Alfwin watched his parents dash off, tilting his head as he processed their logic. He did not think it mattered much if others were at the pool before they reached it. Thus, he just trotted behind the racing pack of felines, unperturbed by their absence. He was aware that he was different, but that was not necessarily a bad thing. He glanced up at Circa and moved beside her. “Is this a waste of energy? I thought we were about to go swimming, and that uses a lot of energy, right?” He shook his head and glanced at the thin claws on his young paws. “And we sheath our claws because the ground dulls them, right? Our claws are made for hunting and climbing? Not for traction, like dogs, right?”
He was obviously the last of his siblings to reach the water, but he was not at all out of breath because he had not tried to keep up with his much larger parents. The water showed him what he looked like and he could be caught, staring at his features. What he thought was hard to tell, however. He looked to Edmund and Corona, curious what they were doing.

(Were you waiting for me? If it wasn't my turn, I'll delete this c:)
Brynneth put her paw in the little lake. "It's shallow, they won't drown." she murmured to herself. She stepped into the water and flicked her tail for her children to follow. "Put your paws into the water and keep moving them forward, keep your back legs moving too. If you need any help, just ask me. Remember, when you grow older, you never know when an intruder may come in. You'd have to chase it out in order to get it out of Shadow Veldt. You want to make your leader and captain happy, do you?" she purred, even though she followed Reno and Najisi now, she still needed to make the secret hidden. 'And.. this will be our little secret, hm?' played Reno's words in her mind. She couldn't let him down.

Circa Da'ei Xemvoi & Edmund Helios
Circa chuckled, looking down to the cub as they walked side by side, lagging behind the others. She smiled to him and raised her eyebrows, "Alfwin, you're at the age of boundless energy... You shouldn't worry about wasting it, you wont have it forever." She meowed, looking ahead and continuing to herself, still somewhat perplexed by the cub's old nature, "Yes, we use them for hunting and climbing, other than that they are mostly sheathed. We need not unsheath them unless threatened, hunting, or climbing."
When they finally reached the others, she parted from Alfwin's side to let him join his siblings, and she looked on enthusiastically, before taking a step in the water. Edmund looked as if her were about to jump in carelessly, so she prepared to catch him, and set him down gently in the water. "Not so fast eager McBeavers! You're still small so you gotta get your footing first. Plus... It's not wise to jump into a shallow pool, Edmund." With the mention of his name the little cub gave a devious smile, but lowered himself more gently into the water.

Brynn gave her son a stern look and shook her head slowly. "'Auntie' Circa is right, Edmund. You could hurt yourself or worse. After every cub knows how to swim, your father is going to teach you a few things about the law." her eyes lit up with pride as her voice softened at her last sentence.
The demonic lion, not paying attention was worrying about what Cocaine had said before the cubs ever opened their eyes. Would they be strong enough to pass Cocaine's test? His green gaze looked over to Circa with worry, his eyes showing bright concern as if spoken in words.

Corona Sulliveri
Corona watched with delight as Edmund got himself a bit of a scolding. Green's moved up to Brynneth quizzically. "Why should we care about impressing them?" She scoffed bitterly, one tiny paw dipping into the water before drawing back with a shake. What did she have to prove? Nothing, as far as she was concerned. As for chasing away trespassers, she could do that with her eyes closed! To emphasis this thought the little 'ess proceeded to barrel herself into Edmund with a loud playful snarl.

Icarus chuckled at the fact his daughter barreled herself into Edmund. Cubs will be cubs. "I'm gonna eat you..." he chuckled a 'sinister' laugh as if he were Cocaine. Brynneth snickered and yelled to her cubs. "Run away from your daddy, he's gonna get ya!" the 'ess gasped as she heard a branch snap. Icarus was about to run after them but he turned his head slowly to find himself face to face with Tanya with a cold gaze. "Give me the cubs." she looked coldly to Brynneth as she narrowed her eyes on the cubs. How disgusting! Brynneth's blood was in these.
Icarus snarled. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" the demonic's fur was on end as he growled, his claws unsheathed. Tanya chuckled. "Oh, Icarus, put your claws in, you know it's useless to fight."
Brynneth growled and stood in front of her cubs. "Don't any of you dare to go near her. She's dangerous, she trying to cause a fight."
Icarus raised his voice. "I have a reason to fight for them! And, you don't have a right to harm them emotionally or physically. Now grow up and act like an adult before I'll make sure that someone knows. I'll tell Raegan if I have to."
Tanya shrugged. "Go the fuck ahead, I don't care what they say." Icarus had it, his claws were at full extend. "Try it and you'll be in a world of hurt." Tanya growled and leaped, a yowl escaping her maw. Brynneth's fur bristled and turned to Circa. "Get them out of here, tell Funeral, anybody. And fast before someone gets hurt. I'll handle the cubs."

Circa Da'ei Xemvoi & Edmund Helios
Edmund gave a surprised squeak as his sister rammed into him, and he laughed loudly to turn and bat his sister back playfully. He was enjoying himself, even more when his father pretended to be Cocaine; he leaped up and ran as fast as he could, determined not to be 'eaten'.
But suddenly the atmosphere grew tense, and he skidded to a halt next to his sister... There was a new person in the picture, and suddenly the fun was interrupted.
Circa felt it immediately when Tanya stepped in and demanded them, leaping in front of the cubs exposed along with Brynneth, and giving a horrid snarl to combat the white demonic's sass. She was too busy snarling to speak back, but what she heard was damn trivial... "Screw tattle telling, rip her a new one!" She hissed under her breath, mostly to Brynneth.
Then the 'ess leaped and Brynneth's plea to her cried out, Circa was caught in surprise. There was one lioness, they could take her on could they not? Jesus they had three people there! It was so simple! But was Tanya really dumb enough to do this solo? Could there be more? The thought couldn't be pondered, she simply did as Brynneth said- but before she bolted to find someone, she reached with her maw and snatched up a cub from under her friend, at least she could make sure one of them was out of harm's way. As she jolted back to camp, she eventually realized she had snatched up Alfwin in her jaws.

With a flash of black fur, Caylis shot upwards and met Tanya in mid-air. "Traitor!" snarled the Hallow as she pinned her down easily, until Tanya pushed her in mid-air and sent her crashing into Brynneth. "Oof! Sorry, Brynn!" growled the Hallow as she glared at Tanya. It was Icarus's turn to fight, he rushed forward, headbutted her side and sliced the bridge of her nose. Brynneth nuzzled her other cubs. "Follow auntie Circa, make sure that fool doesn't follow you, alright? Be careful and look after each other. Daddy and Caylis are going to teach this demonic lioness a lesson."
Tanya screeched as she leaped onto his back and dug into his flesh with her teeth. "Yeow-reow-reow!" screeched Icarus in pain as he was struggling to get her off. Caylis snarled and tackled Tanya. "He's a new father, don't you have any respect?" she snarled. So this was what it's like to fight off a traitor, even though she was a traitor in many prides, it felt awkward to be like this.
She snapped back to reality as Tanya tore her ear open, blood splattering the grass and onto Tanya's white fur. She smirked as she headed for the cubs and attempted to grasp one. Icarus yowled. "WATCH OUT!" Within a heartbeat, Tanya whipped around, stood on her hind legs and took a blow to the side of his neck, blood drawn. "AGH!" yowled Icarus as he was sent tumbling into the water. Icarus saw nothing but a blackness, still hearing with dismay the cries and screams of fury and fear. Caylis and Brynneth's eyes widened as he grunted, coughing up blood. "You-you BASTARD!" snarled Brynneth as she charged for Tanya. The Leucistic demonic may have been a weak fighter but when she tried her hardest in real battle, she could get some nasty blows. After all she was an assassin. It was her strategy, she guessed.
Thunder started to boom as rain fell, blood started flowing from Icarus's neck wound into the water.

Alfwin Helios sat at the water’s edge, heaving slightly. It seemed as if they would not be swimming after all. Instead of striking out on his own, he laid down and rested his head on his paws, silently observing the antics of his siblings. “Father, is it wise to mock the captain?” His eyes were half closed, as if bored, but he was quite alert. He was pleased that Circa did not coddle him as his parents did. While it was true that he was young, he did not play around so much. He wanted to learn, to grow up swiftly.
When Tanya approached, the fur along his spine bristled more than noticeably. He stood and moved between Circa’s front paws, as she was closest. Then he moved to his mother, not sure what to do. “Why does everyone swear so much?” he mumbled. “It doesn’t seem very matuuuuurrrr—!” His voice went up in pitch as he was grabbed by Circa and bounced about. “Ouch,” he grumbled. “Why are we running? Three against one? Would those not be good odds?” He was not yet concerned about who she was. All he knew was that she was an enemy.
Adelaide had been minding her own business, lying about in the sun, the Bengal tiger quite content at the moment. She was happy with her lot in the clan and things seemed peaceful. But it was not destined to last. Coarse, loud language reached her round ears and she slowly rose to her white paws, striding over to where the others were. She regarded Tanya carefully, jaws parted as she tasted the air, revealing thick fangs. “Is there a problem?” inquired the tigress. She was a rare coloration, a golden tabby Bengal, so her stripes made her stand out even among her kin. The answer to her question was obvious, but she hoped to end the conflict without having to unsheathe her claws. The way the pale female was looking at the cubs put her on edge. The next events happened so fast, Adelaide found herself submerged in the water, dragging out the male with little memory of what had transpired in between. Her large paws pressed against the wound on his neck as her golden eyes swiftly grew frantic. She would have loved to teach the demonic female what special adaptations a Bengal had for severing vital arteries, but she knew she was needed here. “Help!” she roared, putting pressure against the male’s wound.

Caylis bolted over to Icarus and the tigress. "Someone has to get Vicadio. Are you extremely fast? I don't want poor Icarus to die for nothing, killed mercilessly.Or I can go get her now." she said quickly, but not too fast.

The tigress withheld a involuntary growl at the unexpected approach of the dark female. “What you need to do is go to my den and get the dried sticks of cinnamon I have sitting in the corner. They have a warm scent. And then get me two rocks.” She was not an expert, but her homeland had been abundant in remedies and herbs, so she had enough knowledge to prevent certain things. The cinnamon, once ground into a fine powder, would help to clot the blood so he did not die of blood loss. Of course, she was not the best, so another would probably have to pick up from here. Adelaide pressed her mouth against his arm, able to take his pulse like this. “After you have brought me the cinnamon, go fetch her. I’m a Bengal tiger, not an African cheetah. Speed is not my specialty.”

(I would wait to post until Drifter gets a chance to respond, after this one.)
Circa Da'ei Xemvoi & Edmund Helios
Circa heard Alfwin in her jaws, and began huffing as she started to slow down. She felt safer now that they were a bit further away, and she finally responded as best she could with the wad of fur in her mouth, "That's true, Alfwin, but Tanya could have had more with her. You're mother told me to run and I didn't question." She was firm, but a hint of worry tugged her tone, she wanted to get back to the fight, and moreover tear that bitch a new one.
Edmund heard his mother's demand and tugged on his sister to come quickly, as he bolted right behind his 'auntie'. Circa was fast, but he still had his eyes on her- and when she slowed he let out a squeak to get her attention, and made for bolting under her paws. Circa was glad the cubs had followed, and stopped to let them catch up. A yowl in the distance made her fur bristle, and she looked at the cubs with worry. "Try and keep up, we've gotta get to the camp; and as soon as we do, I've gotta go back."

Caylis nodded and bolted as fast as her paws could take her over to the bengal tiger's den, picked up the dried sticks of cinnamon in her mouth, huh the taste wasn't that bad to her. She also looked at the rocks, they levitated as she rushed over to the tigress. "Here. Now to get Vicadio." she panted as she bolted over to Vicadio's den. "Vicadio! Icarus is hurt, he's on the edge of death! There's been an attack from Tanya, an assassin of Jaaku, Brynneth is dealing with her. You must help!" she looked at the medic pleadingly.

Corona Sulliveri
Giggles came from the cub as she latched on and tugged at Edmund's ear. Corona followed her brother a few steps as he ran from Icarus. She detached herself and plopped down on her rump, attentions moving to Alfwin and his comments. "Sour puss." She sang out teasingly, giving the young male a playful grin. Like her siblings, Corona's body tensed as a new presence made itself known. Instinctively the female lowered herself into a crouch, hoping to blend in. With widen eyes she witnessed as her parents and another new being attacked the white female. A tugging from Edmund had her back to reality. She didn't want to leave her parents but Corona knew she'd be safe with Circa. When the larger red 'ess finally came to a halt Corona went and seated herself beside Alfwin, her ears flattened and chest rising and falling swiftly as she panted.

COCAINE CALIVER & BALTHIER II
[/i] His snarled echoed through the air, intended to silence anyone whom still dared to argue or fight in his presence. The slightly flick of the tail indicated that if anyone was tending to Icarus, they could still do so. Anyone who dared to now leave the area or continue to fight was a fool. The Captain was, to say the least, pissed. A dark blue gaze swept over all of them until he stepped forward, addressing them all. "No one leaves until I'm told what happened. I will do a FULL investigation on this matter. No one of Jaaku or Meurtrier stains these lands with our own blood. No. One." Cocaine's tone was frigid cold. It was an order, a threat. Anyone who tried to leave was risking death itself. Balthier II had been the only one of the Donovan-Iden's currently around, or that he knew of. And for the same reasons that Cocaine had approached the scene, he did. Upon nearing Cocaine, the captain turned and stared. Such a cold stare too. The young lad crept back a bit submissively. Someone had royally pissed off Cocaine; that was for sure. Before he could leave, however, Balthier II was ordered to find his mother. He gave a short nod and bounded off to find her.[/ul][/blockquote]
