RYSSOR How long had it been?
She didn't know.
Nothing seemed to make sense for her.
Atryn..
It had felt like days, months, years. Where had things gone so horribly wrong? Everything was fine. Until she became a whore. And now her family was in ruins. And she scrambled desperately to try and make sure she doesn't lose another son.
Through the storms that passed, the heat that beared down on her, how dirty and tired and hungry and overwhelmed with injuries from frantically searching for her dear son, Ryssor persisted on in a potentially fatal situation.
Atryn, please. Be alive. Please.
She could kill.
Kill without remorse. Take the life of whoever had stolen her beautiful boy. Return him safely to his siblings and they live happily from thereon in.
And that would come soon. Ryssor was optimistic.
She didn't even know if she had passed the borders of the Veldt or not. Things just seemed to.. blur. She tried to pick up scents, but the storm that had passed through had dulled the trails.
Soaking wet, feeling the heaviness of her pelt and her muscles wanting to give out, she struggled on. Even dizzy from her injuries, her bad leg for the first time in ages flaring up and gashes on her head from falling and what not.
That did not stop her one bit.
"Whoever you are.." She growled lowly to herself, pawing along closer to home. "Whoever stole my Atryn.. I will kill you. I will tear you apart. I will rip your eyes out. Make you feel the worst pain imaginable. Just the same as I will do to whoever killed Damien. Oh yes.. you.. whoever you are.. I will find you. And make you pay.."
And then.. she gave way. It all happened too fast. Suddenly she was limping along and then suddenly, she fell over. Her entire lower part of her body stained with mud, dirt, grass. Even as she struggled to move on, she still did.
But then.. she betrayed herself. Her morals. Her sense of being. Her objective.
She gave up and collapsed into the ground.

Samara
The black feline had left the meeting and everyone else. Too Mich emotion for her taste hung in the air. It tugged at her in ways she didn't want to be tugged at. However she caught site of Ryssor, the mother. Part of her wanted to ignore the female, but she found her paws already carrying her over. "Ryssor?" When she saw up close how the female was here she semi-paniced. This female meant a lot to the Commander. 'Shit.' Sam gave a roar for help, and then bent over the female and began grooming her wounds. She was no good at this thing, but she tried. "Its okay, Ryssor. Things will be okay. Help will come."

NERANTE
He pointed away from the path he came, which was where Hajime lay dead or dying. Ner looked down at Ryssor. "I know you're hurting, Ry. I am too. But we need to go back.. Cocaine is organizing a party to search and bring Atryn back home. He won't let Atryn go.. but please, Ryssor, there are more cubs back in the den and they need you too. And we should ready for Damien's funeral.." He spoke quietly in hopes she wouldn't be startled and lash out at him.[/ul][/blockquote]

RYSSOR Ryssor didn't give much reaction to being found by Samara. Seems like she had wanted to get away too. As she approached and called her name, Ry only showed that she was alive by giving off a small weep, body trembling. No no.. she didn't want this. She didn't want to be discovered. She only wanted to find her son.
She felt a tongue up against her wounds - she was being cleaned. Ryssor only closed her eyes, too weak to even protest back at her. After all, the female was only helping. And she appreciated it.
"Samara.. please.." She pleaded, although her voice was coming out more weaker. "My son.. I have to find him.. let me go.."
Her voice ceased when Nerante came to the scene. And suddenly, she felt her temper flare and strength return to her. His reassuring.. his quiet voice.. his disembodied, stoic, emotionless voice. And suddenly, she got to her paws quickly, without a second thought for Samara and faced her ex-mate with all her might.
"YOU'RE HURTING? YOU'RE FUCKING HURTING?! She trembled visibly. "YOU ARE NOT FUCKING HURTING, NERANTE IDEN-DONOVAN! IF YOU WERE, I WOULD KNOW. BUT YOU HAVE SHOWN NOTHING! NOTHING AT FUCKING ALL! YOU PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR A FATHER! YOU.. YOU LET DAMIEN DIE.. You.. you let me let Damien die.."
And with that, she turned around and began to limp away. "F-fuck you.. Nerante.. fuck you.. you might not give a shit about Atryn.. but I do. And if I will die to save my son, I would do that a million times over. And if you think you can use your bullshit to convince me otherwise. I love all of my little cubs; Evangeline, Caesar, Nerry, Jaenil, Nyss, Atryn.. I love them all. I trust Meurtrier. So if you dare question my judgement you irresponsible, immature, high-and-mighty fuck, I will stop you from seeing your children. Do you understand me? Take your morals and get the fuck out of here."

Samara's throat tightened at Ryssors pleading. She had never made friends with another female. Never been there for another female, never dealt with cubs or the loss of cubs. And yet here she was trying. Why, she didn't know. "I'm here Ryssor, I'll help." Was all she offered to the female, but the words had so many implications. When Nerante showed, she nodded to him, stepping back and beginning to move away - that was until Ryssor lashed out at him. Samara flinched, ducked down. More inner family problems. Something she knew automatically she wasn't privy to. She didn't look over her shoulder. She would only go back if Ryssor called her at this point. It was not her business and so she went to do as the medic said.

NERANTE
hurting Ry! You know me better than anyone, so why-- how --could you say I'm not hurting?! You know better than anyone how hard it is for me to display emotion, after everything.. don't you dare go off at me! I came here concerned for you, concerned for ALL of your cubs, his and mine included!" Nerante protested, hopeful she'd calm down. If not, and if she raged further, perhaps it'd drive her back to camp, away from him, toward Samara.[/ul][/blockquote]

RYSSOR Suddenly, something strange happened. Ryssor stopped. Her frail, limping, bloodied body stopped and she turned to face Nerante. Looking him over with her distant, hurt and determined pale blue eyes. Trying to see his game. She didn't want to give up on Atryn. Not in his time of need.
But she didn't have to do this all alone, she realised. This wasn't like when she escaped and went on her own. She had a pride and family. They would find her son again.
Taking a deep breath, she turned around. The wound on her head had reopened from her rage, streaking fresh blood down her face, past the bridge of her nose and dripping off to the right. But if she showed any physical pain, it wasn't there. One might think that Ry didn't even notice it.
"You've changed, Nerante," She muttered to him, limping past him. "Ever since Viciado had taught you to do necromancy, you've been weird. But I tolerated it and pulled through for you because I thought you were better than that. But now.. you're just strange. You have the eyes, the emotions of not a grieving father.. but something else. Remember.. I had to live with murderers for ages.. I told you that. You know that. I know you. This whole thing.. it's suspicious. I have no evidence to back me up though.. but I'm not stupid Nerante."
And with that said to him, she would drown him out for the rest of the day. Not let him near any of her cubs. Something was wrong. Maybe she was going crazy.. no, she was right. She wasn't stupid. She knew something was up.
"S..Samara!" She called out to her, limping as fast as she could towards her. "Wait.. I.. I'm going back. Would you mind escorting me back? I.. I promise I won't lash out again.. I'm just stressed.. and it wasn't directed at you."

Samara had kept walking forward, not quickening her pace but not slowing down either - until she heard her name called. The black ess jolted to a halt, and looked over her shoulder, ears perked high. When Ryssor said her piece, a part - an unwanted part - of Samara softened. She didn't look at Nerante, what had gone on between them was none of her business, but she waved her tail goodbye in politeness. "Of course, Ryssor. C'mon, and we should get you cleaned up before your cubs see you, huh?" It was a poor attempt at teasing her, and probably to grim, but Sam didn't know how to comfort another. Perhaps Ryssor would teach her. Without much prompting Sam pushed her shoulder up against Ryssors' own, lending her support to the female as they walked. She was telling Ryssor that if she wanted to lean against her, she could.

NERANTE
(By the time they arrive, it can be assumed that it switched over to THE CHASE, where Kejethan has dropped the body of Hajime. We can keep roleplaying here until Ner and Ry are ready for the funeral of Damien however :3)

RYSSOR The broken mother just gave a small 'hmpf' of bemusement, her calming down giving way to embarrassment at herself. No doubt she'd have some scars to show for the children once she got cleaned up. And she hoped that her haste to leave them was for a good reason, of course.
She gave a sigh afterwards, feeling better that Cocaine was at least searching for Atryn. More than could be said for the stranger behind them. She didn't even want to think about him anymore.. he was a shadow of his former self, changed somehow. No doubt by her.
She wanted to not feel constantly guilty for messing up her life and her family's lives, but it was hard. She cheated on Nerante, Damien was dead because she wasn't alert enough and same went for Atryn.
At least the support of the female beside her was something, a little thing, that made her feel better in the world. If things were different.. maybe Nerante would be the one supporting her. Ryssor saw them briefly in place, in love as they were a year ago, but that would never happen ever again. She needn't think about that. Her love was with someone else now.
".. Y-yeah," She murmured in reply, limping all the way back slowly to the dens. "Should get cleaned up.. heh.. don't wanna scare them after all.."

Samara made sure to keep to Ryssor's pace, and kept her side pressed against the other female as they continued to walk. A small half smile curled at her mouth and Sam huffed her mane out of her face. Blood red eyes glancing at her. "Nah, your cubs are tough from what I've seen. They wouldn't be scared so easily, especially once we get you cleaned up." Sam glanced ahead as Nerante moved forward, and part of her unintentionally felt bad for the guy. This whole thing must be at least the slightest bit rough on him if at all really. Sam stayed with Ryssor though. "Little mud and few scars shouldn't bother them at all." She kept her tone light, and mentioned nothing specifically of the pride or of the two missing cubs.

RYSSOR Ryssor gave the female next to her a small smile, a comforting one to her, even when the lioness was in pain herself. "I know what you're trying to do, cheering me up and all that," She mused as they limped along. "And.. and it's very much appreciated."
Since when was Ry usually this nice? Well.. she was having appreciation thoughts for the female, who was the first and shining beacon of light who had appeared to help her.
Ryssor barely took notice as Nerante shoved past them, glad that she was further and further away from him. A small shudder went through her body, and suddenly she felt the urge to speed up the speed they were going and get back to the den faster. But her head was throbbing, her legs burnt with the fury of a thousand suns and it was increasingly getting harder to walk.
"Ugh.. I don't think.. it's.. it's.." Her dizziness took hold for a brief moment, making her fall but not completely. She still braced onto Samara. "It's.. much worse.. I think."
Her head thumped and burned and hurt everywhere. How did she hurt herself this badly searching for her lost cub? The things a mother did for their kin.

Samara smiled back slightly, and then noted Ryssor's stance, the way she walked. "Well, I never found myself in this kind of situation, figured I'd try to help." She responded, and there, few seconds later Ryssor nearly fell. Sam shoved her shoulder under Ryssor's even more so to keep the feline up, worry etching across her face. She glanced at Nerante's quickly disappearing back then shook her head. Ryssor didn't want to be near him, she would get Iarri once they got there. "Come on, let's get you back now. With this rain and all, the longer you stay out the more likely things will get worse. You need to rest." And so... Samara took a chance and slipped down and under Ryssor, intending to basically pick the female up on her back.

RYSSOR It look Ry a good while to figure that Samara was offering to let her be carried on her back, and despite thoughts of saying that she could handle it, she could feel her strength leaving with each passing step. She needed help.
God, that felt awkward to say. Ryssor.. needing help. Someone who could survive in the wilderness, on her own, with a broken leg now needed help. Either it was worse than she was seeing it to be, or she had grown soft due to being a mother now.
Either way, Ry has no hesitance in being helped by Samara, letting herself rest on the female's back, head resting on hers, just feeling the soft motions of being taken back to the pride and the cold shivers that wracked through her body due to the injuries and the cold of the storm passing by.
She tried to relax.. but she couldn't. Nerante was starting to scare her.
