front of his mind, but he did not nod or speak first off, mulling them over in his head. "Interesting." He finally grunted.
"I can understand where you're coming from Rin, and I know that what you say only has the best for Meurtrier at heart," He started, commending one so young for thinking of something like that, when there were others her age who were more inclined to jump in feet first and get themselves hurt, thirsty for the battle. "But, perhaps this is not the right time or place. The medics have their own ways of doing things that some others do not understand. I know I do not. Their healing ways and their mysterious magic is beyond me." He explained, not at all wanting to bring her down for speaking out, but wanting to cut to the chase. "Not to say that these are bad ideas, it's just they would be much better implemented if we could speak with those specific sets of pridemembers on our own. Brother?" He tagged on at the end, giving him the floor to let him speak his part, seeing as how he traveled with a pair of mages when they were on the hunt for Kimiko. It was a tossup, what he would think or say on the new subject.
Turning green eyes to Caylis and her personal offering, the King nodded. "You may speak with Iarri and Nerry about this as soon as you get the chance, then." Now that Zalui had made his way over and up to them, the male figured that after this last matter was sorted out, then the Shadowed Demon would have the floor, as to give the details of where this new House was going to be placed, who was going with him, and things of the like, but he was no mind-reader, so for now a quick second of silence passed over the camp, a hushed peace that could not last for long.
Paris listened and watched between his sister as she piped up, to their father, silent and still as stone. The teen hadn't even batted an eye when he said he wanted to be the one to end his siblings, if they could not see the errors of their ways and return home. Deep down, he probably wished that it didn't have to be this way, but now that he was older, now that he knew, in the end it really was for the best. To live the life of a prisoner in a place that was once your home, the place you were born. That was no way to live, so death was the only other true peace they could offer. And Mother? Well, as far as he cared, he had no mother anymore. He was one of the lucky ones, he was able to be saved before it was too late, and it took him until just recently to understand that and to try and start to change his ways, like Cross and Rin and his other brave brothers and sisters who chose to stay loyal.

Orpheus found himself listening intently to what Rin was saying and realized that she had brought up many decent points. Interesting points. He could see that most supported what she was saying - proud looks were sent her way. He would feel proud of her too but he could not afford to show any sort of favoritism. Not now, not ever. Pride was something to give in private. Still, her words danced around in his mind and he turned them over again and again while his brother spoke.
Nose twitched and he nodded his agreement towards Daemon, but instead of just leaving it there, this time around, he did have his own sentiments to add. It would not do well to seem as if he were agreeing with Daemon and simply brushing the ideas off without care. He did care. They were important. "As my brother has said, the ways of the Medics are not something we all understand. Your ideas may very well be something to implement - but perhaps something to be worked more thoroughly on with those that are strictly involved. However..." His eyes took on a specific glint as he eyed Rin and the medics. "While our warriors are just as precious in each and every member, I would never have a medic continue to work until they themselves lost their own lives. You have the power to save our lives and your knowledge is precious. We cannot afford to lose you. In essence, your third rule is already in affect for how we protect our medics." He told her. And then his head tilted, eyes narrowing a bit.
"Also... What you suggest with magic is no easy feat, Rin. And it is brave of you Caylis to volunteer - but magic, I've learned, is something that is only as great as the energy a creature carries. The magic which you speak of would kill a creature in an instant - despite our number of magic users. Even if your magic is different than others, Caylis, I could not ask you to hold onto these barriers for the entire weight of the pride - the concentration it would take would steal all your time away. We also do not have enough magic users for this type of feat - nor would we want to exhaust the few we have." His eyes flicked to those whom he learned the knowledge from - Neraine and Shinku, Shinku seemed to not care for what was being said, or maybe he was just being guarded. Neraine on the other paw, looked quite annoyed at the suggestion. It would kill her.
"As for your other suggestions... We already have them implemented. Our warriors are warriors for a reason and we have spies as spies for a reason. Those with wings already do their job in their battle skills and patrols, and we already have shifts for our border patrols. Trust my brother and I Rin, when we say we are on top of our job as Dominants of Meurtrier." That was about the only part that had Orpheus irked with the young girl - but she was still young, her suggestion was worthy of approval sure, but in some ways felt like there was no faith among his brother and he. He moved on quickly though, not wanting to dwell on that for too long. "Tunnels would take time and effort to make - and with our mountain terrain, quite difficult to implement. But perhaps a cave may do, as our dens are quite open. She may know our lands, but with our numbers, that is of no concern. Too many members would have to be passed to get to them. Our elders and young will still be thoroughly protected as long as we stick together.
"And we will, stick together. Learn from one another. With the young of our pride coming into their years to learn - we will have more members to help protect, to help learn from each other. As well as your suggestion to learn from one another," His head tilted slightly, "Your family members have just thrown that one out there, and already, it was agreed upon." His gaze glinted with the light of approval and amusement - the only thing he gave her as his face was not the greatest with expressions.

Suggestions brought forth conversation and from ideas spring more ideas. What felt like centuries of talk came to an end when Orpheus wrapped up his thoughts on the matters so far. That's when Nerry felt it best to step forward again. The whole talk of magic had made him uneasy, knowing especially what his father had been capable of.
"It's never easy for me to talk about my father. He was a powerful healer and an even more powerful magician. But power like his corrupts. Even with the combined efforts of myself and others with power like mine, sustaining a constant field of force, a shield only for Meurtrier AND Jaaku," He added on Jaaku, as the Veldt was shared by the demonics. "Is an impossible feat. It would drain us of our energy. I merely echo the thoughts of our kings when speaking of this." Nerry bowed his head, but he wasn't finished. He spoke up again: "On the subject of learning herbs. I'm sure that Iarri and I can work out a basic chart for the important herbs and keep it in front of the medic's den at all times. There are many herbs to learn, however, so this is why I insist on keeping it to the basics. Being a healer is a full time job that isn't for the faint of heart..." Nerry sits, leaving his thoughts at that.
Walter also seems satisfied with the outcome of this discussion, and nods his head in agreement.
Odysseia quietly assess the members reactions and their input. She concentrates on Caylis then looks at Orpheus and Daemon. Beneath her breath, and directed at them, she speaks; "I need a word with you both after this, if you would spare me the time."

Content seemed to steady throughout the last few words that were spoken. It seemed as if everything was settling. Orpheus couldn't be more pleased at this and he nodded to Nerry for his input. His ears flicked back to Odysseia soon after and Orpheus tilted his head to look at her, "Of course, Odysseia." Blood-red eyes gleamed as he gazed at their lady councilor and he dipped his head to her. "We would always spare time for you."
Such a fail post - but I would assume, if no one else wishes to make a reply, that this thread is wrapped up after Katty's next post? Caylis, katluver458, kahara, drifter, TheWG, Blair, ashbaer, AvianLast tag for any input at all - even small fun posts c: And then also if anyone has outside input as well, it'd be welcome

Looked as if things were starting to settle down quickly for now, lucky for them, though with a Kingdom like Meurt, constantly moving and shifting and changing, you could never be sure of anything. So then next when Ody urged he and his brother's attention, he flicked an ear back to better hear, turning a curious gaze at her over his shoulder. "Indeed." He echoed idly, wondering what could be on her mind, seeing as how she's been so rather unusually quiet all this time.
