OPENING
Abyssius Feli are a dark dwelling creature most commonly, living in caves and canyons and becoming most active in the dark. Living topside is not impossible but it is not common, often due to banishment from the colony. These are are very secretive species and not very many have seen them, the amount of colonies and breeding pairs are dwindling as well, soon they may no longer even exist.
BEHAVIOR
Often they are distrustful of strangers and stuck to family groups or colonies of their own kind, but this is not true for all. While often coming off as sinister or senselessly gruff, these creatures are extremely loyal once they commit themselves to something, most are not outwardly possessive but tend to be single minded when defending what is theirs. Females are more social then males, often helping each other raise cubs. A female in a group with many cubs and few mothers can began lactating to help nurse. Males on the other hand tend to shun cubs that are not their own, seeing them as not their problem.

APPEARANCE AND BIOLOGY
These creatures are huge, male and female alike are large and muscled, but very limber so they can climb cavern walls. Long claws are used to help scale walls, which they climb with ease, it is speculated that the claws have smaller hooks and hairs on them to help with this. Another striking feature are the thin membranes on the inner front legs and back legs, both of which can easily be hidden by retracted by folding them into small hollow pockets. If by change a A.F. falls or lets go of a wall, they can use these to help glide down regardless of whether they have wings or not.
The scorpianlike tail is another amazing adaption to this shadow loving creature, it contains two different types of poison, both being lethal in their own way. The digestive poison is pumped into food, breaking the insides down into a soupy mixture so that it can be easily eaten by young and old alike, the second type is used for defense and offense. This second poison is more immediately lethal but takes more energy to produce, the larger the enemy the more poison needed to take them down, less experienced battlers tend to faint from exertion after using a large amount. While cubs, both poisons are impossible to produce and start coming into play at around two years of age.
