The lingering rage in her voice was heard, as well as her paw steps as she had came up beside him. What she told him next may have given him a twinge of a protective vibe but he knew this was life - and he knew all too well that his children would become women and men and have families and the like. His voice was even and deep. "Oh?" He looked at her wide gaze, and a small smile formed at the edge of his lips. "Then I do not doubt that you are ready for this responsibility. And if you are not, I want you and I to go, find this bastard, and show him what it means to lose their balls." Perhaps he enjoyed that idea more. Secretly. Or maybe not that secretly.

[/i] Asesino said. She was definitely a mother; to more than her own cubs. Content with her own reply, she turned back to Jasper, and nuzzled him.. though she couldn't exactly reach his face, which meant she got to what she could unless he'd lowered his head. "Of course, dear. Now?" She said.
Devyn had followed, as predicted, so she wasn't surprised. The comfort that he offered, while foreign, was welcomed. As was her father's response. It put a great responsibility on her shoulders, but at the same time, the thought of her father going berserk on Vitali and Kodiac had her quite amused. This could work in her favor. "Ah.. yeah.. well it is my first litter. I'm nervous, I won't lie, heh. But.. I just.." She lowered her gaze, frustrated. This vulnerability sucked. "Vitali and Kodiac.. but I.. well it wasn't that I objected, or didn't want it, but so caught up in the moment and being new to it.. I.. had kind of hoped for someone else, is all." She shuffled her paws, mildly embarrassed that she had anyone in mind at all. [/ul][/blockquote] |

His eye widened nearest too her. "Two men? Though, who can resist such a coy daughter of mine?" He would chuff affectionately to her and lean over to bump her in the shoulder with his own. He let out a few grunts of laughter before his ear perked at what she had said next. "You have someone in mind? Hmm.." He shrugged. "It is none of my business if you don't wish to share who, but I do understand the.. 'caught in the moment' experience." He perhaps put on a harmless smirk, but it quickly disappeared. "Nevertheless, I'm sure you'll be fine." He gave a bump to her cheek with his nose, likely out of reassurance.

Devyn flicked his ears forward. Now he had the names. He would kill them later. A glance at his father as he spoke. Well maybe seriously maim works instead. Not kill. No one touches his sister... Then she mentioned Kazbek. Without thinking he spoke, his mind flashing back to how the young male had helped his sister. "Kazbek I approve of." Then he blinked. Did he say that out loud? His gaze flicked to Funeral then Carnal. Oops. A sheepish grin crossed his face as he kept his gaze on his sister, and he chuckled softly. "Uhh. Heh. Not that you need my approval but..." He cleared his throat. Then reached over and head-butted her shoulder softly. "You'll make a great mom, Carnal," He smiled again then grinned. "But can I still maim the two?" He looked between Funeral and Carnal, the sheepish look still upon his face.

He listened to what Carnal said. Complicated, indeed. And yet a small grin plastered itself on his features as Devyn spoke his approval. "A formidable lad." He would lowly comment, and watched as Carnal's brother gave her reassurance. When his question came out his grin only grew, ivories showing and a deep laugh sounding. His head lowered as though he were about to pounce but instead stared at Devyn mischievously; as though a younger side popped out. "You bet your ass you can. But I'd like to get in on that, too. We can take 'em - two on two. What do you think, Carnal? Or would you like some flesh for yourself?" There was a joking shimmer in his gaze, obviously playing with them.

"You're welcome to." He mused deeply, before catching what she ended with. "I should say it does not in the least! You're providing Meurtrier with a future. And I know you'll teach them to be more fiery than their mother." He grinned, leaning over to give an affectionate nose bump to her. "They'll be such rascals."

Devyn snorted loudly, smirking at his dad before Carnal killed it, but it still made him chuckle. "Alright no maiming, but definitely scaring them." He nuzzled her picking up a paw and ruffling her mane as he did so. Then titled his head. "Dad is right you know. These cubs will be great, and fiery, and sure the timing sucks, but you're still contributing to the pride, sis." He gave her a warm smile. "And I hope everything goes good with Kazbek. He sure seemed fond of you back there." He murmured.
