Kardei's lips twitched upwards. Not in the beginnings of a snarl or anything like that, but in the beginnings of a damn near smirk. He found them amusing, he found them different. He... He found himself wishing he had that kind of bond. That kind of comfort of a sibling. According to Yasbi, Najisi was in a pride of her own, and he didn't know that she had suffered so much, but he wondered if they could have that kind of relationship once they built it back up - or even wonder of Najisi had faced too many hardships to ever be like that again. His eyes flicked to the aide as he pulled back into his own thoughts for a meant, then seemingly out of no where, he lifted a paw to run through his mane and gave a heavy sigh. "Sounds like the life to be loving then." He commented. His first comment that was actually nice in all reality. He looked at the three siblings, and gave a quirk of the lips. "I suppose in that case even I would rather that than the dull always serious life." Possibly the most he'd spoken throughout this entire time.
Yasbi had giggled at Izy's reply and she glanced down as Teival joined them, and reached over to playfully poke his side before yanking her paw back and pretending as if she hadn't done so. Kardei raised a brow at this but said nothing more. When Yasbi looked at him when he spoke, she tilted her head curiously and hmm'd softly. "You know, Kardei. It wouldn't be so bad if you, yourself weren't uptight. You did snap at me for intruding when I was merely visiting my mother." The last half was a light tease and Kardei huffed lightly in reply. But Yasbi continued."What say you, Izy? Could Kardei learn to lighten up a bit?" Her voice had lowered into soft tones when she took note of Teival nodding off. For some reason, Kardei found himself flicking an ear to face Izy as he very nearly eagerly waited her reply.
Yasha had snickered at Teival's words and nodded. "Of course, son." She told him, her thoughts continuing on 'that is, only if I don't beat you to it.' She smiled once more at the four, hoping they would take it easy before she turned away and trotted off. She knew exactly where she was going and planned to make this a short hunting session so she could return quickly to the four of them. After all, she knew Kardei was sharp when first getting to know him, and she didn't want to comr back to a three against one verbal or physical bashing.

Izybel & Teival
The dark male was finally off to la la land, his deep snores could be heard and though they didn't seem so loud, inside a cave or closed den they were a hurricane. Every so often he would snort, shift every so often, mumble something and go right back to snoring; even his sleeping made Izybel want to smile. With him passed out it was Izybel's turn to relax, her body had been held stiff for the past few moments and she could feel an old bruise kicking back with revenge.
She perked up though as the two spoke up continuing the conversation, not that she was ready to judge but she couldn't for the life of her see Kardei not serious. In the short time they had met she was sure his face was a permanent scowl when he came into the world. That thought alone made her smirk to herself as she rolled her eyes at Yasbi; why ask her opinion?
She supposed she could answer the question, before she did however she watched as Yasha trotted off leaving them to continue their chat. She hoped she wouldn't be long, she was civil now but lord could only know what could be said in a short bit of time."It couldn't hurt. You do know sis, that the only reason Deimus was so calm at times was because of Karenza right? So maybe... Kardei needs more then just to 'lighten up'," a coy smile stretched across her maw at her implication. A good lay could do wonders on the soul, not that she would know, no Izybel was poking fun her way, a way that might get her into trouble.
"You and Teival could go on a bachelor's trip," she continued, a light tone in her voice, she meant no harm to Kardei, she was simply teasing, Izybel was a big sister and picking was what she did best at times. "A little brotherly bonding, I think he could be good for you, if that's what you want."

Kardei, Yasbi, Yasha
Yasha is wandering off and taking down some random doe that passed her way.
Yasbi had grinned slyly at the response given by Izybel as she looked back at Kardei, who in response stared wide-eyed for a moment. "Why, yes, I do believe that's exactly what Kardei needs, now that I think of it. Perhaps Kardei here definitely has more traits of his father than just his looks than we thought. His... Peculiar appetite being one of them." Pink tongue flicked out to brush at her maw at the answer she gave in return. "Teival and him, off on an adventure while.. Exploring certain... Assets." Each time she paused was a pure teaser as Kardei's eyes seemed to merely grow wider before he snorted loudly, cutting off any other statements Yasbi may have wanted to make.
"You both are ridiculous." He hashed out, his voice sharp as he huffed and turned his nose up slightly in rejection of such an idea. "I would not mind spending family time with Teival, no, but as for the rest of that?"[/'b] He stopped suddenly, an evil glint suddenly appearing in his gaze as he turned back to the two females before him, and one side of his mouth quirked upwards in a crooked smirk. "As for the rest of that..." He began again, his tone having changed into one of darker mischief. "Unless either of you plan to offer yourself for such a thing," He looked particularly at Izybel as he said this - as she was the one who started the whole thing to begin with.
Yasbi's jaw dropped and she merely stared in surprise at what he'd shot back at them. She didn't think he had it in him. Kardei shrugged again, nonchalant though, as he continued speaking. "Although either of you wouldn't even consider it. All talk, no action, I'd say. 'Cept for maybe Yasbi here. And it's not like your brother will even let you near a potential, Izybel." Maybe he had his mother's traits of coyness too in all reality. [/blockquote]

Izybel & Teival
Izybel, despite their childish words and poking at each other, was enjoying herself, Yasbi's words were enough to make her laugh out loud only to look at the sleeping oaf to make sure they weren't disturbing the peace. Of course that would be to easy, Teival slept like a hibernating bear when they didn't get much sleep, chances would be he wouldn't be up until sundown. Which wasn't a bad idea because he ate just as much as a bear, hopefully the smell of fresh kill wouldn't wake him. It would be another thing she could see Kardei and Teival fighting about.
When Kardei spoke up, she grinned at him, it was always nice to see her words getting under the skin of others. She was serious about the brotherly bonding, they needed it, as for his starting comment Izybel rolled her eyes then narrowed her eyes. "Offer either of ourselves to you?! Deimus must have dropped you on your-"
She had tried to cut him off and get her two words in, but Kardei wasn't finished. His next little bit was enough to make her bristle, she wasn't sure where to start. Argue the fact that Izybel could match her words with her ability or to shove his tail down this throat and then rip it through his rear end. Her blood was boiling at his assumption, no one could even start to understand why she hadn't found a suitor or birthed cubs. She did, and maybe Yasha, and it wasn't Teival.
"I don't know where to start Kardei," she started, voice low, her tail sweeping in the grass, her pink eyes speckled with gold and yellow shined dangerously, once again she found herself explaining shit to this orphan."I suppose I should say how sorry I am that you're an orphan, no siblings with two parents that just up and left. "
That's my girl, you haven't gotten angry in a long time, feels good doesn't it, that deep voice was haunting, a living nightmare, but at times dear Hazar sent a comforting chill up her spine as if to encourage her, or show he was proud. She ignored him, but listened, she was angry, the topic of mating and cubs always made her burn inside. Remaining seated she continued to look Kardei up and down.
"My brother isn't the problem," she hissed, claws inching out to dig the ground. "You wouldn't even be a match against the real reason Kardei, and if you keep running your mouth, you'll be praying for Yasha to return as soon as possible." That last bit was pushed in with a bit of motivation from Hazar who lingered quietly now but she could still sense him, waiting.

Yasbi, Kardei & Yasha
Kardei blinked at the response - one he wasn't expecting. A brow rose at the threat and he eyed her evenly, even as Yasbi tensed beside Izybel, knowing exactly what was wrong. She brushed her fur against Izy, calmingly, soothingly. Her mouth moved closer to Izy's ear, murmuring soft words to ignore the beast within. Her gold eyes were on Kardei though, warning him with them to be easy.
Kardei looked both sisters over carefully. He knew exactly what Izybel was talking about. Yasha had informed him of that when he'd pissed her off when they first met and had been kind enough to inform him that most of her daughters would be with this demon gene. He wondered however at Izy. How far could she be pushed?
Eyeing her a bit longer, even after she'd finished speaking, he knew if he said the right words she'd explode. Part of him wanted to push her to those limits - but he knew better. Not because he wouldn't be able to handle it, but because he didn't want her to be troubled by her demon. If the earlier conversation was anything to go by, she was having trouble with her demon.
So Kardei straightened, tilted his head upwards slightly in thought, and choose his next words with care. "Izybel." His tone was far more softer than it had ever been so far and even Yasbi glanced at him in slight surprise, keeping her side firmly pressed against Izy's though. "You do not have to apologize for whatever misfortune came my way," He paused very briefly before he continued. "That is not how I meant my earlier words. I did not mean to strike a nerve, Izybel, or insult you. But please let it be known, you never have to explain yourself to me, especially if you do not want to or if it troubles you to do so." He was mentioning to the fact that it was a sore subject he struck with her. He also didn't know why he was apologizing, or semi apologizing for that matter, but he definitely didn't mind the feeling it gave him.
Yasbi stared for a long moment. Her expression blank. She flicked on ear at Izy, waiting for her to speak first, as Kardei's words had been entirely directed to her.
Yasha on the other hand, paw, hadn't had to go too far for her meal, their meal, and had approached the group from a different way. She was currently hidden behind the thrown as she listened in on the very last tidbits of their conversation, and she herself eagerly awaited Izy's response. Curiosity always did get the best of her.

Izybel & Teival
There was a foul taste on her tongue, that bile that rose up from the pit of her stomach to coat her tongue when she felt sick to her stomach with anger. As far as Izybel knew, she was the only female to have a male demon within the family and because of that she dealt with different issues. Because of the demon's opposite gender it had caused Izybel to be withdrawn as a youth, and it was why today she still didn't have control. While other females her age back then were flirting and picking their suitors, Izybel had been confined to herself. And now, as a mature adult, she was starving for that companionship, it was something Hazar refused to let her have.
She wanted to take it out on Kardei, she once took it out on Teival, he was free of a demon, and just as grown as she was but refused to go live a perfect life. Instead he chose to live by her side as a challenging, dominate air to keep Hazar at bay, it was a beautiful gesture but her brother was wasting his time. She would give anything to have a clear mind and freedom to look at the opposite gender and dream of litters of pink eyed cubs. It was so bad that she didn't care if her daughters had their own demons, she just wanted a family of her own.
Yasbi's touch brought her back from thinking of different ways to skin Kardei and leave him to the birds, she relaxed enough to lean into her sister. It was nice, she knew Yasbi understood what was going on and it was a better approach then Teival's hostile yelling voice. Izybel looked at her sister thankful and grateful, reminding herself that the two would have to lose the boys to have some bonding. She really had missed the family and she hadn't really known that until just a few minutes ago. Taking a breather she closed her eyes for a second to tell Hazar to back off and that she could handle this. For once he listened without much of a huff to her gratitude, it was unlike him to be so compliant, it probably wouldn't last.
Eyes opening she let her pink gaze fall on Kardei, she felt bad for speaking ill of Deimus and Karenza even if Deimus himself was a hard male to like. She sighed, shaking her head and looking to the sky for a second, she wasn't good at feeling like a jerk. "Yeah well I take it back, about your parents. My mother was their Second in Command for a long time, and I suppose Teival is just proof of their loyalties to one another," she took a moment to look back at her sister, nodding to show she was alright she leaned away to provide some space. "I would explain if I could, one I don't fully understand it all and two, it's a hard topic to talk about, mates and cubs that is."
The last bit she was a bit bashful about bringing it up, she never did talk about it, the topic was to painful, she feared she would never birth or never love. Hell Yasha had Bixbi and Deimus, two insane males that half the sane population probably wouldn't touch with a fifty foot pole, but Izybel would give everything to have anyone at this point.

Kardei, Yasha, Yasbi
Kardei nodded, "It's alright, Izyebel. I won't push you, and I'll make sure to steer clear of that topic." He tried to offer a smile, but it came out crooked. "Besides, loyalties have always come first among anything. He opened his mouth to say something else, then paused, his mouth closing once more. He tilted his head, golden eyes fixated on something past Yasbi and Izyebel.
Yasbi allowed Izyebel to distance herself, and then smiled softly at Izy's own half apology. She flicked her tail against her flank briefly and then glanced back at Kardei as he spoke, when she herself realized his gaze went past the two of them, she herself turned around to look.
And there Yasha was, carrying a doe on her back as she hate to eat meals that had been dragged through the mud and grim of the place. "Food is here." She called out, only slightly mindful of Teival snoring away beside Izy. She pushed her away between the two 'sides', where she dropped the doe gently and flicked her tail at all three of 'em. "Have at it. I ate a hare before catching that thing." She sat down then, and Kardei motioned for the sisters to grab their own portion first. At least there was some kind of gentleman-ness in him.
Yasha gave them all a look though, inquiring, but a glint was there as she spoke again. "So, everything went well in my absence?" One brow rose and the corners of her lips quirked upwards as she awaited the response. [/blockquote]

Izybel & Teival
"I'll remember that Kardei, it's appreciated," she said in response, it was going to take awhile getting use to being around so many others again, it had been such a long time. If they hadn't returned when they did, in a few months time she probably would have been a full class rogue. And something about that knowledge sent an eerie chill through with every thought about the topic. She would have to learn to hold her tongue around Kardei, besides, he couldn't be all bad seeing as Yasha let the brat live.
When his attention turned from them she followed his gaze to see her mother returning like the fine Neko Queen she was. With the doe on her back she looked just the more powerful and it reminded Izyebel of the times when the land flourished with pride members. It was good to be home.
Food placed Izyebel stole a look at Kardei then looked at her mother with a smile. "We're all in one piece, so that counts for something. Don't worry about saving any for Teival, even if we did it wouldn't be enough."
With that Izyebel stood with the flick of her tail before moving to the doe going for a thigh. Her jowls engulfed the tough muscle as she tug and tore at the tendons listening to it rip and tear against her tongue. A few more muscled tugs and she was gnawing pleasantly on warm flesh her tail swaying in the grass showing her content.
