He watched Neo take off, and decided that a birds-eye-view of the territory would be effective. He wouldn't go far. With a few flaps of his charcoal wings, the male effortlessly took to the skies and looked around from his spot in the air following above the group, especially towards the areas that were not as accessible by land. He spent a while doing this until the sound of Neo's roar met his ears. He hadn't spotted anything anyways, so he decided to descend towards Cocaine and the Crimson brother. He quickly rejoined the group and walked towards them, ears tilted and listening for any new information.

COCAINE, FRACTURE, KEJETHAN, CARNAL, ODYSSEIA
Cocaine could practically kiss Neo.. though he didn't. Other things.. other times. He nodded to them both, ready to follow Corvette's lead. Cocaine was placing a lot of trust into Corvette at this point. The fish-feline no doubt had better senses in the rain than any of them. He'd come in handy. Fracture didn't question much of what was going on. He was pumped and ready to go. They would run for a while, they would take small breaks. Walking, jogging, running, pausing. Their venture would lead them to a vast jungle. This is where the real journey begins. (OOC: So I've sped it up a little. Next post can assume the search party is at the start of jungle now. I'd like their journey through jungle to be slower. Exploring it, moving through it, everything. I'll throw a few twists and turns in as we go, so we're not going too fast!) Kejethan nodded his head to Funeral. "Of course, come on, Kaz." He said and turned to head back to the scene with Kazbek. He was feeling a little bummed out, but anything was better than nothing. Kazbek though.. poor guy. No doubt he wanted a second battle story to share. Ah well. Kejethan doubted this was going to be the end of the war.. it was only the start, it seemed. Odysseia was to her paws now as Kimiko dashed to Hajime's dead body while the males headed back out to the scene of the crime. Her face spread concern. She was queen, though they hadn't formally announced it.. hell, it hadn't been hinted at even. Nevertheless, she moved forward quickly and stood just behind, and to the side, of Kimiko. Carnal had begun to approach, but in the interests of all parties, she turned to Carnal and shook her head firmly. It appeared the half-princess was about to protest, but instead sat down some distance away. Odysseia turned to Kimiko and the body again. Her eyes momentarily flickered up to Circa and Funeral. No doubt this was an important discussion.. however important it was, if it was urgent Odysseia hear it, Funeral would ask her to present herself.[/ul][/blockquote]

Shinku, Donato, Malluce, Jericho, Devyn, Samara
The three of them followed studiously. Shinku had taken up point at his uncle's side. Donato had stuck close to Cocaine, part of him wanting to ask more questions but knowing that saving their breath was of essence. Malluce walked along the edge of the party, on his own, avoiding Donato who had cuffed his ear earlier and for the most part avoiding everyone else too. He was who he was and who was this Donato guy to tell him to not be rude when someone suggested something silly? He gave an inaudible snort.
Jericho had been 3/4's out of Jungle by now. He'd had a small pause with Atryn, where they drank water, and Jericho had placed the cub on his flank to warm the tiny thing. They'd had a small conversation, where Atryn decided upon calling Jericho, Jerry. They'd also agreed that food was the next thing on their list on this little adventure, because they had certainly gone quite some ways. But Jericho knew with that follower they had to be quick about everything. Small prey it was going to be for now. He stood, grasping Atryn gently by his scruff once more, Jericho padded into the water, keeping Atryn high above it so not even his paw touched the glimmering stream, and swam across the first of rivers.
It cleaned his old scent of herbs and such, so when he crossed to the other side, he brushed up against more trees, more flowers, but this time he carried the scent of Jungle as he continued. He lunged forward into a run once more. Leaping across overgrowth, and ducking under some as well. Sometimes he'd lunge himself at one tree, then push off onto the next tree before coming back down to the ground to keep his scent wide spread. He circled an area here, once, twice, before breaking off from it, and then the vegetation was thinning.
Slowly the vegetation parted ways, green grass gave way to brown, and Jericho narrowed his eyes against the bright glaring sun compared to what had been in Jungle. He was lucky though. Now he had a set plan, a set course of destination. Now he knew where to go next. But first, he had to cut across Savannah. At least... For the creature following him, and for the party too, it would be a short crossing. He did not have to traverse from one side of Savannah to the other to get to where he wanted to go to next.
_____________________________________
Devyn pressed against his sister after having found her, then paused. "What the bloody hell happened here." He murmured, staring in shock at the body before them.
The female let Ryssor get settled, and then stood. She could feel her muscles burning with the added weight, but Samara was never one to complain. Keeping her gate smooth and steady, she walked back to the pride, then paused uncertainly. There, in the middle of it all, Kejethan and Kazbek had returned when she thought they had left with the party? The scent of blood was heavy in the air, and the pride was still gathered. She swallowed, her bright blood red eyes casting across the crowd.
To get to the dens easiest would be to cut straight in front of the thrown, but that's where the crowd was - and there was a gasp. Kimiko, screaming out a name. 'Hajime?' Samara shifted unnervingly, then began to pass by the crowd. However, when she came across one opening, she saw the body, and cringed. "Oh God." She wondered then... Her mind going back to when Nerante pointed her in the opposite direction of where he'd come from - although that had been the shortest route to get back to Meurtrier... She shook her head gently, mindful of Ryssor on her back. It wouldn't do good to start questioning things. Especially. She took a last glance at the body and then moved onwards. Hopefully no one would notice or stop them.

Neo continued to follow Corvette and glanced at Cocaine. "He has a better sense of smell than I do," he stated. He looked at the shark after the caudal fin at the end of his tail smacked him in the face. He darted faster after the land shark at that point, who seemed to have absolutely no issue holding the scent and following it at all. He was picking up the pace, but occasionally paused, checking plants and such that his quarry had bumped against on the way. He was quite swift and agile.
A soft groan emitted from Neo as they finally reached where Jericho had disappeared. Close quarters were not his ally in such a giant form. As he stepped in among the trees, his horns got caught on branches and he lost feathers to the thorns. He snarled quietly before his body disappear in a flourish of black mist, a large house cat standing where the huge brute had been, barely over a foot tall. Black with mismatched eyes and lush, long fur, he was much more nimble now. The shark tilted his head and continued to lead on, Neo now having no issue navigating. His agility was unrivaled by his much larger allies, if only because he could even fit through a small, hollow log at this point.

RYSSOR ~TRIGGER WARNING; HALLUCINATION, GRAPHIC DEATHS, NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE IN SPOILER~
Everything felt weak.. and dizzy. Was she losing strength.. or just tired? Everything began to blur into weird, unrecognisable shapes.. just blots and colours now, scents overwhelming her. Her thoughts moved to so many things.
Nerante. Cocaine. Atryn.
Damien.
That point of realisation had hit her ages ago, but she refused to accept it. But she knew she couldn't lie to herself. It was bad. Extremely bad. The worst the world could ever be at the moment. And then those thoughts went away when she heard a scream out nearby. Head pounded, and she felt her body drop into the nothingness.. falling into the darkness. And then suddenly..
Atryn.
Damien.
Scared. Screaming loudly while a shadow descends upon them. The shadow gives a wicked grin and bears its claws. Ryssor begins to run forward, trying to scream herself but it is no use. Her words fell on deaf ears, her running seems to not close the distance fast enough. No matter how hard she tried, she can only watch as the life was torn from her two sons. The shadow tearing into flesh, blood caking the razor sharp claws, the pitiful screams of the two and their calls for their mother ringing in her ears until they faded down, consumed by their pain and misery. Falling from life into darkness. Life to death.
Too soon.. too soon.
And what was left of the cubs once the shadow had disappeared? Nothing. A pool of blood, mangled bodies.. what was sweet and innocent had now been subjected to the psychopathic nature of others, as was life in the void that was called Shadow Veldt and beyond.
As Ryssor slowed her speed, she was getting closer to the cubs. The guilt of not being able to make it because she dragged her heels. She wanted to cherish every dying moment with her cubs, even if they were fading out of her mind. Fading out of existence, from the memories of all who knew them to spare the pain.
And then suddenly, she felt herself being choked, lifted. The shadow had grasped her by the neck, suffocating the life out of her. The shadow, although it was dark against dark, shone brightly and revealed its gaping, sharp fangs. And its demonic eyes.
"Death is around every corner.. Leontiyev.."
She struggled, but her attempts to free herself only made her attacker constrict further onto her throat. As much as she bared her teeth, trying to suck in all the air she could and thrash at the paw, the shadow was completely still. Impervious to her attacks.
"And soon, you will join them. You will join them all because you are worthless. Why.. why couldn't you just die.. why couldn't you.."
Incredible pain. So much incredible pain. As she clinged to dear life onto his arm, blood began to flow forth from the little holes where her claws used to be. The shadow leered a smile, and began to change shape. And then.. she was staring down the arms length right into Cocaine. His eyes were alight with the fires of hell. Staring down at her with all the pain and suffering he displayed, caused by her failures.
But then Cocaine changed shape. Dimitri had taken his place. And then her father.. Leontiyev I.
He.. he wouldn't let go. She was going to die too. The pain was too much.
She was going to die, deservedly, for her misgivings. Her failures.
"Why couldn't you just.."
The shadow surprised her again, when it morphed into Damien. Damien.. as an adult. "WHY?" He yelled at his mother, all the years worth of pain and misery flowing through as hate. "WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME TO DIE? WHY DID YOU LEAVE ATRYN TO DIE?"
Atryn took Damien's place now, shouting the same things to Ryssor. She struggled still. "N..NO!" She yelled to them. "I DIDN'T.. I didn't.. p-please.. s-stop.."
The shadow disappeared right after the broken mother had choked out her words, but she was still feeling like she was being deprived of oxygen, drowning, her throat burning and not letting go. And then she felt incredible pain, the most she'd ever experienced in her life and she cried out extremely loud, it all coming out in a roar of anguish.
"Why couldn't you just DIE?!"
It yelled and beckoned her to look straight down.. and foolishly, she did.
Nerante was there, smiling deviously. and showing off his razor sharp fangs. Blood trickled down his mouth before.. he let go. And Ryssor fell into the void. Where she would be joining the sons whom she failed.
--
The smell of rain. It smelt almost.. fresh.
Ryssor tried to blink, but everything felt heavy. She couldn't move anything. Her body. Her head. Her paws. They felt.. so damn heavy. Was she dead? Gone? No.. she couldn't be. She could hear voices. Voices that she knew belonged to those who hadn't died. She wasn't dead.
She blinked slowly, and finally was able to clear her vision. Was she back in the den? No.. she was still with Samara. But the female shaked hard, not from the cold but from her hallucinations that she had just experienced. Was she truly going crazy?
God fucking damn it.. her head pounded so hard.
And with that, Ryssor broke down into tears. Loud sobbing was slightly muffled into her paws. "D-Damien.. Damien.. Atryn.. fuck.. I- I'm so sorry.. I'm so god damn sorry!"

The King watched as members began to gather, and he watched somewhat blankly as Kimiko rushed forward to the deceased feline's side. There was perhaps a thin coat of sympathy beneath his stoic exterior but he had grown around this type of things; it was never different, and it was inevitable. His gaze watched Odysseia before glancing back down. He spoke lowly, gently. "We will give you space to mourn.." And would nod to those around, those that weren't as close to this member as Kimiko or whoever else, and would retreat just a few steps back.
His gaze caught Samara, and not long did Ryssor seem to awaken. He would not stop them; simply looked at them for a few cautious moments as he made sure they were - more or less - alright, before glancing back at Ody. A flick of the tail for her to come over.

COCAINE, FRACTURE, KEJETHAN, CARNAL, ODYSSEIA Also, on the behalf of Barbwriednoose, he says that Vitali is still following Jericho persistently. Also as a OOC note from myself, Cocaine's search party and Jericho are working on different time lines than the rest.)
He stated. Fracture nodded to that. His stomach had been grumbling for a bite to eat, and a chance to rest his paws was hard to pass up. He immediately began to help scent mark their little camp resting spot, eyes open for any potential means. Meanwhile, Cocaine had taken the chance to turn to Neo and Corvette. "Thank you both. The help is appreciated more than you can believe." His tone was low, and he dipped his head in respect and thanks to Neo and Corvette.
Nerante had cleaned himself thoroughly up and exited the den, only to find his handwork on display before the throne. Hajime. Dead. All broken and what not. He didn't pay too much attention to it, but he also didn't ignore it. He appeared to cringe at the sight, almost as if it hurt to think about. Then he turned back. Damien's funeral and vigil would be at sun fall. Though with the thunder and rain, all of the dark clouds, it was sort of hard to tell what the time was.. when the children got sleepy, perhaps. Children. Would Ryssor ever trust him with his children? Surely there was a way to convince her into letting him spend time with his own young. Convince her he'd done nothing wrong. Not now though. It wasn't the right time. She was unstable and he was.. recently off trial as a suspect to murder. Carnal had remained seated, though she wanted to inch forward, incredibly curious of what had happened to this Hajime guy. Odysseia had kept a close eye on everyone there. Curiosity spiked and they'd want to get in close; but it was clear Kimiko was most hurt by this. She knew Hajime. That was apparent. Her gaze fell on Funeral and she got to her paws and walked over to his side slowly, brushing up against him as she stood there. "A healer gone missing, a dead cub, and now this. He was the one we wanted to ask about Jericho, wasn't he..?" Her thoughts trailed as she looked down at the dead with a frown. Potential spy or not, it was a brutal death. Kejethan is waiting on Kazbek to inspect the scene.[/ul][/blockquote]

Circa & Kazbek
"Well..." The Captain started, looking at the body as long and as close as she could before growing very sick to her stomach. "It doesn't seem like any sort of person did this... He doesn't look torn by teeth, and from what I can see, his innards are in tact..." She mumbled to him, motioning to a slight spot where it may have stuck out. She shuddered and backed away slightly as Kimiko reacted the way she did, and her ears folded down... She must have knew him, what a horrible thing to come across. Looking to Funeral, a worried outlook covered her gaze, unsure of where to go from here.
Kazbek inspected the scene, all in all filled with more confusion than answers; but then again, he was no detective. They had found little to no signs of struggle, and blood- but not as much as you'd expect, as if it were clean or something. It really made his ears twitch, and his tail lash in frustration. He was clueless as to anything else that they could bring back to Funeral... Looking to Kejethan, he questioned whether he had found anything significant on his end.
((Hope that's okay, somewhat confused on the description of Hajime's death, but tell me if I didn't get something right or missed something ^^'' ))

Caylis
Caylis nodded and felt rain pour down and she nodded. "Yes, Commander." she nodded to Neo, Corvette and the other patrol members. "I shall go hunt. Anyone wish to come with me? I'll keep an eye out as well if Jericho or Atryn is near, Commander Cocaine." she offered, looking around the patrol members, rain was a good thing in hunting; it was hard to detect their scent but at least they had Corvette at their side.

[style=width:450px;margin: 0 auto 0 auto;background-color: white] Kimiko Bloom Crimson
Yes it was her cousin. Hajime. Dear Hajime. Kimiko's eyes flicked from one to another among her. The gruesome act couldn't possibly have been done by a La Morte member. Why would they attack someone on their side? It had to be either another enemy of Meutrier or... one of Meutrier's own members. Reds flicked, it could have been any of those around her for all she knew. She couldn't keep the tears back anymore. It was too much for her to handle, so she turned and ran away from the crowd.

He was mainly focused on the mission, and continued steadily even as the land around them changed. He wondered how long they had been out there. The rain and moisture weighed down his fur and pelt uncomfortably, but he supposed he would have to get used to it if he was to be at his best potential if things got violent in this environment. The travel wore on Crowther a little, but he knew he could keep going. However, sleep and a meal sounded good as well. Who knew how much further they had to go? Without a word, he nodded his thanks to Neo and Corvette. Neo's transformation wasn't entirely shocking to him, but rather interesting. The work of a god? Crowther shook the thought away and then gave a brief nod before setting out to look for prey. The creatures there were strange and different, but unlikely to be inedible. It didn't take him long to find a few boar piglets. He stalked them quietly, also keeping an eye out for any clues or signs left behind by the cubnapper.

Because I'm lazying, short posting. Everyone
Jericho pauses briefly in the middle of Savannah and quickly leaps a hawk that strayed too close out of the air. He rips it apart, gives whatever Atryn wants to him, and gulps down his share, then continues.
Shinku looks at his uncle as he shifts and narrows his eyes at him, flicking as a few feathers snagged on a random plant. "You're a cheater, Uncle Neo." He deadpanned. When they all paused, he waved his tail in response, and turned his gaze to Malluce, tilting his head in an invitation.
Malluce nodded in reply. Both trailed off in a random direction. An extremely short lived squeal was heard, and they brought some random Jungle creature each and dropped it down as the first prey to be caught, for the others to have their share first.
Donato looked at Cocaine, moving towards the Commander's side after he thanked the two creatures. "How are you faring, Cocaine?" He didn't ask if his old pal was alright, he knew the grief his mother felt when she had semi-lost him. He'd witnessed it with his own eyes.
Devyn glanced at his sister once more before looking forward, scanning the crowd. His eyes caught sight of Samara and Ryssor and he brushed his tail against his Carnal's flank. "I'll be right back, sis." He murmured, then trotted over to her. "Samara, right?" His eyes however, flicked upon the shaking form of Ryssor before he found himself snapping to attention at the black females' cold harsh words.
Samara felt the trembling begin, and her head twisted sharply to look at Ryssor upon her back. Her eyes widened, "Oh no, Ryssor, come on, stay with me." She shifted the female deliberately, but gently, to get a response of some sort, then the mourning that spilled from her lips began. Devyn had approached, and Samara tensed as he looked upon Ryssor. "Devyn!" She hissed out, her voice low, too low for anyone but him and Ryssor to hear. "Go get Iarri, but do not bring Nerante along what ever you do." When Devyn hesitated, she hissed again, "Now!"
Her bright blood red eyes caught Funeral's gaze, and she shook her head and sent him a near panicked look as her gaze flicked sharply to Ryssor. Part of her felt like Cocaine was going to kill her when he got back and realized she'd been taking care of Ryssor. But she would do her damnest to keep this woman alive. Without waiting for a response from Funeral, she turned and took a step before she realized she'd stayed in one place too long. Her muscles locked, her legs buckled, and she nearly dropped to the ground had it not been for sheer will power alone. Ryssor's sobs and shaking weren't helping either, but Sam wasn't going to snap at her. Instead, Samara pulled herself back up, and paw step by paw step forced herself to where the pond was by the dens, and then, and only then, did she gently lay herself down so she could basically roll Ryssor off of her back. Afterwards she would begin a thorough grooming of the feline whether she liked it or not.
Devyn rushed to the last place he saw the young feline and called out gently but urgently for her. If Nerante were around he'd simply keep his gaze forward unless spoken to. [/blockquote] Edited with Devyn finding Iarri. Sorry I've forgotten where she was so I improvised..

RYSSOR The female just continued trembling, in shock and in fear. Anxiety was starting to slowly override her. It was almost starting to feel like she couldn't breathe, was suffocating, her heart would explode out of her chest, she wanted to flee and run. Get away from those horrid images of her mind. Everywhere she looked, she would see shadows. All bearing the grins of sick murderers.
Her fear wanted to override her maternal instincts, her sense of preserving her children. It so desperately wanted to. It was smashing against the barrier, and it was already seeing cracks.
The world seemed to blur again, and she felt motions but also felt disconnected from it all. Her whines and sobs had gone down to quiet whimpering, feeling so strange.. a lack of energy. Was it the injuries or her madness? No.. it was a familiar feeling. One she had known all too well and hoped she wouldn't have to encounter again.
Suddenly, her body hit the ground. This startled her, snapping her eyes open for a moment but that was the extent of her energy. Small coughs escaped her muzzle, gasping for air as Samara began to groom her. The fear was still there, threatening to overwhelm her. But Samara..
Samara was there. Making sure she was okay. Making sure she wasn't going to die. And if she was.. then at least she'd go with someone she respected.
But she started to become more relaxed. Eventually she ceased making any noise all together, just signalling her status by breathing heavily.

ODYSSEIA, KEJETHAN, COCAINE, FRACTURE, CARNAL, NERANTE, NOVOCAIN, CASPER
She gestured quietly to where Kimiko had run off to. Odysseia would have gone after, but perhaps the girl needed her time alone, which the queen would respect. The muscled, dark male stood with Kazbek as they investigated the scene of the crime.. if it even was a crime. Kejethan couldn't recall ever seeing these spikes there before. They were definitely new. Blood pooled at the bottom.. it was horrible. Not that Kejethan couldn't handle it. After a thorough investigation, the best that he could offer was a shrug. "I don't see anything of significance to bring back to Funeral. Just the fact that I don't remember ever, ever seeing these spikes here before." He waited for Kazbek's response as he eyed the scene. A chill ran up his spine. What a horrible way to die... Carnal had gotten to her paws and retreated after Kimiko fled, despite Devyn saying he'd return. Too much stress.. too much of it. Her young, not yet born, would suffer no doubt. First time mother problems. She heaved a heavy sigh and headed back for the dens... actually, she veered off course and headed for Ryssor's den. She delicately gave Samara and Ryssor a nod.. dear Dante. Ryssor was a mess. It broke Carnal's heart... was that what it was? To lose your young? For a brief moment Carnal's thoughts went out to Najisi. Was this.. no. Najisi was a traitor. Carnal wasn't ... no. The half princess shook her head. No time for her own petty problems. Devyn had gone to fetch.. Iarri, right? Carnal felt a little faint herself. Perhaps a visit to the healers den was best. She wobbled over to where Devyn had called for Iarri, and brushed against him. "N.. Nerante? Seeing as Iarri will be busy, mind tending to me? I feel.. sick." She mumbled. Suddenly it was as if the world was spinning fast and she'd faint. The stress build up was too much for her. Thankfully (depending on how one viewed Nerante), the medic caught her in time. He glanced briefly and sternly at Devyn before he aided Carnal into the healers den. If Iarri had work to do, so be it, Nerante was busy readying for the funeral and taking care of Carnal, now. "What is it, Carnal?" He asked while he looked her over. She pushed him gently away, but he persisted. "Oi fuck off Ner I just 'avva headache.." She grumbled. Nerante paused and nodded. "Feverfew, Eat this, you'll be fine." He gave her the small flowers that resembled daisies. She gave them a sniff. They gave off a sharp tangy smell. Carnal ate them anyway and rested her head in the main den, refusing to head down into the other dens. It took up some of Nerante's space, but not much. He fixed the herbs and then continued to ready himself for his son's funeral. Novocain hadn't done much. This was a horrible day. Two dead, one missing, and his mother in exile. Meanwhile his father went on a personal search missing for his half brother, Atryn. It made Novocain sick to his stomach. All he truly had was Victoria and Firenze. His litter mates and partners in crime. He'd nuzzled them affectionately, but parted ways to investigate Hajime's body. When Kimiko was there, he'd stayed his distance, but now she was gone and anyone could approach. He got close to investigate, head held high as he looked down through his small mane, which had fallen across his face. "Brutal.." He murmured, then lowered his head and sat down. "Mhm." The voice surprised Novocain. He jumped a little and turned, but it was only his half brother, Casper. Son of Jasper and Cocaine.. what an odd mix. But it was also a lethal mix. Caspian and Casper were, without a doubt, some of the largest adolescents that anyone had seen. Genetics don't lie, huh. Casper leaned in with Novocain and they both gave the body a good look. "Wonder where Caspian is. It's his sort of thing.." Casper said. He longed for his brother. They had a very strong connection. Fracture looked over his shoulder at Caylis and shook his head. "No thanks. I thin we're all good to hunt on our own. It may bring in more food faster." He said. The borders were marked and their temporary camp set. Fracture glanced around and noticed everyone was either hunting or talking quietly among themselves. His thoughts went out to Odysseia, his sister, and to Stain. She was carrying his young.. and couldn't wait to return to check on her. Enough day dreaming though, Fracture headed out and manage to catch a boar piglet. Just one though. Combined efforts should be enough. Cocaine stretched and leaned to his side as everyone got to what they had, or wanted, to do. It was the first time he was away from Shadow Veldt since his family vacation. Ironic how that vacation was supposed to help the family, and now it was almost as if it'd broken them up. Ah well.. such was life for the commander, it seemed. Cocaine had a chance, in the dimming lights, to be to himself. Lost in thought. Well. Not yet. Donato wanted to talk. The previous commander of Meurtrier. Someone who Cocaine had worked under at one point. There had been once mutual respect, but in time passed, it was gone. He nodded to Donato however. They were practically equals out in the jungle on a mission to save a taken cub. "With what? There's a lot on my plate, Donato. From family to commander duties." He tilted his head at him.[/ul][/blockquote]

FIRENZE CALIVER Through thick and thin had Firenze stuck by with his litter mates. In their minds, they had been abandoned. Well.. at least that's what the young grey male thought. He couldn't really speak for his other brother and sister, whom went along in their own little way. But there was no denying that Firenze missed his mother dearly.. even if she was an apparent murderer.
If that was so, the love he held for her was still there. It was absent in his father, not so much with Ryssor.. or his stepmother, as it seemed to be now. He didn't hate her, but didn't love her either. In his heart, Stella would always be his beloved mother.
He looked up as Kimiko vacated the area, and Novocain stepped forward after the crowd went to do their own thing, perhaps a bit foolish. But begrudgingly, he followed in his brother's steps and finally had a good glimpse of the body. Hajime. His eyes widened at the sight of the deceased, and he simply said nothing but let out a small choke of surprise. He wasn't expecting it. He wasn't as aloof about it as Novocaine, but he didn't judge.
And then Casper appeared, the other half brother. As the brothers talked, Firenze turned to look at Hajime again. It was a strange thing to look at.. and he wasn't sure how to feel. He hadn't known this person at all. But it was wierd to look at still. He wasn't sad though.. sad as when Mother left.
He turned to Casper. "I saw him around a bit earlier.. dunno where he is now though." And then he turned to Novocaine. "Seen him around?"
