[style=float:left;margin:0px 15px 0px 0px;border:5px solid #3d0002;] Hunting was a science, Toberon supposed. One could not just go out into the forest and snatch up whatever prey they desired. It required a good deal of coordination, control, and knowledge of the prey itself. Toberon hadn't yet gotten all of these things down yet, but he had enough experience to know the basics of hunting. This time, these basic skills had served him fairly. The young male tore away at the carcass of a small bird. Feathers littered the ground of a small clearing and stuck in his pelt as he nibbled on his meal. The clearing was in the more foliaged area of the Shadow Veldt, a short distance from the camp. It was easy to access, but far enough out of the way so Toby could go there and hide out. After the first few bites, Toberon had stopped eating and was staring down at the bird. He was examining the inside of the body where it was torn open. He used his paw to poke around at it's bones and flesh, his head lowered so he could see it closely. He felt at it with his paws, not seeming to be bothered by this exploration of the bird's structure. He did all this with a child-like curiosity and interest, not in a disturbing way like others might have seen. He made an incision at the base of the wing. How was it possible for them to fly? Bacardi was at it again. She patrolled the Shadow Veldt, waiting for something to happen and looking for things to do. If she found nothing, usually she would make her own fun. More than incidentally, this was at the expense of others. Today seemed like one of those days for the young demonic lioness. She had laid low for a while. It seemed as if she had missed some interesting events involving her neighboring pride and some traitors or whatever. Good thing she wasn't one of them. Still, it was nothing she really cared about. Laying low had given her a short period to think and reflect on recent events. Her antics were great fun, but they were risky and surely had consequences. Would it really change her that much, though? Apparently not, even Bec doubted it. A devilish smirk was still plastered onto her face. As she made her rounds, the smell of fresh blood attracted her attention. She was drawn to it's source, and upon arriving on the scene she saw a young mutt slicing up a piece of prey. She hovered over his shoulder for a moment before yanking on his tail. "What the hell, kid. Ain't anyone ever told you not to play with your food? Or do you have to cut it up so ya' don't choke?" she sneered at him before taking a few steps back. Toberon yelped as his tail was stepped on and pulled. He pushed himself to his paws and looked at the female, his eyes wide from being surprised. He stood frozen as the demonic female picked up his bird and snapped it up in a single bite. Toby's fur prickled; he was both startled and offended. The sandy young male finally found his paws and scrambled away from her, around her legs and through the clearing. Delirious Faire-Xeiroz
A tongue rasped roughly over a tanned shoulder. There uncomfortably sat a small bur. Delirious had been working on it for awhile now, his gaze moving sluggishly over the area. Most days the assassin could be found keeping a hawk's eye on his young. He didn't want to coddle them, but he was never far away either, especially when it came to his son. Now Delirious didn't like to play favoritism with his and Tear's litter, yet there was no denying that the sandy male kept an exceptionally close eye on the only litter born son. Del was plopped behind Toberon and a small ways away. The boy had caught a bird and the father gave a light purr. Yellows flicked to a dark figure. Delirious paused in his bur removal to peer at Bacardi with suspicion. In his opinion she was no good. Her brutality would surely pay off in battle one day, but as it was now, she just couldn't seem to control herself. The moment the demonic touched Toberon, Delirious was on his paws. He didn't get there in time to save Toby his bird however. He watched his son run off, most likely in fear of being tormented further. Delirious stalked up behind Bacardi, grabbed her tail in turn and yanked her hard enough to drag her to him. A large paw was placed around and over her chest as he leaned in to whisper into her ear. "I don't give a rat's ass what your lineage is, you need to learn respect for others." A hard growl settled deep in his chest. "You better not let me catch you treating a cub like that again." He refrained from threating her harshly, but as he pulled away he gave her a bit of a shove before slowly padding in the direction the cub had fled.

Draco | Rose Donovan
"That's right, the father is right. You, miss should learn to respect others and learn your place." she said calmly, not even bothering to show her anger, her blues turned to reds. "Or perhaps I'll have to report to Funeral, Cocaine, Circa, Raegan and Hualde." she said with a smooth tone, raising a brow.
"Ah, nuh ye can't!" said an ever familiar voice to both Bec and Rose, the prairie demonic knew he was in deep shit but he didn't give a damn, he shrugged before winking at the red 'ess.
"Haven't they dealt with you already?" snapped Rose angrily as her reds narrowed, she didn't give a shit on what happened to her, but her unborn cubs were still inside her and she had to protect them in case these fools attacked, it seemed that the forest demonic was part of Draco's gang, or most likely.. the leader.

FARRAH & TEAR, PAROX
She asked. And just in time for Parox to stroll over to Bacardi, his cousin. He said nothing though; just liked to observe. Though that changed when more voices entered the seen and both he and Tear turned to look at Rose and Draco. Tear stood up with a growl. "We don't need you reinforcing what we say to our children." Tear snapped and then turned to face Draco. "And you, scum, shut it or I'll rip your tongue from your mouth. Behave well or get lost." She said. Parox hesitated, but he thought this may lead to trouble and prepared himself.[/ul][/blockquote]

[style=float:left;margin:0px 15px 0px 0px;border:5px solid #3d0002;] Toberon skidded to a stop as Delirious appeared before him. He gasped, still a bit shaken, but stood and watched as his father threatened his assailant. A feeling of satisfaction and resolution swelled within him as he observed. He bounded over to Delirious and tilted his head to look up at him with a giggle. "Dad, you're here!" he exclaimed, pawing at the older male's ankles. He stole a glance over to Bacardi with a rather pleased expression. His tongue poked from between his teeth, but he quickly withdrew it at her scowl. No matter, his father was a hero and the mean lady was no match. Toberon moved away and ran over to meet Farrah halfway. He looked past her to see his mother standing nearby. His whole family had come to his rescue! Too bad he couldn't show them his catch.. He seemed to shrink a little at her angry words, even if they weren't directed towards him. "Why's she mad?" He looked back at his father. His rounded ears flattened as he looked around almost nervously. "I'm okay now! Is it because of the bird?" Now this, he could understand. His fine catch had yet to be avenged. Bacardi watched in wicked pleasure as the little mutt scampered off. She swiped her tongue around her jaws and spat out a feather. Just as she was about to turn around to see where the runt went, a harsh yank to the tail swept her paws from underneath her and jerked her back into the paws of a male who looked.. interestingly similar. Her mood was quick to turn sour as she went to pull away. "Back off, asshole!" She hissed as she was lurched forward from the shove. "Alright. Jeez.." She turned around and took her tail in her paws, then rubbed at the spot where it had been pulled, pain still pulsing though it. "Pfft. Yours? Ya' must be proud," muttered the demonic lioness. What a stiff, she thought. What had that kid done to earn her respect? Kept her better fed, she guessed. Hah. Her ears twitched as she lowered her head, a glare sweeping around the area. She was now faintly aware of others around there as well. Hmph, where did they all come from? And Bec thought she had been unfollowed.. An eyebrow raised at the sound of voices directed towards her. She saw a red female as well as her little buddy Draco. " Yeah, a'kay. Ain't nobody who caares!" she barked in Rose's direction, "They don't wanna talk t'you." Her mood shifted again and she suddenly looked more enthused as her cousin came over. Her eyes snapped to to Draco before she stepped towards Parox. "Ey' boys," she greeted, her gaze shifty as she eyed the family. [/style]

Delirious Faire-Xeiroz
Nothing was said to dignify Bacardi's responses with an answer. A loving smile was slipped to the boy and Del placed a paw lightly on the top of Toberon's head, as if ruffling up his little mane. A quick lick was given before the cub dashed off to his sister. Delirious calmly seated himself once Tear came into view. He welcomed her approach with a glance and a nod. A crooked smile found him as the tan female at his side began snapping. "Who?" He didn't know if Toby referred to Tear or Bacardi; so he answered for both. "If you mean Bacardi, she's always mad, so it would be wise to steer clear of her until you're older. As for your mother.. Well let's just say you never want to mess with a mother's cubs." He gave the two children a wink before slowly lowering himself into a comfortable lay. Yet he remained watchful. Draco and Bec together never meant anything good, though he doubted anyone would try anything now that there was a crowd.

Nixen
Nixen walked in on the scene, raising an eyebrow at everyone before turning to look at his sister who had snapped at someone for clawing her tail. He snorted loudly then shook his head. "Bacardi, what'd ya do this time?" He teased, flicking his tail against her flank and nodding to his cousin, then turning cold eyes onto Draco, giving him a stiff nod. Ever since the male had eyed his sister when that whole 'punish Tanya' thing had been going on, he never really felt fond of the guy.
Then he turned to look at Rose, an annoying peppy creature in his mind, and then the family. [/blockquote] Really short - just something to get him in there for now :3

Renita
A commotion going on? Without her? Nonsense! The spunky brown demoness made her way onto the scene, fur prickled and ready to get into a scrap- she had not yet forgotten that her and Toby were adventure buddies as cubs, now someone was messing with him? Uh uh, no way. But she had arrived on the scene a little late, as Bacardi had already stalked off, yet the scene was still active with a nervous looking Toby and his snapping mother. Cocking her head, she made her way away from the fuss and towards her friend, sniffing him over.
"What the heck happened here? Why ya look so shook?" She mewed, blue eyes scanning around actively. A slight giggle was given as she looked towards Tear, "And why's your mom makin' a fuss?"

[/style] [atrb=width,500,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign,top][bg=3D0002] » TOBERON & BACARDI Toberon listened intently to his father and then nodded. "Oh, okay. If you say so!" His father knew everything! Of course there had to be some reason. There was one for everything! There was a reason for birds being able to fly, and there was a reason for the two females' anger. Did this happen to every mother? He would have liked to march up to the demonic female and demand some answers, but there were others now and it was more than intimidating. He felt a strange mix of aggravation and fear. Did she also want to know how birds flew? He was sure that eating it wasn't the correct method. Well, it was too late now anyway! Toby's eyes lit up at the sight of Renita. His fear seemed to be forgotten for the moment. He and his exploring buddy were a team that couldn't be beaten. He and Farrah had been through quite a bit as well already, and if they were a little bigger, not even Bacardi would want to mess with them. "I'm okay now, I promise!" he insisted. "Thanks to our dad." He returned his sister's nuzzle. "That girl dark one over there.." his voice lowered into a whisper, not wanting to be heard. "She pulled my tail and ate my bird without asking." He sounded exaggerated enough to make it seem like a big deal. "Make them.. go away." His skin crawled when that she-demon looked over at them. He didn't feel comfortable interacting with his family while they watched. Didn't they have anything better to do?
A wicked grin curved onto Bacardi's lips, her eyes still sweeping over the gathering family. Cubs- what terrors. Even for her. If the parents weren't around, Bec knew they would really have some fun. That's just what those kids needed in their lives, she decided. Someone tough; bullies were good for them. If those brats were sheltered their whole lives, they would be in for a real rude awakening when it was time to grow up. Of course, Bacardi would be the last person to preach about growing up, but the way she saw it, she was doing them a favor. Survival of the fittest, right? That's what the pride needed. If that kid couldn't even protect his lunch, then what good was he? She shook herself off, her coarse fur prickling. She chuckled darkly for some unspoken reason before turning to her brother. "Ayy bro, nice'a you to join us." She cocked her head, swatting at his leg as he flicked her with his tail. "Huh, why'ya lookin' at me for? Ah ain't done nothin'! Nothin'ta make a big deal of." She then lowered her head and looked around at those who had gathered. "Whatcha boys thinkin'?" Her ears pinned back and her tail lashed, wondering if they were going to chase them away now with more of them around. They'd better count their cubs first, Bacardi thought.

FARRAH, TEAR & PAROX, HAGAN, ARETA
Parox mumbled. He turned to see Tear had gotten to her paws. "Oh boy, here we go." The male turned ready to fight or flee based on what the female did. A deep growl rose from Tear. "Trouble makers, all of you. Get, go now. Get out of here." She snapped. Parox remained seated. He'd act upon what Bacardi did. Though he didn't miss Areta -- whom had seated herself some distance behind Tear, Delirious, and the other cubs. Her eyes were narrowed as she watched them.[/ul][/blockquote]

Renita
Vibrant blues turned towards the female of Toby's description. Oh, her. She hissed in her mind, before looking back to her friend. "Ah she's just a big bully! I hope your mom kicks her butt." She giggled, quite loud actually, somewhere inside hoping that the demoness heard her. A slight look of concern came over her as she saw Toby shudder though... Now that wasn't ok, he really looked upset. A high pitched growl emitted in her throat, and her pelt prickled. "I'll make 'em go away..." She muttered, turning and stomping towards the group of teens, fluffing up to make herself look larger as she went. However, she probably looked like a little walking fluffball... But at least she looked confident about it.
She came up behind Tear, chiming in as threatening as she could possibly be at her age. "Yeah, get out! Don't mess with my friend again or I'll rough ya up myself!" She spat, prickling as she paced in front of Tear's paws, yet wasn't willing to go any further.

Draco shrugged. "Dunno." he remained beside Bacardi, he'd only do what she would do, a sigh erupted from his maw as he wanted to flick Renita away with a paw. Bahaha! The little fella was funny! Pff. He just sat there but that would change if Bacardi went off.

[/style] [atrb=width,500,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign,top][bg=3D0002] » TOBERON & BACARDI Toberon couldn't help but wonder if all pure demonics were like that. That would explain the demonic part, he supposed. If that was the case, then he was glad he wasn't fully demonic! He didn't want to be like them. He knew he was a little bit, but he just assumed that was a clan thing. He looked to Renita and let out a squeak. "You'd do that for me?" She was quite brave! He inched towards her, peering over them at the adolescents on the other side. "Don't get hurt! Especially because of me." He had a feeling, almost a hope, that no such thing would happen with their parents round. Still, he would feel just terrible if Renita were in danger anyway. He lowered his head but looked up at whoever was above them.
Grinning still, Bacardi ground her teeth together as her gaze fell upon each who had just spoken. The smirk was quick to fade as she raised her head and her voice. "What? Nooobody knows? It ain't that hard!" She hissed as she stared down the guys of the group. Were they waiting on her or something? They were big boys, they could do whatever they wanted! That was how things worked. "Hmph." The dark female's attention was suddenly back on the others. Upon hearing what they had to say, she let out a snarl as she yelled across the clearing. "We don't have to listen to you! This is our territory too. We ain't doin nothing." Her eyes snapped to Renita. "Now sugar, I'd love to see that." She snorted and then turned back to the other male demonics. She took a few steps away anyway, glaring over her shoulder as she did so.
