Alighieri followed with Circa's mark quietly as she lead them to their hiding spot, Alighieri stepped back and away from the group and scratched at the volcanic ash, making it loose... He then proceeded to hold his breath to prevent ash from getting into his lungs, roll in it, then shake himself. The scent of Meurtrier became covered and the Ash Leopard was now anonymous to an extent. He held back and watched the scene unfold for now.

DarkStar, Shinku, Samara
Shinku was already dark pelted as it was, saw fit to brush against other rocks and such to dim his scent as it were. He caught sight of Samara, Alighieri, and DarkStar doing the same then cleared his throat to DarkStar. One shared glance and DarkStar sighed softly to himself, dipping his front lower so he could roll into the ash and cover his pelt with it. He knew he was too red, but he had hoped deftly to not be completely covered in the stuff. Standing back up he held back the want to shake his pelt free and trotted over to Shinku's side, giving him a nudge and then turning and walking with him as they both took their spots and hid. Samara shook her head at the two before nodding at Alighieri as she walked past him and took her spot opposite of them. She had made sure to cover her mane and tail tip.

Lucas Helios
He was hidden carefully, he was covered with soot, and thanks to his dark fur, and his forest demonic genes, he was hidden carefully so he wouldn't be detected. He scanned the horizon calmly, looking up to see if the full moon was rising. He unsheathed his claws, he would help Meurtrier even if they lost.. which he doubted it. Would the enemy come at all.. or was this a trap or scheme? He shook his head, all would be revealed sooner or later, he was prepared.

(busy, from phone, don't judge)
Circa's ears we're folded back as she trekked through the ash, a steady line of Meurtrian warriors behind her. A sort of vibrant pride flowed through her to be the one to lead them, yet worry all the same... She directed them to their hiding places, and found her own in the front, waiting and ready to give the signal when the time came. She could only hope that Osic would be smart in the situation, but again, some sorry was bound to be there...
Kazbek on the other hand, didn't want to wait at all. He shuffled in his hiding spot, claws silently scraping soot as his blood began to boil. Just merely thinking of what they had done to his mother made him quiver in anticipation to rip La Morte's head off- but alas; he would have to wait. Unfortunatly, thing would not go as planned, thought neither he nor Circa could foresee.

[/style] [atrb=width,500,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign,top][bg=410002] » Cassius Cassius had followed without complaint, for once. He had a lot on his mind, but he hoped that resolution was not far in the future. He didn't care to look around too much, but he knew he had been here before. As he waited with the others, a distasteful glance was cast in the direction of those rolling in the ash. The Caliver son told himself that he blended in enough already without having to get grimy. He had no problem, however, with the idea of blood on his paws. Not today. He remained where directed, watching in silent apprehension.

COCAINE CALIVER, KODIAC KANNON, KEJETHAN CRIMSON
A deep growl began to rise from his chest. He passed a glance toward Osic. So far he hadn't really made any attempt to run. With Neo and Jasper there, it wasn't all that surprising. Cocaine hoped, prayed, Osic would make the wise decision. Kodiac and Kejethan crouched low, covered in ash and soot, and readied themselves for Circa's go.[/ul][/blockquote]

Jasper and Neo quietly followed Cocaine the entire way, bouncing ideas from one another about the many things that consumed their brains. Jasper was concerned about his family. Asesino was quite pregnant and his daughter, Faia was starting to fall apart. He still had no idea where Dhalia was and Viktoria had very recently had cubs. Then there was Victor, who was a mute. And Aligheri needed to be protected, as the pair had taken him as a ward.
Their greatest worry, however, was that La Morte would bring Victor today and the young male would end up with more than he could handle. They had trained him well, but this was a very difficult game to play. "Something seems strange," Neo murmured, stand on the opposite side of Cocaine, only speaking as he felt the Commander should be privy to something like that.
Jasper nodded. "Should be able to sense them by now. Maybe they didn't bring a big group..."

ESTEVAN Estevan merely gave a grunt as he stayed hidden in the shadows, next to his brother. They'd travelled fairly far, and now they were covered in soot and walking into an obvious ambush. "Don't like this one bit." He whispered, mostly to himself, and hoped that the higher ups were thinking the same thing. But he was ready to strike if anything went wrong.

Circa & Kazbek & Atryn
Kazbek looked breifly to his brother, nodding. He understood, but he couldn't say he felt the same. Unlike Estavan, he was eager. His gaze then flickered to Circa, watching as she peeked out from her hiding spot. As spoken by most members around her, they all had the same thought. They should be here by now... And if they were here, they had hidden pretty damn well.
Then, a movement in the distance made her ears perk up in alert. "Look!" She gasped, for those nearest to her to hear, because what she saw wasn't possibly La Morte at all. A small shape began to climb the horizon line, looking down on them in hesitation before slowly making it's way closer into the moonlight....
"It's Atryn!"
The little cub picked up a paw to wipe his eyes once more on his way down, not wanting to show how upset he had been when Jericho left him. He was very sure that it was the last thing his father would want to see. Looking down upon them, he could see his father and two giant creatures; ones that made him almost want to stop and hesitate again. But they were all familiar, all of them... It would take him a moment to realize that he was returning home, and not somewhere new. Perhaps for an adult, the time he had spent away would have been little to nothing. But Atryn was a cub, he was hitting milestones in his life, and already he was growing taller and lanky. To him, it felt like ages since he had been in Meurtrier, ages since he had seen his mother and father.
He was afraid to return after all this time.. But somehow, though, excitement surged through him right along with the fear. He would see all of his family again, his mother, siblings... All of them. He had grown so close to those who took him in, but he was still a cub; he would always want to see his family again and run to them for comfort, regardless. Once he had traveled to where he felt was close enough for them to see him clearly, he paused, taking another moment to look upon them, pelt beginning to shviver. Please, don't be mad... His eyes spoke, watering and whining a bit as he could hold back no longer. He lunged into a run- straight for his father's paws.
He was home.

COCAINE CALIVER, KODIAC, KEJETHAN
His tone was annoyed, and a tad bit sloppy. Cocaine cleared his throat loudly and then glanced at the horizon from which Atryn came. "I've half a mind to go and attack them. But a full moon sheds enough light for a well trained warrior to see. We'll bring Atryn home and then discuss our plans for attack to get Caylis home." A glance was passed toward where Kazbek and Estevan were with Circa, then he looked at Osic. "What would you have done?"[/ul][/blockquote]

Alighieri looked on with ears erect, listening closely to what was said. He formed his opinions, but kept them to himself. The slow flicking of his tail expressed uneasiness.
What now? The Ash Leopard did not get the information he wanted, and with the conclusion that La Morte was not here, he stood up and extended his head as though seeing through the haze from whence Atryn came from would be possible, but alas it was not. Not a sight, not a sound. Alighieri momentarily considered going to check it out himself, for he had anonymity more than anyone else here and could easily pass as a wild Ash Leopard in these lands(Unless DarkStar's words spread to La Morte, of course...)... That's an idea, he thought to himself, but did not act on it on account of staying in the mark and under orders. He looked down to the higher ups and waited.

Project Caliver | Osic Donovan
Project followed the other warriors. His green's scanned everywhere once he took position. Ears and nose also worked to keep up on the alert. Suspicion welled in his mind as his young sibling collided with the Commander. Heh, not even La Morte wanted Osic it seemed. Project's snout crinkled in a silent snarl. What the hell was La Morte doing anyway? Gaze moved toward the Crimson twins. What did they make of all this he wondered.
No complaining had come from Osic. In fact he had said nothing the whole way there. When they arrived he stood patiently. No way was he going to make any wrong moves with the two that towered beside him. Not that he planned to anyway. Attentions snapped into full focus as the little cub appeared. Osic tensed a bit, ready for the trade. But to his surprise it didn't come. Nothing came. Instantly fear gripped his chest. Had Cocaine already done something to La Morte? To his mother? Looking around and then hearing the Commanders words Osic realized that the other pride indeed had simply not come. But.. Why?
What would you have done?
The young Donovan squared his gaze with Cocaine. Gone with the trade.. Not gone with the trade.. Run away.. Circle back.. Talk to my mother.. Get the truth.. Betray my mother.. Betray my father.. But instead he said, "Doesn't seem like it matters now." Eyes flicking toward Atryn as he sat perched on Cocaine's back. He gave the cub a smile before looking back to Coke.

COCAINE CALIVER, KODIAC KANNON, KEJETHAN CRIMSON, BACHNADE
But he didn't give Osic much of a chance to reply after that. His gaze fell upon the others. Neo, Jasper, and Circa. "We'll head back. It shouldn't take us too long." If they walked fast enough, the full moon party would be back in Shadow Veldt by morning. That was his goal. Atryn and Ryssor were in for a sweet reunion. Little did he know of the horrible slaughter that waited for them. Kodiac stretched with an annoyed sigh. Kejethan began to grind his teeth and he took several moments to study his father and uncle. They likely had something worthwhile to say about all of this. He would see to it - later - that he found out just what that something was. For now, however, he and Kodiac turned in near sync and began to follow the lead; be that Circa or Cocaine. Whichever fell in first before them. Their destination was home. [/ul][/blockquote] (Alright. When the morning rises in Dissention / SP ?? LOL / they'll arrive. For now, feel free to continue interaction here.)

DarkStar, Shinku, Samara.
All three heaved a sigh, although Samara twitched in annoyance. In some ways she was looking for a fight, in others not so much but either way, they had gotten Atryn back and that's what mattered. All three turned to walk back without much of a word but DarkStar broke off from Shinku for a moment, waving his tail towards his friend to let him know he'd probably be back later on. Instead, DarkStar had his eye on the pure red Bloodbeast that turned and began walking with Kejethan. Shinku paused to look over at him, noting his brother and moved after him anyway and Shinku took the moment to nudge Kejethan with his wing in a slightly playful but brotherly manner. He hadn't really spent all too much time with his brother, this he knew. But he did owe Kejethan a thank you for having not chosen a side back with the whole Alighieri drama.
"I heard about you and my daughter." His tone was low but amicable. He wasn't looking for any fights or anything.
