Shakespeare was slow to settle. After such a walk, his entire back region ached, and settling down was no easy affair. He awkwardly stepped in tight circles a couple of times before laying his body down in the spot he chose. Immediately went about licking his fore-paws and working on cleaning himself up with a pleasant grooming session.
When food was offered, the Malefactor-mix heartily accepted with vocal expressions of gratitude. The food was greatly appreciated and would help him keep what little strength he had at his age. Then, with a belly half-full, the elder male placed one paw over the other and dosed off for a short while as the pride gathered. He didn't mean to be rude of course, but he lacked the energy a more youthful creature had. Unfortunately, because of this he failed to hear what Reno had said, waking only when his tail was pounced, and he turned to see a new cub. Blood Beast, even, half of the same kind.
The elder glanced to Omen, another Blood Beast, then back to the precious child. He smiled warmly, and began to flick his tail and make it a little harder to catch. Good fun, great practice, as long as he didn't turn around and seriously attack, of course. It's alright deary, he can play..." He assured the mother, "I do really love cubs, you see." He suddenly yawned, feeling the fatigue.
The sound of another cub, the sight of another Blood Beast. Wow this place had so many! What a rare occurrence! The Elder watched with great amusement as the youngster made her hyperactive arrival, but upon mentioning the idea of war and warrior as though it were a glorious thing, he frowned sadly, parting his lips as though about to say something, only to hesitate and change his mind. It was not his place to lecture these kids on how war is not a glorious thing, and how there is no pride in killing... He thought back to Porcelain and Lena, looking for them in the crowd as he wondered if bringing them here was ultimately the right thing to do...
