It was night, the perfect time for a shadowed demon. Silence pervaded as a giant beast slipped between shadows. A thick black mist clung to him, trailing a few meters behind him, making him seem almost ethereal. With a height of nearly three meters, Darker Xemvoi was surprising stealthy. Of course, it was only due to his ability to shadow step that he was such. He was quite skilled with it, given his age, showing in his white eyes. To most, he looked blind, when in reality he could see extremely well. His family rarely was near, and right now, he sought to find out why. From what he had heard, many of the Xemvoi family had found their way here. He wanted to know what was so damn interesting about this place that others continued to leave the mountains to come here.
As he moved into the moon light, the black mist around him was so thick that it became hard to see exactly who it was, but to those who knew the species, it was obvious that was a Shadowed Demon.

Cameel
Cameel had gotten used to wandering these lands and staying clear of many things. She didn't want to be the center of attention or anything like that. However this night in particular she felt something stirring - something that brushed her the wrong way. She slipped into the night, her mind on Zalui and his child Circa, as she sought the source of her worries. And there, shrouded in shadowed mist. Breathing deeply yet quietly she instantly knew whom it was and swallowed, fear crept within her for a moment before she calmed herself back down. She needed to stop him. She didn't know if he would be kind to Zalui as Shade had been.
"Darker, brother." She slipped out from where she stood, her body tense but her hackles lay flat. Her entire being remained calm outwardly, and she showed no emotions other to him. 'For Zalui and Circa.' She opened her mind to her brother, questioning, curious, and most of all welcoming, but she also showed him her concern for starting trouble here. She didn't want that.

Darker's pale eyes continued to flit about, rearing onto his hind legs to look over the trees. He had a paw on a branch, thinking to climb up a particularly tree that seemed sturdy enough to hold his weight when his ears perked forward toward a familiar voice. A smile crept onto his lips and he slipped into the shadow closest to him and appeared behind a large rock by his sister. The mist grew a bit thicker, but it was of no concern to him. He spent much time practicing his skill, thus, he had an incredible desire to use it at any chance he got, usually to intimidate.
"Cameel," he crooned, ear swiveling for the sound of any others near by. "So I have found you at last." He found himself feeling possessive right now and encroached on her space. "Why is it that family is so drawn to this place?" He had a way of making anything he said sound like a threat. "I have worried about you. Is Shade here?" He sent images to her of a battered Tilren to her. "How did that happen, hmmn?" He kept his feelings mostly confined to himself, as he had a strong feeling it would send her off. His mind was far afield, so usually it was hard to even comprehend what he was feeling, never mind why. However, there were bits of curiosity that were easy enough to discern.

Cameel
She smiled, purring softly as he came close and she pressed against his much larger frame. She would always love her brothers no matter what, and he had no intention to harm her... But even so. She kept her mind carefully shielded from showing anything of any of the members here as she passed a mental image of the land-scape here. From the gorgeous mountains, to the grotto which she found warming at times, to the pond and the cherry blossoms. Not once did she slip and show a member of the pride - and after she closed off her mind she was proud of that. But what she sent him next was nothing short of teasing at his worry over her when she sent her emotions to him.
And then she sighed slightly and opened her maw. "Shade was here but he left shortly after. I suppose he's just traveling around." She told him, then tilted her head. She wasn't afraid of him and in a way she found his presence comforting after a moment. It had been a small while since she'd seen him anyway and being from the same litter - she had known him all her life. Those scare tactics of his did nothing for her. However at the images of Tilren she cringed mentally and then figured - the fight with Zalui had not happened close to here and had been off on some shore. She sent her images of what she saw - Tilren finding Zalui and attacking him at the coast and she also showed her displeasure at having seen it. It was no secret that Cameel loved Zalui like her own. Still however, she kept Circa far from her mind as she communicated with her lovable brother.

Darker's head cocked to the side. "Indeed?" he replied, pale eyes focusing on her as she sent the images of the verdant landscape to him. In moments, he knew the lay of the land as well as he did that of his home. Her teasing earned her a nuzzle and he held a wing over her for a moment, protectively. Thus, the mist clung to her a bit as well. He showed her he had not come here on family business, but instead that he was simply curious and that was the only reason why he was here. His claws sank into the earth and aggravated the dirt. A rich smell arose and he hung his head lower, flopping into the grass.
More images passed to Darker as he laid his head in the green, rubbing against his own shadow. He blinked slowly and returned his gaze to the red furred female above him. He sent her his amusement at finding how Tilren had been beaten. Then questioned her about Zalui. Was his nephew safe? Such news would certainly interest Tainted One. So involved was he with his sister that he did not hear any nearby. So relaxed was he in his great size that he often underestimated anything that was not of his species.

Cameel Xemvoi, Malluce Donovan, Shinku Crimson
A purr erupted from her deep within as he covered her with his wings and she pressed against him even more for a moment longer as they shared affections and at his shared thoughts her purr deepened. She couldn't help the small laughter that escaped her when he flopped to the ground, but even she didn't know the presence lurking in the background. So when Darker questioned her about Zalui she hesitated only briefly. Would it be safe to tell her beloved brother? Would he go back and share the news of Zalui's well-being with T.O.? It was possible, but she would not let T.O. hurt her baby nephew. She could confidently say that much at least.
A smile crossed her face and she flashed images back of Zalui's well being, of him living fine here and of Zalui being part of the reason she had sneaked away from the Coven. Of course she'd want to find her beloved nephew and that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone and she would gladly stop anyone who tried to harm Zalui. While the last thoughts entered her mind sharing link, it was shared calmly - like an off-handed thought that just happened to be mentioned allowed if said in conversation...
But during this two creatures who had been off hunting together - one surprisingly without his best friend - paused at the darkness and complete oddness of the moving shadows in the dark. A female stood there - not tainted by the mist, and seemed to be speaking with whom ever - or what ever, was there. They did not know this female though they had seen her lurking around quite often. They assumed she was an ally of the pride with how no one attacked her. But ally or not - she could easily be sharing vital information with one not of their pride and not trust worthy at all. A shared glance was all that was needed as both slipped into the darkness - their pelts blending in nicely for the most part and both lunged, snarls bursting forth from their maws when they were close enough, to land on the laying down creature that hid in mist.
Cameel shrieked in surprise and she stumbled back when snarls burst forth, but anger quickly filled her. However, she didn't want to draw more attention than what would be drawn by these overgrown bafoons. So instead, a low growl escaped her, threatening, warning, as she waited to see what her brother would do so she could chance a jump into the fight to get these oafs off of him! Anger pricked at her pelt and her hackles rose as she awaited her chance - she didn't want to squish her brother in the process by her own added weight if she lunged at one of them.

ODYSSEIA, DEVIN, FEAR
[/i] Their discussion had been light on heavy topics, but it came to a curt end when the sound of snarls and growls erupted nearby. Devin was about to ask if they should investigate. A silly question when one thinks about it. Fear and Odysseia had already taken off from where the commotion came from, and Devin tailed not far behind. Each came bursting through the overgrowth and into the moonlight. Odysseia, their queen, was in front. "What is going on here!?" Her voice was loud and stern, a snarl rippled through her body as she looked toward Malluce and Shinku, and two strangers. Though Odysseia couldn't properly identify them, especially as a black mist appeared to shroud the body. To anyone else not familiar with the land, it would be an oddity; but when you've seen twelve foot - no, thirteen foot - giants, not much can strike you as strange. Devin and Fear stuck to the queen's sides, ready to pounce at her word.[/ul][/blockquote]

Darker pawed at his sister and grinned slightly, waving his tail at her. He shared with her that he was pleased Zalui was well. He had helped to train the youth. He may enjoy taunting anyone, but he still wanted every member safe, unless his eldest brother asked otherwise. He was about to tease his sister when something burst out from the bushes nearby. Claw raked his exposed flank and a furious roar burst from the brute. He sprang up, standing, even with their added weight. His wings flared he used those to strike at either male. Pale eyes rolled in his skull, his fury getting the better of him. There was no doubt to the aggression of the shadowed demon. His face contorted and he snapped at those upon him. His claws were out and he saw those that had just arrived. He did not comprehend the female's question and saw her and the two males she had brought along as more enemies.
He reared and started to throw himself around in a wild fashion to toss one of the males off and hopefully throw him at the new three. Darker did not want to see his sister hurt, thus he did his best to keep himself between her and his opponents, even if the odds were against him.
Meanwhile, Neo is watching, big black shadow, will intervene if needed.

Malluce, Shinku, Devyn, Cameel
Cameel's fur lifted off her shoulders, her hackles rose further, her back arched and a terrifying snarl burst from her maw, especially when three others appeared. She recognized one as the new queen of Meurtrier - but she did not know this female or how she acted. So instead she put herself between her brother and these three new comers with a harsh glare directed at them all. Her gaze turned back to Darker however, her body tense. She knew her brother was protecting her but... She shook her head sharply. "Darker!"
She opened her mind to him hoping he would accept it even in the midst of battle. She poured her thoughts, pictures, of flinging those two off of him and then to stop fighting, but just as she began to attempt to do so, Malluce and Shinku both released Darker when he stood up and both lashed their own claws at the male, at his wings, at his paws, anything that got too close to them as they snarled at him dangerously.
But Cameel didn't hesitate, she slid her body instantly between Darker and the two boys of Funeral's shoving them back as she did so. They didn't dare attack her. Lips curled back to reveal fangs she ignored the Queen for now. But Malluce and Shinku were sure - even with their own fair scores on them, that they had made their point clear, even as they took several steps back to put even more distance between them and their opponent. Both stood with their pelts bristled as they glared, claws grinding into the ground beneath their paws.
Devyn's head jolted up and he had been upon the scene instantly, as soon as Odysseia and his other two brothers had appeared. However, he hadn't thought to stop until his other brother, Malluce, had peeled himself off of the one they attacked. Part of him flared in anger as he saw Shinku with his brother. Was it his idea? He moved straight to Malluce's side, ears flicking at the question Odysseia shouted and as Cameel moved in front of this... Darker creater, he shoved himself in front of both Shinku and Malluce and shoved them both back even further harshly. "Are you out of your mind?!" He hissed at them both.
Both stumbled in surprise at the sudden appearance of Devyn, but Shinku knew better than to hurt the brat. Malluce however, growled at Devyn. "Get out of the way, baby brother." It wasn't a taunt this time around though. But Malluce's gaze turned to Odysseia - as if just registering that they were there. "This..." His eyes narrowed. He was going to say 'bitch', but he was sure Odysseia would probably reprimand him for use of such language. It had seemed like she was cozying up with all of Funeral's kids - something he found himself not fond of. "This girl here was sharing Meurtrier information with a complete stranger." While not a lie, it was a total shot in the dark, they knew. Shinku knew, but he didn't even flinch at the lie. Neither expressed the fact that this was in fact a lie in the first place... However they were very much close to the truth in other aspects.
Cameel's hackles rose further - if that were even possible, but she kept herself firmly planted in front of Darker should he try to attack again, and kept an eye on him should he try to shadow-step behind them. But their words infuriated her. "I was speaking to my brother about my family!" She hissed out sharply.

ODYSSEIA, DEVIN, FEAR
[/i] Her wings folded back in at her sides and her gaze flickered from Devyn, to Malluce, to Shinku. Odysseia then looked firmly at Cameel. This female was completely unknown to the queen. She couldn't recall her being in Jaaku or Meurtrier. This may be an OOC fault as Kah checked the Meur and Jaaku alliance and member pages and found nothing, and so is very confused. A frown deeper than before, as if about to curl her lips up in a disgusted snarl, formed. "We are at war. There are other places you can discuss family than our home." Odysseia was hardly impressed. She could understand being weary, but this? Devin and Fear exchanged weary glances all the while. They calmed down a bit, but both were still prepared to do what the must to help Odysseia, if asked of them or not.[/ul][/blockquote]

That would be Drift's fault. When Shade was here before he left with Rose, her siblings and all the cubs Cameel came and Zalui offered her to stay but forgot to speak to any superiors.)

Darker was growing angrier and angrier as the short fight progressed. It seemed as if the mist that hid his form was flaring up about him. He was not a pleasant sight. The claws caught him and another snarl came from him. Even as they released him, he dashed after them, jaws snapping. The only thing that deterred him was his sister that then blocked his path. His eyes were wild and he snarled, debating on sinking into her shadow. His eyes darted every which way. He spotted plenty of dark spots that were close enough to him that he could go through.
He listened to one of the males talk and he roared at him as he finished his sentence. He knew the word the other had been about to use and it became apparent that his temper was one of his greatest faults. "YOU IGNORANT LITTLE FUCK!" the shadowed demon snarled. He looked behind himself and saw that he was in the shade of a ROCK(MOUNTAIN F.I.I.K.). He took a step forward and disappeared into the ground.
Second later, he burst from the shadow of a tree leaped toward Malluce. His claws were outstretched and his wing out wide, possibly knocking into Shinku and Devin who were both very close. If he had done well, he would have reinitiated the fight with the two from before. He was not thinking about the fact that he was about to be facing many others.
Neo picked this time to step out and move behind Odysseia. Will do as asked.

Devyn, Malluce, Shinku, Cameel
Cameel had whirled on Odysseia, about to respond to her statement harshly for speaking to her like a child when Darker's booming snarl interrupted her train of thought. Instantly she whirled back around, but she did not join the fray. Instead she back up several paces, her irritation rippling as she shouted her brother's name once more to try and get through to him. She knew she had to at least try for her brother to keep her own semblance of peace no matter how much she wanted to rip apart these insolent petty creatures. "Darker! Enough!" She growled out again. But she noticed something - not one of them were really attacking Darker back. Whether it be because of the male who had shoved them away was there or not, she didn't know.
However, her growl re-directed at Odysseia now, "I don't really give a flying hoot if you're at war or not - I can discuss my family who is in this damn pride here if I damn well want to because I'm keeping an eye out for them because you are in said war!" She hissed out. Her claws dug into the ground beneath her roughly, her eyes still firmly locked on her brother. She had to get him to calm down - the fact that these boys were merely dodging him had to have been aggravating him. "DARKER!" A roar this time.
Malluce, slightly more caught off-guard as he had been about to reply to Odysseia with some haughty comment, hadn't turned around in time as he got scored in the side and stumbled into Shinku and Devyn both. But it was exactly as Cameel had seen, while surprise had filled the trio of males at Darker's sudden re-appearance behind them, the two older ones had Devyn to think about now, not their own selfish wants to pulverize him. Shinku had spoken with Malluce on many occasions and knew of his love for his brother - the same that he would do for his own brothers. He knew if he didn't help in keeping Devyn out of harms way, Malluce would have his own ear for it. So they would begin back away from Darker - but they didn't hesitate to lash back at the male whenever they could get the chance and did best to ignore any and all wounds that marked across them. Shinku's fangs flashed out at one point, hoping to even grasp at Darker's leg briefly before he would let go. But now it was clear that Shinku and Malluce were both merely on the defensive - not attacking, and that they were both merely protecting Devyn who couldn't seem to get out of there fast enough as they continued to back up.
Devyn was completely caught off-guard and in all reality had never actually truly been in a battle before. As he stumbled backwards and was continuously shoved back by Malluce and Shinku both, he found himself increasing in frustration as he couldn't do anything. How useless he felt! What good was he?

ODYSSEIA, DEVIN, FEAR
[/i] Odysseia didn't care if that meant chasing Darker and Cameel out, or just shaking the ground up enough to toss them apart. The queen wanted them to quit bickering like cubs.[/ul][/blockquote]

Darker did not relent at all in his attack, ignoring any and all wounds inflicted upon him. It was if he was possessed. The mist had grown even thicker, almost completely obscuring him. It could be a bit unsettling, as it was hard to see anything but his bright, white eyes. His claws continuously lashed out at both Shinku and Malluce, lunging forward again once again.
Neo nodded to Odysseia and lunged forward, over her, sailing forward in a single leap, reaching the scuffle. A single heavy paw would crash into the fighting, and anyone who was in its path would go fly. His claws may have been sheathed, but he had used an incredible amount of force, as Darker was rather large. The monster's expression did not change in the slightest as he did this. However, his eyes did move to Cameel at that point. "You are Zalui's aunt, yes? I remember you. I was hunting whales." He had no care for Darker, but he did not see Cameel as any sort of threat.
Darker was taken entirely by surprise as a heavy blow came to his side and sent him flying ten or so feet. His ribs were sore from where he had been hit and he was not terribly fast to stand up. He looked upon the attacker and for once, he knew he was outmatched. Or at least he could sense something deeply malevolent about the newcomer, despite his cool demeanor and calm words. Not to mention the fact that he was much larger, not just in height, but sheer mass. The new male was thicker with horns and sabers designed for fighting. He looked at Cameel, not sure whether or not to back down. This new fellow really put the odds against him, considering the numbers.
