Circa Da'ei
"Oh, congratulations! You diffidently deserve it, Commander Cocaine." She said, fondling the new title on her tongue, and trying to give a humorous grin. It was the best shortening of it she could think of at the moment, regardless if he liked it or not. But he wasn't finished, and she listened intently to what he said next. Her heart skipped a beat, she was to be the permanent captain now? Unsure if she heard Cocaine correctly, she looked to Funeral for assurance. Yes, she heard right, and the small grin of encouragement on the leader's face made her heart warm.
"My goodness- I mean, I'm honored to take the rank of Captain. Truth be told, I had aimed for Agent when I was younger- but this... Well I never thought I'd get this far, thank you." She said, realizing her excitement might make her look unprofessional, and she quickly held her tongue. Most of her mind was greatly anticipated for such responsibility, but in the back lingered her other thoughts. What about Jasper's disposition? How would he feel now that she would stay? And what about the missing members? As the Second and Leader discussed what they were to do next, she eased the worries, and sat eagerly, ready to hear whatever was needed to be discussed. Though she was also pretty eager to- once again- see the look on Zalui's face when he hears this news.

The King's grin held and perhaps even grew a bit at the new Captain, nodding. "It's no problem at all. You deserved it for the work you've done, and I wouldn't want anyone else in the position." He would turn to Cocaine next, as he mentioned and announcement to come as well as the subject at hand.
"We'll discuss the matter now. And just for simple clarity, Circa," He turned to her, his face dangerously serious, now. The grin once plastered upon his lips gone, as though it were never there. "You are to never flaunt your knowledge of what we discuss together with anyone else unless I or your Commander say otherwise. We talk privately for a reason, not so everything we try to keep hidden is let out amongst our comrades." But he felt like she knew this already. Or, should know this. So he didn't linger on it much, and turned to give a glance at Cocaine before speaking. "I'm not sure if you've noticed, but lately some of our members have seemed to.. disappear. Najisi is one of them, with Reno, Brynneth, and Lothaire. Unfortunately you've only just been promoted, Cocaine and I have felt suspicion for quite some time, so this may not make much sense to you. But, long story short, we believe they are traitors. And when I found them gone, it just raised suspicion as well as how true this assumption was."

Cocaine said. The grin faded quickly before anyone else besides the two with him could notice. Mention of the agent position reminded him that Grenade seemed fit for that spot. Perhaps later he could talk to Funeral, alone, regarding that. For now the topic of discussion was the promotion and the missing traitors. Funeral's next words, though serious, were met with a nod by Cocaine. If anyone could be considered stricter on the subject than Funeral, it had to be Cocaine. The Commander was definitely not one to goof around, or allow goofing around, when it came to such serious, secretive topics. Cocaine waited until Funeral had finished talking to add his own. "We had hoped to trail them more and listen in on what they were up to; but they've vanished before we could complete that task. With news of them gone, I think it'd be best we send out search parties to try and track them down. See what way they went, at the very least. But this is all after the coming public announcement." He turned his gaze solely on Funeral. "The pride deserves to know that it harbored traitors for some time and that we won't tolerate it. Anyone who has any knowledge regarding Najisi, Reno, Lothaire or Brynneth need to come forward at once. Perhaps even Krankheit. I noted that guy seemed to linger around Reno a lot. It's worth looking into."[/ul][/blockquote][/div] Table Coding © Warrah Editing - Kahara "I'm Speaking!' | I'm thinking.

Circa Da'ei
The smile from the Commander was nearly shocking, and the fact tat she had received a grin from both the higher-ups, meant she must be doing good. As Funeral lay out his terms, she nodded understandingly. If important things were to slip, depending on the situation, it could cause rumors, or even panic amongst the pride members. "Understood, sir. What is private stays private, unless otherwise noted- by you." Her pride and excitement began to slip back into the further reaches of her mind, as seriousness began to show on her face. It was obvious with the warning that Funeral had something important to discuss, it was business time.
She listened to Funeral... Then Cocaine... And she felt her heart sink. Not for herself, her own feelings, as she could care less about any of the traitors. But it slowly sunk in; the fact that Brynneth had not been hurt. She'd left, willingly. She left her cubs. And though Circa loved them very much, the fact that Brynneth had dumped them on her... Anger, by the littlest bit, began to show on Circa's face. Just the thought of how she comforted her, how she was always there like a friend and even cared for her cubs, made her suddenly want to claw that dim witted lioness in the face. But as soon as she thought the anger showed, she stopped herself. Don't let it cloud your vision, just listen. "It disappoints me to hear such a thing..." She started, muttering once Cocaine was through.
"M'lord... If there is a search party, perhaps we should test out the spy's skills to find them first, aided with some choice warriors in case things get heated? Once we know where they are, then we can plan what to do about them." She said, offering her input and hoping that it was acceptable. It was, to say the least, odd to be in this discussion with the leaders.

"The only thing that worries me about an announcement is that - forgive my skeptical thinking - they may have left spies back amongst our ranks to keep tabs on what goes on. It's not that I don't trust our comrades, but there were plenty of members that left that I didn't even know had anything to do with Najisi. And they may or may not, but it still doesn't say for a fact that they didn't stay safe than sorry and leave someone here to make sure their cover isn't blown. Knowledge from the inside, you know." He turned quiet for a moment. "If we do announce it, we'll have to make sure everyone looks out for any suspicious behavior, and to notify us as soon as possible if it's seen amongst our ranks. They understand the punishment, but that doesn't always work with stubborn individuals. They deserve to know, but we must take precaution."
The King turned to Circa as she spoke. "We would have to select some choice spies and warriors who we know for a fact are loyal, dedicated to Meurtrier. I don't want to risk anything."
"And don't get me wrong, I trust my pride. I have faith that they understand this: betraying that trust is dangerous. And if that is faltered with, may the strings of their tendons and muscle hang loose between my claws. I suppose that is what I'm trying to avoid." He glanced between the two of them.

He paused to let this sink in. Once he allowed a moment of silence to pass between them, he continued. "Pushing the announcement is the best thing we can do. If they do have spies here, and the spies tell the traitors of the announcement, it shows that we know they're gone and that we're not going to let this go untouched. Un-Investigated. And so on. It may strike paranoia into them. All in all, I agree with you and understand your points; but I do strongly feel that an announcement is in order. It will also keep rumors from spreading."Cocaine finished talking and again, allowed for Funeral and Circa to take the time to think about what The Commander had said; but he still had more to say, so he went on. "Grenade is, no doubt, one of our best spies. If not the best. If anyone should investigate this, it should be Grenade." Circa Da'ei
Circa remained quiet as she listened to the both of them, processing it all, and trying to think of her own input. "If we're looking for loyalty, Jasper is also someone who we could look at. He is very smart, investigation wise, and in his smaller form; well he could be potentially as undetectable as the spies, could he not?" She said, looking towards the Lord to see what he thought about that, before continuing. "And I agree with Cocaine, that the announcements should go on about the traitors; the pride does deserve to know least about that." She said, suddenly thinking of another idea. "I trust most of our members, but I also trusted Brynneth... We need to keep an eye out for anyone leaving in patterns or at odd times; such as right after the announcement. I hate to say we need surveillance on them, but only as a precaution. For all we know, they may not have left spies at all... In my opinion, that wouldn't be a very smart idea on their part, it would only give us a path to them."

The King contemplated the words quietly, nodding along slightly before speaking. "Rumors are definitely not something that we want. ...Yes, we do owe them knowledge. It's the least we can do." The fact that this may strike paranoia into their enemy had Funeral's lips twitching upwards at the ends. "I'm not sure if the traitors know of Jasper's form or not, but he excels in stealth, yes."
Funeral looked about, giving a small sigh. "I've been keeping track of who comes into the pride ever since Ceon's defeat, in my own state of paranoia that perhaps they were on his terms. I suppose this is no different should anyone leave at a specific point of time. I'd ask for a reason to, but that's also open to white lies and they have the freedom to leave the pride should they wish, anyway. But still...," He turned back to them, nodding. "We'll inform them, and tell them to tell any of us should they detect.. questionable behavior. We all agree?"

Circa Da'ei
Circa nodded, thankful that they had considered her decision, not to mention given her the option to not agree. It was actually quite an honor to her; to be apart of what seemed to her as; a council. It was an odd thing to take in, but she would get used to it quickly, and as flawless as hopefully possible. The announcement was here, and she nodded respectfully. "I agree." She said, there was no reason at all why she wouldn't. Meanwhile, the anticipation was gathering again... Both at the revealing to the pride of the traitors, and the revealing of her as being the new captain.

A red little creature trotted through the lush flora, charcoal spires protruding from his skull. Behind him trailed a larger, darker cub. Both had blue eyes and shared some traits. Both had quite powerful builds, even for youths. But the larger one seemed a bit hesitant and perhaps more shy. "Caspian," the red cub chided. "Father said you must meet the captain." The black cub looked down at the grass a bit and shrugged. "Hey, don't worry. I'm sure he'll love you, too. After all you're his son too. And both you and Casper have seemed to win Neo over." He was not sure where his other half brother was currently, but he was not terribly concerned.
"Fine, Dante," Caspian sighed. Dante's teeth latched onto is tail for a brief moment and the larger cub jumped into the air, startled, then growled playfully and dashed after Dante as his brother ran off.
Dante almost slammed into the legs of Funeral, who was humorously enough, his cousin. He spun in a half circle at the last moment and passed between the king's back legs and off the the side. "Captain Cocaine!" Dante shouted, prancing about, obviously one of the friendliest members of the pride at his age. "Sir, I need to talk to you about my brothers," he stated seriously, though it was quite amusing given his features and obvious age. Caspian appeared mortified. He wondered why his elder was so lax about someone of such high stature. "And your sons. Your youngest sons, that is. My daddy would have come but someone tried to poison Chardonnay and he is nursing her back to health."

Caylis and Rose Donovan were walking beside each other, they were chattering away, it seemed that the Hallowess and the Donovan got along quite well. The red female looked up to her first cousin, Funeral and nodded to him with respect. "Good day, m'lord. Captain Cocaine, Circa." said Rose with a deep nod of respect, she would serve this pride to the death and she would never, ever betray them. That was for sure.
Caylis sensed that something was going on.. but what? Instead, she sat down beneath the throne and watched with a curious gaze while Rose sat by herself, wondering if anyone else were to sit by her. Perhaps even one of her family members, it would be much appreciated to her, to get to know her family more Ever since she returned from such a long time ever since Blitzkrieg and Meurtrier were at war and allied at the cost of Balthier's life, she missed her pride and family. It was about time she would return.

Funeral nodded to each of them in turn, and just as he was about to turn, mouth open to collect the pride, the two fumbling children came over, Funeral lifting his paw momentarily so the child didn't hit into him. His gaze followed up to Cocaine as they spoke to him before staring at the children. He noted what they said and left it to the three to discuss their intentions, holding off calling an announcement until they were finished speaking.
At his title being called, the King turned down and nodded toward the two females below briefly. He kept a silent demeanor, looking out toward the pride and keeping an ear pricked toward the children and commander.

He turned his attention down toward the children and offered them a small smile. It was weak but the best he could offer. "It can wait, though. We're about to hold an announcement regarding some very important information." Cocaine said and then another figure appeared. Two, actually. Caylis and Rose. He nodded to them both and then looked to Funeral. It was time for the announcement. No more interruptions; they needed to get this information out as well as announce the promotions.[/ul][/blockquote][/div] Table Coding © Warrah Editing - Kahara "I'm Speaking!' | I'm thinking. Straightening himself up, the King would nod briefly before giving once last glance toward the lands. With a breath in, he would let out a bellow the pride would know very well. His roar; that called them together. That either gave urgency or a casual feeling. In this instant, it was the latter, but did not remove the importance of the call.
Whenever the members would begin to arrive, Funeral would nod to each of them in turn, readying the words he would announce to them all in his head thrice over, patiently waiting.
