            But how could Cocaine express how he truly felt? Emotion was such a foreign subject to him and the content within it even more. It put an emotional strain on his mind and, as result, a physical one. Though such conversations could not be put off. The matter at paw was of high importance. Cocaine just had no safe way of spilling his gut to her. His cold and usually empty gaze fell on the cubs and those navy colored eyes of his went warm at the sight of his cubs. It was a feeling he had before with Stella, but never this strong.
But then he looked at the young that were, without a doubt, fathered by Nerante. Everything that Cocaine had come to discuss with Ryssor would reflect on the young healer at one point or another. The Commander hardly thought that what was to come would be any good for the three felines.
Well, maybe just Nerante. Cocaine held a high position of power and that could aid Ryssor should she need it.
Corruption among the ranks. The game was never fair. Made by and for the powerful.   It was as if the words had hit her like an oncoming cheetah, unrelentless, no mercy, it just tore at her mind and made her realise all the emotions flooding through. Ryssor knew it - she had known it since he had come up with the somber look on his face. The commander she always knew about wasn't there, for that moment of silence, and for the first time since their encounter, she was seeing something else within him.

I definitely feel bad for Stella too. And when you find out what happens to her ultimately, you gon' be REAL sad. |
