[/i] His gaze fell on Vaska. "You would be in the guild with Leona, and Sinna, you would come home with us along with Camry." He looked back slowly to Ducarius. "I don't object to your suggestion as long as they all get along.. it's a tough thing to put on them.. but it's the start of something great. You four are absolutely brilliant." Reno looked at the young again, waiting for their responses.[/ul][/blockquote]

"Wait, but.. I.. ugh.. okay."

If it wasn't obvious then, it was obvious now; Vaska had heard it from his own stepfather, someone he at least held some respect to. But even then, he knew deep down inside that Reno wasn't his biological father. But he loved him with all the love he could spare for a father figure in his life. And now.. being forced from home, to live with his betrothed and a family that he wasn't familiar with.

He was old enough though, wasn't he? That was why they had come out here in the first place? Vaska still found the comfort of his mother and father-figure, but he wasn't expecting this to happen. But seeing as how Reno was insistent and he didn't want to embarrass the whole thing, he obligingly nodded to the leader before looking to his mother for some kind of support.[/color]

Najisi Kain

Najisi's lip curled into a half snarl at Ducarius. He was too.. Too.. Buisness like. Her children were living breathing creatures. They had feelings. They were not toys or pawns. And she didn't like how to the point he was and quick to pick out her son.

The queen trembled noticeably, though Reno could likely feel the slight vibrations her twitching gave off. Her gaze turned to her son. Her mother's eye catching his head shake. It was enough to make her want to revolt and break the deal herself! No.. Not again Najisi.. Reno isn't Funeral.. He's only doing what is best.. She held herself back.

"Vaska.. Sinna.."

She cooed softly. What was she supposed to do? They wanted Vaska.. She worried about how quickly they chose her son. Whats worse, they wanted cubs from this! They were still so young. Reno you are not getting bedroom points for that.. Her head turned to Ducarius.

"May I have a moment?"

It wasn't really a question. She was getting a moment with her cubs with or without this males consent. She nudged both to move a ways off, flicking her tail for Reno to follow. Maybe they could hear the young's thoughts. Unfortunately, if cubs were a priority.. she wanted Sinna to stay so she could watch over her during that time.

"Sinna, Vaska.. I want you to know.. I love you both. Very much. Never forget that, Okay? I don't want either of you to go. But.. do you remember your sister, Zenith? We are doing this so nothing like that ever happens again. Meurtrier is big. We need alliances so that our family will never be hurt again."

She sighed softly and nuzzled her cubs. Reno already voiced that he was fine with Vaska going. She felt like once again she had no say. Just like when Funeral implemented that stupid rule.. There were other ways to tie an alliance.. She shook her head and sighed.

"Vaska. You have a very important job.. My little prince.. Just try to make friends. It wont be forever. I promise. And if they try to make you do something you don't like, Run. The deal is off the moment they try to force you into anything. Just remember, my son. The girl that they are pairing you with feels the same way you do. Go easy on her."

She didn't WANT to let Vaska go. She was so afraid he'd hate her for it. So afraid he'd think she didn't love him. If only she could take his place.. She'd do it in a heartbeat. For any of her young.

Sinna

The grey 'ess breathed a sigh of bittersweet relief, she wanted to stay with her mother and La Morte. But poor Vaska... The obvious protest was in his voice, and her ears folded down in guilt. Her head turned slightly to nudge her muzzle under his, hoping to comfort him, even for just a moment. She may not have liked this, but she had to be strong for her pride, and damn straight she would do it. Her mother, on the other hand, wasn't taking it so hot either.

She had watched as the male stood taller in front of her, and she stood out as well. A pawstep wanted to be taken so she could introduce herself further- yet her mother's mew brought her back. Sinna sighed as her obviously distressed mother spoke, and leaned forward to nuzzle her as well. "Mother... I'll do anything to keep the pride safe." She assured, sounded more light hearted now that she was staying. Purple's turned to her brother as their mother pleaded to him, feeling sorry for him, but trying to look as if she were happy for him. "Hey, at least she's pretty Vas."

[/i] He said with hopes that this would ease their worries, but deep down he knew they still didn't want this... and he didn't want them to hate Najisi for it either.. "I know it's hard, but if.. if you feel any resentment for what's happening, feel it not toward your mother, but toward me." Reno said, then turned to face Ducarius and the other two there. He gave them a nod. This shouldn't take much longer.[/ul][/blockquote]

Vaska would be vaguely insulted at Reno's words, but even he couldn't bring himself to be that indignant. Of course he would never hold it against his mother or father for pushing him into this.. sometimes he just wished that they had asked him. That would have been appreciated. But nonetheless, he was perked up by his sister's nudge, and Vaska gave her a grin back. They had always shared a nice relationship with each other.

"Thanks, Sin." He replied back, before his gaze went to the other female. "Yes, she is.." He admitted bashfully, but the uneasiness was still there in his chest. Meeting new people, especially a potential life partner was horrifying to say the least. He knew exactly what she was feeling.

His eyes moved to the other group, and then to the parents. He gave a small nod, confirming that while he didn't like it, he'd go ahead with it nonetheless.

And then he bumped heads with his sibling. "Hey, take care of yourself, okay? If anyone goes wrong, I'll go big brother on him, promise." Of course, the other male looked pleasant enough. And there was no doubt that he was holding the same sort of thoughts towards Vaska. He moved to Najisi, seeing her look as horrible as ever at the fact of losing her son. The adolescent did nothing but nuzzle his mother affectionately.

"I'll be fine. Might not like it, but hey.." He turned to face Reno. "For the good of the pride, right? And hey, I'll come home when my little brothers and sisters are born, provided that's okay with the Guild. But in the meantime, I'll see you folks later. See how this all pans out."

Vaska didn't embrace Reno by any means, but just gave a nod to him and a reassuring expression. Nothing but respect for him. And he was only doing this for his pride. After the goodbyes were said to the party, he crossed the line between the two groups, leaving La Morte behind and onto the Guild. Not knowing Ducarius too well, Vaska just bowed his head to him.[/color]

Camille & Camry

Camry looked up at his father then back at Reno. Just before they had moved off he nodded. "I'd rather my sister be here in familiar paws then off somewhere she doesn't know." He spoke loud enough to be heard, then turned to Leona, and pressed his muzzle against her cheek, breathing in her scent deeply, and bringing up his paw to hug her tightly. "I love you sis. Be safe alright?" He was slowly accommodating but that didn't mean he didn't hate this. When the family parted to speak to each other, he turned to his mother and at last pressed against her.

She pulled him close when he did so, acknowledging his words. "Take care, Camry, baby. We'll visit often, and if at all something happens that you're not okay with you let us know, alright?" Camry nodded his head against her fur before he pulled away. Then he looked at Ducarious.

"I don't like this, but it needs to be done and I understand that. Just..." he looked back and forth between their parents then brushed his tail against Leona, "Make sure that guy is nice to Leona." He gave her a forced teasing smile, then dipped his head.

Camille gave a small laugh. Her son would grow strong that was for sure, she stepped close to Leona, brushing against her daughter. "Of course we will, Camry." She smiled at him.

Then he gave a sigh and nodded to them, stepping back. "If he steals one paw out ta line Leona, I wanna be the first to know." Another smile, a last hug. Then he stepped back and nodded to his dad, bumping his head against his shoulder. He would hate this for the longest of times, but he could not hate his parents. He had to grow up. He stood tall once more, and when Vaska crossed the line he looked at him steadily. "Take care of my sister." Was all he said, and should he get the expected reply, he would nod in return and walk over to Reno and Najisi. When he reached them, he dipped his head graciously, "Lord Reno, Lady Najisi." His gaze slid to Sinna. "Lady Sinna. Its a pleasure." His voice was tight, but courteous, and then he raised himself back to his full height and realized he was the slightest bit taller than her, just as he was the slightest bit taller than his sister.

The teenager gave a small nod to the other male as they crossed lines. "You do too." It wasn't a warning, but a tone of confidence. They were both somewhat unhappy to be leaving home, but hey.. that was life.

As he gave a short, simple nod of greeting to the members of his new home, he reached a particular stance with Leona and gave a small smile to her. He was betraying his feelings, but his sense of loyalty to the pride was overriding him.. and to be honest, she did look cute.

But time would tell, he supposed. He wished he could have found someone in La Morte though.. but then again, it was impossible.

Ugh.. was he really rationalising this? What if it didn't work out? How would the alliance go? Would it collapse before them and would La Morte have one more enemy to deal with? Suddenly a tremendous amount of pressure was placed on Vaska's shoulders.[/color]

Leona Novic

The forest demonic just stood and looked on at the other family as Reno spoke she felt a tiny bit of courage in his words, still standing up straight and trying to look proud for her family every muscle in her body was tensed and as Najisi turned to speak with her children she watched on until she heard Camry speak and suddenly nuzzle her. She lost her composure there as a single tear ran down her face and her body loosened as she nuzzled and clung to her brothers form as long as she could before letting him go with a sniff. "I love you too brother"she replied with a weak smile.

Though her smile and her tears soon turned into something bitter sweet as she managed to laugh at her brothers words. "I'll be fine Camry, if he does anything bad I'll whack him one"she laughed trying to ease her brothers concerns. "And if I hear you've been causing trouble I'll come all the way to La Morte and whack you too!"she teased giving her brother one last affectionate head but in return before he walked of to join La Morte just as Vaska was walking over to join them.

She managed to get rid of her tears in time straighting up again and smiling back politely at Vaska, she knew he must be feeling exactly what Camry's feeling having to leave the home he was born into and leave all the people he loved behind until he could visit them again. Part of her still wanted to yell out her protests of this betrothal and hope to put and end to Camry and Vaska's pain, but she didn't want to go against her fathers decision she was still a Loyal Guild member after all.

Still looking at Vaska she decided to speak a friendly smile still lit on her face "Let me be the first to welcome you to the guild I guess"she was nervous and still unsure about him besides the fact that he was a stranger she was to be betrothed too, but she would try her best as to not make him feel unwelcomed.

She glanced at where Camry was with the others and silently hoped he wouldn't feel to lonely out there.

Sinna

A tug at her heart nearly made her cringe as her and her brother shared what may be the last of affections for a while... Affection, god did it make her feel numb to let her brother go. But so it be, certain things had to be done, and it took bravery to do so. A bittersweet smile appeared on her maw as she caught sight of the demonic 'ess greeting him on the other side, and she hoped so much that they would actually love and be happy. Her situation, on the other hand, was to be attended to as well.

Giving one last nuzzle to her mother, she turned her attentions to the approaching Camry, who she hoped would get to lighten up sometime... Poor guy didn't look like the happiest soul to be courting her. Feeling a bit more comforted by the fact that her mother would still be by her side, a soft half smile appeared on her face as she padded up to him, and nodded. "The pleasures all mine, but no need to call me anything fancy, just Sinna would be fine." She mused a bit, trying to sound collected in the situation. Looking up to him only slightly, she noted that he actually was a bit taller than she was; he looked much more handsome standing tall, now if only he didn't look as if he was choking down displeasure. "Don't look so tense either, I promise we don't bite in La Morte."

[/i] And then his gaze flickered to Vaska.. oh how his heart hurt. It was almost as if his own son was being sent away. How poor Najisi felt.. no time for feelings like that. He inhaled sharply and nodded to Ducarius.

"Every full moon we could arrange visits, or every half and full moon. I realize that's a lot to ask, but it'll help keep our alliance even stronger. If we can agree to that, then I believe we can all head to our homes.. and new homes; second homes." He said carefully, not wanting to make them feel as if they were no longer apart of Guild or Morte.[/ul][/blockquote]

Ducarius Novic

Watching silently as the young exchanged words and switched sides, the guildmaster couldn't help but feel impressed by both his and Reno's children. Ducarius nodded to Camry and gave him a faint smile after he had crossed over, gesturing a 'well done'. As Vaska made it over to their side Duc welcomed him with a flick of his tail for the young boy to join them and a nod. "Welcome to the Guild, Vaska."

Ducarius couldn't agree more with what the other dominant had been saying. Offering Reno a nod he replied, "I can agree with everything you have suggested, It is indeed the best we can do for this alliance." He figured the meeting was coming to an end and began to gather his family, and new family, to begin their trek back home. "Well then, I'd say this was quite successful. I look forward to fighting by you, Reno, and all of you.. in the future." He dipped his head once to them all, but particularly to Reno and Najisi. Before making his departure Ducarius waited a moment for any last words from La Morte's dominant.

Najisi Kain

The ess watched her son move off and the Guild boy join their ranks. Sinna was trying to cheer him up. That was the spirit. If only she could feel so. Ah.. but if her cubs could see light in this, she could too. Reno proposed frequent meetings. This eased her greatly, knowing she'd see them often. They had a bit of leisure time. Meur hadn't found them yet. Things were good.

"Don't give them too much grief, Vaska."

She cooed to her son teasingly. It was a hope to cheer him up. She'd miss him so much. She then dipped her head to greet Camry. Hopefully he would enjoy his stay. Naji planned to make him happy and treat him like family.

"Welcome Camry. I hope you find La Morte to be a good place to stay for a bit."

She then turned her head up to nod to Ducarius and the mother. He agreed and Naji felt no reason to stay in this inbetween land any longer. There were things to back home.

"Let the alliance stand strong then."

He smiled to Ducarius, trying to be as humbled as he could be for a teenager barely of adult age being forced into a pride he didn't even understand. But the words rang true in his ears.. to hopefully prevent something like Zenith getting kidnapped from happening again. Already the thought of his little sibling in the wrong paws, far away from their family bought tears to his eyes. But he stumbled out of his thoughts and looked at the dominant leader of the Guild.

His new home.

"Thank you, sir." He replied politely. "It is a pleasure and a honour to be able to live here.
