Sooo I've lost this post four times, this is the fifth time I'm writing it and I refuse to fully write all the details again like I'd planned to. It's sloppy, it's there, but it's just for the birthing. Once the cubs have been posted, I'll do a time skip but yea. Anyways, without further ado, drifter, ashbaer, Blair, Splasher
Yasbi Neko, Marcus Keyes, Kardei Kain
Yasbi Neko would not have expected anything that would have happened that morning when she left Asylum lands. Certainly not meeting another guy - as she'd been trying to avoid them as of late. But he was nice. Charming. Manipulating. The last of which completely slipped her mind and made her oblivious. Unbeknownst to her, any blood not of the Neko line could easily smell her royal line of the Queen Demi. He used her. Used her than left her.
It wasn't long before Kardei came and found her, though. He'd been pissed - a gust of wind, a breath of air and his nose picked the scent up. Anger had filled him - she'd never known Kardei to have such anger - and he'd gone on a rampage, cursing everything in existence and demanding to know whom had done it. It had in fact terrified her for a moment. If Kardei reacted so badly, how would her own family react? She didn't think she could face them. A small whimper had escaped her at the thought - snapping Kardei from his rage. She was crouched, on the floor, eyes shining brightly with unshed tears as she stared up at him. Tears. Tears. Yasbi didn't cry. She was a Neko. Neko's didn't cry.
Kardei had found himself at her side, shushing her, curling around her and pulling her into him to quiet her and comfort her. They'd spend the next few days together - and he'd lain with her. Things that they never thought would happen - happened. It was beyond odd, but it was there. Something different, something completely opposite of what they'd always known. A few days more and Marcus had showed up - arrogantly introducing himself to Kardei and mocking him for taking care of Yasbi, words that had only succeeded further to piss him off. The two had fought - ending in the near death of Marcus as Kardei tossed him off of his person. Marcus barely caught himself before he went off the edge of the cliff.
Still that was all that was needed for Marcus to leave Kardei and Yasbi alone - but Yasbi had a feeling he was not done with them. Kardei didn't let her dwell on it, instead taking the time to distract her and then care for her over the next three months. They were both sure that the pride, Asylum, Stygian, Elysium - they all knew they were missing. Neither cared. It was just them and this moment, him hunting for her after she could no longer do so herself.
And he watched as her belly grew. As her cravings grew. Hunted and carved deer pelts for her comfort. Until the moment came. This one moment they'd been waiting for for so long. He kept his distance as he watched her wreath on the ground - they'd already discussed the fact that he wouldn't go and get help - and that he'd keep his distance less she rip his fur off like she nearly did one time during her pregnancy. Or twice. Maybe three times. Truth be told, he lost count. Yasbi was as bad as her mother. Despite the nervousness that he felt, he was still as a statue, staring into the darkness of their den as he listened to Yasbi - wincing whenever she tossed an insult at him and cringing when he heard the tale tell sign of his hard earned pelts tearing under her claws. It was long, worrisome for him. Yet ten hours later... He heard silence.
Kardei was on his paws in an instant, staring into the darkness when Yasbi's soft and tired voice filled the air, granting him entrance. Five cubs. Five beautiful ones... Except... Golden gaze met Yasbi's with uncertainty and confusion and she shrugged. "They look partially like you, partially like me... And they've his markings. I don't know." She answered his silent unspoken question. But Kardei shook his head at her.
"I don't care. They're all mine." Was his reply. Yasbi smiled softly and both pressed their heads together as their gaze returned back to the little bundles.

Jubilee The greyscale cub squirmed, searching for the milk and warmth that she instinctively knew as mother. Deep red stripes covered her behind, starting from the spine and then falling down her legs. It became obvious upon licking the cub that her ears were in fact not covered in blood, it was instead another marking she had inherited from her mother. After suckling her mother's milk, the little cub crawled- more like wiggled- her way to her mother's chest, where she promptly curled up and fell asleep.

Oliver
His entrance into the world came with just as much difficulty as any of his other siblings. The first act of business was to 'dominate' any would-be feeders so that he could have the best seat in the house and his absolute fill of milk. Instead of curling up and fall silent like a good little cub, the ebony son promptly made himself very vocal. He whined, growled, yowled and a few odd gurgles. Nothing his parents did would quiet him. He simply delighted in the way the noises would vibrate his little body. It was clear he enjoyed what he was doing as he kneaded at his mother.

The dark pelted little fur ball wiggled his way away on the cold ground making as much noise as his could muster before finally settling down for his first meal. That was until another squirming cub decided it was his turn to feed and was shoved from his spot luckily enough for this cub he had already had his fill of milk but made sure to let his darker brother know he wasn't going to be pushed around. Kasumi wiggled and squirmed his way over top Oliver gently nomming on whatever he could nom on before all his wiggling made him roll off his siblings and back to the ground.
Chirping loudly the dark grey cub crawled his way around before bumping his little nose into some large and furry, it wasn't his mother but it was just as warm and Kasumi decided it would be a comfy place to cuddle up to. The little cub snuggled his head on this large furry pillow for a nap unaware that the furry paw he was cuddling with was his father's.

Just like everyone else Erebus was prompt to squirm around attempting to find this warm meal that his siblings were bickering about. While everyone was loud in their demands, Erebus was rather quiet, making his way close to his mother's body so he could find comfort. The world was cold outside, but he did find the open space interesting, little limbs stretched out as if trying to find the boundaries he was so use too. Finding the milk was simple enough, his nose did most of the work and he quickly latched on to fill his gut.

Yasbi Neko, Kardei Kain, Deimus II
He, alongside his twin, was lighter than the others. And incredibly different. Underneath his right eye was two stripes, black and long in length - under his amber eye. His left eye burned a bright gold as he stared ahead atop the edge of the cliff. For as tiny as he was, the world looked so small where he sat - until he was abruptly lifted into the air. Dad!" one little claw peeked out from his paw as Deimus II Neko Kain as he squirmed for ground again.
Kardei placed him down - away from the edge. "And you know you're not supposed to leave the den without either of us. How are you up so early anyway?" Kardei shook his head, questioning Deimus II. It was weird to call his father's name out loud - but with a short discussion between him and Yasbi, they'd decided it would be fitting even if he looked nothing like him. What Yasha thought however, would be something different. Still, his gaze flicked up to the just now rising sun - the sky slowly lighting to that bright blue with streaks of pink and orange hues. Deimus was the strangest of them all, Kardei thought. He was up the earliest and put down the latest - it was a struggle for the exhausted Yasbi and Kardei to keep up with him.
Deimus did nothing but shrug and moved back to the edge. Or tried to. Kardei's large paw caught him in the chest and pulled him back. "I don't think so, pipsqueak. Your mother will kill you, you know this right?" Deimus huffed, glaring at nothing in particular as he shifted away. As different as he was from the others alongside his brother, Erebus, Kardei couldn't help but absolutely love him anyway. Even if they did obviously have Marcus' blood.
Still, it was an on going thing between father and son as Deimus continued to try and pull away from him for another good few more minutes. "Deimus II Kain." The command from his father's mouth halted him, froze him on the spot and he slouched over with a sigh. Deimus didn't talk much, quiet like his brother, but even then, Kardei and him could hold more conversations in silence or one-sided than they ever could speaking. And when his father sighed and laid down beside him, Deimus plopped down over his paw. "Just give it until your mother wakes up with the others and then we'll be on our adventure, okay?" Deimus nodded.
And that was why he was up so early. Deimus was too excited to truly sleep and had been awake before the sun had even come up in pure anticipation of the travels their parents had told them about. To meet more family, to see more of the world instead of this cheap cliff side... It was excited and exhilarating. Part of him wanted to go wake them up himself, but he knew they had to wake on their own - to be well rested meant to wake up at your own pace mom had told them once. He was too excited. He laid his head down.

Oliver
The youth awoke on his back on top of another cub. Siblings made for the best pillows. One yellow eye opened, staring at the den ceiling for just under a minute before it shut again. Sleep would soon take hold once more... If not for the sudden growling that shook through the middle of his body. An almost matching groan slipped up from his maw right before he gave way to a yawn. Paws reached up into the air with a stretch, tiny ivory colored claws unsheathing momentarily. Oliver rolled to his side, slipping off whoever had been his head rest for the night. As the cub slowly woke further, he looked around the den, watching everyone sleep. Once he was finally on all four cylinders he made his way to mother, rubbing himself against her face. But he was still pretty tired, so his chin gently plopped down on Yasbi's muzzle with a sigh. His stomach growled again just as he realized that father wasn't there. Head perked up and ears rotated, more in curiosity than alarm. Perhaps father had gotten breakfast! Now he was awake and rearing to go. Oliver clumsily ran out of the den, halting just outside. He swung his head back and forth, looking for a meal. And when he found none he figured he'd just find father and have him find food. Which finding Kardei didn't take too awfully long; along with a brother. Oliver made his way promptly to Kardei, standing in font of the older male with a curious look - that was also a bit grumpy. Oliver was perhaps one of the largest cubs in his litter. Mostly due to his gluttony. Food was one thing that was always on this sons mind. And he certainly did not mess around when it came to eating. He had lost track of how many times he had been scolded for smacking a brother or sister too hard just over a bite to eat. His look to Kardei was the usual one, 'If there's food, where is it? If there isn't, then why haven't you hunted?'

Erebus stirred the moment Oliver had left the den, he'd been awake almost as long as his twin, but had remained still and patient while being the sibling pillow. Now free he sat up, looking over everyone else in the den, he quickly figured that Deimus was up to his same stunts, which excused his absence.
Getting to his paws, he made his way out of the den, walking out into the clearing and sitting down to scan the area. There was no point in running after everyone when they would all just came on back to the den. So Erebus sat quietly, tail curled and tapping at the ground as he waited.

Tiny dark crimson ears flicked to the sounds of movement around him but he didn't budge, Kasumi rather sleep then wake up early like some of his siblings that and his sleeping spot wasn't the easiest to spot to move from. Some how during the night Kasumi ended up wiggling himself in between his mother's legs and under her head, he didn't complain it was nice and warm but soon the quietness of the den started to make him stir. Golden eyes blinked before wiggling half way out from under his sleeping mom's chin Kasumi stretched his paws over her leg to try to pull himself free but each try just ended in failure, with a huff the dark grey cub squirmed over onto his back placing his paw against Yasbi's cheek with his little claws poking and kneading at her face trying to wake her "Mooooooooom! Wake uuuuuuup!" the cub prodded with a purr in his voice.

Jubilee The voice of a sibling- Kasumi as it happened to be- awoke her. She rolled onto her stomach quickly, thinking she was missing something important. Blinking away the sleep from her eyes, she realized she wasn't actually missing anything- only that Deimus and Oliver were gone. She looked over at Erebus, who seemed to be waiting for something, then noticed the struggling Kasumi, "How...did you even get there?" The young femme said, momentarily amazed.
Coming to her her brother's aid, she took a hold of his nape. Unfortunately, when she tried to pull him free of their mother, it ended up with her slipping and rolling backward. She just wasn't strong enough to pull him out herself. She looked over at Erebus, "Lets combine our strength!"

Eyes scanned out onto the area he had grown to familiarize quickly in his short life, he was quickly bored with the scene and turned his eyes to the sky. It was blue today, with thin morning clouds that would hopefully disappear and not form into rain clouds. Behind him, Erebus could hear the other two fussing over something, it was to early for all this noise and he huffed at the pair of them.
Looking over his shoulder the twin of Deimus II glared at the siblings with a matching gold eye, though his sported the two stripes while his amber sat bare. "You two should be quiet."
At first he had thought to simply ignore them and walk away, but he hadn't been quite ready to leave the den that morning. Instead he huffed again, little chest rising and falling before he stood and padded over to his trapped brother and directing sister. Erebus stared at the situation for a moment, he quickly guessed that there was little chance of getting Kasumi out without waking up their mother. And he wasn't to sure on how pleased she'd be on being woken earlier then planned.
"Maybe we can just leave him..." Kasumi could wait a bit longer; probably not. "Or we can get Dad?"

Yasbi Neko, Kardei Kain, Deimus II
She'd been awake the moment her lover left the den. Lover. Such an odd term to associate with Kardei, but that's exactly what he'd been to her. Still, she'd knew he meant for her to get a little bit more sleep, so she drifted back off again - only to awaken once more when another of her cubs stirred. She didn't move, didn't twitch as he moved up to her cheek - he only cause she knew automatically it was not her daughter. Her only daughter in the litter was far too kind to cause a ruckus and bother her mother...
Yet it wasn't long before a tugging underneath her chin caught her attention - followed by a very loud yell. Somehow, someway, the little 'ess managed to stay still - only a flick of her ear being the only sign that she was stirring at all. 'Kasumi...' She breathed out a sigh through her nose. She hadn't invited him to get underneath her chin - he'd been the one seeking warmth. Yasbi didn't even realize how childishly taunting her own words sounded in her head and yet so reprimanding towards her child if she'd said them aloud. Still, she remained still as her children began to stir. She heard Jubilee speak next to her brother and felt her along her arm as she tried to pull her brother free - and she intentionally relaxed her head further to increase the weight and decrease the possibility of his release.
It was all too easy. And there was little Erebus, reprimanding his siblings. She barely concealed her maw's wishes to twitch upwards into a smile. She managed though. She'd wait out just a little bit longer. There was two voices she'd yet to hear. Three if she counted Oliver but he'd already pressed against her earlier.
The two voices however... They were both outside. Kardei had his head on his paws, little Deimus mocking his position at his side, their faces turned the same way as they watched the sun rise when Oliver came into view. He ignored him. Oliver was always hungry and Yasbi and him had decided it wasn't a good idea to feed this little want of their child less he become too dependent on food. But just as this thought crossed his mind, he'd heard the voices of the others. He knew Yasbi was finally awake - the moment any of them moved that wasn't Deimus - the little demo was a scary one with how silent he was - she was up. 'So why had she not quieted them yet?' Kardei sighed and Deimus echoed it through his nose as they both stood as one.
Deimus gave his brother a level look and Kardei merely lifted a paw to ruffle the fur on Oliver's head as he turned back inside. Deimus didn't move. Merely stared. Out of all the kids, he was the one whom had really yet to talk, it was almost unnerving. But as he looked at Oliver, he was silently daring him to go and bother their father about food even more. Not because he himself was hungry, but because he found it disrespectful. They would be fed when it was time for feeding.
When Kardei entered the den it wasn't what he was expecting, not really at least though this had happened what felt like a hundred times already. Having heard Erebus' comment, he shifted to block the light entering the den, allowing his shadow to fall across the lot of them "And just what is dad needed for?"
A soft, amused voice filled whatever brief silence would have fallen across them at Kardei's sudden appearance. "Your son trapped himself. He wants to get out" She murmured out, her lips finally giving way into a smile, though her eyes didn't open. It was always the others' children. "But I'm all nice and warm." And with those words, Kardei knew Kasumi had doomed himself for a good few moments of torture as his own maw twitched upwards in a small smirk.

Jubilee Ears drooped ever so slightly when Erebus said that they should be quiet- taking it as him refusing to help. She had been as quiet as was possible when trying to help Kasumi and she couldn't just let her brother squirm around helplessly. "Leaving him isn't an option for me." She told Erebus, though just as soon as Erebus had mentioned their father- he appeared as if by magic.
Jubilee perked up almost immediately, "Dad!" She also noted her other two brother's Deimus II and Oliver. Though, she didn't move to go and nuzzle her father, instead listening to what her mother had to say. She padded up to her mother, placing both of her front feet on the one large leg that belonged to Yasbi. "Aw, come on mom... Kas has been trying to get out all this time." She pleaded with her mother, her head tilting slightly to the left.

Oliver
He continued to stare at his father but it came as no real surprise when his silent request went ignored. It seemed this was happening more often the older he got. Conspiracies! They're all in it to starve me.. His mellow dramatic thoughts were interrupted by a large dark paw messing up his mane. The pressure from his father's paw caused Oliver's forehead to wrinkle up his brows. Needless to say, he looked very displeased. As father walked away Deimus' staring didn't go ignored. Oliver stared right back, scrunching up his face. His gaze stayed fixed on his brother as his body turned to follow after Kardei. You're not the boss of me.. He could pretty much tell what Deimus must have been thinking by the look he gave and Oliver was prepared to give him some sort of retaliation.

Ah Jubilee to the rescue! Or so he hoped, but even she couldn't help remove Kasumi from the trap. He could feel his mother's head fall even more limp on his body. Ignoring his brother's words to be quiet Kasumi proceeded to prod and poke as their mother to wake her that was until a large shadow loomed over them all, Kasumi pushed his head back to his their father and Kasumi grinned innocently "Hey dad, I think you are upside down." he teased of course it wasn't Kardei who was upside down but from his point of view it seemed like he was.
His attention quickly turned back to Yasbi when she finally opened her maw and Kasumi realized he was truly trapped, usually he wouldn't complain. Kasumi always loved to cuddle with his mother but... he had more pressing matters to attend to and being stuck here wasn't going to solve it. Kasumi wiggled some more "Aww come on mom... I really have to pee!" the little cub whined as he continued to try to wiggle out from his mother's grip.
