Alecto, Cid Alecto Donovan stretched her body out in the early morning sun and spread her wings high into the sky. She gave a hefty shake and leaped from her throne. The red-eyed queen made a habit of mingling among her pride members, never wanting to appear as if she were better than them for her position. However, it didn't mean she couldn't put her paw down when necessary. Alecto wanted the best for her pride.
The fresh-kill pill was not so fresh and she noted the need for more food. Hunting, being the least favorite of Alecto's necessities, would be done later; unless someone else should organize a party and head out. She would encourage her pride mates take initiative where applicable.
"Aunt Queen Alecto," Cid's voice chimed in. He could spot the albino queen a mile off, especially in Magmoria. When the snows fell heavy, she had the element of surprise. Not now! Cid bounced forward with a sly smile; the kind that could strike fear into enemies and amuse his closest allies. "I hope you slept well. And I noticed you eyeing the kill pile. It is low, isn't it?" Cid tilted his head at her.
"Cid, we are among our pride. More importantly, among each other. Such formalities are unnecessary right now." Alecto reminded him of this as she had done before. Still, Cid insisted on often using proper titles whenever he pleased. Sometimes improper titles at inappropriate times. At least he put in an effort most days. That had to account for something.
"Unfortunately low. I was considering a hunt, but I'm not built for it. Others in the pride more capable can do as much. Though I hope I shouldn't need organize a party for it." Alecto cast her gaze over the other dens. Magmoria was a place built for dens, though some were more dangerous than others. What with all of the magma-filled chasms throughout the land. At least their camp was, to everyone's basic knowledge, the safest of the terrain.
Alecto looked to the sky as Cid gave a nod and moved to clean away the rotting flesh, vile left-overs no good for anyone. He dug a hole and dropped them there.
"We should really consider finding one of those lava pools and dumping the maggot meals in there." Cid grumbled as he covered up the decay. Alecto drew her eyes on him again and frowned.
"No, it'd be too dangerous. We won't be losing anyone's paw - or worse - over dumping rotted meat." Alecto sounded firm on this. It wasn't a wise idea and she'd stick to that. She turned to face her den, where her children slept as well. Unless they chose another place to sleep. "Today seems it'll be nice. Some training may be in order." Alecto said thoughtfully as she disregarded the very audible groan that Cid made. He had rolled his eyes, too, but it was best she hadn't seen that. Mystic & Letti
The very long trek to Avaguardia Della Notte and back when Malificus was found to be living was beyond tiresome. Letti continued to sleep the morning away - and had pretty much slept all day of yesterday. It was... Quite something. For one creature - cub or not - to sleep for so long. Actually, mostly cause she was a cub and was supposed to be so lively and energetic. But not this time.
Mystic however was up and about, walking around the borders and not quite near the middle of the lands. Losing her uncle was harsh - she'd wanted to go off with him but honestly couldn't find it within herself to leave her beloved father. She'd always be a daddy's girl at heart, so it just took some time for her to wrap her head around the fact that they weren't gonna be around for quite sometime. She'd spent that time in the middle of the night long till the morning sun began to rise. Turning towards camp, Mystic began the journey back and blinked when she saw her aunt and Cid up and about before she shook it off. Of course the Queen was up - it'd be ridiculous to think she wouldn't be awake. "Morning." She called out, and the noted the pile for food wasn't there. She hadn't looked before she'd left but she paused now. "Do you want me to go hunt?" Anything to keep her mind off missing her best friend Adalyn and her uncle.

Tamper Silowt, Nyekundu Donovan-Silowt, Sota Donovan, Daphne Silowt-VanArkleThe trio of females showed themselves about the same time, Tamper and her niece Nyek walking and talking quietly together, happier for once in quite some time at being reunited, the mother content to let her poor cubs sleep as long as they needed, to rest after their exhausting trek. Finally! A sign of family! Treated was still nowhere to be found though, but the sister-daughter duo to the lost male wouldn't lose faith. Not when they were one step closer to being all together again. "Good morning, m'lady. Cid." Tamper purred in greeting, dipping her head to the white 'ess and the large male. Nyekundu echoed her in turn, sitting down.
Sota broke away on her own about halfway there, moving to go and greet Mystic instead. The poor girl and Ryker were left to their own devices after her littermates started to leave, spread their wings to wander and make their own way, and Xavier's daughter knew firsthand how hard it could be to cope. Perhaps eventually the younger femme would wish to see the world too, but for now she was content to stay home. Brave girl. "Hello. I think I'd like to join you, if you'd have me." She offered brightly, flaring her wings in excitement, eager to start the day off right.
And poor Daphne, like the rest of them, was still passed out in the dens as well, her tired feeties and tail stretched out in Boris', Enali and Letti's face alike, every so often twitching in her sleep. It sure was a beautiful thing. Eventually their mother would come to wake them if they finally didn't on their own, but for now, Daph was more than happy to chase butterflies and pounce in the tall grass of her dreams.
It was good to be home.

Alecto, Cid Queen Alecto turned her head to look at those just on the arrival. She turned to face them with a grin. "Good morning everyone!" Her voice sang out across the camp. "It's so good to see you all awake." Alecto tilted her head at Cid. He had wandered back over to the group.
"A hunt sounds good. Thou whom calls for it, leads." Cid smirked and opened his right wing in a gesture for Mystic to take a stance of 'sub leadership'. She could lead the hunting party, in other words. Alecto didn't seem to disagree. If the tagging is annoying, I can stop. I just want everyone to be informed of this. Ryker and Jonah were returning from an early morning hunt. They had left before the sun had rose. Ryker was most active at dawn and dusk due to his darker hues and Jonah tended to mirror that. Both trotted in carrying food, though the father's experience showed through, give the size of boar he carried, while what Jonah had seemed more like an overgrown hoofed rodent. There were still feathers on Jonah's muzzle from breakfast. They had found a bird nest and ravaged it.
Both dropped their kills off. It was not enough to feed the pride. Ryker walked over and rubbed against his daughter before going to lay down. Jonah chuffed behind her, having caught the tail end of their words. "I'm willing to go for another round," he yawned.

*Need "Neutra Cond Medium" font to view parts properly. Also damn you guys for dragging me out of retirement LOLCecil, Ingus & Angelus The three males were returning from a hunt as well, with Cecil and Ingus jointly carrying the carcass of a Buffalo in their maws. Angelus followed closely behind, and as the two older males dropped the kill into the now steadily growing pile of fresh food, Ingus and Angelus bowed their heads in greeting to their queen. Cecil on the other hand yawned lazily, "I think I'm done for the day, your highness. I'm bushed."
Ingus shot Cecil a look, "Seems someone forgot his manners when he woke up this morning. I apologize for him, sister, you know how he is."
Angelus stayed quiet, not one for much conversation, and instead took a moment to observe the group. He wondered briefly where his parents and half-brother might be right now, but quickly shook it off. No sense in dwelling on the past, and he could take some comfort in the distant cousins he had around him.

Mystic, Lavender, Lilac Letti
Two other hellioness approached from a different direction. They'd followed Hade here - well, Lilac had. Lavender had instead followed her sister, her eyes always watching Hade sharply. He made one wrong move and Lav was sure to tear him apart that was for sure. But at the sound of a hunting party both turned their gazes toward Cid and Alecto before hearing what was said and turning to look at Mystic. Mystic had turned to look at Sota for a long moment before Cid reclaimed her attention. Mystic didn't care to have anyone, but she knew being rude in front of everyone else wouldn't be helpful. She didn't know why Sota even cared to try and join her - Mystic hadn't been the most social since they'd returned.
But still, she opened her mouth to reply to Cid now that the male had his attention until five others joined them all. Her father and brother, whom had come up behind her and she purred gently when her father rubbed against her, pressing back into him with a vengeance and then looked up at her brother's words. Her eyes brightened then and a light smile crossed her maw as she dipped her head and nodded. "Alright." One of the few words she did speak around everyone else where simple replies towards others words but her eyes landed on the buffalo that Cecil and Ingus brought in and she took a sharp breath. Her patrol may not do anywhere near as good as that. But they'd try. Her gaze flicked back to Sota and she released an inaudible sigh through her nose. "You can come if you want." She'd may as well not be rude.
"And anyone else." She offered before turning and brushing against Jonah dearly as she moved to head out.
Lilac and Lavender glanced at each other before Lavender turned to head out with the party and Lilac looked about for Hade.

It felt strange for him to be back in Magmoria, after the whole ordeal of leaving in the first place. Hade would forever be grateful to Alecto for accepting him and his nephew back into the pride as well as letting Lilac and Lavender join, he was happy that they'd both agree'd to come with him he would have hated it if he'd had to part ways with the sisters.
The blue Hellion was out wandering the place orange eyes searching for his nephew Alexander wondering where the adolescent had gotten to. Hade spent most of his evening helping to train Alex, it always surprised him every day at how fast he learned. It also brought a great sense of pride in witnessing his nephew grow stronger with each moon. He'd been sad to see Naus part ways with them he had faith in him/her however and would never prevent someone from doing what they wanted. Unless said thing was inexplicably dangerous.
During his search for his nephew his pointed ears would pivot to the group that had been forming, he caught enough of what was being relayed to understand that a hunting party was being formed. Tilting his head he decided he'd like to go with them but quickly shook such thoughts as he really needed to find Alex.
His hunt for his nephew would be delayed though as he caught sight of the two purple hellioness's he'd been travelling with before. Lilac and Lavender, though it seemed Lavender had moved away to join the hunting party. Hade made his way towards Lilac a friendly greeting on his face as he approached her, bumping foreheads with her. It was something he'd picked up on, he himself rarely acted on affection gestures. Unfortunately though Hade was still oblivious to his feeling towards Lilac in particular he knew he trusted and liked her. He just didn't understand how much he liked her.

Alecto, Cid The Red-Eyed Queen gave Ryker and Jonah a nod as they came into view. More than happy to greet the arrival of more Malificus subordinates. She also gave Cecil and Ingus a nod and was clearly pleased to see that members of the pride had already gone to hunt -- should've guessed as much! It brought Alecto the greatest pride to know that initiative had been taken. At Ingus's remark over Cecil, she waved her tail in dismissal. No harm done.
Cid stretched his wings and moved to join the new hunting party. What timing, too! Just as two other groups had returned successful. Ah, well, it couldn't hurt to hunt more. He bounced around a little as they gathered up others for this patrol. Then he turned to leave as Mystic began their hunt.
Alecto watched with a prideful gaze as they headed out. Her eyes flickered over to another familiar. Hade. Thoughts of Amarah invaded the albino queen's mind and for a moment, she seemed remourseful. It was only for a moment and barely registered on her face. Soon she smiled again and stood from where she had sit to watch over the return and leave of her various subordinates.
"Well, what a pleasant start to our day." Alecto started off. "And I feel today will only get better. As I was thinking we should hold a training session. Get our blood bumping, learn from one another, and become even closer with each other. While other prides may swell in numbers above us, we will - undoubtedly - be more loyal to each other." She swept her gaze over each and every one of them. From Angelus to Lilac. From the dens nearby, knowing some still slumbered. "It won't be mandatory," The queen added in. "However, I'd very much like to see everyone participating. If possible, pairing yourselves up with those that you could teach or learn from." Alecto looked back at the group and sat down. "But enough about that for now. The day is still young. We could all use a moment to relax and simply talk. So, Cecil, Ingus, Ryker. How was the hunting this morning?" Alecto did not address Jonah, in the assumption he'd gone with the new hunting patrol. Her bright gaze invited others to join in with their own thoughts on hunting lately, curious how Magmoria fared with prey or if her pride-mates had to leave the territory for a good catch. Alexander Lite - Bolero
It had been hard on Alex to lose his mother. She had decided to just disappear and leave the rule of their new pride to Alex's father and aunt. When Hade and Naus had decided to leave, Alex had stayed. He wanted to continue Mother's dream of reclaiming the old homelands. Yet it did not take him long to lose interest. True he was with his father, aunt and new cousins.. With family... But it didn't feel like such. Within two weeks he too trekked away from those snowy lands. He had set off in search of Hade and Naus. It was a grueling search but all the skills that his uncle had shared eventually paid off. The reunion was a happy one. Perhaps more so for Alex who had not liked being on his own one bit. Yet soon after did Naus again depart. It was heart breaking but like Hade, Alex would not try and forbid it. The decision to return to Magmoria was perhaps more exciting for Alexander in comparison to Hade. Alex had been too young to fully understand whatever conflicts had effected Mother and Alecto. All he knew was he was going to see Mother Tolvia and Mother Cordelia. This had the usually quiet male very talkative all along their return journey.
It had been a disheartening thing to know Mother Tolvia was no longer around. However, it was nice to see so many familiar faces. But all the while he continued to keep himself glued to Hade. There was a determination in him to not lose any more family.
Alexander had been relaxing somewhere around the dens. But as the hustle and bustle of Magmoria picked up, he decided to finally rise for the day. He set off in search of Hade, not knowing Hade was seeking him in turn. Alex caught sight of Hade first but he paused in revealing himself. He picked up on his uncle searching. And no doubt it had to be him since he saw that the two females were in plain sight of Hade. A sly smile played on his maw as he slunk around the perimeter. This was an 'egg'cellent opportunity to test his sneaking. He began to creep closer as Hade became distracted with Lilac. He held himself low to the ground as he moved in. Clearly he was visible to everyone else being out in the open. All he cared about was being unseen by Hade. Finally he picked up speed and raced over, leaping slightly and swatting his uncle on the haunch. He came to land beside Lilac, his tail flicking excitedly and his expression to Hade screaming, 'Gotcha!'

I was literally making a reply and it got deleted. DAMN IT. Perseus Donovan
Being nocturnal in nature and a new recruit, Perseus was later to awake. He would exit his den with a quiet yawn and a stretch, wings flaring and flapping once for good measure before tightly fitting in against his sides. Striding closer, he took note of the scene before him. A party was departing, perhaps to hunt as it seemed the last of the old kill was buried and disposed of, finally. Good thing, too, as it was of poor use for much else. Liver mortis had set in long ago, draining the blood from all but the bottom of the slain beasts where other less... desirable liquids also drained and coagulated. He preferred the viscous blood of life over meat and so he had hardly touched the old in some time. Not that he hadn't replenished it, only he, solo, could only bring in so much and who would eat the old food when new was available? Picky eaters, he called them, not that he was any different.
The beautiful Queen was given a greeting in the form of a nod should ruby eyes meet his darker ones. He was not a kind beast, though respect garnered something akin to it, and that was what she had from him. She was a stunning creature, albino among a sea of red and black siblings. Beautiful as a storm.
Talk of training piqued his interest, though he showed little sign of it. He had no intention of picking out a creature to spar against, intending instead to be pitted or picked out. Didn't stop him from seeing it as a slight joke. A sudden movement caught his gaze and he watched Alexander strike, doing what cubs do. So obvious in his movements, claiming victory over a false competition, something expectant of a cub though he nearly laughed at it, and not in a good way. The topic moved on to one of the three who hunted, he assumed, and he regarded them before looking back at the still-meager pile. "About time. You would think hunting would be inherent." He was jaded, used to his years as a loner where he was the only one who cared if he ate or not. This mindset did not apply to all of course, and he figured them to feel privileged.

Jonah tailed his sister, brushing against her. He stared at the blood beast and the mixed male with a light scowl, feeling entirely upstaged. He looked to his father, but Ryker did not seem too concerned. "Where'd you find a buffalo?" The young adult grunted before following after his sister. They'd have to get something better.... Bigger. He was young and competitive. He followed his sister on the way out and whispered softly in her ear, "let's get something bigger."
Ryker had laid down not too far from Alecto and yawned lightly and perked his ears. "It was an easy hunt for myself and son. I tend to push toward the border edges and even off the lands where prey is lax. No need to expend energy on food unnecessarily." The male was fairly relaxed as he usually seemed to be. It could be linked to a calm disposition that was actually linked to discipline rather than the laziness he would have others believe. Unlike his son, he did not care too much if he was thought poorly of. He preferred to keep himself off other's list of threats.

Cigar Old bones and muscles weren't the only thing that ached into the poor Cigar. He had been traveling for months, hunting everything on his own, though he did not eat nearly as much as needed to. Being the social animal that he's always been, Cigar started to think about pride life again. He knew exactly where to go if he wanted to get back to Malificus. Unbidden, his thoughts kept coming back to the drama he had been part of with Amarah, and he wondered if it would still be there to torment him. What if she was back with them? The tan leopard mutt grimaced in pain as he stood. But once he was on his feet, he looked as proud as a youngster.
--
After half a day of walk, he started to recognize the famous Shadow Veldt's mountains. He could already sniff familiar odors. He stepped closer carefully until he reached a hill, from there he overview Alecto, Cid and few other familiar shapes. He wondered if his dear Cordelia would be there to welcome him. "Time to go back home." he spoke to himself, his voice was husky as ever from being so unused.

I think it'd be fun to rp the whole thing? Get some more actual interaction between our characters c:
Mystic, Lavender, Lilac Letti
Mystic's ears flicked at Jonah's comment and she found herself struggling to not smile at his competitive nature. If there was anything she enjoyed most - it was her father and brother's presence out of those of her family that actually had stayed. A brief shoulder bump to Jonah as they continued walking off was given her head tilting to look up at him. "And where do you propose we find something bigger than a buffalo?" She questioned, her tone soft so it remained between them as she playfully teased him. But she took stock of all she had with her, Cid, Sota, her brother, and Lavender, and suddenly felt as if she were partially under study by the older half. Her brother's idea didn't sound so bad after all - but thoughts of actually feeding the pride would take precedence instead of trying to one-up another hunting party. They were going to bring something home - that she'd make certain of.
Lilac happily greeted Hade, meeting his head bump with her own. "Morning, Hade." The soft spoken Hellion twisted to brush her cheek against Hade's own before pulling back to look at him - and then caught sight of Alex in the distance. She held back a grin at the idea of what the male was doing and instead shifted a bit to pull Hade's attention to her. "How does it feel to be back?" Of course, Alecto beginning to speak did not go unnoticed, and she flicked one ear in the Queen's direction. It sounded like a splendid idea but for the moment, she remained centered on Hade so that he'd not notice Alex coming closer and closer - hopefully at least. Because it was almost instantly after that Alex pounced when he was close enough. She eagerly awaited the moment where Alex would collide with Hade.

Alecto, Cid "Perseus." Alecto's gaze finds his and she gives him a nod. It is good to see more of the pride gathering. And although she doesn't respond to his comment on hinting, she can't help but to quietly agree, as hinted at by the momentary flicker of amusement to cross her face. Before it could be caught, she turns her head back at Ryker and smiles. "I'm glad to hear that. It's good that all of our energy isn't put just into the hunt." The queen will have none of that. They need to even things out and Ryker has the right idea.
Nearby conversations and playful mannerisms do not go unnoticed. Alecto looks their way for a brief moment and breaths deep. Upon that, she notes a distant yet familiar smell. The queen stands and turns to look upon distant hills. A scent has been carried to them and Alecto is quick to identify it. "Cigar?" She murmurs, glancing back at those around her whom she has been in discussion with. Ryker, Perseus, Cecil, and Ingus. Then she looks back at the distantly approaching shape of the father of her cubs.
- - - !
Cid bounces along with the others while mostly keeping to himself, until they start to talk about what they will hunt. "Bigger than buffalo? What about elephant?" Despite the atrociousness of the suggestion, he is entirely serious. Though to find an elephant meant a walk far longer than he was thinking/
